Sorcerer Fabrice Germain lost his Talent when he was raped, but he still has his job. Relocating to London seems like the answer, and then he meets Gemma, who works for his rival. She’s a vampire. That’s two reasons to avoid her, but Fabrice and Gemma still end up scorching the sheets one Saturday night.

Then the world goes to hell. Fabrice ends a weekend of passion and tragedy as a converted Talent – a vampire now, like Gemma. One who has sworn to avenge two murders, and is back as an agent with Department 57. After that, he’s happy to die.

Except there’s Gemma. Fabrice really wants Gemma.

Gemma doesn’t want Fabrice to surrender to the blood phobia that threatens to take his life. She wants him for longer than a night–in fact she thinks she might never get enough of him. When they’ve caught the murderers, what is there to stop him starving to death? Only her.

A sorcerer turned human, and a vampire meet in the most inconvenient manner, yet that still does not stop the sparks from flying.

Fabrice is trying to find his way through life now that he’s lost his powers. One bonus is now that his virginity has been taken from him, he can enjoy all the sex he wants. I’ve been following this series for a while and I eagerly anticipated Fabrice’s story. Something about the guarded sorcerer made me think there was so much more to him than an icy exterior. Once the ice was chipped away I got to see a caring, lost man, who my heart just went out to. I enjoyed watching him try to understand and accept what he has become, as well as deal with the newly formed relationship between him and Gemma.

The romantic development between Gemma and Fabrice was spectacular. From beginning to end I got to watch these characters not only grow their relationship, but help to heal one another. While Fabrice’s scars were deeper than Gemma’s I could see how her character had also been bruised by her past. In the end, I truly believed that without one another neither character would have been happy, and isn’t that what “forever after” is all about?

There’s one scene that needs mentioning, and is the reason I have labeled this a forced seduction. There is an F/F scene where a woman is making advances at Gemma. It’s clear Gemma isn’t interested in this female, but the woman continues to try and seduce Gemma. While no clothes are removed, the woman is aggressive in going after what she wants so I felt it warranted a forced seduction tag as well as mentioning. I will say that this scene does not take away from the plot or storyline in any way, but instead enhances the plot line.

Author Lynne Connolly has always been one of my favorites because of her ability to create dynamic plots with amazing conflicts. This story displayed her writing abilities perfectly. I could see how much she enjoyed writing this story all throughout the books. Scenes like the one I mentioned earlier with the female for example. As usual, I was at the edge of my seat hanging onto every word and anticipating what was going to happen next. The excellent writing ability and memorable characters proves this story deserves every one of its five stars.

Thessa the Tomboy loves playing practical jokes. She and her friend, Bren, come up with the perfect plan to scare the villagers…a faux wolf attack.

Thessa doesn’t know that two werewolves are in attendance during her tall tales. They decide to pay her back for her prank. But, once they get a good look at her and the courage she shows defending herself, Caelan and Raynd decide they want to take her. Their instinct tells them there’s more to the tomboy than tall tales.

When Thessa cries wolf, no one comes to her aid, thinking it another of her pranks. The werewolves whisk her away to their mountaintop castle to show her a trick or two. Will she escape them or succumb to the wicked tricks they play on her body once they have her under their control?

We have all heard the story about the boy who cried wolf, but when Thessa cries wolf she isn’t wary of a violent attack. No, they come up with a more devious plan to attack her emotionally and sexually until she willingly gives herself to the big bad wolfs.

Caelan and Raynd are two big bad wolves that you want to take a bite out of you. They seem to complement one another perfectly. It’s clear they’ve been seducing women into their beds for years and when they focus their attention on Thessa she has no choice but succumb to their advances. The author really exhibited the mindset of the historical time period in these characters. I enjoyed how Caelan and Raynd appeared to be monsters that plague Thessa’s dreams, yet they are actually her knights in shining armor. This added depth to the storyline as well as their character.

The fact that the story really seem to stay true to the historical theme made the story creative. From the town tavern, to the mysterious castle on the hill the author created a great mental picture of the period. I also think the historical theme added a unique and intriguing aspect to the story that contemporary stories cannot offer. The authors ability to transfer me to a different place, in a different time, made the story that much more enjoyable. The story seemed to just flow and when I was forced to take a break from reading I found myself eager to get back to the story, and that’s why I would recommend The Virgin Who Cried Wolf to others.

