Jean is a broken man. He’s been practically blinded and terribly scarred by an accident. Alone and angry, he turns to the Velvet Glove to take him out of himself for awhile. Club social director Kestrel introduces Jean to committed pair Noel and Richard. Can these two devoted men find a place in their heart for Jean? And can Jean accept them in return?

Sean Michael’s books deliver the kink and the kindness.

I love the Velvet Glove series and this one, while being super hot, is a sweet addition. Jean, Richard and Noel are good together and I liked the way they helped Jean not feel so…inhibited by his lack of sight.

The story moves at a great clip, going from the hellos to the sexy parts in mere pages, but I’ve come to enjoy this from Sean Michael’s work. I know when I grab one of his books, there will be a lot of heat. Have the glass of something cold handy.

I liked how the story progressed. Sometimes the kink is what you need from a book. But I liked these three characters and I wanted to see more of them. That’s not a bad thing at all. I thought about them and how they worked so well together, far beyond the last page.

If you want a book that’s hot, sexy and will melt your heart, this might be the book for you.

When Jack receives a Two for One offer at a local club, he doesn’t realise the two men would change his life.

Jack Samson moves to Sumerset to start over again. He’s looking forward to his new veterinary practice and maybe having some fun once in a while. He certainly isn’t looking to fall for two men.

Simon Wittman and Brady Vanderly have been partners for fifteen years. They love each other, but they like to play. When they pick Jack up at a local gay bar, they think they’re just looking for a night or two of fun. They end up finding so much more.

Two men, in love and lust, looking for a third to share their bed and their lives.

This book jumps straight into some steamy M/M/M action in a dark corner of a club. It went for the jugular so to speak and set the tone for the rest of the story, in other words, sexy, seriously steamy and well written.

I adored all three characters, they each had flaws, they each had things about them that appealed to me. The author really got their individuality across well. The sex was smokin’ throughout, like seriously e-reader burning if M/M/M is your thing!

There were the usual ups and downs in the plot but it was more relationship focused than anything else, apart from a bit at the end with a sick horse, and I liked that.  The author got it just right for me, so much so that it felt real, like these guys really could live this way, happily and together for all of time.

If you enjoy reading about handsome, sexy men getting off together then this is a good book to try. Solid characters, sex that makes sense on every level for them and a nice long read you can get your teeth into. I would certainly read more by TA Chase.

Nothing’s sexier than seven men with hot rods.

Hot Rods, Book 1

After Eli’s mother died, his father honored her life’s mission as a social worker by taking in several kids from the wrong side of the tracks. Not all of them stuck, but those who did became Eli’s quasi family.

Their bonds, forged in fires set by their personal demons, are unbreakable—or so Eli wants to believe. Especially since he and Alanso, his best friend and head mechanic, witnessed the overpowering allure of polyamory while visiting the Powertools crew.

Much as Eli would like to deepen the relationships among his foster brothers and sister in the Hot Rods Restoration Team, he’s hesitant to risk everything on a quick romp behind a stack of tires.

But when Eli catches Alanso exploring their mutual fantasy at a known hookup spot in a public park, all bets are off. And Eli must decide if it’s time to jump in full throttle—and trust his instincts to guide him through the night. If the pair can dodge the potholes in their own relationship, maybe they can race together toward the unconventional arrangement with Mustang Sally they both desire.

King Cobra is the first in Jayne Rylon’s new Hot Rods series. Hot Rods is a offshoot of her successful Powertools series, and with Hot Rods, Ms. Rylon has turned up the heat even more, with lots of super hot men and one woman, each with a special talent to complete the team.

Eli London runs the very unique and successful Hot Rods Restoration Team. The team is Eli’s family, maybe not by blood, but in every other way that counts. They grew up together, taken in by Eli’s father to honor the memory of his mother. Now, they are a respected and talented team of auto restorers, making magic with each car they restore.

But Eli has been distracted, ever since he and his best friend/head mechanic Alanso got back from a visit to see his cousin Joe. What they saw there, with Joe and the whole crew, keeps going through Eli’s head, and he wants what the crew has: a close and loving relationship with the team. Especially Alanso, and yet, he is afraid that acting on his desires could ruin what they have. Alanso wants it all as well, but most of all, he wants Eli, and not as just a friend anymore. When Eli hesitates too long, Alanso takes off, determined to find out what being with a man can be like.

