I like suspense in a story, and I enjoyed the way Ms. Gayle led me away from the real villain more than once. The action was fast paced and thoroughly breathtaking at times. There is nothing worse than knowing from page two who the bad guy behind everything is, but with this I was pleased to be kept in the dark until very near the end of the book. This is a recommended read for those who want to be kept on the edge of their seat. But keep the ice handy, because Ms. Gayle writes this one super hot.
