Vagnashians enjoy an environment heavy with sulfur, and no matter how much she tries, she always has a small amount around her. She considers this an improvement on what could have happened as she had read that the Alpha and Xyran male species seemed to pass women around.

Her life completely changes when meets Nalan and his bond mate Gelar, both of whom are Alphas They came to trade crystals the other species use for their communication devices. They were both taken aback by her presence, as it was dangerous for a human female to be alone on the fringes of space. I love how Nalan got to her to decide to go on their ship.

As it turns out, what Leah read about the Alphan society was completely wrong. They do not keep slaves. They told her that they prefer their mates to come to them willingly, both men are taken with her and have a great imagination of what they would like to do with her. It was fun watching them learn just how sexual a human can be and how open minded. She would have not been able to choose between the two and that is why their relationship works.

There were a few things that I would have liked to see change.  I wish the story had been longer so the reader could get to know more about the Alphan society and their fight with the Xyran. It would also have been nice to find out exactly how the warriors bonded and what exactly is causing the female birth rate to be low. It is hinted at but not clearly explained. I also would have liked to get more of Leah’s background and watch her more slowly fall in love.

If you’re looking for a menage story, then this might be the one for you.

I thoroughly enjoyed the world-building in here and the characters were a delight. I would love to read more in this series, and I sincerely hope Jonah has his HEA.

A wonderful, gentle read that I absolutely recommend.

There are battles of different kinds being waged in this story and it makes for a great read as the pages almost turn themselves.

If you are looking for a fantasy romance, then I have no hesitation in recommending this quick read.

I wasn’t sure if Portia’s antagonism toward Malik would sit right with me – she made an awful lot of snap judgments about him that I wasn’t too keen on – but Malik’s smooth and confidant manner balanced Portia’s judgy antagonism pretty well to my mind and I ended up not wanting to beat my head on the desk over her rudeness. I felt at times that Portia’s dislike of Malik was portrayed as a little too strong to make it believable that her dislike of him could be overcome by her physical and sexual attraction him. I mean, why agree to go on a date with a guy you’ve spent almost the entire first half of the book castigating to the reader? There was clearly attraction and chemistry under the annoyance, but I felt this could have been a little better balanced as Portia’s vitriol to Malik appeared stronger than her curiosity or attraction to him.

Once Malik and Portia went on their date I just disconnected my brain, ignored logic and simply relaxed into the story and enjoyed it for what it was – a love/hate style of romance. While I enjoyed the story a lot more once I stopped taking it so seriously, I found the ending to be particularly steamy. I feel it definitely rounded out the story but there was an extremely interesting twist in the last few pages that clearly showed the reader both that there will be a following story and a lot more to come. Readers who want something that definitively stands alone might not be satisfied with this ending with the tease about what’s coming next, but I personally felt it added a whole new aspect to the story and was a little disappointed that the author left it until the last few moments of the story to add this new element in. I feel it could have really made the story a whole lot better and more rounded if this element been added and explored within this story. I feel I would have enjoyed it much more for that but it has certainly whetted my appetite for the next installment.

With interesting – and antagonistic – characters and a really good, steamy sex scene towards the end I feel this short story will hit the right notes for a number of people.

I felt it was mentioned a few too many times, ramming the thought home instead of allowing it to flower.

On the positive side, the writing, in general, is brilliant, giving you plenty of clear descriptions so you can see what is happening in your head. The characters have their roles to play and even manage to surprise you along the way. I did love the ending and thought it perfect for this story.

A really good story with supernatural hints that I can definitely recommend.

The worst thing that ever happened to Chris was seeing his dog so limp and injured saving him from certain death.

