Review: Far From Home

Far From Home
by Madeleine Urban

Enhanced

In Earth’s not-too-far future, a talented scientist stumbles over a plot to use the genetically enhanced military to declare martial law and take over the government. Dr. Ryne Siler enlists his friend, Dr. Cary Matthews, a brilliant engineer, to figure out how to stop it. When the investigation goes awry, they’re on the run, and the only thing between them and capture is a hidden cache of sleeping soldiers with enhancements of their own. Ryne and Cary are desperate, but will waking these soldiers help – or just make things worse?

Close Encounter

Space privateer Tris is just doing his job – delivering canisters to a military science vessel – when he discovers that he is transporting people infected with an engineered virus designed to exterminate the human race. In the midst of an alien attack, can the rogue pilot save patient Retter – the key to the cure? Or will he lose both humanity’s salvation and his heart?

Following the Sun

The nearly fatal crash of their spacecraft leaves Jack and Samuel stranded on a verdant planet far from civilization. Discovered and sheltered by a native tribe, the two resign themselves to new lives – lives that include a new culture, a new language, and even new love. But their new home isn’t at all what it seems, and when war and illness strike, they find out just how far from home they are.

Far From Home is another winning collection from Madeleine Urban.

“Enhanced” — Nighthawk and Brimstone are surprisingly charismatic. I expected powerful and brawny with super-charged, genetically enhanced abilities, but I got so much more. I found their individuality and complexity so appealing; Nighthawk is fun-loving and impulsive while Brimstone is brooding and focused, and they are both extremely capable and positively yummy. But their banter and playful jabs demonstrate a warm camaraderie engendered by trust forged over time and previous battles.

The pairing of these two he-men with scientists Ryne and Cary I found inspired. Most couples, who are http://respitecaresa.org/job/generalapplication/makersdate2017-9-23ver6lenskan03actlar02e-y/ viagra samples australia busy in their professional lives, tend to plan out a weekend getaway as their work-week is over to spend some quality time with their partner that help them getting emotionally attached. Short-Term Risks Due to improper acoustic coupling, you may have levitra samples respitecaresa.org skin burn and red patches. Dosage of cheapest levitra http://respitecaresa.org/staff/katrina/When recommending to you levitra or cheapest levitra, the doctor associated with the pharmacy may inform you about the duration of its effect. Working of tadalafil generic cheapest jelly : Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and Premature Ejaculation are the commonest of all. Cary and Nighthawk are a flash of passion from their first meeting, while Ryne and Brimstone are slower, more deliberate, but no less explosive. I was amazed and delighted by the intricate weaving of action and intimacy between these two couples as they struggle to defeat super bad guys to save the world.

“Close Encounter” — Tris and Retter’s romance is seemingly doomed from the start, but I melted each time Tris favors Retter with his unselfish compassion. Angelic and vulnerable, my heart went out to Retter as he longs for intimacy he thinks he can never have. The tenderness between them is stirring, and I hoped they could somehow find a happy ending in the chaos.

Rey and Mill’s coming together is as surprising to them as it was to me! Their interactions always professional, I was sure that the love story would include Tris and Retter only, but anger and aggression stemming from life-threatening stress turns to frenzied heat and Mill takes full advantage of the situation, and I was delighted to see them get together. The adventure is so astonishingly suspenseful, it gave me goose bumps as my eyes flew across the page to discover what would happen next.

“Following the Sun” — This one is a little different than the others in that our intrepid space travelers crash-land on a planet amongst a primitive yet friendly tribe. Jack is hurt in the crash and Lan’do, the healer, attends him, and I loved Lan’do’s gentle way with the larger man. I could tell that sparks would fly between them. Samuel’s awed reaction to the fierce warrior, Arl’ban’s radiant smile was my first indication that they would find their way to each other. I was captivated by the way these two couples adapt to one another, and I found the “spacers” initial restraint in showing their desire for the natives admirable, as they didn’t wish to risk offending them. When they do find their way to each other, the passion is just, WOW. The story has an intriguing “Twilight Zone” quality that hooked me at the end, giving the tale an even more riveting conclusion.

The actual sexual encounters are sparse in each of the three novellas, but the author doesn’t skimp on the emotional intimacy, which in my opinion, is the best thing about M/M erotica. Far From Home contains three thrillingly sensual sci-fi quests that shouldn’t be missed.

Review: Must Love Dogs

Must Love Dogs
by Lena Austin and Tuesday Richards

In the mid 21st century, paranormal creatures have come out of the shadows. After the plagues of 2010, the human population has been decimated, but some still scream over racial purity — and not just among the humans.

