God, Please Help me, I can’t live another year like this…

Dillon McDonald is a broken man, both in body and in spirit. His sadistic partner, Alfonse, had successfully broken him long ago. But this New Year’s Eve, a strange new feeling takes hold of the young man. Is it hope?

Breaking free of the hell he’d found himself in is only the beginning for this handsome, troubled young man though. When charming young softball coach, Jon Michaels shows interest in Dillon, he realizes that the stakes are much higher than he’s ever imagined. Jon is kind, handsome, and spiritually grounded. Dillon’s can’t help but believe that Jon may just be the answer to the prayer he’d assumed went unheard.

Will Dillon be able to begin a new life with Jon, or will Alfonse be the end of them both?

Love can conquer all, but what if the damage is too deep?

When I opened this book by Blake Deveraux, I knew I was in for a great story. The characters are deep and I couldn’t help but want to hug more than one of them. I was drawn in from the first page because I wanted to see Dillon get his prayer answered. The guy seriously tugged at my heartstrings.

Although I really liked this book, there were a few things that hindered the story. There are a few minor editing errors that tripped me up as I read. I had to go back a couple times and re-read. buy cheap cialis So enjoy full sexual pleasure with your partner in bed. Some men discount viagra pharmacy may require direct medicines in order to run their love-life successfully. Still, it wasn’t enough to keep me from enjoying the story. I also have to mention there is a flashback of forced seduction in this story. While it wasn’t a turn-off for me, because it added to the depth of the story, but some might find the graphic nature of Dillon’s relationship with the antagonist a bit much.

Keeping that in mind, this book isn’t for the weak of heart but it’s a great read. What Dillon goes through and how he deals with it is some really heady stuff. He’s not a simple man and the issues he deals with are equally complex. Another thing about this story, unlike many m/m stories, this one has a healthy mix of religion involved. I have to say, I found it refreshing. Dillon could easily loose his faith and belief in humankind. Mr. Devereaux handles it in a nice fashion that kept me involved in the story. I’m looking for more from this author. Definitely worth 3.5 cherries.

After defeating an evil wendigo, a man and his pooka lover deserve a little quiet, don’t they? Unfortunately, Diego and Finn’s hard-won peace is disturbed, their new life in Montana turned upside-down when Diego, in a jealous rage, unwittingly rips a hole in the impenetrable Veil to the Otherworld.

Separated, stuck on the other side of the Veil where Finn has to deal with old conflicts and Diego is the only human in a land of fae, the two of them are forced to navigate rocky waters between huge egos and ancient feuds. To make matters worse, some of the fae, in both the sidhe and Fomorian courts, are dying of a mysterious illness and everyone believes Diego is the key to a cure.

Things can’t possibly get any worse, can they?

Oh, yes—it can when the U.S. government gets involved.

When charged with saving a dying race, Diego just may lose the love of his life. A jealous argument sends Diego racing off and ripping a hole into the Otherworld. There a race of fae is struggling against the threat of war while being afflicted by a mysterious illness. Diego and Finn race to find each other and a cure. Yet just when matters settle down, the US government steps in and threatens their very lives.

Diego is book two in the Endangered Fae series and it follows the first book, Finn. Now Finn and Diego are happily together but an argument triggers Diego’s dangerous seizures, culminating in a doorway to the Otherworld. The story is tightly plotted and packs a lot in its 400 pages. From the dying fae to the opposing courts, misguided governments and search for an autonomous nation, the book never fails to keep the action high. The characters remain wonderfully three dimensional and highly romantic. There are many new characters introduced and each is imaginative and interesting. Not to mention there are several pairings and each is romantic and lovely. Finn and Diego remain the main couple and they must deal with Finn’s insecurity and feelings of inferiority. Diego grows in power and importance as the fae people call upon his unique powers and insight to help matters.

This is a pretty long book and offers quite a bit of action. You don’t necessarily need to read the previous book to understand as there’s enough background to dive right into this one on its own. The fae world is original, interesting, and fascinating, and I could have read about the actions and court dynamics for the entire story. There is some really funny, laugh out loud moments and some definite hot sex. Though the book is long, it remains entertaining and easy to read.

Someone else is keeping a secret that threatens not only Ben and Aiden’s relationship, but Ben’s very life. Will they be able to keep Ben alive?

Love means being honest and trusting. It also means letting go.

There are few stories that really catch my attention. When I opened the file for Between Love and Obsession, I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. Boy, am I glad I chose this book.

Ms. Ryan wrote the characters so realistically, I thought I was right there with them going through the story. Although this is a short work, there is a lot of emotion packed into fifty pages. The characters are likeable, even with their flaws and you can’t help but root for them to find their HEA.

