She wants the man as much as her body craves the vampire! Unfortunately, Damien’s will is stronger than her attempts at seduction, and it isn’t until she’s attacked by rogues and Damien brings her to his home for protection that she gets the chance to finally become his in every way.

Finding a new author is like finding buried treasure. I thought this was a amazing read, even though when I picked it I had no clue what I’d be reading, really. It didn’t have a cliff hanger nor does it seem like it will be a “series” book. Instead, the author very cleverly wove three stories into one read. They are separate stories but by the end they all mesh together to make one well developed novel. That was just one thing that pulled me in and kept me there.

I met three women in the same situation but who handle themselves differently. Abby, Grace and Cat are human women and mates to vampires. Abby is a ward who’s been around vamps most of her life and is all grown up now, Grace is somewhat naïve and a sheltered homebody and Catlin is a bar owner. The brethren are a group of male vampires who watch over the city and are destined to be mated. The way the group of men are described almost reminded me of another series. The book lost a bit of its originality with that but it was the only drawback. There was plenty to keep me reading beyond that similarity.

What awesome play with words, as sexy alpha males try to contend with their equally stubborn human mates. The wise cracking, the teasing among the characters was a good fit, almost as if I could close my eyes and see the story playing out. There was one wee twist that threw me for a second, then I completely agreed. There is a bit of danger as a old nemesis the brethren thought dead shows herself. The hot scenes were all wow, yep, I needed to fan my face. There was some hints of BDSM but not much mostly the alpha male tendencies. Oh, I just fell in love with Tasha and Micah.  The ending was surprising, but HEA. I enjoyed it and it listed as a favorite. Enjoy!

I can never get enough of the true love that is found in this series. Heather Rainier does a wonderful job of keeping these books fresh and pulling the reader into the wonderful world that she has created. Hank and Travis are great men. The two fight for and with Veronica. Never letting her forget how they feel and that so many others care for her as well. I loved seeing Veronica come out of her shell and become the woman she was always meant to be. The love that the three share shines brightly right from the start and watching them work through everything made for a great read.

I loved seeing everyone at the ranch and in Divine rally around Veronica when she needed the help and I have to say that Kemp and Duke stole the scenes that they were in for me. I loved Kemp and his duct tape. I also enjoyed visiting with many of the characters from previous books. It is nice to see everyone interacting and still being part of the stories making this reader feel as if I were visiting with good friends and family with each story. This book works fine as a stand-alone but there are quite a few reoccurring characters. Readers who look for books with strong alpha men and women who find strength in love and friendships should read this book.

Can these three finally overcome the hurt of their past or will they succumb to it?

Will Emma finally get what she always wanted by claiming her temporary men?

Grace Ryles continues her Grand Oak Springs series with Claiming Her Temporary Men. This book is a scorching hot menage story. I greatly enjoyed it from beginning to end.

As far as the plot goes it was a strong one. It had a great set-up. Chase and Ryder are two brothers who want to settle down with one woman to share. But they’ve been hurt before and aren’t looking to repeat past mistakes. Then into their lives comes sweet submissive Emma and she is exactly the kind of woman they need. They propose a month long fling of sexy times between the three of them. They have an instant attraction so Emma agrees to a no strings fling with the two sexy ranchers. Needless to say that it’s only a game for a little while before deeper feelings are involved for all three lovers. Too bad for them, but good for the reader, there is quite a bit of personal conflict there. A brooding Ryder held onto his reservations about the relationship, while Emma struggled with it on a different level. On the other hand, Chase was more than ready which caused some problems with Ryder. However, the most intense conflict came from the bit of suspense that Ryles threw in for good measure. There you have it ….. Emma is in danger and that’s where things got really interesting.

I will say that the characters had great chemistry. The pages were full of sexy loving that rivalled any I’ve been reading lately. I appreciated that since it’s usually what I’m looking for when picking up a menage story. This one featured some bold BDSM elements. There are plenty of M/F/M scenes, and other treats like anal, spanking and flogging. Still, the bones of the story was the romance part as the relationship turned from instant lust to lasting love.

Another important thing was the strong plot. It was well written, in fact, everything was perfect to me. That includes the lenth of the book, it’s substantial enough, with characters that are fleshed out to let the reader get involved with them and the story. It was fast paced with an easy flow. Lastly, It was an emotional story. I loved these three but they had some serious baggage, and that made the story a more compelling read.

To put it simply, this was a great read for me. I enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next one in the series.

A woman on the run, disguised as a man and working at waste disposal, meets two gorgeous men, twins in fact, who abduct her. Add to that peculiar beginning a couple of panthers, and you’ve got one intriguing paranormal ménage in your hands.

