Chaz would far rather be with her. She’s one sexy handful. With Christmas near, both fantasies may just come true and maybe they’ll find their own happily-ever-after along the way.

It’s one thing to give someone a surprise. It’s quite another to surprise them with a herd of reindeer.

Ms. Kerce has an incredibly descriptive writing style that pulled me into every single scene. From the taste of lasagne to the sight of reindeer adjusting to their new home, I felt like I was standing next to the characters and experiencing everything through their eyes from the beginning to the end. This was the first time I’d ever read one of this author’s stories, but I will be keeping an eye out for what she comes up with next.

While I was amused by the idea of Cherry delivering reindeer to Chaz instead of the horses he was expecting, I would have really liked to see more time spent developing this plot twist. Chaz’s reactions to the big surprise weren’t always consistent with how I would have expected this character to behave based on what the narrator shared about his personality previously. It would have been helpful to spend more time on this so that I could have a better understanding of whether or not he was acting like his normal self. If not for this issue, I would have chosen a much higher rating for this book.

The saucy dialogue made me grin. Both of the main characters were witty and intelligent, so they were always ready to say cheeky things to each other when the mood was right. What made their conversations even better was that Chaz and Cherry were so equally matched intellectually speaking. I liked seeing how their banter carried over into the sex scenes, too.

Give Christmas Cowboy a try if you’re in the mood for something playful.

Mayhem never said he was a good guy. If Butters wants to help her brother, Mayhem can help, but it’ll come with a price. All she has to do is be his for a week. But the more time he spends with her the more he wants her as more than a piece of ass. He wants her to see she belongs with him, and if that means taking out the men that are causing her and her brother problems, he has no issues bringing out his violent beast.

I absolutely loved this book! As usual, Jenika Snow delivered another sexy and exciting read with the second book in her newest biker romance series. Mayhem is the follow up book to Hard Core, and it was even better than the first one.

Jenika Snow is incredibly talented at world building and pulling the reader into her character’s drama. I was intrigued by Mayhem from the beginning, but as this series grows, I become more and more engaged with each of the characters. At first, Mayhem seemed like a hardened biker who unabashedly coerced Butters into sleeping with him to save her brother. Then I realized that he genuinely cared about her and that deep down it scared him, but he was willing to do anything to keep her safe. Even if it meant starting a war. Now Butters was much the same; afraid of her feelings for Mayhem, so she resisted him. She was an okay heroine for the alpha biker because her loyalty was strong. How else could she keep helping such a stupid brother.

Just like always, the writing style was excellent. The characters were vividly described and grabbed my interest right away. The author even opening up the way for the next book with Fury, the MC Prez. Now I come to my favorite aspect of the book. The love scenes were even more explicitly described than usual. This book was a red hot read that included some negotiation.

I enjoyed reading this book and already look forward to the next book in this great series.

But as with any new relationship there can be bumps and it takes time to get comfortable with each other. Can these two couples combine their lives, love and create something new?

I really enjoyed this sensual story. It’s a progression from Sean Michael’s book “Blended Family” but can easily be read as a stand alone. Mr Michael has done an excellent job of laying out the backstory without massive info-dumps or making it feel like a rehash of old stuff. I was pleasantly impressed by the seamlessness of having Max, Peter, Devon and Swan’s story and relationship progress while still explaining how far they’d already come on this journey. I also really loved how all four characters had their own style and quirks. With four main characters it would be easy to have one or more appear too similar – or perhaps be somewhat overlooked in the narrative, but I found them to be all unique and interesting and take equal shares of the spotlight. The author is to be commended in my view for meshing the various threads of story perfectly to make an excellent foursome.

This is a highly erotic tale, and while there’s plenty of BDSM play and toys, I found it sweet, charming and extremely tasteful. I could also strongly appreciate how the plot and storyline basically *is* the foursome coming together. I loved reading about the small hiccups of couples moving in together, finding their new pace and settling in with each other. There of course was some outside conflict about half way through – and while I found the problem the four men faced sad, it was also a strong reminder of how some pockets of the world is today. Bittersweet. Most of all though, I loved seeing these characters I enjoy coming together, sharing their bodies and home and finding their new rhythm together.