When Eli finally tells the team what has been on his mind, the surprise him with their enthusiastic interest in the idea, but tell Eli he had better bring Alanso back from wherever he’s gone, before things go all wrong. What Eli sees from his vantage point takes him past the point of no return, and he and Alanso finally admit their feelings for each other. After an incinerating bedroom scene between these two, things are looking up, until bad news arrives, in the form of a letter concerning Alanso’s long gone mother. As Eli tries to help Alanso cope, they spend a night drinking, and bring a woman back to the garage to share. Unknown to them, they have an audience of one, Mustang Sally, and she is devastated by their actions. When sobriety returns, they realize that they have, however unintentionally, hurt one of the team, one special woman they both love. Can they build on their relationship, and figure out how to bring Sally back into their lives? Can Alanso finally put the ghost of his mom to rest? And will the Hot Rods be ready and willing to take things to the next level, together?

Seven men, one woman, with high revving libidos all around. The characters are all well defined, charismatic and deeply passionate, at work and outside it. King Cobra sets the stage for what is to come in this series, and what a fantastic start it is. I like this world Ms. Rylon created, a place where people can be what they are meant to be, and relationships are complex and yet never confusing.

Eli London is King Cobra, leader of the team of Hot Rods. Strong, caring and torn in two by his feelings for not just Alanso, but the whole team. He considers all of them family, and he doesn’t know how he could lust after these people he has grown up with. It’s only when the fear that he may have driven Alanso away forever, that he faces his fears, and the team, with what he wants. I love Eli, because he tries so hard to do what is right, he is so loyal and determined to do what is best. It is only when he realizes he has to be true to himself that he is able to reach out to the others and see a chance at having it all.

Alanso Diaz is strong, sexy and frustrated by Eli’s hesitance. He knows what he wants, what he is, and I liked that about him, his innate honesty in the face of Eli’s denial. I worried a bit when he took off, determined to find out what he was missing, but that worked out better than I could have hoped. I cried a bit at the news about his mom, but it did bring some closure for him, showing him the truth. I was happy to see his ability to roll with the punches, and stay strong even when he makes an error in judgment.

There are some really hot bits in this, and the secondary characters are as well crafted and the leads in this one. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the team fit in to the dynamic that started here. I look forward to seeing more of Roman, Sally, Kaige, Carver Holden and Bryce, and how each one becomes a part of the whole. The emotion in this one touched me, I cried, I laughed and I fell in love with Eli and Alanso. I look forward to falling under the spell of each and every member of the team, and I hope my fan will last through the series. This is for all those romance fans that believe love is love, and where there is love, life is just fine.

Two plus one equals scorching hot fun.

Every time he overhears the diminutive academic and the hunky plumber having loud and obviously kinky sex, Josh is overwhelmed with lust…and a longing for a fraction of what they have.

To his amazement, Rai and Evan find his embarrassing tendency to blush utterly charming, and the three men grow closer over the course of the long, hot summer. Despite Rai’s charming flirtation and Evan’s smoldering gaze, Josh is determined never to break his new friends’ loving bonds.

But just as Josh dares to hope, he senses a change. Leaving him to wonder if the winds of love are about to blow his way at last…or if history is about to repeat itself.

Some say three’s a crowd, but luckily for Josh, Evan and Rai seems rather partial to a bit of crowding!

The noises coming from the flat above drive glassblower Josh Carpenter crazy – crazy with lust. Why can’t the two fit guys get the springs in their bed sorted once and for all and stop torturing the hell out of him? Finally he’s asked up for a visit, but that doesn’t help his lusty state, Rai is flirty and cute, Evan the hottest guy he’s ever seen. But what do they want with Josh? Is it just friendship or is it more?

The Hot Floor is one of those really juicy books that is a decent length, has characters who you feel you really get to know, and sex that is more than just the physical act, it has all the emotions and dilemmas that go with it. The author does a great job of making the whole book about Josh and his relationship with Rai and Evan without the need for lots of side stories going on. It keeps the reader focused on the issues, on the problems and the desires, and in doing so is quite voyeuristic and certainly very satisfying.

There were enough secondary characters to keep it real, and enough mentions of the outside world for me to get a sense of place. I really liked the bath scene, though it would have been a terrifying thing to happen in real life.

Rai and Evan were adorable and I could see why they’d turned Josh’s head. Rai was witty and sexy, Evan tough and rough but completely loveable. When they all got together, naked, Ms Myles does a fantastic job, there’s never a dull moment and the scorchingly hot scenes are orchestrated beautifully.