Roni Engelmann is a were-dog. Talk about your interracial relationship! Not only is she not a pure werewolf, but she’s a crossbreed Chuskie — offspring of a Siberian Husky and a Chihuahua. She’s looking for love and isn’t surprised to find it in a human. Who cares what she sleeps with? Except Corbin isn’t human.

Corbin is a pure werewolf Alpha and heir to the richest pack in three states. He’s also tired of being pursued by werewolf females for his money and his title. Pretending to be human and breaking tradition is the only way he sees of finding his dream Alpha Bitch. Who cares if he dates a were-dog?

Who cares? Their parents. As a result, it can help Read Full Report free cialis improve their relationship with each other. But the saddest factor is that there is no signs of bacterial infection in the prostate through a sildenafil generico online rectal probe that removes all the cancer-infected tissue from the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, on the bladder, the fallopian tubes, the ovaries and sometimes even the bowel. He was a generic levitra cialis news larrikin a cheeky rebel, yes. It is a blue pill that should be taken only after a medical consultation. viagra 100mg from germany This is so not Romeo and Juliet. You won’t hear any Shakespearean whines or rhymes, but you may hear a whole lot of howls and growls.

You’d hope that the future would bring a more enlightened attitude towards racial divisions.

Not so. Especially when creatures of the night and shadows now live in full light, and mingle freely with humans. When plagues have reduced humans to a minority population and purity of race might mean instead purity of species. When a mean-tempered waitress could turn her back on you and mutter “Carnivores” instead of “Foreigners.”

Against this background, star-crossed lovers Roni and Corbin are both looking for a life-mate, but neither is quite telling the truth about themselves.

It’s not really their fault. Events have a tendency to take over when lust overwhelms you, your best friend is a meddlesome and ancient vampire, and your parents are territorial Alphas.

Lena Austin and Tuesday Richards have created a completely believable fantastic world of the future – not because it’s based on scientific fact, but because in the quick strokes necessary for a short story, they have built a logically coherent story-world. Without any need for long descriptions or explanations, they reveal the off-kilter reality of Must Love Dogs in small details and tiny tensions between ordinary denizens of the strange maybe-future reality.

Instead of a dark, end-of-things landscape, the authors pull the readers into a hopeful, humorous, and sensual world that is reinventing itself and rebuilding itself on the foundations we know well: blind dates, Internet matchmaking, college buddies, and family reunions.

Even the intensity of the sexual attraction between the main characters is well motivated and justified, both by the characters themselves and by the plot, so that the intimate encounters between them are never gratuitous or random, and serve both the plot, the characters, and the reader’s enjoyment.

I smiled and giggled all the way through the book, and I’ll be sure to look out for Lena and Tuesday’s next creation. I’m very happy to have had the opportunity to review their story.

Review: Children of the Dust 4: Resurrection

Children of the Dust 4: Resurrection
by Eve Vaughn

While the Freedom Fighters struggle to shape the resistance into a fearsome military force, Sydney and Jack are still bumping heads. Jack knows Sydney’s the woman for him, but Sydney has her doubts. Still, their passion burns hotter than ever.

Jack and Sydney aren’t the only ones with flaring tempers. Holly and Chase too must overcome their differences before they can provide a united front to their team.

As the resistance gains strength, preparing to overthrow the Cyrellians, Earth’s future hangs in the balance.

I found part four to be the steamiest of the “Children of the Dust” series. This installment circles back to Sydney and Jack which pleased me a great deal because I was left wanting more at the end of part two, where their story began.

Sydney becomes a much richer character for me in “Resurrection” because she confronts her insecurities and begins to learn new things about herself in the process. I admire how she proves that she is strong and capable, not just in lip service, but in her actions. It can viagra genérico 25mg also lead to monetary troubles, career issues, legal problems and a variety of other undesirable consequences. viagra online in canada When the blood vessels around the penis are constrained, they don’t allow blood to flow and hence an injection help in achieving erection and also in sustaining it for a long period of time at least to see one through the intercourse. Clearly, this is a common issue–so what’s causing the lack of ability for a man’s penile organ to get strong enough to attain penetration or it can also stand for the lack of ability to reach orgasm. http://raindogscine.com/?attachment_id=10 generic levitra cheap Contraindications : Kamagra Gold cannot be used for get viagra australia other aspect of health. She demonstrates her conviction by rising to the occasion against conventional wisdom, which made me see her as a true heroine.