Jane’s boyfriend Matthew is perfect in all ways but one—in the bedroom. Sure, their sex life is sweet and romantic, but therein lies the problem. Jane harbors secret desires that she’s afraid will turn off her vanilla lover. But finally she confides in him, introducing him to the world of non-con role play.

Matthew has always believed that no means no, but in ravishment fantasy no means yes, yes, yes. He’s reticent to open the door to the darker side of his sexuality, but with Jane’s patient guidance he finds he enjoys the role of aggressor. Perhaps more than he’s comfortable with. The role play stirs up a host of memories he’d rather forget, leaving him to wonder which is his true self—the sweet, romantic lover or the ravisher.

If you thought fantasies were a shallow bit of fun, be prepared to think again.

Jane is not a vanilla girl, she likes it rough, hot and hard. Trouble is boyfriend Matthew is just too damn nice; not just nice, he’s romantic, sweet, gentle and considerate. Tough luck it seems he might be the one, because while he’s everything she wants out of the bedroom, he’s just not hitting the spot – literally – when they get between the sheets. So there’s only one thing for Jane to do and that’s to bare open her soul and confess her dark, sordid desires. The expression “can of worms” springs to mind, for after a ropey start things spiral to dizzyingly ecstatic heights but then rocket higher and scarier than either of them could ever have imagined.

There were many layers to this story and I adored the fact that I couldn’t predict it as it romped along at a steamy pace. Both characters were portrayed really well, their inner thoughts, hopes, dreams and passion all there for the reader to devour. I felt like I knew them both. Jane was great, she was a woman who loved with every inch of her being and she wanted to express that. Matthew, who I have to admit was one of the roughest and most sensitive heroes I have come across in a long time, was great. His inner-monologue both wild and heart wrenching. I wanted to be on the receiving end of his attentions at times, and others I was glad it was Jane coping with him! Needless to say it made for a great read and luckily Jane, the feisty minx, lapped up everything Matthew had to offer, just.

Ravish Me is one hot read if you enjoy rough play, forced seduction and passion let loose. The hero and heroine really were made for one another and traveling on their journey of fantasy role-play that proved to be so much more than a bit of fun made me feel quite voyeuristic. It was beautifully written, the subject matter which could have been a major turn off in an erotic romance was handled sensitively and maturely and ended with a positive spin. Grab yourself a copy of Ravish Me if you want a page-turner that will leave you breathless. It may even be one of those books that plays on your mind after the last page, I know it will mine.

Soon, she is reborn as a ShapeShifter with the ability to shift into both a werewolf and a Dragon. Braccus is the pack’s alpha male, and his time on earth is running out. He needs the magic of Belinda’s Dragon to continue his reign. Dead or alive, she would be his.

Dagger can’t forget the shaman’s warning. If Belinda doesn’t remember their past, they will die. Casual sex is not on his agenda as he realizes that only his love and their lovemaking can bring her back. Will their struggle for love eventually overcome the odds?

Love has no boundaries, which is truly evident in this exciting love story between werewolf shifter Dagger, and dragon shifter Belinda. Dagger had promised to protect Belinda no matter the obstacles and when he failed measurably the first time, he vowed to make sure their second chance was different.

The relationship development between Dagger and Belinda was one that truly entertained me. I liked the twist of him remembering their past while she had no recognition of it. The emotional and physical connection for Dagger is something that has been building over the centuries, while for Belinda it was a fresh feeling. It offered all of the stages of love, which many stories cannot do.

The conflict with Braccus truly kept the story moving forward. Every time Dagger and Belinda seemed to be making some headway, he threw them a curve ball. It added an element of surprise and danger to the story and made the plot line captivating. Braccus is everything I have come to expect from a villain: conniving, manipulative, and ruthless. It had me looking forward with anticipation to his next diabolical plot in the pursuit to gain ultimate power.

The paranormal element within this book was not a trivial contribution. As a person who enjoys all paranormal stories, especially shifters, my choosing to read this novella was a no-brainer. Toss in werewolves and a dragon, I found myself smiling for no reason other than amusement at their shifting abilities. While the tale could have been a good love story without it, the paranormal element really enhanced the story to a new level. Truly, I would recommend Dagger’s Lust to others who enjoy a nice paranormal short story.

Loyalty to her lord compels the Otu woman-warrior Sora to risk her life trying to find her tribe’s hated enemy, the Waban. Her mission: to kill their leader. Instead, she becomes the prisoner of the enemy’s powerful war-leader, Hakan. His mission: to turn the bound woman at his feet into a sex-hungry creature worthy of the powerful man who rules the Waban. But Sora is nothing like the submissive slave-whores he’s accustomed to. Instead, he finds himself pitted against a courageous, if helpless, adversary. No matter how completely he controls her body, the warrior spirit that is part of her heart and soul remains.