Aiden took a bit for me to come around to him. There were moments when I didn’t really like him much. He had trust issues that would’ve been hard for some to get around. That being said, his flaws and gaffes were eventually what made me really like him. He’s human. And when he’s with Ben, you can’t miss the love and passion he feels for his partner.

Even the antagonists are realistic and draw the reader deeper into the story. Trust me, there are twists and turns in this book you won’t see coming. I didn’t and it made the story all the better.

This is my first foray into the world of Cooper McKenzie. I’d heard great things and wanted to know for myself. I wasn’t disappointed. This story is hot! Although it’s only thirty-one pages, there is a lot going on. The heat starts on page one and doesn’t let up until the very end. He’d tried everything he could think of to approach her and could only succeed in his were-beaver form. Yet he can’t deny the pull he feels towards her, could she be the one thing he’d been running away from for the past hundred years?

Bagging a beaver has never been so much fun as reading about one falling in love.

Benton is a lovesick beaver who yearns to reveal himself to his lifemate. That comes with all sorts of problems because she doesn’t know a thing about him. Least of which is that he can walk as a man. I like a hero in a quandary. Poor guy has to contend with a smelly suitor, a stalker and a future mate who shoots men first rather than talk to them. He sure has his work cut out for him. I found Benton charming even though his dialogue was a bit stilted. I also enjoyed reading how proficient he is with a woman’s body. She has a secret though; one that she thinks is a killing blow to any future marriage options. Yet hope springs eternal, and she is not so jaded or cynical that she gets mired in bitterness, because she certainly could have. I’m glad the author sidestepped that landmine.

I personally felt disgust and was squicked out at the stalker’s other choice meat to focus on when the initial prey was removed. I think Benton had a narrow escape and I’m glad of it. I couldn’t even drum up any sympathy for that character’s ultimate demise. I just know that it’s eventually going to be a bad ending, but sometimes there’s just no accounting for taste.

Lifemates is a fun, entertaining paranormal romance with a unique shifter species that I’d really like to know more about. It’s 1917 and Lieutenant Jackson Crawford is in Arabia on an important mission. A seasoned soldier sent to ensure a victory that will secure British interests in the Suez Canal, Crawford was prepared for resistance from the prince; he was prepared for the crude weapons, the hellish sun, and the never-ending sand. What he wasn’t prepared for was Harvard bred archeologist turned spy Lillian Barton Drake.

Weeks after Lilly’s arrival in the desert she found herself in the center of a bloody massacre. Rescued by the prince she travels as part of his entourage, doing her utmost to gain his trust while avoiding becoming a part of his harem. Then into the camp rides an exhausted Jackson.

In a twist of fate Jack fights for Lilly’s honor risking life and limb to claim her as his own. Casting aside common sense the couple begin a passionate affair that sets the desert on fire and is guaranteed to melt your heart. Will their love be strong enough to survive the ravages of war, the duty they’ve sworn to their country, and the secrets of Jackson’s past?

If you’re in the mood for a sweeping epic romance with a breathtaking desert backdrop, a sexy British hero and a sultry American heroine, then look no further. Samantha Sommersby’s newest novel, Under Fire, provides all you could possibly desire and more.

The premise is presented in the blurb: A British soldier on an important mission discovers an American woman on a mission of her own who has found herself in a spot of danger. He wins her, promises to protect her, and ultimately falls for her. But even though she reciprocates his affections and they fall in love, things are not so simple. It will take more than their emotions to solidify a future together, and unfortunately, the decision may or may not be theirs to make.

Aside from the carefully researched plot revolving around the Arabic prince and the British government, which is fabulous and intriguing, there remains a second catalyst of interest in Under Fire. However, revealing Jackson’s obligations and responsibilities, as well as his inability to commit wholly to Lillian, would spoil the story, so I will refrain from doing so. What I will say is the barrier that is placed between them is far more than the war and their secret missions. In adding this sort of conflict, you have more than the lives of the protagonists at stake – you also have the fate of their hearts as well.

As war is waged and they risk their lives, they will stand together against the storm and live for the time they are guaranteed together. It’s heartbreaking at times, yet heartwarming at others. Although I had a pretty good idea of what would happen, it was enough to keep me guessing, and the ending is one that is both bittersweet and unfailingly romantic. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and when all is said and done you’ll finish with a happy smile on your face.

Ms. Sommersby has an uncanny talent for creating stories that pull you in and don’t let go, ensuring you are as invested in the story and the events that unfold. The sex is blistering, keeping you writhing in your seat, while the romance and plot move things along and make Under Fire so much more than your average erotic tale. Fans of her Forbidden series will love this story equally as much, and should definitely give her historical side a taste. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
