Each character brings something unique to the mix, and each new addition to the ‘family’ adds to the fun and the heat. I like this world, a place where folks can be themselves, and judgment is noticeably absent.

Holden is a free spirit, never staying with one woman long. Until he meets Sabra Harp, and then he is torn, wanting her, but angry at the problems she created for the Hot Rods. Sabra is ashamed of what happened as well, and determined to make it up to the tight knit group of mechanics, and just maybe, she can also make it up to Holden, a man who intrigues her in a way no one ever has. When she brings a proposal to the Hot Rods that could change their future, is a good way, at first Holden is the lone stand out in the Hot Rods, but he can’t seem to fight the feelings he has for Sabra. When he learns that she left her job as news reporter because of her belief that those higher up at her station might have been behind the ‘leak’, he reluctantly listens to her plans for the team. He also discovers how much he really likes her, and is delighted when the feeling is mutual. Now, if he can just learn whether she will fit into the polyamorous lifestyle of the Hot Rods, or is interested in moving forward toward a relationship with him. Can Holden overcome his lifelong fear of closeness to make a life with Sabra and the Hot Rods? Is Sabra ready to embrace the wild and loving Hot Rods lifestyle, with all that it promises? Can this group find a way to outwit the station bosses and help Sabra put her show on the air for all to see?

Sabra Hart is a strong and determined woman, and when she realizes the damage that her story inadvertently caused, she wants to make things right with those she harmed. When she realizes that those in charge at the station went against the guidelines, she quit rather than condone what they did. I like her strength of character, and she has an adventurous side that is willing to accept new challenges. Especially if those challenges include spending time with Holden. She felt the connection, and hopes he will accept the apology she offers for what happened.

Holden grew up in the center that Eli’s dad and mom started, part of the Hot Rod family of troubled and abandoned children. He has always felt like part of the group, but as each of the Hot Rods found that special person, he thinks he doesn’t fit the same anymore, and hates that he has become more of an observer than a participant. When he realizes Sabra is more than just a quick fling, he slowly brings her into their world, hoping for the best. I liked watching Holden show his romantic side with her, and his ability to let go of his past to face a future filled with possibilities.

Sabra and Holden have fantastic chemistry, and the progression of their relationship is fast and furious. Sabra, with her background in yoga, brings a whole new definition to going with the flow. I enjoyed the highs and the lows in this one, and liked that the ‘big boss’ at the station was not able to keep the project down in spite of his efforts. There is a brief visit with the Crew from the Powertools series, and it was great catching up with them as well. There are some tearful moments, some giggle producing ones and there is a very suspenseful cliff hanger of an ending to this one. If you like your passion off the charts, with lots of bodies in lots of combinations, this is right up your alley. But bring ice and tissues, both will be needed.

Armand LaForge is on edge after the attacks on the pack in Salvation, attacks by their old pack back in Louisiana. The only good thing to have come out of this war so far is that their alpha, Jacque LaForge, found his mate, even if Jacque’s evil father nearly killed her when he attacked.

Armand needs to find a way to relax, and decides one beer at the local roadhouse might help. Anny Conrad has gone for a birthday drink with her friend Sue, and watches as her friend dances and has a fun evening. Anny is a quiet woman, but Armand notices her in the crowded room, wondering why she looks a bit sad among all the people. When he asks her to dance, his wolf recognizes her as his mate, and Armand knows he has to walk away, rather than draw Anny into the pack wars they are fighting. Unfortunately, the pack is being watched, and as careful as Armand is, his father still gets news of his one night with Anny, and comes to teach his wayward son a lesson, almost killing Anny. Can Anny accept what she has become, and build a new life that could include Armand? Can the Salvation pack keep her safe, and stop Remy LaForge from doing any more damage? Can two scarred and lonely hearts heal each other, for a happy ever after, in spite of the danger ahead?

Anny Conrad is a quiet and sensitive woman, happy to enjoy simple things. She has a core of inner strength, however, and I like how she decides to, just once, grab what life offers her in Armand. I like that she is willing to experience all that he has to offer, even if it is only for one night. I liked that she had the courage to try and fight off Remy, and when she was dying, she had the strength to accept her wolf, and live.

Armand LaForge, cousin to the Alpha of Salvation Pack, is strong, but scarred, both inside and out. He knows, deep inside, he has to let Anny go to keep her safe, but he has one moment of weakness, one night in her arms before he says goodbye. I like Armand with his sense of honor and strength of character, and his willingness to turn away from his mate rather than see her hurt, or worse. I also like his determination to protect Anny after he learns of her attack. I liked watching as he slowly worked past her defenses, making a place in her heart and her life.

There is a lot of passion and romance here, and five deliciously hot werewolves to delight. There is also danger at every turn, from the spies from the Louisiana pack, and later from Armand’s father Remy. I enjoyed the fast pace of this one, it made me cry, sigh and there were some giggles in there as well. If hot and strong heroes, sassy and independent women and lots of searing romance are what you enjoy, this is well worth the reading. I recommend that these two books be read in order for the most enjoyment, but there is enough background to make this one stand alone.

