Together they work to battle prejudice and solidify their shaky relationship. When a power struggle in Keaton’s pack threatens Keaton’s life, the two men must quickly learn whether they can depend on each other.

Chay is a werewolf who had a dream of a boy with blond hair and blue eyes when he was younger. Growing up, his mum made it clear that his mate would be a girl, and Native American, just like them. Imagine Chay’s surprise when he finds his mate and realizes that girly parts are nowhere to be found! Keaton is a strong werewolf in a small body, and he has one helluva temper! So much so, he walks out on his family when they won’t accept him being gay. When it comes to Chay though, Keaton has met his match.

This is a fantastic story – sweetness and sexy times rolled up together. There is mystery as well, after all, someone is trying to kill Keaton. The best part for me was when Chay realized Keaton was his mate and after he got over the shock of him being a him, decided to make sure Keaton knew how he felt. He wasn’t backing down, no way, no how. These two make such a good pair, and I would love to read more of them!

The pacing of this story was smooth, with no errors that disrupted my reading. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and the cast of characters, both main and supporting. The mystery part of it kept me guessing until the end, which is always a good thing.

A great story that I thoroughly enjoyed and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. I would love to continue both with the series and with this author. Brilliant.

When he hears Finn’s cry for help he knows this Omega is the one he’s been searching for his entire life. Jakob would do anything in his power to keep Finn safe, even if that means going up against an entire pack.

Finn had never got along with his brother or father, but family was all he had until their father was murdered and Finn had no choice but to honor an arrangement made without his consent, that he become part of another pack as one of their breeders. Jakob had been watching and waiting for two years while Finn got comfortable in his new home. When the time was finally right, Jakob knew he would claim Finn, no matter what other arrangements had been made. Can each man fill the need the other has?

I found this to be a sexy and interesting short story. Finn and Jakob are both complicated characters and I was grateful the author gave them both a bit of space to get to know each other before fully committing to each other. Both Finn and Jakob have baggage and things in their past that they need to work through and while their mutual attraction and bond is undeniable, I feel it would have made things slightly unrealistic had they solidified the mating bond when they first met and came to know each other intimately. I felt this short bit of extra time helped make each characters really deepen and understand what they meant to each other – but it also helped me as a reader see how these two very different men with different issues fit together and how they might work in a longer-term relationship.

Readers looking for a complicate plot or a strongly woven, action-packed story won’t find that here. This story had a number of strong and interesting characters and the relationship between Finn and Jakob, as well as the larger pack itself was the main focus. I was quite happy for this narrower focus – Finn and Jakob really were centre stage and the main part of what I was interested in so I was pleased they and their relationship was where the story focused mainly upon.

The sex between the men was hot and explicit but it was clear they also cared deeply for each other. Emotional and with a pacing that I enjoyed, this was an interesting and good read which I enjoyed.

Jeffrey and Derek seem so different, but in their convictions, they find common ground, and the heat they call up in each other can’t be ignored. Can they salvage a disastrous evening and a painful reminder of Jeffrey’s past?

Jeffrey usually avoided people like Derek at all costs. Slick, wealthy and totally out of Jeffrey’s usual orbit, people like Derek have no place in Jeffrey’s world. The two men collide when Derek’s foundation gives a huge money grant to Jeffrey’s coalition of homeless shelters and despite neither man being on the market for a relationship the chemistry zings between them. Can these two DC men handle the power brewing between them?

I found this to be an interesting and well-paced short story. Both Derek and Jeffrey are layered, complicated characters and even though they are from completely different worlds many of their characteristics are similar. I admit I got a little tired of hearing about just how similar they both were (they were frequently both referred to as “driven” and instigators of good and how young they were to be the best in their field and so forth). A part of me wonders if maybe instead of having mutual friends repeat these similarities many times and various newspaper articles quoted again and again this drive and ambition of both men could have been showcased in a different and less repetitive manner throughout the book.

I also wasn’t particularly keen on the mis-communication that caused some serious conflict between the two men towards the end of the story. It made me genuinely doubt whether it was realistic for Jeffrey and Derek to work together longer-term if such a simple misunderstanding could get blown so far out of proportion and (initially at least) neither party was willing to talk their concerns through. When both Jeffrey and Derek’s immediate response was to sever ties and not communicate (or trust, or try to understand what was really happening) particularly when they were really moving forward with their relationship together it cast some serious doubts about their future potential to me, personally.

I did, however, really like how neither man was perfect and they were each recovering in their own way from bad relationship choices in their recent past. Both men were susceptible to being taken advantage of romantically and each has been burned before. I feel this, more than their professional power and career activities, put the two men in each other’s romantic orbit. These men were both hard-wired to give and love and support. While I can easily see that it would be easy for some romantic partners to abuse those parts of Derek and Jeffrey’s characters, by supporting and raising each other higher, I felt it meant Derek and Jeffrey could amplify their outreach and good works. I found this aspect to the story very hopeful and uplifting and a great read.

