Soon the brothers do reveal that she is suppose to be with both of them and that there is no turning back.

Brie Ferguson is a good attorney. So much so in fact that she has placed criminals in jail while working in the office of the District Attorney; however one of those dangerous murderers escapes and is now determined to go after Brie. When the sweltering hot McCarthy brothers decide to protect their mate, many secrets about the world of shape-shifters come to the surface, including one ancient prophecy that involves the lovely Brie.

Morgan Fox has done a good job of spinning an interesting tale of intrigue as well as erotic romance. I enjoyed her characters and I found myself looking forward to reading her second book to finish the tangled-web of these three interesting characters.

I did find it a bit unusual that you have to read both Seduced by the Moon as well as Tempted by the Moon to fully see what unfolds with these characters’ lives, but even so this story was fascinating and held my interest throughout the entire book. Still, it does not stand alone, and I do highly recommend reading the two stories together.

I love that the villain was horrendous! It made the story more exciting. Couple that with smoking hot loving and this story sizzled. I did discover quite a few editing mistakes, but overall I really enjoyed this tale and will be keeping it in my “to-read again in the future” folder.

Need a midnight thrill by the moonlight? Well this book might be right up your alley! Hot, sexy werewolves and their mates…”oh my”!

Oceanographer Maura Ryan travels to the tropics to meet with her mentor, who claims to have made an amazing new discovery. By the time she gets there, he has vanished…and in his place are five mysterious men who have a strange connection to the sea.

As they help her search for the missing scientist, Daq, Janko, Ivar, Ejan and Tagin introduce Maura to the uninhibited life they enjoy on the island. Before long, they ask her to join them in their balmy paradise, and she is tempted to accept.

However, Maura can’t help wondering about her new friends’ role in Dr. Miller’s disappearance. She has also begun to suspect that they aren’t exactly like other men. Can she respond to their desire for her, wondering if they might not be what they seem? Should she give into what she feels for them, knowing that they might not be human?

Diamonds in the Sand is Cassandra Pierce’s second book featuring her Aquans. I love the lighthearted outlook of these books, filled with passion and humor and hot hunks.

When Dr. Maura Ryan received a message from her former mentor about a fantastic new discovery he had made, she flies to the tropical island where he now lives at his invitation. Upon her arrival, the oceanographer is disappointed to find that Septimus Miller seems to have disappeared from his home without leaving any word for her. In his place are five gorgeous men, each one devastatingly handsome, willing to help her in any way possible. She falls under the spell of the island, and into the arms of Daq, one of the men living in her mentor’s home.

When she finally uncovers the discovery Septimus spoke of, she realizes that these five men are not exactly human, and they all want to keep her there with them. Can she accept what these five men offer her? Will she discover where her mentor has gone to? Can the scientist in her keep the discovery of a lifetime secret from the world?

There is a bit of mystery in this story, with the disappearance of Septimus Miller, but there is lots of heat and action to keep the pace of the book moving along quite nicely. I like the history Ms. Pierce has created for her ancient race of Aquans, and the male/female dynamic reversal is unique here. I love that the women of the Aquan culture are the love them and leave them wanderers, and the men are the family nurturers.

Maura Ryan is a smart young woman, and excited to be invited to see her mentor’s new discovery. She is drawn to the five men who she believes work for Septimus, and I enjoyed watching as she slowly loses her civilized inhibitions and experiences island living and passion to its fullest. I also understood her suspicions as she wonders whether these five men may have done something to cause the absence of her mentor.

Daq, Janko, Ivar, Ejan and Tagin are five extremely hot and sexy male specimens, and they are each unique in their own way. They are also a pod, or group of men, seeking that one woman who can accept them and anchor their family unit. As Aquans, the men need a female to ground them, and they want Maura to be that woman. I loved watching as each found their own place in her heart, and slowly worked on her inhibitions to allow her to be more free.