I felt Combine is a strongly romantic story with excellent characters, a realistic plot and interactions and more than a hint of laughter. This is a wonderful story and one I happily found myself engrossed by. I can’t wait to crack it open and start reading it again for pure pleasure. A vibrant, wonderful tale.

A one night stand? Not if you arrange to have another.

When Ruth Watson finally decides to break her depressive state of singleness and get back out on the social scene, the last thing she expects to happen is meet Mr Right and share a moment of passion in the middle of the buzzing city… But she does.

After meeting Heath Berkley on her first venture out after two years of hermit like existence, Ruth’s life suddenly becomes exciting for the first time. As their meetings become more frequent, and their love affair blossoms, a common interest between the pair is found.

But when their journey into the darker side introduces them to George Randall, things take a sinister turn, and when his true identity is revealed, Ruth has a hunger for revenge.

Knowing there is only one place she wants to be, Ruth follows Heath’s disciplinary hand to the Highlands of Scotland, in hope that his healing arms will squeeze the pain and devious thoughts away. At least until she has to return to London.

After her divorce, Ruth kept her head down and lived for work and the quiet of her own home. Two years down the road and she’s finally decided to get out and be social once again. She breaks her drought by going to one of London’s jazz clubs, and after a number of drinks gets flirting with Heath, a sexy, mysterious man who zings on her radar. Throwing caution to the wind, she starts up a steamy relationship with him and explores the erotically charged intimacy she’s been missing lately.

This is a fast paced, steamy novel. Very graphic and with some downright dirty language, it’s not for the faint of heart. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Ruth and Heath and their naughty adventures. I also really liked how realistic most of the story was. It lent the story an air of a girlfriend chatting to me about how she hooked up with her new man. The book is written in the first person but mostly it felt like a friend chatting to me over a nice cup of tea.

There’s quite a bit of light kink. I didn’t find any of it outrageous or really over the top. Public sex, a bit of light bondage play, teasing and light spanking (nothing too harsh) and a swingers sex club all made this book deliciously erotic, but nothing I’ve not read of before. I did find it a little strange how the author outlined and described every minute task that Ruth did (it’s been quite some time since I’ve read a story where the heroine waxes her lady parts or discusses in detail buying groceries and sexy knickers) but again, I really felt this just added to the feel of a friend confiding to me of how her recent dates have gone. It was strange, yes, but only a little bit and didn’t ruin the flow of the story for me.

I thought the conflict around the club a little disappointing – particularly Ruth’s reaction to it by trying to make Heath jealous. The miscommunication felt a bit rushed and I’m not exactly what purpose it served. Nor do I understand why the club had such an enormous build up, only for them to leave after ten minutes. I was left confused and let-down to not see more of the club or even have a proper scene where Ruth and Heath enjoyed themselves in it and did naughty things. One of the sub-plots was also left dangling and I personally don’t enjoy when some of the plot is left so open and unresolved.

Overall I really enjoyed this story. I felt an endearment to both Heath and Ruth’s characters and mostly had fun reading about their adventures and play. I think this book is naughty and spicy enough to suit most readers. I feel most readers will find this as fun, playful and spicy as I did. A fun read and a great way to spend a quiet weekend.

Dylan sees a place for Hazel in his bed, but what he wants is more than a one-night stand.

As she acclimates to the idea that Dylan may not be entirely straight or entirely single, Hazel soon finds herself caught between two dominant men whose bond seems to balance on a knife’s point.

This story had so many aspects and elements to it that I hardly know where to begin. I adored the relationship between Hazel and Dylan from the very beginning. Even if they came together under what some may consider questionable reasons, it was clear from the beginning that they had chemistry and needed to be together. Then add in Ward, the questionable roommate of Dylan and Hazel’s past, and you get some amazing turn of events.

