His heart wasn’t in it… Dom Niles Malloy has locked his favourite flogger in a drawer and has all-but left the lifestyle, but then Brandy Hess shatters his solitude and shakes up his life, challenging him to fully live again.

What you see isn’t what you get…

Though he was once a respected and well-known Dom, Niles Malloy rarely attends functions at the Den, and he has no interest in ever having another permanent relationship. He satisfies his occasional desire for kink by playing with subs who have no expectations.

Professional sub Brandy Hess has known Master Niles for years, and when he invites her to play with him, she accepts. But she’s unprepared for the reaction she has to his intense brand of play. In their shared, emotionally intimate moments she sees the weariness in his features, and she has a dangerous and compelling urge to know him better.

To catalyze internally, the process relies on protein p53. usa cialis He talked about how much more pleasant his female was with his performance. pharma-bi.com levitra samples cheapest sildenafil This is widely used to treat impotency in erection process. He’s much, much deeper than she imagined, and she soon realises he’s everything she wants and doesn’t need in a man.

As she surrenders to him a second time, Brandy wonders if she’s lost her sense of self-preservation. She’s attracted to an enigma, a man with an edge, someone as remote as he is demanding, and her life will never be the same…

As another installment in the Mastered series, like all others, For the Sub can be read as a standalone. Just like previous books in the series, this is another superb novel that hooked me from page one.

After the death of his wife, Master Niles is still not himself. Sure, he’s still part of the scene but his heart is not into it, until he meets Brandy. I liked Master Niles from page one. He’s intelligent, seductive, good looking and of course, dominant. However, his dominance is a little different. He doesn’t expect the sub to act like a perfect model, he wants more than just a pleasing answer, he wants honesty and truth in his encounters and he gets that from Brandy. As an added bonus, Niles knows how to treat animals (I think I sighed loudly more than once when he was interacting with Brandy’s pets).

Though there would be no story without Master Niles, I believe the star of the show is Brandy. She’s not what one would usually expect to see in a submissive (and I’m not the only one to think so, Niles thinks at one point: “She straddled him and tugged his T-shirt from his jeans. Eleanor would have never been so bold. At the Den, neither would Brandy. But here, her natural personality shone. He liked it—her—more and more.”).

Brandy’s personality is something I loved about this story. She is a character that has a life beyond BDSM. She has a budding business, knows all about tomatoes and has pets. A heroine with a soft heart, Brandy was not only unusual in that sense; she was also experienced in the scene. Unlike other novels in which the woman wants to experiment with BDSM or has submissive tendencies and is just waiting for the right Dom to appear, Brandy was a professional submissive that knew what she wanted and how she wanted it at all times. She was the one in control. She was more than a submissive. She was her own person outside of the bedroom and inside; and even in the sizzling hot sex scenes, I could see that degree of control that every submissive has over his or her Dom. Of course, Niles saw it too, and the bond that grows between them at every passing page goes beyond the sex.

It is worth mentioning, that unlike previous books in the Mastered series, I felt that there was no explicit talking through everything occurring in the BDSM scene. Perhaps, because none of the characters were new to it or because Cartwright predicted that readers might already know the basics, we were dunked right into the world of Dominance and submission. Albeit, I found the kinkiness in this story is of a much lesser degree than others in the series. For the Sub was a sweeter novel (yet still very erotic).

Though the ending seemed a little rushed, this is another great read by Sierra Cartwright. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series (finally, Damien’s story is coming)!

He commands her body…but can he win her heart?

Who knew one little disc could cause so much trouble? Certainly not Rena, until the disc in question—the one in which she lives out every sexual fantasy she’s ever had, including a few inspired by her crush, Captain Drogan Carter—falls into the wrong hands. Drogan’s. Rena is desperate to get it back—she can’t let him know all her darkest, dirtiest secrets…

When Drogan finds the disc and watches the very private contents, his first feeling is guilt. But that guilt soon turns to a raw, sexual need to have the wanton, carefree Rena in his bed. He knows she’ll never come to him willingly, but once he gets her, he’ll have plenty of time to win her over, and to prove to her that reality can be so much better than fantasy. But first he needs a plan, a way to get her right where he wants her: at his command.

This story delves into what lengths people will go to just to scratch an itch that just won’t go away. Neither knows what the other feels or thinks so they go round and round with fantasies and what-ifs but they never actually talk to each other about how they feel. The explosion was quite fun to watch unfold.

