Sleeping with her boss can only lead to trouble. And pleasure.

“The McLaughlins, Book 4”

Delonna comes by her Scottish-style frugality honestly-her parents’ spendthrift ways once left her temporarily homeless. She’s been tending bar at McLaughlin’s Pub, looking forward to the day she can call her own shots. Until her now ex-boyfriend makes off with her hard-earned savings. Now she’s got a bookie breathing threats down her neck in an apparent attempt to squeeze blood from a turnip.

Contrary to what people cipla india viagra unica-web.com think, most men visit sex workers after they start living with their girlfriend or wife. tadalafil canadian Being a complicated process, it is not possible to determine any particular or exact cause. Aleck McLaughlin has three good reasons to keep his hands off the delectable Delonna. One, he’s her boss. Two, she’s a good ten years younger. Three, he’s sworn to never again leave his heart vulnerable.

Her predicament sends all those reasons out the window, and Aleck moves her in with him for protection, then whisks her away on a whirlwind trip from Whidbey Island to Scotland.

The romance of being in Edinburgh only increases their need for one another. But it quickly becomes clear they’re facing a past that’s just as painful as the present is dangerous…

Warning: A sexy, broody, pub owner determined to seduce his flirty, bombshell bartender. Not-so-hidden dangers, travels to Scotland, and maybe a little spanky panky.

Shelli Stevens takes it up a notch for the fourth and final book in her outstanding McLaughlins Series. I loved this one!

A spark becomes a flame in this fast paced story. Aleck and Delonna both had reasons for fighting their attraction to each other for so long. They have deep scars. Aleck has loved and lost in the past. He wants to avoid the inevitable pain of losing another love so he only goes for meaningless hookups. Delonna is a hard worker who has learned the value of frugality. Understandably, she is afraid that indulging in a romantic fling with her boss might lead to losing her security blanket. Then her scum bag boyfriend takes her for a ride and Aleck steps up to keep her safe. Together they will find out if a real relationship is worth the risk of losing it all.

This book had everything to pull me into the story. It was fast paced and ran the gamut of emotions. It pulled me in and turned everything topsy turvy. Needless to say, I found Aleck to be a great alpha male, it was so easy to love him. The Scottish accent alone had me crazy in love with him, but also how protective he was of Delonna. He made me plenty mad a few times though. I also cried a few tears since Stevens put a great story behind the pain that he kept dishing out to Delonna. Now there was a lot to love about Delonna. This girl was fearless ! She’s in a dangerous situation, and still she puts it all out there and takes a chance on love. Aw, my heart was breaking for her at one point.

This book was very well written. All in all, it was a satisfying ending to a great series that I have enjoyed tremendously from beginning to end. I would recommend this book, and the series, to anyone looking for a good read.

Sometimes you have to lose everything to make room for what really matters.

Ten years ago, Cooper Holbrook was a player when it came to women, and he knew it. Well enough that he took one look at the hero worship in Hannah Anderson’s eyes, and nipped it in the bud. She was no buckle bunny, and he wasn’t the man for her or her young son.

The years have caught up with the former champion bull rider. At forty, he’s got nothing left but a broken-down ranch to go with the friendless, near penniless, broken man he’s become.

So to avail the correct dosage doctor advice can be taken and proper prescription can be produced viagra 25 mg amerikabulteni.com before buying the drug. Now she’s finally going to do something about her feelings. Cooper might think his life is over, but Hannah sees more for him—for them, together. And she’s not giving up until he sees it too.

Warning: Contains a decade’s worth of pent-up sexual tension charging out of the chute!

Champion is one red hot cowboy romance!

This was a great love story that pulled me in right away. It had a great plot and compelling characters that reached out to me. Cooper and Hannah were a more mature couple who had been around the block and had plenty of scars to prove it. Their story was perfectly layered with a seamless segue from past to present. They connected ten years ago but Cooper pushed Hannah away thinking that he was no good for her. Now it’s ten years later and he is more than a little broken. That’s when Hannah finally gets her chance at the cowboy she never got over.