There are a couple of surprises, too. Meeting the families of the men of the pod is delightful, and the mischief that Daq’s sister incites is great for a laugh or two. And this sister discovers something about her own needs from a mysterious stranger visiting the island as well.

When the truth about Septimus’ absence becomes known, Maura must make her decision: go home and forget what she knows about the Aquans, or stay and live the rest of her life surrounded by five hot men who will worship her and love her with all they have to give. On the way to this decision, there is lots of sexy action by five skilled men to try and convince her to stay.

This is one to read to warm these cooler autumn nights, with a cold drink close at hand.

Laura Niles left her past behind. She fled Washington, DC, with her career in ruins and her love life decimated. In her desperate flight, she found a home in Bliss, Colorado.

For five years, Rafe Kincaid and Cameron Briggs have searched for the only woman they’ve ever loved. The FBI agents couldn’t share her before, and it tore them apart. Now they have tracked her down, and they want answers. Why did she run? Why did she hide? Why are there so many naked people in Bliss?

Laura is shocked when her former loves show up in her new home. And when they bring the full force of the FBI with them, Laura knows Bliss is in for a rough ride, because a killer has been watching and waiting for a second chance. And so have Rafe and Cam.

Laura Niles, aka Laura Rosen, thought she had buried her past and any connection to the nightmare she survived over five years ago. When the two men who both showered her in love and broke her heart come looking for her she quickly realizes she must face a passion that never went away as well as the monster that tried to end her life!

Welcome to Bliss, CO. If you’re here as a tourist you might want to make a quick stop by The Trading Post on Main Street and pick up some Kevlar…after all they didn’t get featured in Time Magazine as possibly the most dangerous place to visit for nothing!

Is there such a genre in literature as “homicide light”? If there is, I’m pretty sure author Sophie Oak has the market cornered. Lost in Bliss is the 4th story in the Nights in Bliss series and without fail someone in each story is killed (not dies, KILLED). But it’s okay! They’re all bad people…or tourists. You’ll have to read one of the books to understand but this really is one of the most fun and action packed series I’ve ever read. Loyal fans would tell you that each book is more highly anticipated than the last.

The impression that I had of Laura Niles from the previous books was that she was an intelligent and independent woman with a lot of self-confidence and a love of sexy shoes. After reading Lost in Bliss those impressions were reinforced except for the level of self-confidence. Thanks to a betrayal of the most heart wrenching kind and then being kidnapped and tortured, Laura’s self-confidence took a major hit and it’s literally taken years to rebuild it to a sustainable level. The return of FBI agent Rafael Kincaid and his former partner Cameron Briggs will put her hard won confidence to the test. If that wasn’t enough to deal with, they inadvertently lead a serial killer right back to her doorstep.

Don’t get bogged down with the idea that this is a dark and bloody thriller. This is Bliss and the amazingly quirky groups of individuals that live there have no problem coming together when it means protecting one of their own. I loved seeing all the reoccurring characters that breathe life into this small mountain town. I’m not sure how many stories Ms. Oak has planned to write for Bliss but I can’t wait to read both Holly and Logan’s stories!

If you can’t literally get lost in Bliss, Colorado, do yourself a favor and get lost literarily. Even from the standpoint of a voyeur watching their lives from a distance you’ll feel welcomed and at home. Come along and get Lost in Bliss as soon as possible. You’ll never want to leave!

Alison Bennett came to Desire, Oklahoma to hide—and to heal.

When her truck breaks down on the way into town, she certainly doesn’t expect men like Dillon Tanner and Ryder Hayes to come to her rescue.

Extraordinary men in an extraordinary town.

Their interest in her both excites and alarms her, but she knows they’re both way out of her league.

When an attack on the club brings a halt to the seminar she’s signed up for, Dillon and Ryder’s proposition to continue her lessons intrigues her. Dillon’s gentleness tempts her to put herself in his hands while Ryder’s wildness and apparent dislike for her makes her uneasy.

