Instead, she finds the Empress enjoying some carnal delight on the throne with one of her harem. Libby expects her to call the guard, but is shocked when the Empress urges her to escape, rather than be captured and turned into a breeder, or worse. This book can be read by itself, but it gains clarity when you have read the first book in the series. I recommend that you make sure that your air conditioner is set on high, and that you have a big glass of ice water on hand when you read this.