As days and nights flow together during the long trek back to Hakan’s village, hatred gives way to a wild attraction neither wants but they can’t fight. Long-held secrets become confidences whispered during frenzied sex. But deeply ingrained loyalty to their leaders compels them to continue to see the other as the enemy until treachery and deceit awaiting them at journey’s end threatens their survival. Will it bring them together or rip them apart?

Beautiful setting, page-turning anticipation, and compelling, strong characters you can’t help but root for. Enemies has all the elements you need for a fantastic escape from day to day life!

I can’t tell you how much I love these characters. Sora, a female Otu Warrior, is strong, courageous, and determined. When she’s captured by a Waban war leader and sworn enemy, Hakan, she must endure his certain torture to avoid being broken and carry out her mission to get to the Waban Elder. While refusing to back down, she seemingly submits, yet never loses focus of her goal, to collect information about the Waban tribe and bring it back to the Otu.

Hakan, although fierce and threatening, is a wonderfully complex character. His inner turmoil – does he treat this captive as just another spoil of war, or give her the respect her warrior status commands – is gripping and enjoyable. This medicine is a tonic for body and scientists are exploring more cialis cheap india effective means to prevent the infiltration of macrophages, disturbing the interaction between tumor stem and other tumor-related macrophages. From the moment they first meet in battle, Sora stabbing Hakan before Hakan renders Sora unconscious, you can feel the attraction, admiration and respect the two have for each other. They are perfect equals in a world where neither should have one.

I loved how protective Hakan was of his captive, although he knew she was very capable of taking care of herself. The undeniable pairing of these two was done gradually and with perfect intent, every step of their relationship drawing them closer together until there was no question the love they felt, despite their individual senses of duty and obligation to their respective tribes.

Ms. Harper is an expert in her setting. I know little of native culture, but was never lost in the perfect world she has created. The adversarial relationships, differences in language, and even day to day living were so wonderfully laid out that I was not only able to follow the story, I became lost in it. I felt a part of their world, and that takes a very talented writer.

The love scenes were sensual and erotic, but also served to further connect the hero and heroine. Through both points of view we are able to experience Hakan’s struggle with the “spell” this irresistible captive had over him as well as the Sora’s attempt to retain her distance from the man who claimed to own her. Their individual struggles were believable and served to bond them even further, since both understood the other in a way that few could.

The only piece of this wonderful story that was missing was their ultimate expression of love. They each thought it, but never spoke the words to each other. Ms. Harper has such a beautiful use of language for the natives, I was hoping to hear how they each chose to express themselves to the other. In the end, it was an assumption, but we didn’t get to witness the conversation taking place. I missed it, but even without the words, their dedication was unquestionable.

If you like a story that takes you to another time and place, and a love story that leaves you breathlessly rooting for the hero and the heroine both, THIS is definitely a title to pick up!

SCARRED AND KILT

By Laurann Dohner – is a clever little story with a heroine who is both brave and wary, not to mention inquisitive and a tiny bit aggressive. Matty’s had some hard knocks in her life and what I liked about her character is that she epitomizes the phrase, “That which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. The author presented me with a woman who no longer bows to bullies yet somehow has kept a part of her innocence and trust intact. I believe that is what allows the heroine to do what she does and with whom. The man that has fascinated her for months, Blaron, is a pretty decent guy, for a vampire. He’s the typical take charge, male-blown-away-by-a-sexy-woman kind of guy who doesn’t expect to find what he finds. His surprise was entertaining, their coming together was hot and frantic and their dialogue snappy and well paced. Even though their “I love you” comes a bit too soon, this is a short paranormal romance and he’s a vampire. And since we all know that vampires move really really fast, this fits just fine. Not only that but the author threw in a sentence that made it a tad more realistic – their relationship won’t be all roses and moonlight and it’s that willingness to work it out that made this tale feel rounded and grounded.

