Sheriff Todd is a character introduced in the first story and I was more than giddy to see that he was getting his chance at love with not one but three mates. All of these men had qualities unique to themselves and behavior that was solely their own. I was happy to see that with so many lead characters they didn’t all seem to have the same identity, which I am sure can easily happen with four men. These unique attributes do not just include their personalities but also their sexual pleasures. If you are unfamiliar with Joyee Flynn than you are missing some excellent erotic scenes. All of the stories I have read by this author include kink and sensuality that leaves me breathless. This story is no exception and with four men, you know it got kinky. One thing I did not truly understand was the relationship between some of the supporting characters. I felt a bit disconnected from them, particularly Si and Hakon at the end of this story.

I did enjoy seeing the relationship development between the main characters Chase and Dracu, though I would have like to have seen Dracu show up a little sooner in the story. This story did however has an unusual and interesting plot that really keep the pages turning.

Even though there is plenty of conflict with the three men, especially Brian, Ms. Lynne also shows tender and heartwarming moments between Pete, Brian and Ethan both in bed and out. I know I will be reading this book over and over again and very highly recommend it to everyone.

I can definitely say that I identified strongest with Caleb and, when he felt betrayed or I felt he was betrayed I was an emotional wreck. I literally was almost in tears when Caleb was upset by Grayson’s and Noel’s actions. The next second I was so angry that I had to stop myself from flinging my Kindle across the room. I had to be satisfied with putting the story down and walking away because I was so upset. I walked away shaking my head wondering why I was so affected by the fact that I thought Caleb was being mistreated. I mean it is just a story right? Luckily for me when I got my feelings back in check I returned to the story to see the happily-ever-after I knew Caleb, as well as Grayson and Noel deserved. While I did feel emotionally attached to Caleb in depths I still don’t quite understand, I still also felt sympathy towards Grayson and Noel. The conflict within this story was excellent! These men had piles and piles of odds stacked against them. The premise of the story is based around Caleb and Grayson being driven apart by their alpha status when they were young but that is just were the trouble really begins. Not only does their relationship have obstacles in front of it, but then comes Noel — the mediator sent to help them work out a peace agreement, who further complicates things when he mates with Grayson.

Now all three men have to fight werewolves and whoever else tries to come between their volatile relationship. These numerous conflicts definitely added richness to the story and also incorporated some interesting justice of their own. It also allowed the men to work through the relationship in a way that guaranteed them success. I do not think that the author would have been able to give them a nice tidy ending had these additional threats not been there.

This story really does have everything you can ask for: plot, characterization, conflict, irony, and imagery. Any story that can turn me upside down the way the way this one did deserves a Best Book rating. It is a story that has made its way to my must read again list and I would suggest anyone with a fascination with m/m and shifters to read this story.

I do not remember reading a story that allowed me to picture the werewolves so vividly. I knew exactly what the authors werewolves looked like because I felt as if they were standing right in front of me.

This story did include a few minor typos. I also have marked it a forced seduction because in the beginning, as the blurb states, Spencer is attacked. It is clear by each man’s personality they would never forced themselves onto someone else so it in no way reflects the relationship between Spencer, Ryder and Lucas. There is also sex that involves one of the participants in werewolf form. The werewolf form is not that of an animal but something in between. The author also leaves this story with a cliffhanger which is great for author because it guarantees I will read the next book, but just seems cruel to me the reader because I want to know what happens next now.

This is a great story for someone who enjoys good shifter stories with a strong love plot.

He is able to recognize that Stefan is not like the others in his life and genuinely wants to help him. The fact that Patrick is able to put his trust into someone after everything he has been through is commendable. It shows that he has been able to maintain some semblance of hope even when things seem to be at their worst. I also like that he becomes possessive over Stefan because it shows how desperately he needs his knight in shining armor.

Stefan is a sweetie who only wants to help his mate. Even if Patrick does not accept him as a mate, Stefan just wants to know he did everything he could to help Patrick escape his controlling master. This makes it clear to the reader that Stefan has a big and open heart, but after meeting the rest of his family in this story I can see where he gets it from.

The connection between Stefan and Patrick is breathtaking. It is amazing the lengths they go to in order to make each other happy. I have labeled this story with BDSM and forced seduction. That is because when Stefan finds Patrick he is forced into having sex with men. He has agreed to be used for sex but he still does not like it. These forced sexual acts take place in a BDSM club. So these labels in no way reflect Patrick and Stefan’s relationship.

This story did have a few antagonistic conflicts. We are presented with the club owner who wants his property — a.k.a. Patrick — back. Also Patrick is not welcomed with open arms from all of the werewolves in the story. These conflicts helped demonstrate the lengths that Stefan and Patrick go to protect one another. Though I will say I would have loved this story without these additional conflicts, because these two men alone are enough to keep anyone interested.

I have not had the pleasure of reading the previous stories from this series but after falling in love with Stefan and Patrick, as well as Stefan’s family, I plan on picking up both previous stories as well as any future stories and I would suggest to anyone else to do the same.

Steffan was the stand out character in this story. We all know at least one person in our lives who is a gentle giant like Steffan. You look at them and never think that they can be insecure especially when it comes to their size, but that is exactly the case with him. He was a sweetheart who I just wanted to see be happy in the end and if Francis made him happy than I wanted him to get his man.

Francis is no slouch, either as a character. He has the inner strength of a true wolf. This is part of a series so it may be carried over to the next story but I did not get a feeling that it was something that was purposefully left open-ended.

Regardless, it was the relationship development within this story that kept me turning pages. It flowed so seamlessly I continued to read until I was suddenly at the end. It is clear from the beginning that these two only have eyes for each other. The journey they take to reach a point of knowing they are true mates is one that will mesmerize anyone who picks up this story.

This story would also make a nice introduction to BDSM. Because the characters are just getting introduced to the BDSM games the reader gets to learn along with them.

For a story with strong, loving characters and plenty of heat, I recommend Pack Discipline: The Strength of a Gamma.
