Reviewed by TuberoseDaniel James, required by his alpha to attend a wolf council meeting at Vourdala Island, never expects to run into his mate, Brom McGregor. Several years ago, Brom kicked him out of their pack, saying he would never mate him, that he didn’t love Daniel. Running into Brom is almost more than he can handle when Daniel knows he still loves the man.
Brom McGregor is shocked to see Daniel, the man he’s always loved and never forgotten. He’s even more shocked when his own jealousy makes him claim Daniel as his mate, especially since Brom is already married with two small children. To add to Brom’s problems, there’s a third mate, Jaryn, whom Daniel doesn’t even know about, someone that Brom has spent their years apart protecting.
Faced with a hunt to the death ordered by his father because he mated Daniel, Brom is forced to flee with his two small children and Jaryn. The only place he can think to go is to Daniel. Can he convince Daniel that he sent him away all those years ago to save his life even knowing that he’s putting Daniel in danger again? Will Daniel forgive him in time to save Jaryn’s life?
Stormy Glenn made me fall in love with Daniel, Brom and Jaryn. They fit together beautifully.
Daniel James thinks he will never be with anyone again since his mate, Brom McGregor, made Daniel leave their pack and Brom five years ago when Brom told Daniel that he did not love him and he would never claim Daniel as his mate. Brom married shortly after sending Daniel away and has two cubs. When Daniel’s alpha sends Daniel to a wolf council meeting and he sees Brom there, it is more than he can take. Daniel leaves to go back to his room. Brom follows Daniel and they end up having a sexual encounter. When Brom comes close to claiming Daniel then refuses, Daniel tells Brom to go back to his wife and cubs. Later Brom sees Daniel with Daniel’s alpha and in a jealous rage, claims Daniel. Daniel feels Brom’s regret through their mating bond and takes off. Brom follows at a distance and while trying to decide what to do, Jaryn shows up.
We find out that Jaryn is also a mate and Brom has been with him the five years that he was apart from Daniel, protecting him. Brom has told Jaryn all about Daniel, but Daniel has no idea about Jaryn. This medication has brand viagra mastercard saved many marriages and relationships. Daniel also has no idea about the real reason Brom sent him away–Brom’s father. Brom’s father threatened to kill Daniel and Brom if Brom did not send him away, marry the woman he picked for Brom and have cubs. The new threat from Brom’s father, since Brom claimed Daniel, sends Brom and Jaryn to Daniel and his pack for protection. When Daniel sees Jaryn, he knows that Jaryn is also their mate. Ms. Glenn somehow manages to bring these three men together as equal partners that you know are supposed to be together always. When Jaryn is injured and Daniel and Brom have to claim him to save his life, we also see that even though Daniel just met Jaryn, he cares for him deeply.
I will be the first to admit that I do not care for ménage stories. I always feel like one of the three people involved is usually more of a third wheel than three equal partners. Ms. Glenn doesn’t make me feel this at all. She also really makes you feel like you are there with her characters. I was hurting so bad for Daniel when he sees Brom I felt the same pain he was feeling. I felt Brom’s frustration with being so close to Daniel and his fear of what his father will do if he claims Daniel like he wants to. I also felt Jaryn’s worry that since Brom and Daniel have a history and a past sexual relationship that he has not had with Brom, since Brom was protecting him and Jaryn is so young, that maybe Brom and Daniel will be better off without him. We also see Jaryn’s courage when he tries to take on Brom’s father and his men by himself, to try to keep Brom and Daniel, along with Brom’s cubs, safe.
This is the second series of Ms. Glenn’s that I started late in the series and like the other, I will be getting the rest of the series and look forward to reading them all. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone.