There is a very solid reason why they can’t reveal the truth. Both Drogan and Rena are sticklers for the rules and regulations of their jobs. That causes no end of issues. They both respect each other, and are very very careful not to do or say anything that might be misconstrued. Because they are so good at what they do, neither of them knows that the other feels the same way. The author used their circumstances to effectively drive up the sexual tension to amazing levels. The way Ms. Illyria uses her imagination is so hot, she should have a neon warning sign somewhere over her head in a thought bubble with a caution statement about spontaneous combustion.

This author knows her way around writing a sex scene and in At Drogan’s Command, a reader has plenty of opportunities to enjoy the wishes and fantasies of both Drogan and Rena. Although it’s mentioned and hinted about more than two people having fun, the actual action remains just with the two of them. That was fine for me.

As well written and numerous as the physical scenes are, and most erotic romance readers will gobble up this book, I prefer more actual hero to heroine sex versus wishful thinking. Well, in Rena’s case, and this being a science fiction erotic fantasy, she has more than imagination to work with, which was quite interesting. I just felt those particular types of scenes rob the characters of emotional growth when there’s more alone time satisfaction versus a man and a woman actually doing the touching and exploring of each other. I sort of wished more time was actually spent with them together in reality. As it was, when they did finally reveal all and come together, the author wasted no time in making sure a reader was satisfied with their ultimate joining. The quality of writing is never in question.

There weren’t too many secondary characters of note except Jason. He was a plot instigator. The dialogue got the job done and it was through the characters internal dialogue that I was provided with most of the insight I gleaned about the main characters’ feelings for themselves and their circumstances.

On the whole, At Drogan’s Command is a sexy yarn that delivers a sensual tale with a satisfying happy ever after. If a reader is looking for a story that sizzles and pops, this book has the scenes to provide it. It’s light on drama but big on fun.

Rose Murphy is ready to break free from her brother’s control. She’s ready to open her own ballet studio. And most of all, she’s ready to live without fear. So when she sees her brother’s lawyer, the man she’s lusted after for years, she gives in to her body’s desires.

It’s not all about the sex, though the sex definitely features — all hot and sweaty — throughout. But, fact is, Drew is a gentleman too and has a romantic heart and there are obstacles to their relationship that mean they have to make the most of long looks, stolen touches and more. It’s an interesting mix of sexual tension and sex.

I fell madly in love with Drew. No wonder Rose is willing to do whatever necessary to keep the man in her life. I struggled to like her brother, Philip, at first and that dampened my enjoyment in the beginning. He’s a mobster of sorts and overly protective to the point of near obsession. I grew to understand his concern — Rose has a pretty traumatic past — but putting someone in a bubble to protect them is no life at all.

Thankfully, Drew understands this along with all the other oddities of her life. He’s truly the absolute perfect man for her. I understand this is part of a series, but I never felt as if I was missing a thing.

There’s drama galore, and action (remember, Philip’s involved in some shady doings), danger and love. Ms. Lin is truly talented and manages to balance it all well so you never feel overwhelmed by any one aspect of the story.

Well written, well plotted with real, flawed, and truly amazing characters, Tempting Fate was a romantic read that got the blood pumping. Sexy and sweet in equal amounts, I really did enjoy it and recommend it to fans of erotic romance that touches the heart.

He can’t say he wasn’t warned…

From the moment he’s cautioned to avoid the submissive who snares his attention, Dom Michael Dayton is intrigued. With her tight dress, flowing hair and honest dialogue, what could be more perfect than a few hours together?

Sydney Wallace fears only one thing—being tied down. She lives for adventure and fun, including the occasional BDSM party. By always scening with different Doms, she avoids emotional entanglements that might complicate her life. A man who owns a ranch and has roots deep into the soil is definitely not the kind of Dom she wants to play with.

Sydney has never met anyone as complex as Master Michael Dayton. From the moment he issues his first command, she knows he’s different. He watches her reactions, sees what she wants, and unselfishly gives her what she needs. Getting involved with a man like him would be the biggest risk of her life, crossing over all of lines she’s drawn to protect her way of life.

After the first night together, Michael realises he should have heeded the warning. But it may already be too late…

A while back I had the chance to review With this Collar by Sierra Cartwright and I loved it so much that when I got the chance to read Over The Line, I jumped on the opportunity. I wasn’t in the least disappointed.

Over The Line is book 3 in the Mastered series, but like the other two books in the series it can be read as a standalone. It is in the Den, the place run by Master Damien where subs and Doms get together, where we meet Master Michael and the infamous brat, Sydney.