Under their guidance, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, one that teaches her decadent pleasures and raw desire.

And love.

Knowing a ménage relationship could never work, she still finds herself tempted to stay.

But fate, and her ex-boyfriend, have other plans.

Alison breaks down on the road into Desire, OK with a painful past and an even more broken spirit. In Desire, she hopes for a haven in which to recoup, time to make a plan, and a chance to rebuild her self-esteem. She gets all that plus more than she bargains for when she catches the eye of garage owners and best friends, Dillon Tanner and Ryder Hayes.

Life in Desire is far from typical small town, USA. Thanks to a prequel to the current Desire series we know that the town was literally founded by two men and a woman who wanted a place to live together as a family, without scorn or prejudice. Those same founding father’s set the standard for accepting a new definition of traditional family with an old fashioned idea of protecting their own. In Desire, the men are strong but the women are their strength.

Dillon, Ryder and Alison are a prime example of how the right woman (or man) can change a person’s perspective and give them a reason to believe in happily ever afters. On the surface the story seems to be primarily about Alison needing help and healing. As the story progresses and we get more information about Ryder I think you’ll agree that he needed someone with Alison’s tenacious personality and quick temper as well as her acceptance of him to prove that true love isn’t something that just happens to other people.

As far as I know, Ms. Brooke never worked as a writer for the show 24. But she could have! This story moves at such a quick smooth pace you’re a little over a hundred pages in when you realize it’s still Alison’s first day in town and you’re nearly to the half way mark before the sex gets serious. Ms. Brooke builds tension and excitement into her relationships. If you’re looking for a quick SLAM BAM sex at first sight this isn’t the book for you. But if, instead, you enjoy the flirting glances, teasing touches and slow burn to ecstasy then this probably isn’t your first trip to Desire and even if it is it certainly won’t be your last!

There are still so many stories left to tell in Desire and I, along with an ever growing fan base, are waiting patiently (sometimes not so patiently) to read Beau and Charity’s story along with Hunter, Remington, Michael, Brandon, Lucas, Devlin, Caleb…and about a half a dozen or more. The mark of a brilliant series and a truly talented storyteller is when the characters speak to the readers almost as much as they speak to the author. Ms. Brooke is that talented of a writer and her unique stories and the fantastical town they live in come alive in the pages of this book as well as the six (including the prequel) that preceded it.

It’s not too late to jump on the band wagon to Desire. Once you get here, don’t be surprised when you find yourself wanting to put down roots.

Gwen has a cheating ex, a paranoid best friend, crazy overprotective and ultra-religious parents…and is a successful erotica writer. Forced to overcome her fear of flying to search for her sister in Rapid City, Gwen doesn’t expect to run into her internet buddy, Tim. Better yet, Tim’s boyfriend, Jack, is a police detective. They welcome Gwen and her older brother, Liam, to stay with them during their search.

Jack earned his “Stoneface” nickname after personal tragedy hardened his heart. He loves Tim, but Gwen stirs up painful memories that make Jack’s feelings for her suspect in his own mind. It doesn’t help that he falls in love with her.

Unfortunately, finding their sister leads to more problems. Shattered trust, broken hearts, and Liam coming out to their parents in a defiant showdown make Gwen question her priorities. Can she risk her heart again trying to break through Jack’s “Stoneface” façade?

Stoneface is a tale with characters that you fall in love with because of the emotions they invoke and the complexity of the story that is told. The storytelling is intense and gripping. Why can’t all love stories be this sexy yet sweet?

Gwen is a woman forged in strength. She is a very strong woman that has had to survive first the repressive hand of her parents, but then the cheating of her ex-husband. She has an amazing career and supportive siblings. Her strength is tested when she must go search for her missing sister, Amy. Gwen battles her crippling fear of flying to search for her sister in Rapid City, South Dakota. While in Rapid City Gwen meets lovers, Tim and Jack.

