A year and a half after a breakup, Jason Tomlinson isn’t actively looking for a relationship. Hell, he can do bad all by himself. But Gabe Ford is just too damn yummy to resist. Just as things are beginning to pick up, one bullet may end it all before it even begins.

Jason doesn’t usually flirt with his customers, but Gabe is a cop and just too hot for Jason to ignore. Problem is, Gabe hasn’t dated in forever because he doesn’t want to come out and make things weird with his work partner. But when Jason and Gabe get onto the same page things look like they could really get interesting – and serious between them. Can they both make this work?

I really enjoyed this short story. I found it walked a lovely fine line between being humorous but still quite serious and interesting. I enjoyed that Jason could tease and prod Gabe without coming across to me as a jerk or brat. Gabe was quite hesitant at the start, I didn’t get the impression that he was in the closet really – but more abstaining by choice because he didn’t want the balance he currently held in his life messed with. So Gabe was quite rusty in the relationship/dating department and I really felt Jason was a good match for him. Far more lighthearted and a little flirty Jason felt to me like someone who could help Gabe relax a bit and let more of his real personality out with. Watching these two men circle and get to know each other was wonderful and I really enjoyed this aspect of the story.

I was a little surprised and disappointed to find there were just a couple of typos (twice where Jason and Gabe’s names had been swapped around to reference the wrong man) and both these instances jolted me out of the story, making me go back, re-read the sentence and make sure I hadn’t mis-read but that they were typos. Usually small editing mistakes don’t worry me – I get so caught up in a story I can often read what’s meant to be there and can gloss over small mistakes, but something as important as referencing the wrong character was enough to spoil the reading moment for me which was a little frustrating. That said, I really enjoyed the slow progress as the relationship between Jason and Gabe blossomed. I loved how Gabe was a bit reluctant – his experience as a cop and having been burned before making him not trust his instincts and be wary because Jason seemed just too perfect. I also loved how Jason seemed to know just when to tease, when to kiss Gabe silly and when to give the man time to breathe and think. I adored the pacing of this story and feel it should appeal to a lot of people.

I found the sex deliciously graphic and certainly hot enough to rate it’s erotic label. Gabe and Jason had some smoking hot chemistry and neither man was afraid to ask for what he wanted. With interesting and fun characters, a great plotline and a delicious relationship that moves at a slow but steady pace this was a great read and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ll definitely be looking at more stories by this author.

The book has a classic plot since Jaime is the distressed/submissive mate that needs saving and Franco is the protector. There were alternate time changes from present to past. It did give a better understanding with the story.

Jaime may be physically weak and may need Franco’s protection and strength but out of both of them Jaime is the most mentally strong one. Jaime was his to protect. Max’s a renowned artist and Pete’s a successful and cocky divorce lawyer. Their friends envy them, except their marriage is a sham, a fake arrangement. When a car accident shatters all the lies they’d built over the years, will Max turn tail and run away, or see the chance of a lifetime?

The moment Pete opens his eyes in the hospital room, he instantly hates the massive surgical scar across his chest. It’s a reminder of his mistake, his sin, because Max might have forgotten but he was the one at the wheel that night. When fate offers them a second chance to make their marriage real, will Pete be brave enough to right his wrongs?

While having a bitter and jealous argument, Max and Pete were involved in a car crash, leaving Pete in a coma and Max unable to do his art – his only real passion. When Pete finally wakes up, everything has changed. Can Max and Pete turn their fake marriage into something real?

I found the start of this story a little disorientating. It starts in the middle of a fight while Max and Pete are driving home, slightly drunk and both angry and then the car accident happens. I personally struggled a little to understand exactly what was going on in the situation the story had opened up into. Even understanding that their marriage was a sham Max seemed to genuinely dislike his husband (Max even uses the words “hate” in his thoughts in relation to Pete) and the argument is quite bitter. I didn’t really grasp why – if there was so much tension and anger built up between the two men – they had continued on as long as they did. I also didn’t really feel there was a solid explanation why Max didn’t leave Pete all those weeks Pete was in a coma. For me, personally, the opening and first chapter or so were quite confusing and it took me a lot longer than normal to really get into the characters and story itself.

As the story progressed, however, a lot of the relationship dynamics are explained. I found the rest of this story an interesting and complicated discovery of how Pete and Max’s relationship not only began and reached the point we started at on page 1, but also how they each could discover a way to move forward. I have to admit a part of me didn’t find Pete and Max’s relationship very healthy – certainly, in my opinion, it’s not a traditional “romantic” relationship. But Pete and Max were both fully capable, grown men, and discovering why they stayed with each other, and how they came to rely on the other and their relationship was a very different and interesting read. As they’re both recovering from the accident for most of the story there’s not a lot of physical romance between the men, this story focuses more on the two men’s personalities and the relationship itself, which I thought was a good thing. I feel that had the author adding sex into the mix between them both it could have been slightly too charged and I partly feel that would have only added to my confusion and the murkiness of the men’s relationship.