Master Michael is dreamy. Cowboys are not usually my thing, but for him, I’d gladly make an exception. He’s a gentleman and at the same time a dominant alpha that knows what he wants and how to get it. He’s complex, but he’s also caring, kind, compassionate and patient. He can cook, he can lasso, and though he might not have a dog, he has a lovable goat, Chewie. He wormed his way into my heart.

Sydney is a wild girl. Master Michael might be complex, but she’s complicated. As a matter a fact, Master Michael is warned to keep away from her. He ignores the warning and with him I was pleased to discover an elaborate character in Sydney. She might be a sub with her Master, but she’s passionate, independent and adventurous. She also knows what she wants, and that is where the conflict arouses. After a previous bad experience, she’s hesitant to let anyone into her heart, and even less so, if he’s a Dom that could potentially control her life like her ex had.

With a raging chemistry from the beginning, both sexual and verbal (their constant sparing brought more than one grin to my face), the characters begin playing tug –a-war. As emotions and feelings become involved, each of them tries to bring the other into their territory, both of them unwilling to compromise, until they figure out how to work things and eventually find their HEA.

Meanwhile, while they agree to disagree, the sex scenes Ms. Cartwright depicts are beyond scorching. Sucked into the BDSM lifestyle by her words, I once again loved the way she had of explaining certain things while making them erotic. One of the things I particularly enjoyed in this book is that it explored heavier aspects of sadomasochism. As Sydney says: “The harder the better. As you’re probably gathering, I find it easier to get off when there’s erotic pain involved.”

The book was wonderful and I read it in one sitting, including the preview of the promising next installment, In His Cuffs, which I will be looking forward too.

Males, who are unable viagra generic discount to gain harder and fuller erection for enjoying intense sexual pleasure with her. Fire in the Smokies is the second book in the Durham Wolves series from author Becca Jameson. This was a good read, entertaining and fun, and a decent addition to this exciting shifter series.

For newcomers to the series, it is set in the Great Smoky Mountains, where the three hunky Durham brothers, who happen to be wolf shifters, breed thoroughbred horses and help out the local sheriff with an occasional rescue mission. The brothers are well known for their tracking abilities …. those wolf traits do come in handy from time to time. The oldest brother has already found his mate in the first book. As the story opens, Jaxon, the middle brother, will find his mate in Brianna, a female fire fighter.

Jaxon and Brianna were both very likeable and compelling characters. Jaxon was exactly the kind of alpha hero that I love to read about, deliciously sexy, dominant and possessive. I adored him in this story, the way he liked to hold his woman close was just so sweet.

I liked Brianna as the heroine. She was strong and capable, sassy and independent. Best of all, she never pulled any reckless or stupid stunts here. I hate it when the heroine acts silly, messes up or puts everyone in danger. Brianna was portrayed quite well, as someone who fought hard to earn respect in a male dominated field. Jameson did an excellent job with the back story, explaining what drove Brianna to succeed and the reasons why she could never play the damsel in distress ploy. That was great, only made me like her character even more.

The author was more than generous with the love scenes in this book. It is an erotic romance so the sex scenes are explicitly detailed, with some masturbation scenes, some light bondage, anal play and they do bring out the toys in one red hot scene. Not to mention that my man Jax is a dominant who likes to be in charge in the bedroom. Wow….the guy liked to talk dirty too.

This book isn’t just about the steamy sex though. It has a strong plot that kept me entertained from cover to cover. It had a lot of drama and personal conflict as Jaxon and Brianna butted heads about her job and her independence. Compromise inevitably led to danger as the plot took a few twists. There was some suspense as an old enemy is back, bringing danger and causing mayhem for Jax. The suspense was at times riveting, as Jax and Brianna found themselves in more than one tight spot.

Fire in the Smokies is a great paranormal read. It has a well written plot with engaging characters, it definitely had what it took to pull me into their love story. The story easily flowed, keeping the reader entertained with lots of action, drama, suspense and plenty of sexy love scenes. I suggest that intrepid readers who like their romance more on the spicy side are bound to enjoy this one. I enjoyed reading this book, and I’m happy to recommend it to other paranormal readers.

Julia Lyle will have nothing to do with domineering men, no matter how tall, dark, and sexy. But Dom Marcus Cavendish will be satisfied with nothing less than collaring the fiercely independent Julia.