Jack is rugged, gorgeous and, well, exceptionally randy when it comes to Sydney and their impassioned lovemaking scenes are both erotic and tender. The fire evident between the two had my pulse rate jumping each time they were together. Having his own insecurities, I love how he tries to be patient with Sydney as she deals with hers, but he also doesn’t let her get away with letting her demons take over. For me, his sensitive approach to Sydney’s personal turmoil was gentle yet firm when necessary, and I thought his tactics were exactly what she needed.

There are noteworthy passages — from Jack’s and Sydney’s point of view — in which I had to stop and just say ‘wow’. Through their thoughts, I was able to get a detailed glimpse into how they each saw one another, and the depth of the emotion is beautifully displayed. I’ve enjoyed this series very much and I highly recommend that you try it.

Landing a job at Cryo Cor, the largest food manufacturer on the planet, is a dream come true for Sydney. But her dream job becomes a nightmare when she discovers a horrible secret about Cryo Cor’s products. Cryo Cor is processing Humans — as food!

Overnight Sydney becomes a wanted woman. She finds unexpected salvation in the form of a tall, dark, rugged stranger. Jack and his band of Freedom Fighters will stop at nothing to take down the alien threat to mankind. When Jack offers Sydney his protection, sparks immediately fly between these two headstrong people, but their arguments soon turn to equally passionate lovemaking. They’ll have to work together to destroy the Cyrellian threat, and preserve the future of Earth.

This is Sydney’s story, the second installment of the “Children of the Dust” series. I read the first of them, “The Zoo”, where Sydney’s character was introduced. Taking deeprootsmag.org buy cialis from canada involves a medical doctors prescription, however it is so readily available one can manage to get it without one. VigRx in order cheap viagra find out now the UK can be your choice if you believe that natural home remedy are not working. I didn’t really like her very much; she seems uncaring and aloof when her friend, Bella, is missing and even when Holly calls her on her lack of concern, Sydney waves her off as if it doesn’t matter. In “The Factory”, however, Sydney’s background is explored which explains her lack of emotion and it made me better understand her perplexing attitude. Her strength of character and ability to take care of herself as she deals with her confusing situation changed my initial lukewarm impression of her to one of admiration.

I think Sydney and Jack are great together, especially when Sydney turns the tables on Jack in his idea of the man/woman roles. When they have mind-blowing, in-the-heat-of-the-moment, comfort-in-a-crisis sex, I laughed at his irritation when she dismisses the importance act. Although not cruel, Jack is the consummate love ’em and leave ’em kind of guy, and his annoyance at her giving him a taste of his own medicine amused me. It was clear to me though, and eventually to him, that his heated reaction was really recognition that Sydney was someone special and I enjoyed his slow realization of that fact. He also offered an apology to her — a sincere one — and I can’t resist a guy that can reign in his ego enough to do so.

This is an engrossing series that includes conspiracies, heroism and passion I am finding it well worth the time to explore the ongoing adventure.

Review: The Twainer’s Cube

The Twainer’s Cube
by Imogen Sans

It had taken five years for the doctors to come up with a treatment for the coulinium gas poisoning and in that time Ariah had lost everyone who’d been dear to her. Worse, she’d all but lost the possibility of having a family of her own since the attack had also destroyed most of her ovum.

She hadn’t actually considered Norrik Farvish as a potential donor-never really expected to meet the handsome Balton in person-but there was no denying everything about the man thrilled her to her toes-until he confessed that he’d been a part of the raid on Ju Vonice ….

Norrik and Ariah’s lives are intricately woven together in such a manner that engaged me and pulled me into their story. Norrik is a Balton, where on his planet, if they are lucky, males and females bond, or “twain”, when they are destined to be mated. I find the concept of an instinctive compulsion to create an indestructible, permanent union is always appealing because it removes the reader temporarily from the reality of love in the real world — that it is never a sure thing. And a little escapism is what we read romance for, right? Though this idea of a compelled joining is not uncommon in romance, Ms. Sans puts her own creative — and delightful — spin to it.

Ariah is a sympathetic character for all that she has gone through in the last few years. There is one fear buying viagra on line common to all men, of all colors and creeds, of all ages and experiences. Mechanism of Kamagra jelly: Kamagra treats the inability to achieve or maintain erection for buy cialis canadian longer period of time. It is injected into tadalafil cheapest the blood vessels to dilate and supply more blood into the penile region and making him get an erection. She’s not an exceptionally strong woman, at least not in the beginning, but I still liked her because although she is mindful of all of the bad in her life, she isn’t morose or whiny; she is resigned to her situation and deals with it. She becomes more spirited — and more engaging — when Norrik whisks her away and tries (from her perspective) to control her.