This story was less intense than the usual Cat Johnson romance. It’s what I’d call slow and easy. This is a powerful story about a man who hits rock bottom and a stubborn woman who won’t give up on him. Cooper knows how bad he messed up, and he worked hard to make things right and to be worthy of Hannah’s love. It didn’t come easy. Johnson did a good job in showing that, so I’d say everything was well developed. There was some conflict here and there, some drama going on that somehow made the story more interesting to me.

Despite how Hannah had to take that first step in the relationship, I think Cooper was more than happy to let her in the door but he realized that he needed to take responsibility for his mistakes. He did and it made him a more worthy hero in my book.

Now, for the juicy part which is the love scenes. Yes, they were sexy and hot, but they did not dominate the story at all. Instead I felt they were touching and more believable. I found that the earlier scenes with the buckle bunnies were a bit off for me, but that’s mostly because I was impatiently waiting for Cooper to get with Hannah. It was all a part of the story though, another reason why he was afraid to reach for the woman he truly wanted.

All in all, this was a great book. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It’s one that I’d recommend to my friends and reading pals, and I’m looking forward to the next Studs in Spurs book.

Behind Robert’s cheerfully eccentric exterior lies a young heart battered and bruised by his past. He’s taken a job teaching in a village primary school to make a fresh start, and love isn’t part of his plans. But he’s knocked for six—literally—by a chance encounter with the uncle of two of his pupils.

Sean works in pest control, rides a motorbike, and lives on a council estate. On the face of it, he shouldn’t have anything in common with Robert’s bow-tie, classic-car style and posh family background. Yet Robert is helpless to resist Sean’s roguish grin, and a rocky, excruciatingly embarrassing start doesn’t keep the sparks between them from flaring.

Despite Robert’s increasingly ludicrous attempts to keep his past where it belongs, his past hasn’t read the memo. And soon his secrets could be the very things that drive Sean away for good…

It’s hard to find a man that appreciates a good bow tie. Robert left his sordid past behind and tried to make a new start as a primary school teacher in a smaller village. He’s decidedly done with love and all its failings, or so he thinks. Sean is the uncle of two of Robert’s students and seems to be everything Robert can’t resist. He’s warm, generous, caring, and has a thing for men in bow ties. Despite Robert’s hesitations he can’t help being drawn to the other man but just when things seem to be going well, Robert’s past decides to make an appearance. Now if only Robert can figure out a way to explain or hide his past from Sean.

Caught! is the first book in a new series by JL Merrow. The author is often known for light comedic romance set in the UK and this definitely fits that description. Her writing is so clean and effortless to read that the pages always fly by much faster than I even realize. Humorous and delightfully quirky characters fill the pages creating an engaging and entertaining story from the start. Robert as the first person narrator is eccentric in the best possible way. He has an upper crust bearing and background, despite his turn at humbleness in the middle of his upbringing, but he fits well with down to earth pest control technician Sean. There is some minor attempt at tension between the two being from obviously different worlds but Sean is good hearted and easy going while Robert is a bit fussy and particular but they easily fit well together.

The story doesn’t offer much plot beyond Robert’s day-to-day activities as he lives his life and attempts to foster a relationship with Sean but for me that was the charm of the story. I loved reading about Robert’s 2E class and the adorable children portrayed. Robert’s family and friends are all interesting characters that sometimes steal the scenes they’re in. I especially loved Robert’s rather cliché female best friend that offered sage advice, but she was more genuine and honest than typical females the genre produces. The very British landscape of the village was homey and lent an easy cadence and tone to the writing. There’s not a lot of action or tension but I personally loved that about the book. I didn’t want or need more than well-developed characters, obvious chemistry, good writing, and a quickly moving story. It’s the type of story you curl up with on a chilly day and enjoy.

I clearly loved Caught! so I easily and eagerly recommend it. It won’t be for everyone though, as not all readers enjoy gentle romance with very little erotic sex. Also due to the lack of any real tension, the main couple gets together with relative ease and only minor miscommunications come up, I think this will appeal to readers that like that kind of ease within relationships. There is no instant love or overwrought devotion immediately but simply two men well suited that start a relationship. There are some bumps but overall it’s an easy outing with lots of humor. Exactly what I wanted.

Hot Rods, Book 5

After watching his mother crumble in the face of heartbreak, Holden believes monogamy is bull. New week, new woman, that’s just how he rolls. Too bad one taste of Sabra Harp leaves him salivating for more.