Nothing could have shocked her more…

Julia Lyle is invited to her best friend’s wedding and is stunned when Lana kneels to accept her husband’s collar. When Julia starts to object, firm, relentless hands land on her shoulders. The man behind her threatens to turn her over his knee if she interrupts. She’s outraged, but there’s no doubt he’s serious.

After the ceremony, he offers her a glimpse into her friend’s lifestyle, if she’s brave enough to accept.

Master Marcus Cavendish is everything she doesn’t want in a man—dominant, self-assured and arrogant. So why can’t she resist him?

Telling herself that learning about the lifestyle will make her a better friend, Julia agrees to submit to Master Marcus, but only for the evening. Firm and unrelenting in his handling of her, he introduces her to his tawse and the pleasure/pain of a spanking delivered by a competent Dom. The experience unnerves her, making her question everything she thought she knew about relationships, and his forced orgasms leave her shattered.

No doubt the scene seduced her, and that makes her doubly determined to avoid him. She has fought hard for her freedom and vowed only to date nice men, and Master Marcus is anything but safe.

Marcus is undeterred. Julia is a natural sub. The way she responded to his touch, his voice, his punishment proved it. Now he has to convince her to yield to him, submitting to his tawse as she kneels to accept his collar.

Whatever I write, my review isn’t going to do Sierra Cartwright’s novel With this Collar justice. Well written and insanely hot, With this Collar, is the first book in the Mastered series (as a matter a fact if it didn’t say on the cover page that it was part of a series I never would have known) and kept me glued to the pages since page one.

The main character, Julia, is cast into the BDSM lifestyle when her best friend gets married to a Dom and like many people, she is filled with preconceived erroneous notions about what BDSM is. What I loved about Julia is that I could relate with her in a lot of ways. Her thoughts and internal dialogues feel real, as well as her search for “a nice guy” just because that’s the norm (and because her ex was a dominant ass).

The hero, Master Marcus is dreamy. He takes it upon himself to teach Julia how wrong she is about BDSM, and needless to say succeeds. Both sizzling and caring when he needs to be, he made me swoon and sigh along with Julia.

One of the things I liked best about this book was the way Cartwright had of explaining the BDSM lifestyle. Through Marcus and his “obsession” of talking through everything, the author not only walked Julia across different types of BDSM relationships, safe words, differences between subs and slaves but also myself as the reader. To boot, she managed to make all of that “talking” erotic and not dense or boring!

Beyond the BDSM, it is wonderful to see the romance that builds between the characters, as it does not differ in any way to any other romance. Like in any relationship, there are doubts and there is the fear to lose yourself in that love and that is clearly seen in the case of Julia. Furthermore, it is wonderful to watch the way the character’s evolve, especially Julia’s growth.

I’m definitely looking forward to the next installment in this Mastered series and will be rereading With This Collar while I wait, for it is a great scorching love story well worth reading at any time.

From the legendary times of the Victorian Age to the rugged reaches of outer space, the romance novels have done nothing to spark Patricia’s want and hope of finding that one special man to call her own. She’s knee-deep into her thirties, near depression, and drowning her sorrows in pints of premium ice cream. When she falls for a waiter named Matt in her favorite restaurant, her insecurities do their best to thwart her plans of true love. It isn’t until she picks up one last romance novel that she realizes life cannot be lived within the ink splattered pages of an author’s fantasies. She has one chance to set her life straight and snatch the one man who gets her—mind and body. Will Patricia take it?

The Romance Novel Book Club is a gem. Absolutely hilarious, I laughed from page one to the end. Kastil Eavenshade is a romance author but she manages to poke fun at everything that has to do with the genre and does it well. As the book says at one point: “The truth about the romance novels was I did love them. They mocked me in my misery, but I still cheered for that happily ever after.”

The author also laughs about life and how confusing and difficult we can make it for ourselves at times.

A study conducted by a renowned pharmaceutical company has found that the incidence of erectile dysfunction is buy viagra sale high in men who do excessive cycling. These on-line services cheap super viagra have proved to be a accessible source of acquiring driver’s permit in California. Any consideration of such medicinal treatments viagra viagra buy by your health expert, since they could not lead for desired consequences. Her lead character, Patricia, is great. She eats all she wants, drinks too much and laughs at herself, sometimes even through her tears. She is so human that along with her good moments, her pain, frustration and confusion are palpable. I felt miserable at times watching her crumble and sabotage her own happiness.