Hazel is one amazing woman, even though she has had some events in her life that has left her a bit jaded. I think on a personal level I related to her; she built a hard exterior to keep others out. That helped me connect with her as well as root for her from the very beginning. I knew she could find happiness if only she came to terms with her past and I was glad to watch the development.

Dylan is just too suave for his own good. I mean, how many girls and guys can he seduce really? I can tell why people seem to love him he just has a way about him. He makes you want to accept, respect, and submit to him. Yet, he does not take it for granted which really is a gift in itself.

Ward on the other hand is a guy I could never really figure out if I liked or hated, which is exactly how Hazel felt most times, and exactly what the author was going for. Even in the end I learned to appreciate him a bit more, but I still felt like someone needed to keep an eye on that one just in case. I also understand how he added a certain level of excitement and unpredictability to the story that really brought it to a different level.

Overall, I have to say I enjoyed reading this story. The relationship development was shaky at times but still continuously progressed. I have to say however that this is not one of those stories that left me thinking “and they lived happily ever after”. I felt like in the end some things went unresolved and could have used some wrapping up, but this may just be the authors way of getting me to look forward to the next story.

Then, the infamous Steffie Sherwood shares a story about her naughty encounter with Santa Claus, and finally you’ll experience the first story over again, but from the point of view of the lucky submissive.

Christmas for the naughty can be just as nice.

The skillful crafting of three erotica shorts offer an enjoyable reading experience threaded together by the Christmas holiday. It pays just as much to be bad as it does to be good for the participants in the hot telling of The Favour and Merry Christmas. The first person telling of The Favour is reversed in the third person telling of Merry Christmas as we peek inside of the sexy Christmas present a dominant soldier rewards his submissive slave girl with whose waiting for him at home. Santa’s Knee deviates from the theme, but still maintains its own titillating twist as our main character Steffi, retells her visit to see Santa in her diary.

I enjoyed the fluid writing of the stories, but was a little disappointed to not have a little more heat. All three stories were sexy, but there was nothing so hot that I couldn’t find it in a regular steamy romance novel.

All play was consensual and the author walks a delicate line as she examines The Favour in a mirror writing from the sub’s perspective in Merry Christmas. I like how the excitement, hesitations, and ultimately the climaxes happened in real ways. It is easy to picture the character’s enjoyment, and the beautiful writing of each setting replaced my home office with the images the author portrayed. My review places this book somewhere in the middle, not because the writing wasn’t good, but because it is a little deceptive to claim three different erotica shorts. There were really two shorts and three perspectives. Merry XXXmas is fun and sexy, but didn’t cause any sparks to fly for me. Minor typos were also present, but nothing my brain didn’t fill in on my first read through. I loved that the stories were fun to read, and not just hot. Erotica should be just as entertaining as it is sexy and Merry XXXmas delivers.

In all, Merry XXXmas is a good eBook to keep bedside when you want something a little spicy. Snuggle in for a good time. The scenes imagined might not cause you to stir into a frenzy, but they are still nice catalyst for a fantasy or two. Maybe even a little role-playing.

This book was another great read from Jenika Snow! I love a second chance romance and this one was a very satisfying story that had me entertained from beginning to end.

Hardcore is the first book in the Bleeding Mayhem MC Series. I am very excited about this exciting new series and all of the intriguing secondary characters that were introduced in this book.

I liked that Big and Claire had a romantic history and were as closely connected as they turned out to be. Claire’s brother, Mayhem, was the VP of the Bleeding Mayhem and Big was once her man. They were in love but Big wasn’t good at relating his feelings. He never let on that Claire was anything more than sex to him. So Claire left him and moved on to a new life away from the club. Now as the story opened she is in trouble and returns to her brother and the club for protection.

There was a lot of feelings that came through in this story. Big and Claire both felt regret about the way their relationship ended two years ago. Neither one of them has been able to move on, so now that Claire has returned to the fold then it doesn’t take long before they hook back up. This time around Big doesn’t fool around or take any chances on losing Claire. I loved how he took charge by baring his feelings. Big was the kind of romantic hero that I look for in a book.