TINDERBOX

By Regina Carlysle – is loaded with explosive hotness and thrilling consummation scenes as Livvy finds her inner animal with two dedicated gorgeous men. This installment is about fulfilling a dream when all hope seems lost. It’s about a flash-fire romance where the paranormal rules are fast, furious and violent and undeniable. The author knows her way around a physical love scene and proves it again and again throughout the chapters. With the help of the mystical aspect of their kind, love is gone about differently but no less effectively. Certainly, if readers like a good romp, Tinderbox is going to deliver. Also, it ends with a nice hook that grabbed my imagination and set me up for wanting more about a certain secondary character and that’s why I enjoy anthologies so much – it opens the door for new authors, new adventures and new experiences. This one succeeded.

ASTERION

By Katalina Leon – is a mild mannered story with great descriptions, an unusual and imaginative take on the legend of the Minotaur and a hero unlike any other. Although there were some aspects of the story that sound more modern than the Middle Bronze Age, it’s a fantasy that is meant to entertain without taxing the brain. It’s a story about a woman, who, for the time period, was outspoken and strong. Since men think they’re the cat’s meow, even when they are more like dirty piglets, Larisa’s brains are not appreciated. Figures that it takes a man from a myth to appreciate her fine attributes, and Darron does a great job at “appreciating”. I enjoyed his early antics where he’s more puppy than bull and I liked the growth of his character. However, there are side effects depending upon the generic cialis 20mg health of a patient. Combined, these ingredients work generic levitra sale as a dietary supplement, to reduce your stress as well as will keep you engaged. The ending was along the lines of a grand fairy tale flavored with spice and although it was a bit unbelievable it was nonetheless fun, cute and delivers the requisite happily ever after.

DECADENT DANCE

By Aubrey Ross – is a fantastical science fiction romance that starts off contemporary and jets off into the unknown by means of wearing a simple sexy dress. Somebody else’s greed ends up sending this poor unsuspecting woman on the adventure of her life. Just in time too, because the story opens up with her at a crossroads in her career and her trepidation and uncertainty of her future was causing her no end of worry. What happens next makes her initial problems pale in comparison. I think being faced with a handsome man of gigantic proportions, speaking an unknown language and wearing odd clothes certainly spun Zoe’s world into the Twilight Zone.

Vaden is the confused but determined hero. The heroine may not know what’s going on but he does and it’s causing him no end of frustration on many levels because he believes Zoe should know. The fact that she doesn’t slowly dawns on him and for the first time, this uber-macho warrior is at a loss. So what does a man do in that situation? What any red blooded, horny and single-minded man does — seduces her into compliance. I enjoyed that he ended up being seduced as much as Zoe was. The author wrote the passionate scenes filled with fervor and desperation. It was truly a dance but of the emotional kind. For every step forward, there were steps back, and for every twirl there was a dip and twist that brought the couple together, set them apart and drew them in again. Ultimately, what Zoe discovers about herself and what Vaden discovers about his physical relationship with Zoe made this story work. It’s hot, entertaining and an interesting flip to the often used plot of a contemporary woman finding herself in another time and place.

SAHARA HEAT

by Diana Hunter – is a story that explores the value of friendship. In short, good friends never give up on matchmaking when they’re sure they are right. And the smart ones never let you see it coming. That’s the fun aspect of this story. Because the heroine didn’t have performance pressures like those other blind dates that her friend, Angie, had arranged in the past, she was free to be herself. Carla has attitude and she’s not afraid to use it. However, Josef is a man who has a secret. He’s the dominant one and the heroine’s attitude has only thrown down a gauntlet he’s only too happy to take on. Watching this relationship unfold was better than a tennis match. Ultimately, the BDSM element is explored with enough emotional and sexual detail, fans of that romance lifestyle will get a treat. I enjoyed the dialogue and the sharing of themselves to the point that I am confident that Carla and Josef really are perfect for the other; mostly because there is enough relationship growth to make it believable. It was a good read.

FATMAN and ROBYN

by Jaid Black – The opening salvo to this short story is intensely humorous and is so off the wall, it’s an immediate attention grabber. From there it’s a wonderfully warm and delightful romance that’s like a whipped cream topping on a very rich and decadent hot fudge sundae. Ms. Black’s contribution to this anthology is the one most filled with heart, home and happiness. It’s a gentle sigh of satisfaction after the sexual roller coaster of the previous tales. Don’t get me wrong, when Jake and Robyn finally wear each other out, it is after a lot of well written active bed scenes that met all my expectations. I enjoyed the family aspect of Robyn’s life and how Jake fit in. I liked how the author built up the sensual suspense and how the relationship grew. I even liked the little quirks of the language flipping – so real and likeable. The dialogue was cool and the characters had personality; pretty much everything in this story worked. It was the best happily ever after of the lot. Ms. Black has a winner with this one.