If you like gay erotica with two or more lovers, a good sprinkle of romance and something that just has that ‘real’ feel to it, then The Hot Floor shouldn’t be missed. Great book.

Beach volleyball player Sam Waterson knows he made a mistake–a really big one–three years ago when paparazzi interrupted his jubilant celebration with sexy Carlos Delacruz, the love of Sam’s life, and with their ménage partner Drew Eversly…and Sam blamed the public exposure on the wrong man. But fate has given him a second chance to prove his prowess on the sun-baked beach volleyball court and at loving the sensual man who has unknowingly held his heart. Can he–or Carlos or Drew–win a spot on the team? But even beyond sweating it out on the court and regaining the spot they had to forfeit three years ago, can Sam win back Carlos’s heart? Sam needs to show Carlos that he can spike and score where it counts…between the sheets.

Sam Waterson can’t quite get Carlos Delacruz or Andrew Eversly out of his system. After a particularly good day of volleyball trials the three men had partied on the sand, only to be interrupted by the tabloids. Thrown out of the trials, his family upset by all the media coverage, Sam went back to Montana, hoping to forget California and the two men he wanted more than anything. Now offered a second chance three years later, Sam is hoping not only to make the team, but reignite things between himself, Carlos and Drew. While Carlos and Drew are more than happy to pick up where they left off sexually, trusting Sam with their hearts and emotions comes a lot slower. So Sam determined to try and prove himself to the men, not willing to let them slip through his fingers a second time.

This is a steamy, sporty short story. The action is all-male, with a good balance between sexy M/M/M action and the politics and competitive nature of high-level sport. I liked how the villain was all bad –completely irredeemable. I also really enjoyed how the guys didn’t just fall over each other and forget their past. It added depth to the story and made it far more than just a delicious romp between team-mates. The sex scenes were well written and highly sensual. This is an excellent quick read for a sporty weekend.

Sometimes werewolves are the good guys.

Kaden has always dreamt of cooking. His family scoffs at his wish to help out the war effort and think he’s wasting himself joining a pack.

Gage is the Alpha of his pack and loves his mate Russ with everything he has. But, although the beta wolf loves him back, Gage isn’t Russ’ mate. In a quirk of nature, their bond is one-sided and while Gage holds as tightly as he can, he can feel his lover slipping away.

Russ loves his Alpha, but a piece of him always longs for what could be. He doesn’t want to hurt his lover-but how much better would life be if he could have a mate of his own?

Three men with different goals discover the difference between love and mating and how sometimes what you want may not necessarily what you need.

Perhaps the way to keep a war running smoothly is through a soldier’s stomach. Kaden believes this when he joins the war effort against the vampires as a kitchen helper.

Kaden is a Gamma, and because of his exceptional beauty most believe he’d rather be serving the pack on his back, but I loved that Kaden wanted to cook. He defied his family to join a pack and show off his culinary skills. When he meets the Alpha, Gage, he’s surprised when he finds that he’s his mate, but doesn’t want to come between Gage and his mate Russ. Kaden gets major points for not immediately being all over Gage and trying to break up Russ and Gage.

Gage and Russ have a one sided mating and they both knew it was only a matter of time until Russ found his mate. Russ gets points for not immediately throwing Gage aside when he finds Kaden. The idea of triad of mates was intriguing and very well done.

This is the first in a new series and it has the makings of a great series. More backstory on the war would have helped this story but it wasn’t so confusing you couldn’t figure out what was going on. The love between the three wolves was explosive. I could easily see these characters falling in love, I loved that with such a short story that the author didn’t expect me to buy into lasting love instantly. Yes, they are fated mates and will of course love each other but it was nice that it was built up to and not instant.

If you love hot werewolf stories with hot men falling in love during wartime, you’ll love this story. So pick this story up and you’ll find yourself hooked and impatiently waiting for the next in the series with me.

What would you do if the lover, brother, son, and friend you thought you’d lost forever was returned to you?

Brutally battered, emotionally and physically for the past two years, Tarkan Deniz has escaped his captors. When the Deniz family discovers the shocking truth they rally and do everything in their power to bring him back safely. But all have been affected by the tragedy of his loss and must come to terms with the new reality, each in their own way.

When Happily Ever After seems like a nightmare…one man can bring healing to all, but will he ever be the same man again?

Flower Passage is a story of love lost and regained, even if it takes a slightly different form than before.