Tim has been a fan of Gwen’s for years and she has held a secret place for her in his heart. He is the owner of two bookstores, one in Laguna Beach, California and the other in Rapid City. They have shared an internet correspondence relationship that has blossomed into an amazing online friendship, though they have never met face to face. Gwen has no idea that Tim has relocated to Rapid City and is pleasantly shocked to find a friendly face when she needs one most.

Jack is known to his lover as Stoneface. He is a strong brooding man with a painful past and rarely shows his softer side. He is a detective in town and his first meeting with a feisty Gwen is a memorable one. There are several reasons Jack won’t initially help Gwen help find her sister, one of them being she reminds him of someone. Eager to have her business in town complete, Jack assists her with the task and the mystery behind the missing sister is revealed.

In the midst of the whole mystery of Amy, the three of them find that their attraction is too strong and they don’t waste any time showing it. But this is a case of too much too soon and after a painful confrontation they go their separate ways. Their time apart is riddled with pain and change.

The subplot of Amy’s disappearance truly weaves this story together. It compiles all the characters, to make an engaging and appealing story. Ms. Dalton wrote an enthralling tale that showcased her ability to write believable characters with emotions and depth. She captures your attention and you feel like you are a part of their journey and tribulations.

Stoneface is an exceptionally well written story. The love and pain these three characters share is so strong and touching, all you can do is open your heart to them. This is another Dalton tale that will forever be a part of my collection.

When Aimee gets lost during a hike, she finds more than refuge in a dark cave—she finds a chained and naked cowboy who claims to know who she is. Dillon and his partner, Kyle, are werewolves determined to become her mates. Just one problem—she shows up for her appointment with fate while wearing another man’s engagement ring.

The wolves will shamelessly pursue her, using every seductive trick in a cowboy’s book to rope their mate. But even the combined desire of two insatiably virile werewolves may not be enough when Aimee’s boss-slash-fiancé and Kyle’s pack mates show up to challenge Dillon and Kyle’s right to claim the woman they have dreamed of.

“With her luck, she’d wind up squatting over a butt-rash Betty or some such thing that she’d never heard of.” However, little does Aimee know that the butt-rash Betty is the least of her worries after being chased by a wolf and losing her backpack over a cliff then ending up in a cave with two Wolf men.

I could go for being the soft filling in a double meat sandwich like Aimee was with Kyle and Dillon. I did enjoy the fact that she was not an easy catch for the two men so they had to work at convincing her she was meant to be their mate. I loved the humor that both men had and their playful doglike personality throughout the story. I think I would enjoy having two men in my life like them and knowing that wolves mate for life would make it even more meaningful.

I had to laugh at her proposed fiancé and boss David, with his ring-around-the-desk as Ms. Rose called it. However, things get far out of whack with three men after her. Then there was her mother. She played a part in the internal conflict, starring in all the battles Aimee was fighting in her mind. The road to love for the three main characters was not an easy one and that’s what kept me from putting the book down until the wee hours of the morning. The author did a fantastic job in adding a whole new dimension to the legend of the age old werewolf plot.

The sex scenes where hot, from Aimee witnessing two men pleasuring each other in human and beast form, to being pulled into the middle of a three way loving. Even though the relationship moved fast throughout the story the plot was laid out in such a way that it was believable and romantic.

All around, Disowned Cowboys had a well laid out plot, good editing, and some really hot sex scenes; three things that make this story a keeper in my book. If you love hot ménages and werewolves you may want to add this one to your shopping list.

Tonight, Rain Calisto searches for her man, and Rhys Matthews comes into focus. He is well-built and sinisterly sexy. In the same Denver nightclub, Armand Anastasio searches for his woman—Rain. But the men are more than gorgeous. They are vampires, and they are unmated.