Since this part of an established series, Australian Shifters, there’s an existing paranormal setting, and the author can simply implant a story in it without going into too much detail. I had not read the previous books, and therefore was a bit lost in this strange world of Black Town shifters and their mates. Because of that, even though this works as a standalone, I suggest you start the series from the beginning. Might clarify things. Since this is book 3, you’ll have more adventures to read about.

The female protagonist, Juniper, or Jo as her male persona is called, is an annoyingly typical heroine: She has self-esteem and ugliness issues which the heroes, of course, alleviate with wild sex. She’s been through a lot, but honestly, this conventional image of a woman in need of rescue is tiresome, clichéd, and anti-feminist. Nonetheless, considering how alive and frequently used this plot device is in the romance and erotic romance genres suggests, there’s clearly something fundamental and instinctive to it. Besides, I kind of liked Juniper, even with all her vulnerabilities. Her character redeemed her image as a helpless victim the moment she kicked one of the abducting heroes in the groin and took off like a cheetah. Not bad at all!

The heroes, Hamish and Andy. What can one say but they’re animalistic, virile, sexy hunks who any woman would be proud, thrilled, and aroused to call her own. Yes, kidnapping a woman simply because they want her is a no-no, giving off creepy sexual predator vibes. But their protective instincts and gentleness let them get away with it. They also have distinctly different personalities. Andy is more action-oriented and wicked, while Hamish is more controlled and intellectual. And toward the end there was a line of internal monologue delivered by Juniper that made me laugh out loud. You’ll know it when you see it.

The basic plot is not very original either, with predestined mates, a monster from the past who has a serious beef with the heroine (he was a truly despicable character), and ménage sex and shifter claiming that solves everything. Also, there are quite a few editing snafus in the text, with  wrong word use of things like your and you’re, which are not the same. Plus, there is a heck of a lot of comma weirdness, making the sentences sometimes so unreadable you have to go over them several times. This naturally takes the reader out of the story and back to awareness of reading a book.

We don’t really get to know Juniper as a person with dreams of her own which is a shame because it perpetuates the image that women’s sole goal in life is to act girly, fall in love, have phenomenal sex, get married, have a brood of kids, and settle down to do that, and nothing else. That strikes me, an educated woman with a career, as outdated. Still, it can very well be the dream for some women, and Juniper seems to be among them. When she discovers her inner strength in a safe environment, she blossoms. Black Town welcomes her with open arms, which was nice, adding a we-make-our-own-family dimension to the story.

Now that we got the negative out of the way, the story has a certain lure to it. Even though I felt like I’d read the story before, I still liked it. The continuous sensual feel, the slow revelations of what is happening behind the scenes, the threat of going mad without a mate, and all that action made me turn pages in a rush to find out more. In fact, this tale is full of action. The plot is fast-paced, while the danger gathers at the end, when Juniper is in mortal jeopardy, and her panther men get the chance to be heroic and powerful.

Australia is not a setting I’ve read much about, only a handful of romance books over the years. I found the contrast between city and country, day and night, shack and mansion quite thrilling, especially because of the Australian background. It added some spice to the tale, I admit. The paranormal setting I assume was explained in detail in the first book of the series. I personally would have liked to know more about Black Town which seemed like a quaint little town, with a huge majority of feline shifters. This setting definitely has its own charm.

All in all, this is a sensual story with suspense and romance in balanced quantities. Recommended for all fans of paranormal shifter fans and ménage admirers. You won’t go amiss with this one.

The demons escaped by stowing away on a miner heading for Ranin Seven. The remote moon, rich in the duranium essential hyper-light travel provides the brothers with a power base to bring their enemy to his knees.

After capturing an imperial they have a new weapon–one of the emperor’s special pets, but a d’skeku assassin is a dangerous blade to wield. She might give them the vital edge they need to win or she might destroy their untested Pan-Galactic Alliance.

It’s the epitome of a “do or die” situation when her Emperor sends Zaynah on a mission, and she thinks she has a better chance of dying then completing it.

The subject of warriors and demons could have been dark and deeply intense but this story came off as more cute and sweet. What’s a girl to do when she finds out she’s not what she appears to be? And what a way to find out!

Zaynah was trained from birth to be a royal guard, it’s all she knows. But she has never felt like she was part of the rest of the guard. Something was missing or different.

Gun and Diablo are fire demon brothers on a mission to bring down the tyrant responsible for killing most of the other demon kind. All their glorified plans are put a risk by one slip of a girl…seemingly a human but apparently not. An enemy… they won’t know just yet, because her not so graceful landing on the planet has left her without her memories. She doesn’t remember who she is or why she was sent. The one thing she does know, is these guys smell amazing! Readers who like the whole “fated mate” concept will enjoy this twist.