I enjoy the character of Chris, a man of extreme loyalty, courage, bravery, and the ability to know what he wants and to pursue it until the end. A great example of his loyalty is when he finds out that Dumb Ass was injured seriously but luck was on his side as none of the bullets had entered any essential organs, but he is now suffering from PTSD. He would not be able to continue being a military working dog and Chris was given two options, put Dumb Ass to sleep or adopt him. For Chris it was a no brainer, he would not leave his partner and made the hard decision to adopt him. He knows that it is not going to be easy trying to help his dog and himself adapt to civilian life. On top of that, he had to decide his own future as he is wondering if he should re-enlist. You can tell that he is getting tired of going through certain death situations and the last mission opened his eyes. They figure that their last mission went so wrong because there was a mole hiding somewhere in the CIA. She also found out she was pregnant and even though it was unplanned, she is going to do the best she can raising her child on her own.

When Chris and Samantha meet each other for the first time, you can already get the sense of attraction, especially when he gave her a nickname–Red–after only a few moments. It was also sweet seeing how Chris handled Dumb Ass when they were at the vet for the first time, she could see the love a trust between them, breaking her heart a little. Dumb Ass also seems to take a liking to her when he first meets her, even giving a lick to her.

I absolutely adore Chris’s family, as each on had been adopted by the Gonzalez family and are extremely close. It seems that everyone that meets the family is drawn into the love that overflows the home and the ties that bind each brother to each other. Their mother makes sure her sons know how much she cares for them and so does their father. For example, when he went to their house, he was enveloped a much-needed hug, spoiled with a great dinner, and watching sports with his father with a beer and getting the gossip of all his other brothers lives.

Things became interesting when Chris comes back home to his cabin and his gut and instincts let him know something was wrong. He feels so wary that he ends up calling squad leader, Dean Davis, and asking if any of the team had checked in. Chris is drawn into an idea of building a special unit to keep other special operatives from going through the same issues that his team had. As it turns out his instincts were right when he spots Tayseer around the town, but his frustration his palpable when he couldn’t pinpoint an exact location.

Luckily, his brother, Dwayne is a private investigator which comes in handy when Samantha’s ex-husband shows up. Again, Chris’s emotions get the better of him and even though he can’t place what they all meant; he did know that he couldn’t lose her.

It’s surprising how well Dumb Ass starts to heal, with Samantha and Chris’s attention and love. Chris finds it amusing and happy that Dumb Ass has taken such a shine to her and is often seen to protect her.

After that Chris brings her to his cabin and the rest of his team descends upon him. Again, the love and adoration are shown in every moment they share. His family also takes her in, just like the other strays that come along. You can feel her emotions as she feels what she has been missing for so long, the protection and the love of a strong family that enfolds her.

The only thing that I have a problem with this story is how fast the relationship develops between Chris and Samantha. They both realize it though so that does help but in only a few weeks they end up in bed together, which surprised me especially considering her past. It’s also amazing how fast Dumb Ass heals.

This is a wonderful story that shows how a dog that needs help can bring two people together. It also shows how a woman can gain her own independence after a horrible tragedy. She also ends up helping Chris overcome his own problems, to me they bring strength to each other.  A wonderful story for those that love dogs and a wonderful family that sticks together no matter the circumstances.

Unlike some romantic BDSM books, this novel goes a lot deeper. The main characters are Tage and Ava and they have quite the history. It’s a long and painful one. This was a difficult read and even more difficult to write a review for. The author did a wonderful job of portraying sadism and showing the emotional side of the characters as well. Each character is so well written and different. You get the good guys, not so good guys and the ones that makes you smile with their humor.

The plot twists were brutal and painful. Intrigue Me has the sweet ‘aww’ moments, the ‘I can’t get enough of you’ moments, the ‘screw you’ moments and so on. It’s sweet, sad, with endless passion and chemistry as well as hurt; there is every emotion in that spectrum here. The author tried–and succeeded, I believe–in writing an erotic romance story which touches and captures the heart of it all, while making sure the chemistry and passion of both still burned as high as ever.

Intrigue Me is an erotic BDSM with sadism in it so readers be warned. However, it is soft as well. This book is perfect for readers who love their story plots with a lot of intense passion and heart.