Jenika Snow colors a little outside of the box with this newest series. The premise is more bold for this one and the characters are realistic for an motorcycle club lifestyle. As usual, the writing was excellent. The second chance story line was entertaining, and the love scenes were loaded with passion and dirty kinky sex. I was also intrigued by man of the secondary characters, and look forward to reading all of their stories, especially Mayhem.

This book was an entertaining read and a great start to the new series. I enjoyed it very much.

The Divine Series by Heather Rainier is one of my favorite series. I could never get tired of it because of the way the author keeps each book fresh and unique. I have to say that Bunny and the Beast is one of my favorite stories yet.

The main reason that I loved this book so much was how the characters stood out. Bunny was righteously funny and she kept Joseph the big bad Dom on his toes. Then factor in that Joseph was so sweet toward Bunny, and it just melted my heart to goo. Not to forget that for all of Bunny’s sass and charm was a vulnerability that gets me every time. So the author had me hooked with these two characters, and that was before I even got to the steamy intimate parts and the BDSM elements.

Now, as usual, Heather Rainier’s writing style was simply wonderful. Her characterization was spot on, Bunny and Joseph were beautifully vibrant and pulled me right into the story. Bunny was a strong heroine, spunky with a touch of vulnerability. Joseph was honest with her from the start about what he expected from the relationship. The entire story was easily paced and the writing quality was every bit as excellent as I had expected. It was probably the most fun read in the series and I enjoyed it very much.

Bunny and the Beast was a very hot read with the BDSM aspect. It was also a multifaceted read that had more than a few laughs and some serious trope that came along from Bunny’s past. The plot hit all the right buttons to keep me interested. I highly recommend this novel, and the series, to anyone who likes a more explicit read that is still a quality story. I look forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

It’s just a normal day until Dill meets Brad, a sweet little sub who is a perpetual student and seems to be a little lost. Drawn to Brad from the moment he laid eyes on him, Dill craves to introduce the younger man to the lifestyle of BDSM. Brad isn’t sure at first, but he is open-minded. Brad loves learning, and always eager for new experiences. Dill can certainly give him that and more.

This is a fun, sharp read. I found myself almost immediately liking both Dill and Brad. I love Sean Michael’s writing style, and almost always fall into his stories within the first few pages. This was no exception. I really enjoyed how open to exploring Brad was. While he wasn’t interested in BDSM per se – he had an insatiable curiosity and loved learning all sorts of things. Dill uses this hunger for knowledge to draw Brad in, with wonderful results. I found Brad endearing – and laughed aloud at some of his thoughts and comments, like wanting some time to read up and research various sex toys and other items. Dill was also incredibly patient, and that was exactly what Brad needed.

While I’ve only read a few other of the Hammer books in this series, this stands very well on its own. The club and some of the other members we briefly met are well explained and I feel anyone could pick this up as a stand alone novel and not miss a thing. There is plenty of kink in this lovely novel (rimming, nipple play and other BDSM playing) but I really loved how so much more of the book was about two men learning about each other and starting a deep and loving relationship. There’s fun times with them cooking, having coffee, just getting to know each other outside the bedroom. While the sex is smoking hot and prolific, it’s not just a number of bedroom scenes strung together. Brad and Dill get to know each other on every level – and their relationship is romantic, emotional and far more than just excellent sex. The author has an amazing talent to mesh these two aspects together and making a novel that has the best of both worlds.

I found this to be an amazing M/M full of kink, humour and excellent characters. Readers don’t need to be familiar with the other Hammer novels, and I would heartily recommend this novel. I loved the characters and found myself eagerly turning the pages late into the night. A wonderful tale I will happily reread many times in the future.

An anthology about gay men in a fictional campus surroundings of Cathia University, with an occasional common hangout, like Palozzo’s pizza joint.