A chance encounter lands Rhys and Rain together. Their attraction remains undeniably powerful and they fall prey to lust. With each passionate tryst, Rhys senses a connection that goes beyond the flesh. Unbeknownst to Rhys, Rain is a diabetic. Her insulin alters her biological makeup, disguising a revelation he isn’t quite prepared for.

Rain is Rhys’s fated mate.

As they struggle with this knowledge, another bombshell is dropped. Rain’s insulin-laced tissue creates a rare vampiric blood that can fetch a hefty profit, and Armand has always known this. Is his attraction to Rain genuine, or is he just out for her blood?

This is the diary of Rain and Rhys. Recorded here is their transformation from a flesh fantasy to eternal love.

This was one of the most refreshing stories I have read in a long time and was an amazing start to a what looks to be a spectacular series!

Stumbling upon your mate is tricky business, especially if the link is via blood. Rhys is unexplainably drawn to Rain, but they show no signs of being mates — not that he is looking. He is a good time vampire and has no inclination to settle down. As their relationship is labeled a “utilitarian friendship”, things were never meant to go beyond sex. The problem with this scenario though is that they have mind blowing sex.

Rain Calisto is the perfect heroine. She is thirty-seven, independent, and professional. She is in touch what she wants and needs and has no qualms about getting it. She has determined that the perfect man will be hard to find, but along the way she will have fun kissing a few frogs. Hey, a girl has needs too. Rain and her girlfriends have even developed a fun game to find said frogs: The Junk Trunk. You are going to have to read the book to find out how this game is played.

Rhys Matthews is intense and delicious from the start. Dark, mysterious and dressed all in black, he is a perfect contestant in The Junk Trunk game. His eyes draw Rain in, but with the crook of his finger, Rhys has Rain running to him, changing the whole game.

These are some wild and wonderful vampires. With new abilities and unique characteristics, the were a breath of fresh air. This is a different take on the vampire lore that is enticing and new. Ms. DeLeina has a knack of writing awesome sex scenes. Boy, did she get me all hot and bothered. I will never look at food and spider webs the same way again. I know that sounded a bit creepy, but trust me once you read the scene, you will wonder where you can get one of those!

I absolutely loved Ms. DeLeina’s new universe. I finished reading, craving more. My mind reeled and my body yearned for the tantalizing pleasures in Flesh Fantasy. My only negative comment about the story is that there wasn’t another book…yet. Read Flesh Fantasy and be transported into a fantasy world of erotic sex, deceiving plots and laugh out loud humor. This book does not disappoint!

The Gathering is called. The spell is cast. There is no escaping the Midnight Matings.

When Ifan Vashnikov is summoned to the Great Gathering and learns of the plan set up by UPAC, he decides he’d rather go feral than be forced to take a mate. Before he can voice his decision to the elders, he finds himself mated.

But his mating is not the usual mating. For one, he didn’t drink the spiked champagne like everyone else, so he isn’t in heat. Two, his mate is being protected for his own safety. Misha is a dreamwalker, the most powerful dreamwalker in over a thousand years. Because of that, he is being hunted. People want to use his powers for evil.

Misha just wants to settle down somewhere quiet with his dream mate. When he’s rescued and taken to the UPAC headquarters, he finally meets the man he has been sharing dreams with for over a year—the man he fell in love with—but Ifan doesn’t seem to know him. When danger comes, Misha doesn’t know whether to turn to Ifan or run for his life.

Love has a strange way of finding us when we are not looking for it. Ifan and Misha’s story is no exception.

Misha had spent his whole life being used and abused. He is one of those characters you cannot wait to see get a happily ever after because they are just so deserving. His only salvation through of the torment was dreams of his mate. I cannot say I would have the same outlook on life he did. Even though he had every right to have a chip on his shoulder, he still managed to try to see the good in the world. It would have been completely understandable if he never trusted anyone again, yet he not only trusts Ifan, he finds it in his heart to trust a few other folks as well.