Sabra was ready for the climb from local news reporter to national anchor—before her pursuit of a story almost destroyed the Hot Rods, whose friendship she has admired from afar. Too bad they all hate her guts. That’s okay, she despises what she’s become too…enough that she’s just told her boss where to stick it.

When Holden drives a drunken Sabra home and puts her to bed, her blatant invitation almost has him following her between the sheets. She’s willing to let him take charge in bed, friends included—and he’s willing to listen to her amazing business proposition, which could rocket the Hot Rods to stardom.

Yet as his friends have paired off, Holden realizes that to participate in their polyamorous games without becoming a third wheel, he needs Sabra. And she needs him…oh, how she needs him.

Swinger Style is the latest in Jayne Rylon’s Hot Rods series, and once again it is a hot and sexy ride with these guys and gals in the garage. This world never fails to intrigue me, and I love the way Ms. Rylon makes her ‘family of the heart’ so real and compelling. Each character brings something unique to the mix, and each new addition to the ‘family’ adds to the fun and the heat. I like this world, a place where folks can be themselves, and judgment is noticeably absent.

Holden is a free spirit, never staying with one woman long. Until he meets Sabra Harp, and then he is torn, wanting her, but angry at the problems she created for the Hot Rods. Sabra is ashamed of what happened as well, and determined to make it up to the tight knit group of mechanics, and just maybe, she can also make it up to Holden, a man who intrigues her in a way no one ever has. When she brings a proposal to the Hot Rods that could change their future, is a good way, at first Holden is the lone stand out in the Hot Rods, but he can’t seem to fight the feelings he has for Sabra. When he learns that she left her job as news reporter because of her belief that those higher up at her station might have been behind the ‘leak’, he reluctantly listens to her plans for the team. He also discovers how much he really likes her, and is delighted when the feeling is mutual. Now, if he can just learn whether she will fit into the polyamorous lifestyle of the Hot Rods, or is interested in moving forward toward a relationship with him. Can Holden overcome his lifelong fear of closeness to make a life with Sabra and the Hot Rods? Is Sabra ready to embrace the wild and loving Hot Rods lifestyle, with all that it promises? Can this group find a way to outwit the station bosses and help Sabra put her show on the air for all to see?

Sabra Hart is a strong and determined woman, and when she realizes the damage that her story inadvertently caused, she wants to make things right with those she harmed. When she realizes that those in charge at the station went against the guidelines, she quit rather than condone what they did. I like her strength of character, and she has an adventurous side that is willing to accept new challenges. Especially if those challenges include spending time with Holden. She felt the connection, and hopes he will accept the apology she offers for what happened.

Holden grew up in the center that Eli’s dad and mom started, part of the Hot Rod family of troubled and abandoned children. He has always felt like part of the group, but as each of the Hot Rods found that special person, he thinks he doesn’t fit the same anymore, and hates that he has become more of an observer than a participant. When he realizes Sabra is more than just a quick fling, he slowly brings her into their world, hoping for the best. I liked watching Holden show his romantic side with her, and his ability to let go of his past to face a future filled with possibilities.

Sabra and Holden have fantastic chemistry, and the progression of their relationship is fast and furious. Sabra, with her background in yoga, brings a whole new definition to going with the flow. I enjoyed the highs and the lows in this one, and liked that the ‘big boss’ at the station was not able to keep the project down in spite of his efforts. There is a brief visit with the Crew from the Powertools series, and it was great catching up with them as well. There are some tearful moments, some giggle producing ones and there is a very suspenseful cliff hanger of an ending to this one. If you like your passion off the charts, with lots of bodies in lots of combinations, this is right up your alley. But bring ice and tissues, both will be needed.

One of the most important things I look for in good horror is smart writing. This wasn’t the first thing I’ve read from this author, but it is my favorite book from him so far. What I like the most about his writing style is how much effort he puts into developing his ideas. I get the impression that Mr. Faherty spends a great deal of time working behind the scenes to wring out every last drop of horror from his premise before he releases his newest creation into the world.

I was able to figure out the ending fairly early on in the plot. There were a few too many clues about what was happening to Alec and the other characters, and some of them were shared too soon. Had I needed more time to put all of the pieces together, this tale would have easily earned a much higher rating.