Readers looking for an intense and deeply relationship-centric style of story – or possibly a hurt/comfort style of story – should find this a good read. I did find it different to the usual romance story and aside from being quite confused initially I enjoyed it. This is definitely a “slow burn” sort of romance and while Pete and Max do become intimate right near the end there isn’t a lot of physical romance between the men – this is more about the relationship itself and Max and Pete coming to terms with their new situation in life both as individuals and as a married couple.

He’s introduced to Reece, his personal trainer, and Barclay is determined to work hard and get his life back on track. But Barclay has a difficult past – a stalker ex that Barclay thinks might have purposely caused his “accident” – and it’s all going to catch up with him soon. Can Reece and the other men of the Iron Eagle Gym help give him the support and assistance Barclay needs?

I found this to be an interesting and engrossing read. I was delighted the Barclay wasn’t cut from one of the usual “submissive men” mould patterns. He didn’t immediately do every single thing that Reece suggested, nor did it appear to me that Barclay was even looking for a partner, let alone a Dom/sub style of relationship. I found all these factors to be really refreshing – and while certainly not unique to Sean Michael novels (a number of them have quite different styles of characters) I find that it’s all too frequent in BDSM stories that both the Dom and sub partners often fall into one of a few categories. So this really helped keep the story – and most importantly, the characters – fresh to my perspective. It also kept the pace of the romance slightly slower and allowed me as a reader to get to know both Reece and Barclay and their personalities and circumstances. In a longer novel I usually prefer this slower-paced romance because it makes the whole setup usually feel more realistic to me and deeper. This story had that in spades and I loved it.

I was also really impressed that it wasn’t really necessary to have read any of the previous stories to understand and appreciate Barclay and Reece’s romance and story. Sure, there’s cameo’s from characters in the previous books but the story absolutely stands alone to my mind. Readers who have been following the series might get more satisfaction from seeing how friendly all the characters are together in the larger sense of the gym’s world, but I strongly feel I could have picked this up cold and got just as much from the story as I did having read the previous novels. I really appreciate this in a book well into a series like this one is.

My only qualm (and it’s nit-picking, really) was that the stalker-ex-boyfriend thing initially felt a little clichéd to me. I have to admit, the author did a good job of balancing the plot of the ex with the blossoming of the new relationship between Barclay and Reece. The two main men get a really good, solid foundation going before the ex shows up onto the scene, and I was pleased Reece and Barclay’s relationship really is the primary focus of the story until towards the last half or quarter or so of the book. So while I felt the stalker ex was a little clichéd it really did add some conflict and real tension and I did love how it brought so many of the men of the Iron Eagle gym together to unite against a common cause. In that sense it was really well handled to my mind.

Readers looking for a character-rich, multi-layered and really well written M/M romance should absolutely check this out. The BDSM is mild, but definitely present and quite tastefully written. The characters are front and centre and really done justice. I found the whole story emotional, different and a brilliant read. I’m eagerly looking forward both to diving back and re-experiencing this story and for hopefully more installments in the future. Highly recommended.

Score! The attraction between the two men deepens as they explore Cody’s favorite spots, but when difficulties arise and Aaron’s insecurities threaten to overwhelm him, will Cody’s love be enough to keep him in Mystic?

Aaron was not the impulsive type. A librarian and bookworm through and through, he loved calmness and order. Cody loves his life, his home and his family, but he has a serious case of itchy feet. He’s not quite sure what he’s looking for – but he simply feels compelled to constantly search for it. Can Aaron and Cody be looking for exactly the same thing?

I found this to be a fun and slower paced style of story. I loved that the author gave plenty of time to introduce both Aaron and Cody’s characters to the reader, but also gave them both some space to get to know each other – rather than just jumping into bed together. I heartily sympathized with Aaron – a generally sedate and sensible man who had the occasional burst of spontaneity – and adored Cody, a free spirit who desperately needed a bit of grounding. I felt right from the start that the two men were perfectly matched and while it took them a little while to really come together it was deeply satisfying for me as a reader when they did connect and the relationship blossomed between them. Readers looking for an explicitly erotic story might not find the heat level they expect here. While there is a consummation scene between Cody and Aaron – and there’s plenty of steamy kisses and sexual chemistry – there isn’t a lot of explicit sex. Personally, this didn’t bother me. I thought the chemistry and attraction between the two men was clear to see and very steamy, but I understand this might not be what all readers expect from an erotic romance story.