Tarkan had been kidnapped when a bomb exploded through the Turkish Parliament building and subsequently tortured, seemingly forever. With the aid of a mysterious woman, he manages to escape, killing most of his captors. His helper murdered in the process. Disorientated, confused and in desperate straights he manages to get to safety but is seriously injured. Tarkan’s family and former lover, Caleb, are all informed and rally to find him, having thought him long-dead from the bomb. While Tarkan’s family search desperately for him, Tarkan hides in the Flower Passage to lick his wounds and readjust to the outside world. Caleb assists in this search, but he is torn. He is still haunted and in love withTarkan, but head over heels in love with his new partner, Adem. When Tarkan continues to hide, only Caleb can help bring him back out and into their lives once again.

This is the latest book in an ongoing series revolving around Tarkan’s family, but it’s not strictly necessary to have read the others first. The author does a good job of catching the reader up on the other couples/members though it does slow the pace of the story a bit. I was a bit disappointed that a very large portion of the book was dedicated to these other characters and not the main relationship between Tarkan, Caleb and Adem.

Despite this, the characters are extremely likeable and interesting. The bonds between the family members – new and old – are well drawn and it sucks the reader into the story. Written in an easy pace, the connections and love is clearly shown between the various pairings and family members. Still, I would have liked to see more of Tarkan and how he coped with the ramifications of his torture and captivity. The interactions between all the characters was vibrant and some of the scenes heart wrenching. The ending felt a little rushed, but overall the likeability of the main heroes as well as the major secondary characters made this an enjoyable read.

What can bring a strong career Marine to his knees?

Daniel Deveraux is a man of action. He doesn’t allow his life to be complicated by anything or anyone. He left the Marines after deciding that the don’t-ask-don’t-tell policy was more than he could abide. He returned home in search of a simple life, one devoid of the insanity he’d endured in Iraq. Love for him was a distant dream.

Brandon Matthews is an exceptional man, both in body and in mind. His magnetic personality and exceptional good looks were an impenetrable wall behind which this damaged man safely hid. His journey found him working days as a carpenter, and nights as “eye candy” at a local gay bar.

The two men find themselves on a tumultuous journey of emotional and sexual revelation that threatens to destroy them both. The intense sexual relationship binds them in a way neither one expects.

The question remains—will the deep sexual bond bring the two men together in a deep and enduring love? Or will it destroy them?

So much drama, so much angst, but such a great read.

I must admit I’ve had this book on my shelf for quite a while. I’d walk past it and take it down, only to put it back. Why? I’d read the first few pages and was sucked in, but I put it back because I didn’t want the story to end. I knew it had to–there’s only 170 pages. I’m glad I read the book, I only wish I’d gotten to it a LOT faster.

Initially I wasn’t impressed with Brandon. He grated on my nerves because he had so much baggage. That said, the farther I got in the book, the more I respected him and the more I fell in love with him. He’s complex and Mr. Deveraux wrote him with such care, I felt like I was right there and could hug Brandon. Heck, I wanted to. The descriptions put me right in his shoes. I liked Daniel, even when he got irksome. Why? I understood his feelings and could identify with him. He’s a good man trying to figure out how to get what he wants out of life. Loved it.

Before I go any further, there were a few things that kept me from fully enjoying this book. Many times the same descriptions were used for the same character. I liked knowing how hot both men were, but felt there were times when I didn’t need to be told again. I enjoyed Mr Deveraux’s story telling. There were times I wasn’t sure where the characters lived, but it never yanked me from the story.

I do have to mention there are more than a couple scenes that aren’t for the faint of heart. There’s a great deal of sexuality in the story and Mr Deveraux handles the emotions behind the acts well. If the reader isn’t expecting a BDSM scene, then it could come across as a shock. Don’t get me wrong, the scene made the book and gave me greater insight into the characters. The scene scorched the pages of the book and left me needing a cold drink. Yeah, it’s that intense.

There aren’t many books with characters who stick with me after the last page. This book is one of those rare exceptions. I wanted to spend more time with Daniel and Brandon. Good for me, there’s two more books in the series. I can’t wait to get my hands on them. If they are anything like this book, they will be worth the read. If you want a book that’s strong on emotion and sex as well as a pair of characters guaranteed to wrap around your heart, then this is the book for you.

Why would a happy couple risk everything when they have just begun to find happiness?

Daniel Deveraux and Brandon Matthews have just bought a new home. They have spent months working on their relationship. Things are finally going their way.