Things will get a bit hairy for all three of them. Zaynah will have to come to grips with her transition and she doesn’t have a lot of time. Will her mind stay foggy? Will she remember in time to be of help or be the one they will have to fight against?

It’s a good story when I’m anticipating the author’s next move and actively looking for answers to specific questions that weren’t wrapped up here. The story captured my attention and held it to the end.

I found this book fun and entertaining, both the story and the characters. Even the length of the story was good. It’s a nice, quick read and partly because it flows well. I’ll be looking forward to reading more from this writer.

What would you do if the man you loved had a double?

That’s the challenge Elyse faces when a flying carpet lands her and her new djinn lover in the glorious city he calls home. Cade’s people need help recovering from a curse, but this isn’t the only problem they’ll have to fix. Cade’s trip to Elyse’s world created a duplicate of himself, a not-quite carbon copy who firmly believes he’s Cade’s superior.

The most fascinating aspect of this second story of the Djinn is the argument of nature versus nurture, of exploring how experiences in life shape a person and change them from who they are to who they could be. I realize the focus of The Double is on the continued romance between, Elyse and Cade, and now, Arcadius, but I couldn’t stop being fascinated by the differences and similarities between the two men who used to be one man.

The crux of Elyse’s relationship with Cade is trying to resist being interested in Arcadius too. Personally, I couldn’t see how she could realistically expect to be unaffected by the man. He is as Cade was when she first met him. There was something about him then, so Arcadius is like a condensed, purer form of Cade’s former self. Sound confusing? Guess that means this isn’t a standalone read. A reader really needs to read the first book to understand not only what I’m talking about in this review but to also understand the ramifications of the guy with the black tattoos. Very cool stuff.

Joseph’s character, although secondary, is a strong and pivotal plot stirrer. He isn’t what he used to be but he’s much, much better in some aspects. That creates new problems for him that only in this book was I able to understand just what is now at stake for him. It will be very interesting to see what happens next. His sub-story is just as fascinating and complex as the primary plot. And yet, he compliments Elyse and Cade extremely well.

The problem of one or two men to the one woman notwithstanding, The Double also provides a reader with a devious villain with a suspenseful plot that is nasty in nature. In the process of the heroine and heroes trying to solve the mystery before more people die, I learned some more facts about Elyse’s childhood. That cousin of hers was a harridan in the making, a dastardly twisted and self-centered little snot even back then who only got worse as she grew up. How much of that was nature and how much was nurture? With the father she had I’m of the mind that she had the worst of both and, I’m thinking she was doomed to be a prideful, evil, depraved woman. I think she got what she deserved but only time and Ms. Holly knows for sure.

As for the sex in this book, Ms. Holly pulled out all the stops and let the lust fly. Erotic romance readers should be plenty satisfied with the scope, the titillating complexity and the amount of sexy encounters between Elyse, Cade and eventually Arcadius too. There are emotional landmines to navigate, some of which are very unique to this particular book because of the split man/men. It’s a fascinating scenario but plenty hot too.

I remember the cliff hanger from the first book with regards to Elyse’s dad. I’m glad that was explored and explained in this novel. I liked his character. I also find interesting the author’s twisting of faith and religion between a fantasy world and the contemporary world. A few sentences in this tale were a bit hard for me to swallow, but it is a fantasy and fiction so I can’t begrudge an author exploring alternative scenarios to fit her fantastical characters.

Yasmin and Balu were introduced in this tale and they added to the plot conflict on various levels. I suspect that readers will see more of them in a future story. As for this novel, the happy ever after for Elyse and her men is getting closer. There were definite steps taken to make me believe it will happen soon, but Ms. Holly is a masterful storyteller so I’ll wait and see what happens next. There are still some missing people that have to be accounted for, one of which is the insane female who caused the entire ruckus in the first place. This series is addictive.

The Double should not be missed by anyone who read the first book, The Guardian. If fans thought that one was exciting, this one bumped it up a notch. There is a pivotal scene with a special book that almost turns the tide in a different and expected direction. I was biting my nails at that part. But Ms. Holly knows her readers and I am thrilled she chose what she did as the outcome. I’m a happy reader. I would definitely recommend this novel to everyone who read The Guardian but caution new readers – there will be parts that won’t make sense unless the first book is read. It’s worth checking out so they can get the full WOW factor of this one.