Take my advice and don’t read this right before bedtime. This is one of the creepiest things I’ve read in a long time. Normally I’m less frightened once I figure out what’s happen in a horror story, so it was deliciously unnerving to have the opposite experience. Trying to sleep a few hours after I finished it was an exercise in futility.

Fatal Consequences is a great choice for anyone who loves the scary side of fiction.

Warning: Watch out for falling lumber, falling in holes, and falling for the wrong guy again. You can leave your hard hat on.

Texas Twist is the fourth book in the Montgomery Mavericks Series. It is a wonderful story full of emotions, heartache and passion. To put it simply, Texas Twist is another fabulous job by Cynthia D’Alba.

It’s finally time for the youngest Montgomery brother to get his happy ending. Cash is a cocky, self assured, two time championship bull rider. He thought he had everything until that one bad ride when he almost lost his life. Now, he’s feeling the damage and drowning his sorrows in whiskey. But then fate steps in with a second chance when a woman from his past shows up and helps him get back in the saddle. So to speak ….

Paige Ryan fell for Cash when she was just a teenager. She gave him her heart and her virginity only to watch him walk away afterward. He broke her heart and she’s determined to not repeat the mistake again. But, who could resist a sexy, smooth talking cowboy ?

This book really tugged at my heart. Cash was such a great character as he struggled to find himself. He’d really lost the one thing that made him who he was and now he had to look deep inside. This book had so many emotional scenes that it’s hard for me to picka favorite one. There was this one part where Cash was feeling like an outsider in the family, there were a couple where he started to realize that he had a drinking problem, and then again when he was so panic stricken at something that happened near the end and he realized that his brothers only wanted to help him. See? It had too many great scenes to choose from. Paige was absolutely the best woman to help our lost cowboy. She’s strong and has had to cope with her own loss over the years. She’s such a calming influence on the troubled Cash without even meaning to at first. Then there was the sexual chemistry that was there, and a truth that she found her way into his heart a long time ago.

The book had a great plot. The broken cowboy part really did it for me, you know. It was impossible not to instantly connect with him. I liked the characters and romance and especially the hot love scenes. I especially liked that all the Montgomerys came together in this one. As usual, the writing was excellent with a smooth flow that made it easy to read. It also had a couple of twists here and there, a bit of edgy drama, and a couple of secrets that were revealed. Aside from the romance, this one is all about family and Cash finding his true self worth. It’s about healing from a broken heart and a battered spirit. Most of all, it’s a really wonderful story.

I loved this one. It really stood out for me in every way. Finally, let me just say that while I’ve truly enjoyed them all, Texas Twist will remain my favorite.

With a pack war in full, deadly swing, the last thing Armand LaForge needs right now is a woman in his life, much less a human. But one thing is certain, he’s met his mate, the one woman in the world for him.

The kindest thing to do is give her all the hot sex she wants and then leave her alone. But when the morning comes, fate isn’t done screwing with them. Anny is confronted with the fact that the myths in her library books are real…and now she’s one of them.

Warning: A night out at a club can lead to a loss of inhibitions and hot sex with a werewolf. Your life will never be the same. You’ve been warned.

Wolf in Her Bed is N. J. Walters’ next book in the Salvation pack series, set in the world so well established in the first book. This is a dangerous world, with strong and honorable heroes, and equally strong women who learn to accept that which they cannot change, and make changes where they can. The romance is just this side of scorching, and the passion rises from the page to draw the reader in to the story.

Armand LaForge is on edge after the attacks on the pack in Salvation, attacks by their old pack back in Louisiana. The only good thing to have come out of this war so far is that their alpha, Jacque LaForge, found his mate, even if Jacque’s evil father nearly killed her when he attacked.

Armand needs to find a way to relax, and decides one beer at the local roadhouse might help. Anny Conrad has gone for a birthday drink with her friend Sue, and watches as her friend dances and has a fun evening. Anny is a quiet woman, but Armand notices her in the crowded room, wondering why she looks a bit sad among all the people. When he asks her to dance, his wolf recognizes her as his mate, and Armand knows he has to walk away, rather than draw Anny into the pack wars they are fighting. Unfortunately, the pack is being watched, and as careful as Armand is, his father still gets news of his one night with Anny, and comes to teach his wayward son a lesson, almost killing Anny. Can Anny accept what she has become, and build a new life that could include Armand? Can the Salvation pack keep her safe, and stop Remy LaForge from doing any more damage? Can two scarred and lonely hearts heal each other, for a happy ever after, in spite of the danger ahead?