After losing a close friend, Brandon befriends a handsome young mover, Charles. Daniel and Brandon take the handsome man into their home to help protect him from his abusive father.

Charles, confused about his life and his sexuality finds himself wildly attracted to the two men. Unwilling to risk his friendship with Brandon, instead he finds himself in an endless cycle of failed relationships.

Will Daniel and Brandon allow the handsome man that has already found his way into their hearts, into their bed?

The angst is back and ready for round two!

I had waited quite a while before I picked up my first book by Blake Deveraux. I’ve since remedied that fact. This is the second book in his Men of Honor series. I got to visit with Daniel and Brandon all over again, plus meet a few new characters along the way. There’s angst in this book, but it’s well founded. Mr. Deveraux has characters who have been through the wringer and desperately need what we all need…love. I enjoyed how Mr. Deveraux snared me right into the story from the first page. I even tried to put the book down once or twice – the family does need to eat – and as soon as I could, I ran back. I had to know what would happen next.

There are parts where the story gets a bit telly versus showing and a couple of times when I wasn’t sure who was talking. But all in all, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book.

There are wonderful surprises in this book. I got see more of Daniel and Brandon’s past and seeing the issues made a lot more sense. Although some of the issues between them are more fleshed out, I can say that the sex is still smoking hot. The emotions run high. Mr. Deveraux writes scenes to scorch the pages, but in this book there aren’t as hardcore of scenes. This is a good thing in that there aren’t as many surprises for the casual reader. But, that also means that there is more tenderness in the love scenes. Either way, it’s a great read.

I enjoyed the views of the secondary characters as well. Joe and Charles will have a great story to tell and since they are next, I can’t wait. I liked the chemistry between them.

If you want a book that sizzles, then this might just be the novel for you. Enjoy!

After her pack is killed, Kate hides her inner wolf and goes on the run. She moves in with a rising rodeo star and tries to blend in with the humans.

Gage and his lover, Tanner, are at the rodeo for one reason – to see Shiloh Ford, champion bronc rider, in person. The two Lycans are shocked to discover the human cowboy has a fiancée, and she’s a wolf. Desperate to bring the she-wolf into their pack, Gage and Tanner befriend Shiloh, but the wolf-shifters find they’re just as attracted to the cowboy as they are to Kate.

Despite the electrifying bond between Kate and the two Lycans, she refuses to turn her back on the life she’s built with Shiloh, but when fire forces her out of their home, Kate has to make a decision. Will she continue to reject her true nature or accept her place in the wolf pack?

Author Gale Stanley has created a fantastic tale that spans sixteen years and a cross country trek.

Betrayal led to the massacre of their families and a fear of humans. Like many of the remaining men of their pack, Gage and Tanner turned to one another out of necessity, comfort and a scarcity of female Lycans. When a chance meeting with a lost female member of their pack, Kate, brings out their mating instincts they’ll have to decide if she’s worth the risk. Kate no longer travels alone. Gage and Tanner not only have to woo the wary female, they’ll have to decide if they can trust and love her very hot human cowboy protector.

This is a short story so the reader isn’t required to relive the entire history of the characters but it is nicely sprinkled throughout the novella. Rather than overwhelming the story or holding back what is happening in the present, bits of the past and memories from Gage, Tanner and especially Kate add to the overall believability of the tale. Kate’s memories are especially compelling and paint her a sympathetic character. The only non-Lycan member of the cast of main characters is rodeo star Shiloh Ford. In a manner similar to Gage and Tanner, Kate and Shiloh hooked up based on necessity and comfort. Shiloh is a likable character who has immediate chemistry with both Gage and Tanner despite their secretiveness.

There are several other character pairings mentioned throughout the story but mostly in passing conversation. We never really get to meet the other human/Lycan mates but their stories sound like they would be interesting. Ms. Stanley has already written and published the two follow-up books in the Southwestern Shifter series but they appear to be centered on other wolves in the pack.

Readers may notice the scenes sometimes jump rather quickly between chapters without a truly smooth transition. I had to flip back and re-read the previous paragraph a couple of times to be sure I understood the transition. Don’t get me wrong, though, this was really only a minor disruption and didn’t kill the overall enjoyment of the book.

If you’re looking for a short story series with lots of heart and heat, check out the first book in the Southwestern Shifter series, Hellfire. This novella is great for a quick read and the follow-up stories are conveniently already published. Ms. Stanley is a clever writer and worth checking out.