Fortune Cookies Are Better In Bed: Evan is unpacking the Chinese takeout he’s about to share with his work and life partner, John. Dealing every day with the “weird” – vampires, werewolves and the like – makes it difficult to explain things like budget expenditures to the Powers That Be. Still, the two men enjoy their work and wouldn’t have it any other way. What initially starts out as a bit of playful, dominating fun turns into a potentially embarrassing scenario as both men are taken by surprise.

Fun and lighthearted, I found this to be a laugh-out-loud funny story with a sexy, deeply satisfying ending.

Chinese Fire Drill: John and Evan are late picking up their third lover – Gabrielle. Stuck in traffic, Evan and John start by celebrating the end of a long week with a bang. When Gabrielle gets into it, heat explodes between them all.

A smoking hot read that will definitely have me distracted next time I’m stuck in traffic!

Naughty: Mandatory Fun: At a schmoozing party full of various government agencies, Gabrielle, John and Evan try to inject a bit of fun into the annual affair. Dodging frosty ex-lovers and networking with colleagues, it’s a party with many undercurrents – most of the them intriguingly sexy. Finishing the night with Brie, the foursome thoroughly enjoy their night of “Mandatory Fun”.

This is a great collection of seriously sexy stories. Due to the short length I found myself sometimes falling behind, trying to catch up to the various changes in dynamic between the relationships. I’d have enjoyed a little more depth to some of the explanations of the boundaries and settings of John and Evan’s relationship, but this didn’t lessen my enjoyment of their antics. While John and Evan are the main pairing, they have a committed threesome with Gabrielle and all three of them are open to the other possibilities.

Smoking hot, this is a fun, humorous group of stories that I really enjoyed. Recommended.

Deep inside, however, Shelly knows she needs to change a lot more than just her physical appearance.

After a year licking his wounds over a broken romance, Christian is through. He’s been quietly lusting after Shelly at work, and he’s not wasting any more time. There’s something about her that makes him believe she’s the one. Unfortunately, Shelly’s kickboxing instructor, Lance—Christian’s best friend—has set his sights on the sweet blonde as well.

Instead of pistols at dawn, the two friends come up with a deliciously erotic answer to their shared dilemma—if the shy beauty will accept their racy proposal.

This is an absolutely amazing story. Before I elaborate further I would really like to say it one more time: Amazing story. Although it is relatively short it is perfectly written, without loose ends, everything here is in its place.

Never Been Kissed is story about Shelly MacIsaac and her relationship with two wonderful, but a bit different, men. One is, her colleague and IT expert, Christian and the other is her trainer, kickboxing instructor and Christian’s friend, Lance. The relationship between three of them started as interesting friendship only to turn into intimate sexual relationship. But what makes this story different from so many erotic romances that I read is that before they became intimate they fell in love. Their love is palpable, as well as erotic/ sexual tension between the three of them. And that is what makes this story so sensual and so beautiful.

Everything in Never Been Kissed is amazing. The characters are equally developed. Each one of them has its own character arch and each realized something by the end of the story, something that makes him/ her a better person. The relationship between three of them is also amazingly written, it goes step by step, there is no rush, and what is the most important, all the sex scenes are an integral part of this threesome relationship because through them the author is also showing the progress of this interesting relationship. Sex scenes are highly sensual, magnificently written and, oh, so hot.

I also like the positive message of this story; and that is love your body and enjoy sex with the partner(s) you love.

Reading Never Been Kissed was an amazing experience for me. I highly recommend this story.

She’s running on empty…and he’s ready to fill her up.

Hot Rods, Book 5

After watching his mother crumble in the face of heartbreak, Holden believes monogamy is bull. New week, new woman, that’s just how he rolls. Too bad one taste of Sabra Harp leaves him salivating for more.
We get them checked by frankkrauseautomotive.com viagra pfizer a veterinarian regularly and dutifully give them the required medications – be it to lower SHBGs, increase free T, or what have you – is adequate to impact body composition and or strength. Sabra was ready for the climb from local news reporter to national anchor—before her pursuit of a story almost destroyed the Hot Rods, whose friendship she has admired from afar. Too bad they all hate her guts. That’s okay, she despises what she’s become too…enough that she’s just told her boss where to stick it.

When Holden drives a drunken Sabra home and puts her to bed, her blatant invitation almost has him following her between the sheets. She’s willing to let him take charge in bed, friends included—and he’s willing to listen to her amazing business proposition, which could rocket the Hot Rods to stardom.

Yet as his friends have paired off, Holden realizes that to participate in their polyamorous games without becoming a third wheel, he needs Sabra. And she needs him…oh, how she needs him.