Private Lessons by KyAnn Waters

A fairly simple and predictable tale about an out and proud teaching assistant and a closeted jock student. Both want the other in secret. When they realize the attraction is mutual, sex happens right off the bat. This story had no real tension or climactic scene, as Ryan’s coming out to his teammates is remarkably swift and accepting. The end result didn’t really justify Ryan’s fears of coming out. Also, a professor as bad as Turner should be booted off campus. Basically, a hot little fluff piece.

The Dust Of Everyday Life by Sara York

Cole is into music and Seever into swimming. They get together for some hot loving, and are outed in a paper by a homophobic so-called journalist who smelled a scandal and believed everyone would take her side. The writing in this story is okay but nothing special. When it comes to society’s attitudes toward gays, however, this paints a wonderful positive image of encouraging friends and strangers. So, not bad.

The Eloquent Jock by Cassandra Carr

Being a jock doesn’t mean one doesn’t have a brain. That was a nice twist in the set-in-stone jock character. Brendan plays hockey but he’s also an English lit major. I appreciated that aspect, how one thing doesn’t define you as a whole. A shy professor was also a nice change from the confident and even aggressive alpha male type, and I quite liked Scott, even though at times his reasons for resisting Brendan’s advances seemed a little thin. Nonetheless, the sex scenes are hotter than hot. I admit, too, prior to reading this story I’d never heard the term puck bunnies.

Switching Leads by Mia Downing

Lost lovers reconnecting after a decade. What could be hotter? The tension is already there in more ways than one. Since John, a coach for an equestrian team, has plenty of reasons to hate Finn, his alcoholic ex who is also his new assistant, this read like enemies-to-lovers story, which I liked a lot. Making amends through hot angry sex? Why not. Plus, the memories of what they shared, the good and the bad, added a touch of beauty to their reconciliation.

Solid Education by Bianca Sommerland

A cute little rescue dog, Matty, totally steals the show here, which was good since the characters didn’t grab me. Derek, a veterinary professor, is something of a jerk. Gage, a veterinary student and ex-military man, has traumas, injuries, and a dead K-9. Derek was really mean to Gage a lot, and I didn’t like that. Sure, Matty the dog does bring out Derek’s softer side but by then I already disliked him too much to care. Gage deserved better in my honest opinion. In any case, I found that this tale didn’t quite fit with the overall campus theme. Just felt like the odd story out, so to speak. The sudden one-eighty to love baffled me too.

Did Somebody Order a Pizza? by L.A. Witt

This story was very well written. Especially the flashbacks to Paul and Cory’s student days had quite an impact, reading as awkward and realistic. But… there was a really bad hazing incident and a subsequent breakup. Cory wants Paul back, but I wanted Paul to kick Cory’s tail. Cory was not a likable character, and Paul forgave much too soon. This tale of too quick a redemption, told in first person, left a bitter taste in my mouth. There’s so much hate and violence and cowardice here it was a bit of a downer.

Winning Bracket by Annabeth Albert

By far the best of the bunch, this story delivers where the others in the anthology have failed. We get a beautiful, awkward, cute, realistic love affair even though Edwin and Ollie start out as sort of frenemies (that’s a word, right?). A silly bet over basketball leads to a kiss, and much, much more. Edwin may be the sweet little virgin but he wants his kiss, dammit, and he wants it from popular jock Ollie. I loved their interaction, be it talking or smooching, teasing or goading. Beautifully crafted tale of two young men playing games, bantering, and falling in love. Made me miss real life kissing sessions.

Artistic Endeavor by Whitley Gray

Two artists—a graphic design professor (at 25?) and a painter—are brought together because one is knowledgeable about sex and the other is a virgin. Yeah, the story’s predictable in every sense. But both Michael and Cobey were kinda cute, the former playboy who falls in love for the first time and the other a virgin who finds love on his first go. Even when Michael hurts Cobey’s feelings by rejecting him, I got that Michael’s just scared and falling. There’s a lot of kissing, adorable moments, emotions shared, and a slowly forming relationship. This is the longest story in the anthology. Despite the no-surprises plot, the ending was sweet.