I enjoyed the strong cast of secondary characters and found the warmth between Cody and his family endearing and interesting. Personally, I would have preferred there to be a little more plot, rather than just have Aaron adjusting to the inter-state move and Cody find some direction in his life. I’m usually not a fan of extensive conflict or over-the-top drama in my romance stories, but I did feel like the plot lacked a little something in this particular story. The vibrancy of the characters though, and slow burn between Cody and Aaron as they developed their romance really was wonderful to read – I just couldn’t help but feel a little something more would have made this story really sing to me.

With interesting and lovely characters, a slow, sweet love story between Cody and Aaron and plenty of adventures this was a great story that I enjoyed.

Even though progress for Tomy is slow, he and Jason together start to work on his first knitting project, and in the process try to heal his heart.

I really enjoyed this story – finding it both sweet and romantic. I loved that the pace of the story was slow, giving it a slightly older feel. This isn’t a “their eyes connected and they jumped into bed” style of story – so erotic readers looking for something with a ton of spice and sex might not find this suits their tastes. Personally, I enjoyed the gradual progression from acquaintances, to friends, to lovers. The emotional connection and strength of friendship between Tomy and Jason really helped sell this whole story to me and gave it a warmth that I just loved.

While the story does start (and end) around Christmas-time it’s not a strong theme throughout the whole story. The healing and slowly growing relationship between Tomy and Jason – along with their dance lessons and knitting lessons are really what’s central to the story. With a strong supporting cast of characters – predominantly Tomy’s family – this had very much the feel of a small-town romance style of story to me. I loved that the slower pace really let us get to know both Tomy and Jason’s characters and the slow burn between them was a pleasure to watch. When they finally did get together I found it hot and sexy, the chemistry intense and completely believable from all the groundwork that had been laid.

With vibrant and interesting characters, tons of chemistry and a really solid plotline this was a great story and one I really enjoyed. Recommended.

Love doesn’t play by anyone’s rules.

Karl has found an ideal hookup partner in Teddy. Their kinks align wonderfully, and they click outside the bedroom as well. There would be relationship potential if it weren’t for one problem: Teddy is an empath, and he’s convinced himself that he won’t need to be submissive once he bonds with an anchor.

This herb is extensively used for ayurvedic treatment as it has a unique method of ascertaining the root cause of a disease and curing it cialis 40 mg completely.
While Karl wasn’t initially looking for commitment, his affection for Teddy grows into love, and he’s ready to make the lifelong promise of being Teddy’s anchor. This sends Teddy fleeing, because he’s determined to avoid becoming the latest victim of empath abuse. Karl wants nothing more than a chance to prove that being a Dom and a responsible anchor aren’t mutually exclusive, but first, Teddy has to stop running.

Karl knew without question that he was looking for a partner who was submissive in the bedroom and while he wasn’t sure he was ready for another long-term boyfriend, Karl was certain he wanted some seriously kinky sex. After receiving a number of replies to his online profile, Karl was curious enough to reciprocate contact with Teddy. After one seriously steamy phone conversation they’re both pretty sure the other is what they want. Can things work out between them?

While this is definitely set in an alternate-style of futuristic world, I wouldn’t consider this a heavy sort of Sci-Fi story. Most things are completely understandable (like there’s no weird slang and messages/texts get sent on your watch etc) and not too hard to comprehend. Personally, I really liked this but I have a feeling readers who are really into their Sci-Fi might not find this a different enough world and perspective to satisfy them. I was also pretty happy that Karl and Teddy start their relationship pretty much immediately and the sex is both smoking hot and very quick off the bat. It’s clear that a deeper emotional connection will be forthcoming and the romance side of their relationship wasn’t left behind – but Karl and Teddy do jump into bed together almost immediately and their kinky sex is definitely hot enough for the explicit rating of the story.

I was intrigued, therefore, that the fact Teddy is an Empath – a person who can pick up and feel the emotions of people in the near vicinity – didn’t even get mentioned until after the first quarter or so of the story. It’s not that I felt there was something wrong with this, I was just a little surprised by how it felt like quite a bit of the story had rolled along before this got raised. This also made me realise that a lot of the book is told from Karl’s perspective and so there was a lot to Teddy and his character that I didn’t know. This led me to a whole host of questions about Teddy and his life.

I was really pleased when Teddy and Karl began talking more personally – particularly about Teddy’s particular brand of empathy – and I honestly found it both really interesting and a good, fresh kind of perspective on the whole situation. The fact it fit perfectly into what Karl was seeking in a sexual partner was slightly too coincidental, but I could happily and easily overlook this for the fact there was so much about the situation that I’d never read about before. There are two previous books in this same world – but this read as very much a stand-alone style of book – there was no mention of the four previous main characters and while it’s set in the same world I strongly feel this story can be picked up and read without anything being read prior by this author.