Swinger Style is the latest in Jayne Rylon’s Hot Rods series, and once again it is a hot and sexy ride with these guys and gals in the garage. This world never fails to intrigue me, and I love the way Ms. Rylon makes her ‘family of the heart’ so real and compelling. Each character brings something unique to the mix, and each new addition to the ‘family’ adds to the fun and the heat. I like this world, a place where folks can be themselves, and judgment is noticeably absent.

Holden is a free spirit, never staying with one woman long. Until he meets Sabra Harp, and then he is torn, wanting her, but angry at the problems she created for the Hot Rods. Sabra is ashamed of what happened as well, and determined to make it up to the tight knit group of mechanics, and just maybe, she can also make it up to Holden, a man who intrigues her in a way no one ever has. When she brings a proposal to the Hot Rods that could change their future, is a good way, at first Holden is the lone stand out in the Hot Rods, but he can’t seem to fight the feelings he has for Sabra. When he learns that she left her job as news reporter because of her belief that those higher up at her station might have been behind the ‘leak’, he reluctantly listens to her plans for the team. He also discovers how much he really likes her, and is delighted when the feeling is mutual. Now, if he can just learn whether she will fit into the polyamorous lifestyle of the Hot Rods, or is interested in moving forward toward a relationship with him. Can Holden overcome his lifelong fear of closeness to make a life with Sabra and the Hot Rods? Is Sabra ready to embrace the wild and loving Hot Rods lifestyle, with all that it promises? Can this group find a way to outwit the station bosses and help Sabra put her show on the air for all to see?

Sabra Hart is a strong and determined woman, and when she realizes the damage that her story inadvertently caused, she wants to make things right with those she harmed. When she realizes that those in charge at the station went against the guidelines, she quit rather than condone what they did. I like her strength of character, and she has an adventurous side that is willing to accept new challenges. Especially if those challenges include spending time with Holden. She felt the connection, and hopes he will accept the apology she offers for what happened.

Holden grew up in the center that Eli’s dad and mom started, part of the Hot Rod family of troubled and abandoned children. He has always felt like part of the group, but as each of the Hot Rods found that special person, he thinks he doesn’t fit the same anymore, and hates that he has become more of an observer than a participant. When he realizes Sabra is more than just a quick fling, he slowly brings her into their world, hoping for the best. I liked watching Holden show his romantic side with her, and his ability to let go of his past to face a future filled with possibilities.

Sabra and Holden have fantastic chemistry, and the progression of their relationship is fast and furious. Sabra, with her background in yoga, brings a whole new definition to going with the flow. I enjoyed the highs and the lows in this one, and liked that the ‘big boss’ at the station was not able to keep the project down in spite of his efforts. There is a brief visit with the Crew from the Powertools series, and it was great catching up with them as well. There are some tearful moments, some giggle producing ones and there is a very suspenseful cliff hanger of an ending to this one. If you like your passion off the charts, with lots of bodies in lots of combinations, this is right up your alley. But bring ice and tissues, both will be needed.

Three people. One erotic fantasy. And a twentieth wedding anniversary like no other.

Pothos is one of the erotes and an aspect of Eros, the ancient Greek god of love, and this couple’s distinctive yearning has called to him. By the power of the erotes he intends to rekindle the flame of Jake and Jeannie’s passion in a night of desire that will be the ultimate platinum anniversary gift.

And when the gods of love decide your marriage needs a boost, they never do it by halves.

How many couples through the years fall into the trap of complacency with one another? Too many, and it’s really no one’s fault, it is what it is.

What if there were an entity out there listening, ready to help a couple in need, a couple who have lost their passion but not their love? Jennie seemed to conjure her fantasy right from the book she was reading. Pothos was the very meaning of sexual power and passion. He oozed it. Moreover, he was going to help Jake and Jennie get back what they’ve lost.

I really liked this book, it was easy to follow and get caught up in. The emotions were palpable and readers will have a hard time not finding Jennie at the middle of a pleasurable epicenter.

The story is very easy to identify with. Jake and Jennie are over worked and not taking time out for each other as a couple. Jennie tends to fantasize because in a dream you don’t need to think about repercussions or guilt.

This is a short read and it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed how the writer had the lead female reading when she started fantasizing. I’ve often wondered how many readers, including myself, substitute our name in for that of the leading ladies we read about.

There is a lot of love between Jennie and Jake. Intense, passionate, complete. Even Pothos felt emotions that he hadn’t felt in all his years. I’d love the chance to read the other books in this series. It can be a stand- alone and I liked that it wasn’t a cliffhanger. I enjoyed it and hope others who look for a bit of the mythical will also.