With a lot of good works, helping their community and a strong feeling of warmth, this is overall a very good story. I enjoyed the strong cast of secondary characters and found both Derek and Jeffrey to be interesting and realistic people to read about. With a few bumps along the way this overall was a fun and light story to read.

Being kicked out of the family home for being gay would have been bad enough, but Lee Clark also worked in his dad’s garage. Losing his family, his home and his job all in the same day left him floundering. He can’t believe his luck might be changing when he finds a job at Everyone’s Mechanic, another garage, where he’s accepted for who he is.

Intrigued from the start by the shy man now working for his business partner’s boyfriend, Saul struggles through bad advice and misunderstandings to convince Lee that he’s serious about wanting a chance with him. Getting Lee to give him a shot at romance was difficult enough, but when drama and blackmail from outside sources are added in, the relationship becomes almost impossible.

It will take the combined efforts of Lee’s garage family and Saul’s real one to set things right.

Most people start their lives anew because they want to – a new job, a new town, a new partner. Lee starts a new life because he has been kicked out of his family home and beaten up by his brother, which is nothing unusual, unfortunately. He is lucky in that he finds somewhere where he is actually welcomed, not just tolerated. And then he meets Saul…

This was a great story, with Lee meeting up with his boyhood crush, and Saul being everything Lee could possibly wish for. I completely understood where Lee was coming from, and like the others in the book, sometimes I thought Saul deserved a clip on the back of his head, however well-meaning his intentions were.

This is a romance and suspense wrapped up together. It has a perfect cast of characters (I’m looking at you, Gracie!) and some heart-rending moments too. The conversation with Sam just about killed me, but I won’t go into any more detail than that!

With a smooth pace, a great storyline, and that fantastic cast of characters, this was a book I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this book, and I look forward to reading more in this series.

Car restorer Dean Milford had a horrible break up with his boyfriend, Chuck. This caused him to distract himself with drinks and one-night stands. His friends Trevor and Brent had found love which leaves Dean feeling he was the odd man out, especially as they have not been able to spend time together. When he first saw Lee a few years ago it was instant attraction but he thought he was too young and innocent for him.

Lee Studer lost his sight not long ago and is learning to navigate the world in a new way. He is getting tired of his family’s overprotectiveness as he really wants to be independent. The one thing that he loves to do is work on cars in a friend’s garage. He is able to tell what is wrong by using his ears. He feels the best when he works with his best friend Scott, who is deaf from an accident. Lee was essential in helping him deal and adapt to society. Lee is a strong person learning to navigate the world in a brand-new way. It’s not easy and he feels fear at times and is overly worried about what others think of him.

The love dance between Lee and Dean is slow and clumsy but their relationship got them through the hard times when uncertainty and trying to keep whomever is trying to drive Lee away at bay. The loves scenes were not explicit but it did show a lot of foreplay, masturbation, and oral.

There are a few things that I questioned. There was no mention of a white cane which many blind people learn to use to navigate the world and I wondered how Lee walked around on his own safely. And the act of always explaining where the food is on a plate was a bit overdone.

One of my favorite scenes is Lee learning how to box, a great way to lose his anger and frustration from everything that was going on in lies life. He even learned a few self-defenses moves.

The author shows that just because you have a disability, that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy life. It also shows that inner strength can keep you from becoming a hermit. You have to admire Lee for getting the pieces of his former life back. A good read especially if you know someone with a disability.

Bear shifter “Grizz” Locke is ex-military and ready for PI work, which if not exactly safe seems less likely to get him killed on a daily basis. The added bonus of teaming up with former lover, Brock, a jaguar shifter, is all the incentive Grizz needs.

They might even rebuild their mate bond, severed years ago—as long as they don’t manage to get killed first.

When an enemy targets the Apex team, Brock and Locke will fight with all they have to protect their own. To enjoy life and love as fate intended, they will have to find out who wants them dead before someone at the agency pays the ultimate price.

Brock has been badly burned physically and emotionally in the past by an ex-lover. He and Locke have a complicated history, but Brock wasn’t ready to trust again and so he pushed the Grizzly bear away. Both men have managed to come back together and been given a second change. They’ve both changed, but some things – like the sizzling chemistry between them – remain the same. Can they make it work this time around?

I really enjoyed this strongly paranormal full length story. While it’s the second in the Apex Investigations series I was pleased that it can easily be read as a stand alone story. I found both Brock and Locke to be interesting and layered characters, and while the chemistry and blossoming relationship between them was fairly smooth the trappings of plot around them – the PI agency and some of their cases – was more than enough plot, conflict and complications to keep me happily and eagerly reading away.