I think this was a great story full of steamy hot BDSM sex, two very interesting characters and a fresh twist on the whole set-up of their situation. There were enough differences from a more traditional BDSM style book that I found it refreshing and it kept my attention happily all through it. I’d happily recommend this book to readers and am eagerly awaiting the next one which will hopefully come out soon.

Ilias is shocked when he discovers Terry – his boyfriend of four months – is an utter douche. Hurt and a little burned by the experience, Ilias focuses on his job as a police officer. When he meets Dr. Torres on the job, Ilias is pleasantly surprised by how the good doctor smells, and Ilias’ inner bear is more pleased that Dr Torres appears to be a shifter too. Despite a bit of initial clumsiness, can Ilias and Henry find their way together?

I found this to be a sweet and almost endearing story. I thought Henry and his silly/funny jokes were adorable and Ilias was also a strong but still sweet character. These two guys also contrasted very well with Terry – who was a borderline abusive, self-centered jerk and I was impressed that the author managed to walk a very fine line. Terry was a realistic character and not a cartoon-like villain but still clearly a nasty piece of work and a good source of conflict for the story.

I loved watching Henry and Ilias begin to date, I just found it so heart-warming and sweet. This is definitely the sort of story that I’d recommend to readers unsure about M/M romances, as there’s tons of emotion and a realistic connection between the two men. Add in some corny jokes and a goofiness on the part of both men and this made the whole experience a great story to my mind. I found the sex to be hot and intense – definitely explicit and erotic, but nothing that I would consider envelope-pushing for an erotic-romance reader.

While the sub-plot (both paranormal and drug-related) moved quite slowly through he first half of the book I was really pleased when it got moving in the latter half of the story. I completely understood the author setting up the romance between Henry and Ilias first, but it did make the end of the story feel like a lot of plot was crammed in. I have to be honest though, I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it quite interesting. I’d have loved to see more of it in the first part of the story, too and balanced a little better throughout the story.

With great characters, a solid plot and loads of romance and sex this was an interesting story that kept and held my attention all the way throughout. I think it’s a great story and will happily try another book by this author.

Mike Gauliet could be a world-class swimmer if he took better care of himself. He’s too good to let go, so his team coach calls in a private trainer, up-and-coming hardass Jessy Turner. Jessy locks Mike down, putting him on a strict regimen of diet and exercise that Mike resents until he realizes the changes are making him a better swimmer.

Jessy finds Mike irresistible but keeps his distance and remains professional, focusing all his attention on what’s best for Mike and his career. The two of them resist their attraction to each other for as long as they can, but eventually they have to give in to the heat between them.

When things go wrong, though, can they—and their sports careers—survive the strain?

Jessy can’t say no when he’s offered the chance to coach one-on-one with Mike, 24/7. The kid is a natural with a huge amount of raw talent and Jessy is eager to both coach and shape the awesome amount of potential Mike has. Mike’s pretty easy going, all he wants to do is swim and win. But with Jessy spending every moment watching him – really watching Mike – soon their feelings both begin to run deeper than either of them expected.

I really enjoyed this longer length story. I loved how the author managed to slowly, slowly build the characters up and paint such a vibrant, interesting picture. Sure, the story revolved around Mike’s swimming and Jessy coaching him, but with such a slow progress through the story I really felt a part of it and loved seeing it all unfold at an intricate pace. I loved getting to know Mike and see where Jessy’s coaching tactics and thoughts came from. I enjoyed watching the two men build up a schedule and start to really work together and learn deeply about each other.

And as they spent more time together and became more emotionally attached it was easy logic that their feelings would deepen and become more romantic. The slow, gradual progress was delightful and I really enjoyed the pacing for all the small nuances that the author allowed for. It helped really sell not just the relationship but also made the whole situation feel so much more emotional to me. In my eyes, this wasn’t two men falling in lust and having some delicious sex – this was two smart, committed men learning how to share their lives, reach for their joined goals and dreams and mesh their whole world together. It was interesting, gripping and deeply emotional. Hot as hell, too. The sex had some tones of BDSM (cuffs, cock rings, plugs etc) and while there was some breath play it was completely consensual and (in my opinion) very well written.

Obviously sport – swimming and coaching – was front and centre for a lot of the story, but I was really pleased it never felt like it was taking over the plot. Jessy and Mike and their relationship was definitely central to the whole story, but swimming was the entire world for both men, so I felt the author did a really good job balancing these two aspects. I feel romance readers who aren’t necessarily keen on sports will still really enjoy this story. Sure, some of the races and sport-speak might get skimmed over when read, but I was pleased and grateful that this wasn’t a story where the sport overtook the characters and relationship.

An emotional, happy and wonderfully sexy story – I’d happily recommend this book to any M/M readers.