Something Wicked This Way Comes, Vol 2 is a credit to the authors who contributed to its existence. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Even if a reader isn’t into BDSM or Sci-Fi, there’s a romantic commonality that binds them together. I found the choices of plot, venue, dialogue and character made all the difference. And since they all have happily ever afters or happily for now with a strong element of anticipated future happiness, every story met my expectations. They’re true pleasers on many levels and is a book that should not be missed.

He left the Marines after deciding that the don’t-ask-don’t-tell policy was more than he could abide. He returned home in search of a simple life, one devoid of the insanity he’d endured in Iraq. Brandon Matthews is an exceptional man, both in body and in mind. His magnetic personality and exceptional good looks were an impenetrable wall behind which this damaged man safely hid. His journey found him working days as a carpenter, and nights as “eye candy” at a local gay bar.

The two men find themselves on a tumultuous journey of emotional and sexual revelation that threatens to destroy them both. The intense sexual relationship binds them in a way neither one expects.

The question remains—will the deep sexual bond bring the two men together in a deep and enduring love? Or will it destroy them?

So much drama, so much angst, but such a great read.

I must admit I’ve had this book on my shelf for quite a while. I’d walk past it and take it down, only to put it back. Why? I’d read the first few pages and was sucked in, but I put it back because I didn’t want the story to end. I knew it had to–there’s only 170 pages. I’m glad I read the book, I only wish I’d gotten to it a LOT faster.

Initially I wasn’t impressed with Brandon. He grated on my nerves because he had so much baggage. That said, the farther I got in the book, the more I respected him and the more I fell in love with him. He’s complex and Mr. Deveraux wrote him with such care, I felt like I was right there and could hug Brandon. Heck, I wanted to. The descriptions put me right in his shoes. I liked Daniel, even when he got irksome. Why? I understood his feelings and could identify with him. He’s a good man trying to figure out how to get what he wants out of life. Loved it.

Before I go any further, there were a few things that kept me from fully enjoying this book. Many times the same descriptions were used for the same character. I liked knowing how hot both men were, but felt there were times when I didn’t need to be told again. I enjoyed Mr Deveraux’s story telling. There were times I wasn’t sure where the characters lived, but it never yanked me from the story.

I do have to mention there are more than a couple scenes that aren’t for the faint of heart. There’s a great deal of sexuality in the story and Mr Deveraux handles the emotions behind the acts well. If the reader isn’t expecting a BDSM scene, then it could come across as a shock. Don’t get me wrong, the scene made the book and gave me greater insight into the characters. The scene scorched the pages of the book and left me needing a cold drink. Yeah, it’s that intense.

There aren’t many books with characters who stick with me after the last page. This book is one of those rare exceptions. I wanted to spend more time with Daniel and Brandon. Good for me, there’s two more books in the series. I can’t wait to get my hands on them. If they are anything like this book, they will be worth the read. If you want a book that’s strong on emotion and sex as well as a pair of characters guaranteed to wrap around your heart, then this is the book for you.

Aiden Cole can be anything men want—naughty schoolboy, palace slave, virgin twink, or slutty secretary. He’s a gifted actor with a gorgeous body who gives legendary head. Aiden could have his pick of any Top in the local leather bar, but is drawn to Scott Runge—a cruel, sexy Dom who pushes Aiden to his limits, allowing Aiden to experience the excitement and danger of the BDSM lifestyle to a degree he never has before. But when Scott goes too far, injuring Aiden, Aiden withdraws from the BDSM scene completely. Until he meets Keaton Hughes.

Keaton’s looking for something he can’t find in any dungeon: A domestic discipline relationship, in which he can provide his partner with guidance, support, and loving discipline. When Keaton takes Aiden in after Aiden’s traumatic encounter with Scott, he vows not to pursue any sort of relationship with the troubled sub. But as Aiden struggles to overcome the damage Scott has done and get his life back on track, Keaton’s rules might be just what he needs.

It took being completely dominated to break Aiden and it will take domination to put the pieces back together.

Aiden’s lover, Scott, is a real masochist who does everything and anything to break Aiden’s spirit. There were parts at the beginning of the story that showed this relationship and I found it bit hard to read. The author shows how Aiden went from a beautiful butterfly to one with his wings slowly torn away. While I understand why they did this, I almost wish some of it had been toned down a bit in the story.  It was difficult for me to read because of the graphic violence and demoralization of Aiden. This story is definitely not for the faint of heart; there’s some extreme violence, and forced sexual scenes that may leave some a little queasy.