Ifan is my kind of man. Ever the recluse, he thought he had everything he needed in the world, until he met Misha. Being a very private homebody myself, I could completely understand Ifan’s reluctance to take a mate. While I understand his need to be on his own, I would not mind being stuck with him for a few days or weeks in a cabin because he is one attractive kitty. Even if his looks did not attract me, his solitary alpha personality would certainly do the trick.

The conflict really helped move the story forward. It completely enthralled me from beginning to end and left me wanting more. As usual with Stormy Glenn books, I found myself up way past my bedtime saying to myself “just one more chapter”, then picked up the story as soon as I woke up in the morning. It was over way too soon and I cannot wait for the next installment of the Midnight Mating Series.

Fast gun Luke Scott finds himself on the run from the law. He hides out in the small Colorado town where his twin brother, Jack, is the doctor. When Sarah Foster unexpectedly pays a midnight visit while Jack is out on a house call, Luke has no choice but to pretend to be his brother…a pretense he keeps up even as he woos the hot beauty.

Sarah has secrets of her own, though, including that this respectable miss is really a madam…the behind-the-scenes madam of the local whorehouse. When Luke and Sarah become lovers, Jack gets caught in the middle when Sarah mistakes him during the day for his brother.

Add one corrupt posse, one anxious father-to-be, and one twin brother caught in a lovers’ triangle, and the path to true love for Luke and Sarah is anything but easy.

Can one outlaw and one madam drop their disguises long enough to fall in love?

This book started with a bang… literally! Someone was attacking a character named Luke and there was some talking and a gun shot. I admit I was a bit confused until the author clearly explained what had occurred during the prologue.

What really got me hooked on this book was Luke. Much like the heroine, Sarah, I didn’t know how my adoration of him happened, but it did. There is just something in the way he’s depicted that makes him very desirable. Besides, the more I read about him and the way he started having feelings for Sarah the more I fell for him too.

The sex was hot, intense and very well described. I particularly loved their little role-playing moments. The tender moments were there too and were extremely sweet. Who knew an outlaw could have such a kind heart?

My only disappointment was not getting to know a little more about Luke’s brother, Jack. Perhaps in another story? Nonetheless, The Outlaw Takes a Madam, is both a tender and hot read that will leave you smiling.

Army veteran and midwife Autumn Ryan’s spirit is shattered. She just wants to find a cave to hide in. Instead, her father sends her to Sanctuary, where everyone is expectantly waiting for Spring to give birth to the next generation of Sullivan shape-shifting Irish Wolfhounds. As soon as she meets them, Autumn is drawn to Evan and Frank. For the first time in her life, she feels a contentment and peace she’s searched the world over for.

Frank and Evan envied their brothers but discounted the possibility that the last Ryan sibling would be their mate. Then Autumn walks into their furniture-making shop, and all they can think about is claiming their mate. But Autumn has painful secrets haunting her.

Can they heal their woman and find the kind of happiness their brothers have found? Will she stay long enough to help Spring have her babies? Or will she cut and run?

Autumn Healing sees the final twins mated. The Sanctuary series consists of four books and brings together a family of shifters with four sets of twins and a family of the four seasons. The twins are Irish wolfhound shifters who meet siblings Spring, Summer, and Autumn and their brother Winter. Each finds their significant other in the twin shifters who are destined to find a single mate between the two of them.

The book was well edited, plot line was solid and it flowed well if a little too quickly. The main female protagonist, Autumn, is suffering from a trauma caused during her tour in the Army. It has made her afraid of men. Her shifter mates are the perfect ones to help heal the damage but unfortunately, the story moved a little too quickly. She goes from afraid of men and wary of them right into a committed relationship in less than 24 hrs. While consistent with the rest of the series, with falling instantly in love and feeling the instant pull of destined mates, the story would have been a better read if the story had gone a little slower.

The twins however, were wonderful in the caring, compassion and empathy they showed their mate. This helped to create an engaging story. Overall, however, it’s a good book and a decent read. More, the entire series is recommended.