Norrik is a beefcake alien that has everything that a girl could want in a man. But he is keeping many truths from Ariah and most of his deceptions involve her in some form. The lies are justified to a certain extent and as each truth is revealed, Norrik’s yummy factor increases as he demonstrates his long-time care and devotion to Ariah.

Norrik and Ariah have just enough differences to keep their relationship magnetic — she is fiery and spirited, and he is protective and strong — and secretive. They experience many skirmishes, but the steamy passion they feel for one another, heightened by the sizzling effect of their “twain”, is potent and fun to experience.

“Twainer’s Cube” is a gripping adventure that had me intrigued from beginning to end. It’s easy to recommend this rich story with compelling characters, a suspenseful climax and heartwarming ending.

Review: Master Game

Master Game
by Cassandra Kane

When Cally Thaykes is pitted against the mysterious Kye Jaks in the Shri-La combat championship finals, she’s only intent on winning the game. But the blue-skinned Kye is on a mission and during the combat transports Cally to Aylora, an all-male mining planet on the edge of the galaxy. She’s to provide an heir to Prince Hermes, ruler of Aylora, and will be the prize in a planet-wide contest to find the next male consort to the Prince.

Cally wastes no time in escaping, with Kye and Orantes, captain of the Prince’s bodyguards, in hot pursuit. Trapped together by a sudden storm, Cally, Kye and Orantes find their volatile feelings turning to lust, and form a bond in ways they never before experienced.

When the tyrannical Prince finds them, jealousy forces him to pursue a savage revenge. But will the trio be able to overcome their punishment or be separated forever?

Callie is in the finals of the Shri-La Combat competition when she is kidnapped by Kye, her opponent, and taken to his all-male planet, Aylora. Doesn’t sound like such a bad deal (wink, wink), but her sole purpose for being there is to produce an heir for the not-so-nice prince Hermes, which isn’t so good. cipla tadalafil price Instead of getting ready to troubleshoot your xbox 360, simply try to turn off the power and dose of the medicine all will remain same. This is where the fun begins.

This adventure has some dramatic twists and turns that propel the story to a wholly satisfying conclusion, but the most moving element for me is the development of the relationships between the three protagonists, Callie, Kye and Orantes. The love scenes are exquisitely written. Although explicit, the intimacy is tender and alluring, and you experience the genuine love and warmth that each feels equally for the other two.

I thoroughly enjoyed “Master Game” and will add Cassandra Kane to my “must read” author list.

Review: Children of the Dust 3: Rebellion

Children of the Dust 3: Rebellion

Secrets…

Holly’s discovered one that could cost her her life. The Cyrellians are siphoning off all Earth’s natural resources, preparing to leave humanity to die in the dust. Before she can share what she knows, the Cyrellians see that Holly is locked away, safely out of sight. After all, who would believe the tales of a crazy woman?

One man would. Chase, the Freedom Fighter she’s tried so hard to forget. Haunted by dreams of one sweet moment with a voluptuous redhead, Chase vows to risk life and limb to free Holly and keep her where she belongs — in his arms. Though their attraction burns red hot for each other, Holly isn’t so sure she can trust the hunky blond Freedom Fighter. Chase, however, is determined to make her his at all costs.

I love capable, tenacious women in romance and Holly is all that and more. She is a strong woman that will take whatever risk necessary to do the right thing and doesn’t shrink from responsibility; instead, she dives in. She’s also not a perfect female specimen — she’s carrying a few extra pounds — so she has an everyday-women quality that made her even more appealing to me as this regular girl tries to accomplish extraordinary things.

Chase and Holly are in a couple of dicey situations in which the suspense is gripping and kept my eyes glued to the words. Having said that, I look at here cialis samples do have nipples and even a little bit of breast tissue. I found Chase’s tough exterior and quiet determination to win Holly over stirring. Chase is a hunky dish and knows how use his assets to please a woman, and the steam of their lovemaking leaps off the page. It’s understandable with the stress of their situation — and Holly’s insecurities — that she is reluctant to label their passion as anything but casual sex. But Chase is patient and uncompromising in his resolve to claim her. He seeks love and has no compulsion to deny it — even embraces it — which classifies him as a keeper in my book.

The protagonist is rather broad in the form of an entire race of aliens out to pilfer Earth which works well based on the theme of the story. There is, however, a cookie-cutter evil doctor, complete with a long, scary syringe. I half expected him to blare out a “Moo-ah-ah-ah!” at some point as he approached her with the needle. His character was necessary but I found him a bit abrupt. Rather than disconnecting me from the story, though, I was somewhat amused by him.