Anny Conrad is a quiet and sensitive woman, happy to enjoy simple things. She has a core of inner strength, however, and I like how she decides to, just once, grab what life offers her in Armand. I like that she is willing to experience all that he has to offer, even if it is only for one night. I liked that she had the courage to try and fight off Remy, and when she was dying, she had the strength to accept her wolf, and live.

Armand LaForge, cousin to the Alpha of Salvation Pack, is strong, but scarred, both inside and out. He knows, deep inside, he has to let Anny go to keep her safe, but he has one moment of weakness, one night in her arms before he says goodbye. I like Armand with his sense of honor and strength of character, and his willingness to turn away from his mate rather than see her hurt, or worse. I also like his determination to protect Anny after he learns of her attack. I liked watching as he slowly worked past her defenses, making a place in her heart and her life.

There is a lot of passion and romance here, and five deliciously hot werewolves to delight. There is also danger at every turn, from the spies from the Louisiana pack, and later from Armand’s father Remy. I enjoyed the fast pace of this one, it made me cry, sigh and there were some giggles in there as well. If hot and strong heroes, sassy and independent women and lots of searing romance are what you enjoy, this is well worth the reading. I recommend that these two books be read in order for the most enjoyment, but there is enough background to make this one stand alone.

The rules of the game are simple: the man pursues until the woman catches.

Love and Friendship, Book 3

Think finding the perfect lover is difficult? Ask Susan Webb—she knows it is. Lonely, tired of dull routine and dud men who only think with their lower brains, she takes a calculated risk to shake up her lackluster life.

Now she’s set to take part in a reality dating show. Her objective: to find a good, honest man who’s up for enjoying lots of sexy fun on the road to love. Failure is not an option.

Susan might be in his brother’s age group, but Tyler’s not about to let Nolan waltz off with the first woman to snare his attention in ages.

As the show’s ratings go through the roof, Susan finds herself falling for the wrong man—and her simple plan for happiness on the brink of falling apart.

Ms. Munro did the unexpected. I assumed I knew who the story was going to be about but I was wrong. I’m still amazed at the book’s turn but it’s perfect in so many ways.

The premise uses a popular television format to showcase the development of the plot conflict. Reality T.V. shows seem to be all the rage these days and it comes as no surprise that they’d be used to introduce men and women to each other. But what if the person introduced isn’t the one getting the girl or guy but someone in the background? How would that come about? And how would that affect the show?

Good questions, all. I was perfectly ready to accept Nolan as the hero of the story. He seemed ideal – a smug man who enjoyed naughty teasing but who needed to be taken down a peg. That’s my initial impression. What I got was a whole other man with a lot of unexpected baggage that was none of his doing. His problem was that he didn’t fight it hard enough. But, after a certain revelation, he stepped up to the plate in one arena, and in another I believe the author set the hook for her next book. And if so, I’ll read it, if only to see a certain someone get the stick out of her bum. Man, what a witch!

The bridge between the two men is Susan, the heroine. She is looking for love in the right wrong place. Or is it the wrong right place? Honest, that makes a lot more sense after reading the book. Susan is a pleasant surprise. She stands up for herself, even when it hurts. And yes, there is a good solid internal conflict to deal with and it works.

The second man is Tyler. My first impression of him was a scrawny shadow of Nolan. I was happily wrong on that count too. He turns out to be a man who knows his own mind, has learned from his mistakes and is willing to do the right thing for the love of his life even though it causes him pain. His strength of character is impressive. For readers who enjoy the steamier side of romance with the bedroom door flung open wide and the roof ripped off so you get a full view, Farmer Wants a Wife provides further proof that Tyler knows how to make a woman moan, sigh and blast off to the stars, even over the phone.