Financially comfortable and at a loose end after quitting his job as a paramedic and the crazy shift hours just no longer worked for him – or his PTSD after serving in the Air Force – Foster is looking for a challenge and something to keep boredom at bay. While the whole concept of a mafe is outside the box for him, he knows it will certainly keep him busy and retain his attention.

It took me a while to get on board with Foster and Harper’s professional and romantic relationship. I’m not certain whether I just didn’t feel enough chemistry between them, or whether the whole insta-lust coupled with a professional relationship all in the space of a few hours of meeting each other just didn’t work for me. Particularly when they back-tracked the relationship after that first day, but then were intimate again mere hours after deciding to remain platonic. The entire aspect of their relationship (working vs romantic) just felt jumbled, confusing and uncertain to me – the back and forth of sexual to platonic felt weird and uncomfortable to me because Harper kept saying one thing, but then initiating something completely different. I think I just never really felt I understood what she really felt or wanted for herself and in particular from Foster. Despite the fact this story is meant to be a sexy romance I feel it would have been far stronger had the chemistry and attraction been built up from the start and Harper and Foster had given the whole situation more time to evolve more naturally and realistically. I think this would have also sold me a lot more on the chemistry and attraction between the two characters – which I really didn’t feel until almost half way into the story.

The real strength in the story I felt was the characters themselves. Harper in particular was extremely relatable to my mind. Strong, capable, modern and trying to do it all I feel she will really resonate with most readers. Foster, too, is a wonderful character and I adored him right from the outset. Watching him tackle head-on Miranda (Harper’s daughter) in an only-eat-orange-things mood and be a complete success was a highlight and Foster only improved from there. I adored his interactions with Miranda and loved how seamlessly he fit into their home and family.

With a deliciously happy ending and two strong, modern and competent characters there’s a lot to really enjoy in this story. I’m completely sold on the idea of mafe’s and am totally on board with trying more stories like this in the future.

I found this to be an interesting and sexy short story. Mount, in particular, was an enigma who I found myself drawn to almost immediately. I was pleased that Meghan and Mount didn’t just jump immediately into bed and act on their mutual attraction. I loved getting a good sense of what both characters were like and how they fit together. Watching Mount and Meghan share some of their past and experience the peace of the solitude together really helped me see that they had a good and solid foundation together to build their relationship on.

The chemistry between them was smoking hot and when they finally both acted on their feelings it felt both right and intense. I felt it took both Mount and Meghan a little too long to come to the realization that they loved each other and were perfectly suited – I adored that William, their mutual friend – had to practically beat them each over the head with the knowledge. When they finally confessed their feelings it was a lovely and deliciously romantic scene and I felt a lot of satisfaction with the happy ending.

Romantic, sexy and a total fantasy, I found this to be a brilliant short story and one I will happily reread a number of times in the future. With interesting characters and a wonderfully secluded setting this story is an awesome, quick and hot read.

Coming home for the holidays is hard, but I’ve missed my family. I’m not going to let Myron get to me. I’m also not going to be like other women and fall all over myself over him. I felt the fast pace of the romance between Myron and Kate was understandable and logical because they’d known each other, and fought their attraction, for so very long. Despite the fact they both clearly want the same thing Kate is initially skeptical. Myron has hurt her with his actions in the past and while I understand how she’s not keen to have her heart crushed I was pleased Kate let herself be swayed fairly early on in the story.

Even though Myron and Kate are not at all blood-related, I could understand if the closeness of their relationship weirds some readers out, particularly since the sex between them is explicit and prolific. For readers who enjoy this particular taboo, I think the short story should appeal. Aside from their feelings on the taboo aspect of their relationship there isn’t a lot of conflict in this story – so readers who enjoy complicated plots or large obstacles being overcome might not find this story suits their tastes. Readers who want a lighter, sexier quick read should find this fits the bill nicely.

Short and intensely explicit I enjoyed this fun and quick read.