The biggest fault I found with The Romance Novel Book Club was a mistake in the hero’s height. At the beginning of the book, Patricia says: “I hovered about two inches taller than him without heels”. However, as I read on I found that she was always shorter or at least at the same height as Matt. For instance at one point it reads: “I nuzzled against his shoulder, tempted to kick off my shoes to be at his breast.”  She was wearing heels at that moment.

Another thing I found confusing was her history with The Black Room and her access to it. I had the impression she went one time without a membership card and another time she had trouble finding it when she’d just been there less than a week before.

Regardless of these mistakes, Kastil Eavenshade’s novel was a great read. The sex scenes were sizzling hot at all times with well done descriptions that made me gasp and pant. Furthermore, throughout the story I had the sensation that I was reading a contemporary novel in which real people, and not just made up characters, had the lead role.

The Romance Novel Book Club was a great book that I know I will be reading again.

Natalie may very well have met her match.

Talk about a journey into the unknown!

Natalie is tired of being boring. She wants more zest from her life. She wantss to live a little more. So what’s a girl to do? Go to the Haven, of course. Okay, so maybe I wouldn’t go to the Haven right away, but then again, I’m not Natalie. Still, her journey is interesting.

Interesting or not, I had some problems with this book. One of which is the writing. The overuse of adverbs pushed me right out of the story so many times. I walked away from this book and had a hard time picking it back up. I didn’t feel immersed in Natalie’s world, but rather like I was looking in and most of the time confused by what was going on. I didnt’ feel like I was shown the story, but rather told what was happening.

Another thing that turned me off was the words used. If this is erotica, then ‘viscous milky fluid he gave her’ seems way off. There is a lot of purple prose used. Again, for being labeled as a follow up to a certain other hot book, I didn’t get the idea this book was hot, but rather trying so hard to be hot but not quite making it.

I give Natalie props for experimentation. She wasn’t sure what she liked when she went in to the Haven. Great. Does she figure herself out? Well, you’ll have to read the book for that. No spoilers. But one thing that didn’t necesarily bother me, but might discourage other readers is her lack of protection. I get she’s trying to experiment and experience sex in different ways, but good grief. I hope all the partners were tested at least. No condom use and lots of swapping. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea. She’s also very controlling and this makes her grating on the nerves at times. I wanted to her to loosen up and even in the Haven, she still comes across as being almost too power-hungry.

There is a definite connection between Natalie and Simon, although the romance is lacking. I liked Simon and the way he took control of her. He knew the ways to push her and make her come undone without actually touching her. I enjoyed his parts of the story the most and wanted him to get a larger role. I’d also love to see what happens after the book. Having read extensively in the erotic romance and erotica genres, I’ll admit, this wasn’t my favorite story but it might work for others.

If you’re looking for a hot read that’s heavy on sex, then this might be the read for you.

One mistake is all it takes to ruin the rest of someone’s life. One stubborn best friend is all it takes to save it.

After a play scene goes bad, resulting in unexpected consequences, Reese Andrews is sure his dreams are over. Struggling with a harsh rejection from his parents and reeling from the life-altering news, Reese heads home to the one person he needs most.

Doug Hawks is excited to hear his best friend is coming to visit. When Reese shows up with all his belongings packed in his little car, Doug is both hopeful and confused. Is Reese coming home to stay…or leaving for good?

When Reese spills his news then runs, Doug takes on the challenge of convincing Reese he can still have—and deserves—a happily ever after.

Love isn’t always pretty and neat, but sometimes that’s just what you need.

Tackling the topic of love and debilitating illness is something some authors won’t try. Not Em Woods. When I read the blurb for this book, I knew I had to read the book right away. I’m glad I did. Em Woods writes in a poetic way that I couldn’t put the book down. I had to know what would happen between Reese and Doug. Had to. Woods managed to draw out emotions in me while reading that I haven’t had come up in a while. Each page I became more and more invested in these two men. I laughed, cried and wanted them to get their happily ever after.

This book might not be for everyone. It’s not a light and easy read. There are strong emotions and some serious issues dealt with in the pages. At first I pitied Reese. The guy was given a rough hand, but as the story progressed I realized I didn’t pity him as much as I rooted for him to get what he deserved. Doug. Doug isn’t a saint. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good guy, but he’s done things he regrets, but the interplay between Doug and Reese is so emotional. I loved every moment.

If you like a book that will reel you in and not let go even after the last page, then you might be looking for Holding On.