The scene with Mr. Blue caused quite a bit of mirth. I never knew about the history so Susan’s dialogue at that juncture was delightfully full of spit and vinegar. I enjoyed it when she removed her inner filter and let things fly.

External conflict, being videotaped notwithstanding, comes from another female. She was such a prune and I don’t care how a child came to be in this world, no one should take it out on an innocent kid. So as far as I’m concerned, she’s the villain of the piece.

The relationship between Tyler and Susan was pleasant to watch grow as they navigate falling in love while trying to avoid being caught on camera. The resolving of a few road blocks to complete the happy ever after came across as too perfect, too easy and too fairy tale ending-ish. Even saying that doesn’t detract from the beauty and fun that is at the heart of this novel; it’s still a fun book.

Farmer Wants a Wife is an entertaining, sexy romance and an easy read. This might be the third book in the series but it’s a solid standalone. I say this with assurance because I have not read books one and two. There is no shortage of fun, great dialogue and interesting encounters in this tale. If a reader is tired of books with heavy and dark drama, this novel is a real pick-me-up and is totally delightful. Ms. Munro always delivers great romance.

With her attacker harassing her from his jail cell, she packs up her life in Chicago, follows her Delta Force brother to North Carolina and gets work in a pub.

Men in uniform are definitely off her menu, but her boss’s friend, Army Ranger Callum Eversman, is one hot hunk she’d like to sample.

Home on a two-week furlough, Cal has agreed to watch over Molly as a favor to fellow Ranger Noah Harper. Accomplishing his mission without her noticing? That’s going to be tough, as any idiot can see their sparks of attraction from a mile away.

Despite her hands-off-military-men policy, Molly is tempted to indulge, just this once, in a no-strings-attached fling. No dating, no kissy face, no hearts involved. But when her past threatens her future, there’s only one man to turn to. The one who’ll risk everything—body, heart, and soul—to protect her.

Molly Ryan has been stuck in the pub’s office doing the bookwork for six hours on a Sunday. It’s two in the afternoon and she’s just cracked open a well-deserved beer. Although she’s taken on some extra duties while co-workers were away on a honeymoon, Molly is up for the challenge. She wasn’t, however, expecting the sexy stranger to drop in on her – otherwise she’d have worn her sexy pajamas for the day of surreptitious work and not her common regular ones. Cal’s flight had been delayed, but he was staying around to watch over Molly and living in the apartment over the pub for a while. He hadn’t, however, expected his attraction to the sexy woman to be so instantaneous, or strong, especially when there was trouble lurking around Molly and Cal’s job was to protect her, not hunger for her gorgeous body.

An interesting plot woven skillfully around a bucket-load of sexual tension had me turning the pages of this book like a woman possessed. With a strong cast of secondary characters – and clearly links and hints for past and future books in the series – this seemed to me to be a well fleshed-out town and a solidly written addition. Cal was an interesting character, one I found myself wanting to know more about even as I admired him from the start. Molly is a kick ass, take-no-prisoners type of woman, and one who has dealt with problems and backs down for no one. I felt the story got a little over-populated by the number of secondary characters – but this was somewhat balanced by the fact they each fed into the various twists in the plot. No one was “filler”, though it did get a bit jumbled for me at times. There’s plenty going on though, from Molly’s shadowy stalker to goons doing reconnaissance and Cal’s twin sister’s ex-boyfriend problems. I loved how so much was going on, but felt some of these sub-plots were a bit rushed and could have been given more time to really enrich the story.

This is the first book in the series I’ve read, and while it stands well alone, there was clearly a connection between Molly, Chris and Noah – the brothers who own the pub she works for – and it took me a short while to catch up on the already fleshed-out relationship there. This didn’t detract from my enjoyment, but is something to keep in mind if readers really prefer to read their series in order. I also loved the chemistry between Molly and Cal. Their connection was present from the start, but circumstances keep them just skimming the surface for quite a way through the story. There are a few sex scenes (one of them oral sex). I found them tastefully written but mildly explicit. Readers who like the bedroom door closed might want to consider this before reading.

I found this to be a wonderful book, full of interesting characters (and plenty of hooks for future books) and an energetic plot that kept me interested. Saucy enough to keep spicy romance readers involved, but not erotic enough to make you blush, this struck a good balance for me. An author and series I’ll keep an eye out for more of. Recommended.