While Aiden and Scott’s relationship is a good representation of everything wrong that can happen, Keaton and Aiden’s relationship definitely shows all that can be good in caring for another person. Keaton is willing to do anything to see Aiden whole again. Whether it be a friend, lover, or strong hand, he’s willing to be whoever Aiden needs. I have to say, I really loved Keaton’s character because he had a strong sense of who he was and what he wanted out of life. This allowed him to help Aiden realize what he also wanted from the world, even if it did not include Keaton.

The BDSM element in this story is one I was not used to with the two main characters. It was unique. After reading so many stories with a BDSM element I was impressed to actually find something new. It was refreshing and made me have a better appreciation for the author. I felt like they really understood what a true Dom/sub relationship is about.  It was portrayed perfectly between Aiden and Keaton. Keaton was not what I would consider a traditional Dom by means, but I could see how his style of dominance could really work, and it made me rethink my whole idea of what a Dom should be.

In the end, I was happy that I read this story, because I had a chance to see terrific personal and romantic development as well as a different spin on the traditional BSDM story.

Our journey began in fire…

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness—beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds… and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart…

Rarely have I read a book that made me feel so much. I experienced a kaleidoscope of emotions while reading this story. At times it was pity, then annoyance, to heartbreak and sheer joy. And to top it all off, this book sizzled.

I’m not going to lie and say the comparisons to another novel didn’t pique my interest with this book. But I’m not here to review that other work, I am here to share my feelings for Bared to You. Are there similarities? Sure, but let’s be honest with ourselves. If you’re an avid romance reader, you’ve come across a book or two that reminds you of another book or two. How many times can an Alpha male be written? Or a vampire? Or a shifter? When something is receiving so much attention, it’s impossible not to be compared. But that’s grossly unfair to this book and the other.

First we meet Eva, a sweet down to earth woman who comes from money, thanks to her mother’s advantageous marriages. Despite never wanting for anything, she decides to go to college and make her way in the world by getting a job. Shocking, I know. As the book progresses you understand why she needs this standard of normalcy. It’s not a want, but an absolute need.

We also get to meet Cary, a super sexy up and coming model who is Eva’s brother from another mother. But in actuality they are each other’s support system. And if ever two people needed one other, it was these two. They are the ones who call it when the other has their head too far up someplace it shouldn’t be. For all the reasons that they were brought together, they were extremely lucky to have the relationship they did.

And then there’s Gideon. Oh, dark and dangerous Gideon. While he’s compared to another fictional who is also dark and dangerous, I felt Gideon is very much different. Is he controlling, of course. However, Gideon shuts down his emotions. Does it affect his personality? Absolutely, but Gideon builds a wall so thick that he’s almost childlike when it comes to emotions of the heart. Because he’s never had them as an adult. Until he meets Eva.

“As he stared back, he altered…as if a shield slid away from his eyes, revealing a scorching force of will that sucked the air from my lungs. The intense magnetism he exuded grew in strength, becoming a near tangible impression of vibrant and unrelenting power.” I shivered a little at this. Here you see he’s a dominant person, you feel it. Eva responds to it, even if she’s terrified by her reaction.

Together, they are explosive. Their love making, their fast growing emotions, their possessiveness, their everything is scorching. From the first time they touch until the last page, no matter how tumultuous their relationship is, it’s the passion that grips you. Gideon and Eva are almost too passionate for their own good. They break self imposed rules, experience firsts together, and live in a non-structured Dominate/submissive relationship.

I wanted to point out that I listed ‘forced seduction’ as an element of this book. It’s not what I think of as hard core forced seduction, but more as seduction used to bend Eva to Gideon’s will. He uses his arsenal of knowledge when it comes to Eva to bend her his will, or stop a fight, or whenever there’s something they are having a hard time dealing with. There were a few times where I felt myself go “ummm”, so I felt it would be better to safe than sorry.

In closing, I adored this book for so many reasons. I can’t tell you the last time I blushed from my neck to the roots of my hair. There’s a scene that just flat out floored me, and I read it three times to make sure I got all the details in my highly imaginative mind. Ms. Sylvia Day did a fantastic job with this. The writing was superb, the characters flawed, overall just stellar work. I will be anxiously awaiting Deeper in You when it releases where we will be able to continue the story of Gideon and Eva.