With this book, I enjoyed the rock star antics of Jax Campbell, as he comes to realize that there is more to life than just playing around, and Natalie learns that being serious all the time isn’t for her at all.

Jaxon ‘Jax’ Campbell is the epitome of the rock star bad boy. Handsome and sexy, he has literally slept his way around the world. He thinks love is overrated and not in his plans, but then he sees Natalie again, and suddenly he is thinking of things he never knew he wanted. When Nat challenges him, he accepts her terms, but plans to get his own way too. I liked watching as Jax finally grew up and discovered what was important in his life, and how far he would go to get it. He has to face the real possibility that he has lost the one good thing in his life, Natalie’s love, in order to finally open his heart to all love offers.

Natalie ‘Boxhead’ Thorton is smart, funny and very determined not to lose her head, or her heart, to Jax Campbell again. She comes up with her challenge as a way to show Jax he has no hold over her heart, and she thinks she can forget the past and just use him for some outstanding sex, then walk away. I liked Natalie, with her serious persona and her naughty inner vixen. I like that she was adventurous and able to match Jax at every turn.

Watching these two is like watching a classic romantic comedy; every time you think you know what is coming, one of these two people throws a curve and off they go on another adventure in sensuality. I especially liked the scene in Natalie’s office, featuring the Federal Minister for the Arts and Culture, Natalie, and a naked Jax under the desk. Very hot and totally hilarious at the same time. There are many such scenes, and many unique places for Nat and Jax to visit and enjoy. The big question…do they find the replacement that this whole adventure was set up to find? No spoilers from this reader, this is one that has to be experienced to be appreciated. This is best read with the AC on high cool, and plenty of iced drinks to be had. I like this world, and the interaction between the main characters. There is a past with Sonja, and it is portrayed in bits and pieces through these two people’s memories. I love this series, and enjoy the search for the elusive talent needed to replace the irreplaceable Nick Blackthorne.

Levi Levistan and Corbin Smith are a committed couple, in the midst of the single most devastating period in their relationship. They had looked forward to the birth of their daughter via a surrogate, and when the senseless accident took both the child and her mother from them, each man reacted differently. Corbin grieved openly, and needed to share his grief with Levi, while Levi buried his grief and pain deep inside himself. I like that, although Corbin left, he realized that he still loved Levi, and needed to find a way to get through to Levi and help him heal. I love that he felt secure enough with Levi to accept and welcome Sonja into their lives, their homes, and finally, into their hearts.

Sonja ‘Sonny’ Stone is strong, determined and unflappable. She has to be in her career as an editor of erotic romances, but even she is shaken a bit by Corbin’s suggestion. I like that she shares a past with Levi, and knows and understands how he handles pain and stress in his life, and I liked seeing how she reacted to both Levi and Corbin. She has such an open and adventurous nature, and she fills the place inside both men that neither knew was there.

This is a poignant and touching story, one of pain and loss and starting anew. There are some sad moments, but there are many joyous ones as well, and when disaster strikes, Levi and Corbin are able to face it together and make sure Sonny stays right where she belongs…between these two attentive and loving men. This one is for those who like their romance unconventional and hot…and I do mean hot! I’m looking forward to seeing how the search for Nick’s replacement works out, and I recommend this series in its entirety to those who like lots of screaming hot romance with a peek inside the life of a band.

The world building here is a treat, with attention to detail and some small and intriguing facets to it. The characters are well defined, and the focus is on just two people, Dean and Carrie. There are others in the background, but not really interacted with in any major way.

Carrie is a strong woman, but is wounded inside. She was abandoned as a baby, left for a human family, and ridiculed most of her life due to her fairy heritage. She never knew her birth parents, and this is behind her insecurity with Dean…if they left her, why wouldn’t he? I liked that she was willing to walk away from her mate Dean if he couldn’t open up and share with her, but I also liked that she knew she would have to tell him her past as well. She is a combination of sweet and sensual, and she was strong enough to face her fears with Dean.

Dean is strong, determined and rough, and he doesn’t understand why communication is important to his mate. He does know he can’t bear to lose her, so he is ready to try something new. I liked that he was open to trying, and the idea of the special Easter basket for Carrie was a good one. I liked that Dean was willing to make some changes on his side, rather than demand Carrie do it all. His ability to compromise, and even to relax and let Carrie take control was a giant step for these two.

Carrie and Dean had some rough patches to work through, and this story shows how important communication is to any relationship. Once these two got into the spirit of the Truth or Dare cards, there were many possible outcomes, and this book explores the many options open to Carrie and Dean to bridge the difficult times and make their lives what they wanted. This is for those who like romance, magic and lots of heat.