“Grand Passion or epic disaster? ”

Lord Nevinstoke revels in acting the young wastrel, until his father is killed in a drunken duel. Never one to do anything halfway, Nev throws off his wild ways to shoulder a mountain of responsibility and debt vowing to marry a rich girl and act the respectable lord of the manor.

Manufacturing heiress Penelope Brown seems the perfect choice for a wife. She s pretty, proper, and looking for a husband.

Determined to rise above her common birth, Penelope prides herself on her impeccable behavior and good sense. Grand Passion? Vulgar and melodramatic. Yes, agreeing to marry Nev was a rare moment of impulse, yet she s sure they can build a good marriage based on companionship and mutual esteem.

But when they arrive at the manor, they re overwhelmed with half-starved tenants, a menacing neighbor, and the family propensity for scandal. As the situation deteriorates, the newlyweds have nowhere to turn but to each other. To Penelope s surprise, she begins to fervently hope that her first taste of Grand Passion in her husband s arms won t be her last.

Love was not part of their marriage bargain. Penelope (Penny) and Nathaniel Arthur Delaval Ambrey, Lord Bedlow (Nev) are in agreement. He has her money to save his family from ruin. She has her marriage built on reason, compromise, and mutual esteem, plus she married “up” as her parents had hoped she would, but had not insisted on it. Most of all, they want her to be happy.
So, if you are stressed or want to get relief from swelling and therefore pain and discomfort. online levitra tablet cheap levitra uk Generic Tadalafil is considered one of the most popular and effective impotence drug trusted by millions of people across the world were involved in two studies of two medications to treat heart disease; the researchers found that adding a 4th portion of the flavonoid rich food and drink helps to reduce the damage done follow some simple guidelines. Being a sexologist for the lowest price viagra last six years and also from hazardous impacts to obtain. discount viagra levitra It is used in the treatment of enlarged prostate combined with saw palmetto or kapikacchu.
Nev and Penny, like Nev predicted, find that they “rub along tolerably” together. Plus, they find passion, something neither of them predicted. They are like two kids with a new toy. They stand fast against adversity together, yet in the midst of all the strife, they find a special joy in their passion for each other. It makes their story sparkle in a unique way.

Penny is a strong heroine. She is fully aware the titled in-laws and their acquaintances hate her, but they enjoy the benefits her money brings. She also knows the poor, mistreated workers hate her because of what she has and who she is aligned with. Yet, she perseveres. She is smart, good with business and budgets. She’s truly appalled when she sees how Nev’s estate steward keeps books.

Besides knowing money and how to manage it, she has compassion and a forgiving nature. Best of all, she finds joy in the love she never expected to be hers. This creates lots of ‘feel-good’ reading.

Nev, on the other hand, has been a wastrel all his life until his father dies. He has no money sense or management skills. He is a unique man in that he admits this failing and is delighted for his lovely, responsive wife to help with estate business and every aspect of trying to put his holding back on a solid footing. He has that ‘Lordly’ air that saves the day at a very crucial time. He uses every skill he knows to control the people who are ready to riot. Yet, he too has compassion for them. He sees how they have suffered under unjust treatment of his father and his peers.

Nev longs for his old carefree life and companions but sticks to his resolve to put all that kind of living behind and to be a responsible Lord of the realm. Moreover, he abides by the list of rules Penny made before they married. Good gracious, she did hit the nail on the head with that list and Nev knows it.

The antagonists are indeed despicable. The avaricious, controlling, conniving Sir Jasper is cruel to the extreme with seemingly no compassion. He is a user and abuser. His toady Parson Snively is his willing partner in abasing the poor workers. He, to me, is worse than Sir Jasper, in that he is willing to use his power as a spiritual leader to crush the poor, disenfranchised workers.

I thoroughly enjoyed In For a Penny because the author wove in the awaking of an amazing, sizzling love between Penny and Nev while surrounding the reader with the social conditions and the disparity in the quality of life for people of peerage and the laboring people.

The climax is a breath-holding, page-turning read. I stayed up past late to be sure Penny and Nev got their happily-ever-after, that the bad guys got their comeuppance, and the down trodden got some relief and hope for the future.

Excellent love story!