I adored all the characters of the PI Agency. I love it when a good story has a strong and large base of solid secondary characters, and I certainly found that the other PIs fit that bill. I am definitely anticipating more books to come in this series and feel the readers will be spoiled for choice whom among those left should be featured next.

While the paranormal world doesn’t differ too much from our own, there were enough references to difficulties between the various shifters (like alluding to the differences between “cats and dogs”) and enough magical shenanigans and world-building that I feel readers should be able to follow along at the more paranormal aspects to the world. Readers looking for something strongly sci-fi or deeply entrenched in paranormal lore mightn’t find themselves satisfied. But personally I felt there was ample magic and shifter side-plot to keep most readers – including myself – very happy with that side of the story. There was a strong element of conducting PI investigations which I also felt slotted this book thoroughly into the Mystery sub-category, though this wasn’t a “who done it” classic style of mystery.

With excellent characters, a whole bunch of steamy sex and a varied and delightful cast of strong secondary characters I found this to be a great read and one I really enjoyed. I will be eagerly looking for the next few in this series.

Still recovering from a painful break-up, Mike is determined to try and move on with his life. But Benton, Mike’s ex-boyfriend, is also on the cruise and neither man has really got over the other.

I really enjoyed this light-hearted story. Told from Mike’s perspective in the first person I got a good feel for his character quite early on and found Mike to be relatable and interesting. He has a few quirks and overall I found it easy to like him and get invested in his story. The only real problem I have with the first person perspective is it often then takes me longer to get attached to other characters – in this example, Benton. Seeing Benton only through Mike’s eyes and Mike’s baggage still remaining from their split made it difficult for me to get a good feel for Benton’s character and work out for myself whether I felt sympathy for his character or whether Mike’s bias coloured my perspective. I have to give the author kudos because even while Benton and Mike weren’t getting along at the beginning of the story there was enough lightness between their interactions and distance from the actual break-up itself I could see this conflict would likely be resolved happily between the two men, but at the same time it felt like a lot of additional drama and potential sources of problems later on should things not work out well.

I did like how the author managed to balance between light-heartedness – like Benton and Mike being forced to share a room on the cruise ship – and the more serious issues and unresolved problems from their ill-fated relationship. This helped give some conflict and tension to the story and while I felt the tension between the men carried on a little longer into the story than I’d have ideally liked, it really did add some good depth to the overall plot, I felt.

Readers who enjoy complicated and multi-layered romances should find this suits many of their needs. I liked the setting of the cruise ship and found much of the story relatable and realistic. I found the chemistry between Benton and Mike grew at a good pace and really sizzled between them. While I wasn’t initially positive they really were a well-matched couple, learning Benton’s character better and, eventually, really understanding the chemistry between the two men helped sell me on the feasibility and longevity of their relationship.

A fun and entertaining cruise-ship romance story, this was a great read I really enjoyed.

Saxon couldn’t resist the lure of the small apartment and even though he knew he could only use it a few nights a week considering his other work-commitments he still made the purchase. Months later, he’s shocked when he spends the night on a different schedule to find a stranger carefully climbing in through his skylight and using the flat as if it were his. Who is this night-time interloper and why is Saxon so beguiled by him?

I found this to be a fun and sexy short story. Apart from needing to completely suspend my disbelief in the very beginning (who on earth doesn’t call the cops and/or throw out an intruder who breaks in?) the rest of the story was logical and sexy – a fun romp and smoking hot. The chemistry and attraction was vivid and easy to believe between Jon and Saxon and I was pleased that while they moved to the bedroom fairly quickly, it didn’t come across to me as insta-lust. They both chatted first and carefully felt out their boundaries and such. While I could understand if the pace moved too fast for some readers, personally I found considering the short length of the story coupled with the fact both men were already in a highly unusual situation it didn’t feel too much of a stretch for me to believe they’d act on their mutual attraction for each other.

I enjoyed the small side-plot and while it felt a little clichéd to me, it was a good counterpoint to the blossoming relationship between Jon and Saxon. This helped add depth to the story and I thought it really rounded the tale out. It let me feel as if the story wasn’t just a fly-by sexy tale, but had a little more substance to it. The trust and need grew quickly between the two men but I thought overall it was believable. There were a few other characters – far more loosely sketched and not as complicated as Saxon or Jon – but I can’t fault the author for generally keeping the focus of the story firmly on the two main men.

A quick, interesting story this was a fun and sexy read.

I thoroughly enjoyed how Angelo came out of his shell with Bruce and George. All three had such different personalities and yet melded together perfectly. This did not diminish my enjoyment of the book, but is just an observation. I would love to see more, both of Birch and Henri, but also Nate and Jason and the company they work for.

If you’re looking for a suspenseful book that has some hot moments and witticisms, then I can definitely recommend this book.