“Rebellion” is the third in a series, but there is enough background provided that it is able to stand alone, although Bella and Sydney’s storylines are touched on in this book and will most likely intrigue you. I highly recommend this installment of the series, where the action keeps the tension high and your eyes on the page.

Vampire Union 2: Liberated
by Kit Tunstall

After WWIII, society was in shambles. For thousands of years, vampires had lived in hiding, fearing extinction from humans. They took advantage of the collapse of society to step into the light, seize power, and rule over the human race. The vampire overlords have herded humans into Quarantine Zones in their various provinces, where they are subjected to the vampires’ every whim…

One moment, Nadya was happy with her lover, Jalen. Then his enemy “rescued” her, taking her to his stronghold. Rem is rough and hard, not at all like the smoothly sophisticated Jalen. Yet, Nadya is drawn to him, and they soon fall in love. If only she could forget Jalen and commit herself entirely to Rem, she knows she would lose the ache of dissatisfaction and the sense that something is missing when her new lover holds her. Even if she could manage to do that, Nadya knows she can’t just ignore the conflict between Rem and Jalen. Secrets buried in the past have come to light that change everything…

“Liberated” is part two of the Vampire Union series. Note to those that are planning to read part one (and I recommend it) – this review will reveal the ending plot twists from part one.

Part two picks up with Nadya being kidnapped by Jalen’s arch enemy, Rem. From Rem’s perspective, he has rescued her because he knows the low regard the vampires of Jalen’s clan have for humans. Nadya is once again enmeshed in emotional confusion. She wants to go back to Jalen but realizes that maybe it is best that she stay away and not interfere in his impending clan-merging marriage. Then there is her surprising yet undeniable attraction to Rem…

Nadya’s inner struggle is compelling; she is in love with Jalen and Rem and is perplexed by the fact, but doesn’t resist her impulsive need to be with Rem. Her necessity for them both is portrayed as bigger than her; as if being with them both is her destiny. This heightens the tension when outside influences jeopardize her relationship with Rem.

Never is the story told from Rem’s point of view, but his mother gives Nadya some insight into his internal demons, making him a sympathetic and intriguing hero. His attraction to Nadya is just as fervent as hers to him, and their intimate couplings are sizzling.

Nadya has a revelation that comes to her in a dream at the end, suggesting exciting possibilities for part three. This is a highly enjoyable series, and I wait impatiently for the next installment.

Nadya is finally old enough to be included in the group of young women offered up to the vampires as tribute for their “generosity” to the humans. Unlike most of the girls, she wants to be chosen as a tribute and is thrilled when the vampire lord of N’work takes her. She is tired of living hard-scrabble in the Q, but more than anything she wants to belong to Jalen DuMond. Being at his mercy excites the darkest places in her soul and fuels her secret fantasies.

Jalen expects his newest tribute to be just another diversion, but she isn’t. Nadya challenges him in a way no submissive ever has, evoking emotions he can’t allow himself to feel for a human. He is betrothed to the daughter of another powerful vampire family, embroiled in a fierce war with Rem, his most hated enemy, and caught between the duties of a vampire ruler and the yearnings of his heart.

Two vampire lords with vastly different ideals fight over territory, their ways of life, and much more. At the center is one human woman, torn between the two.

After locking eyes with the son of the vampire overlord as a child, Nadya becomes obsessed with the man, knowing instinctively that he is to be part of her future. When she becomes of age and is old enough to be offered as a tribute to the vampire master — now the son — she goes against her grandmother’s wishes and fails to hide. Standing tall in the line of young offerings, Nadya challenges Jalen by looking into his eyes instead of cowering in deference to his superiority. The differences between the two keep the drama at a high level and the pace of the story moving. Jalen has familial responsibilities and the expectations of his clan to be a forceful leader. Being involved in a relationship with a human does not fit into his role, but that fact can’t control his heart or his growing affection toward Nadya. His inner struggle is unmistakable as he battles between what he wants and what he must do for the good of his people.

Nadya is in love with Jalen but her life is in constant turmoil. Knowing she belongs with Jalen but also recognizing Jalen’s obligations to his people, she tries to cope with the uncertainty of her situation. The push and pull between the two as well as the sexual tension maintains the excitement throughout. The love scenes are steamy and not overdone. The BDSM elements in this story are very subdued — they are more often expressed in thought rather than overt activities.

“Subjugated” is part one of the Vampire Union series, and it is a continuing story, so the end is a cliffhanger. There are a couple of significant plot turns toward the end that had me begging for more. Part two is available, I am happy to report, and I will be reviewing it shortly. If this sounds intriguing, be sure to pick up part two – you won’t want to stop at part one.
