If you had the ability to travel through time and start again on a grand adventure, would you?

As a lonely older woman, Rose escapes into her books. With the power from a forgotten heirloom and repressed magic, she finds herself in 17th century Scotland as a young maiden. Communicating with dragons. And encountering an appealing Highlander with every time jump.

My lovely wife was in the kitchen viagra prescription for woman preparing dinner. Will Rose remain content with her solitary life, not chancing to upset the past, or will she make a leap through time for everlasting love?

It’s never too late to fall in love again.

This tale had a wonderful sense of humor. Some of the funniest scenes involved Rose’s reactions to her visits to the past. She could scarcely believe what was happening to her! The things that flew out of her mouth as she adjusted to her scenery made me giggle every single time she realized she’d once again been pulled out of her perfectly ordinary life into one that she thought only happened in storybooks.

I would have liked to see more time spent on the world building. There were certain details shared about it that were mentioned briefly once but never fully explained. I was intrigued by the glimpses into this world and wished I could have known more about them. This was especially true when it came to the connections between Rose’s world and the one she suddenly travelled to. There was so much more that could have been done with those scenes.

Rose and Connor were both witty, personable characters who were well suited for each other. I enjoyed getting to know them and taking note of all of the ways in which their personalities and interests matched up. Not only did they have a lot in common, they genuinely liked one another as soon as they met. It’s always nice to see characters hit it off like that from the very beginning.

I’d recommend A Rose in Time to anyone who has ever wished for some excitement in their life.

Everything is better at Christmas time.

Reece and Callie had fantastic chemistry. They might have seemed to be polar opposites at first glance, but they shared much more in common than I originally assumed. Figuring out what those commonalities were was a great deal of fun, especially once they began to slowly draw these two lonely souls together. The more I learned about them, the stronger my hope became that they’d figure out a way to find their happily ever after.

While I generally wouldn’t expect to see as much character development in a short story as I would in something full-length, it would have been helpful to have more character development here. Everyone felt a bit flat to me, especially when it came to Reece and Callie. They both shared information about their pasts and personalities that piqued my curiosity, but there simply wasn’t enough time spent developing those parts of these protagonists in order for them to come alive for this reader.

The Christmas spirit was strong in this tale, and I’m not talking about decorations, presents, or delicious food even though there was plenty of that stuff to go around. Callie and her grandmother truly understood what Christmas is all about on a deeper level. I can’t go into too much detail about how they convinced me of that without giving away spoilers, but I can say I was pleased by how these characters demonstrated their genuine love of this time of the year.

Anyone who has ever been a tad grouchy about the holidays or knows someone who fits that bit should check out The Holiday Grouch.

Before a day full of turkey, good spirits, and family and friends at Thanksgiving dinner, Hailey Gabrien gives in to her baby sister’s usual request for company at their small town’s only bar. Returning home from New York City for the first time in years, Clark Monroe finds his parents beyond happy to see him. When he heads to the only bar around, though, he sees someone who’d prefer him to remain far, far away. A woman who emphasizes her opinion of him by giving him a black eye.

Awkwardly reunited at Thanksgiving dinner, Hailey and Clark struggle to sort out what seems to be a misunderstanding from the past. After thanks are said and leftovers are stored, can they consider exploring an undeniable attraction and share dessert?

It isn’t always immediately obvious who might be soulmates.

There was a scene early on that made me chuckle. Let’s just say that Hailey’s behavior when someone sexually harassed her while she was trying to relax and have a good time was as on point for her personality as it was surprising for this genre. I was proud of how she handled that situation and immediately interested in getting to know her better.

I would have liked to see more time spent resolving the conflicts between Hailey and Clark. They definitely had chemistry, but their previous experiences with each other had caused so many bad feelings that I was expecting a longer period of hashing things out. They both had good reasons to dislike and mistrust each other. I needed more evidence that they’d fixed those issues before they moved on to anything else.

One of the most refreshing things about this story was the way it compared life in a small town to life in a big city. The characters all had different preferences about where they’d ideally like to live, but everyone expressed those views in a positive way and without putting down others for wanting to live in a smaller or bigger place. They also were quick to acknowledge the benefits and drawbacks of either choice. This nuanced approach to deciding where to live is something I love seeing and hope will become much more common in the future.

Thanksgiving Dinner should be read by anyone who has ever wondered what their cute high school classmates might be up to these days.

When they meet by chance at Oliver’s work Christmas party can the turn their fledgling flirting from the train and make something more stable of it?

I really enjoyed this slow-paced and romantic holiday romance. I loved the buildup between Oliver and Noah – the fact they didn’t just eye each other off in the train, fall instantly in lust and jump into bed. Oliver was shy and very lonely and Noah might have been successful in his career but he wanted to be liked for himself and not his bank balance. I was pleased that each man was realistic, relatable and the author gave me enough time to get to know them both independently to want them to come together and see how they could form a relationship together.

I felt the conflict in the story was a little cliched but enough of the surrounding sub-plot, who Oliver and Noah both really were and their deep and genuine attraction to each other, managed to carry the story through this roughness. Readers looking for a fresh or unique story-line won’t find that here, but I was really pleased both Oliver and Noah’s characters were interesting and relatable. The sex between the two men was equal parts tender and hot, and I was really impressed that the author didn’t rush to have them jump into bed or fall in insta-lust.

With a good pace, strong characters and a lovely Christmassy setting this story had a lot going for it and overall I really enjoyed it.

It seems it’s not only her own future she has to decide but his as well. There’s just one problem with Roddy Boyd, and it’s up to her to decide their fate. Does she want to make that decision?

Ginny had always been intrigued about the Dower house of Lemachard. She adored hearing stories about the various ancestors who had lived there at different times and while she was thrilled when the house passed on to her it came as a surprise. Discovering the place has more than a few complications confuses Ginny, but she’s determined not to let go of the house she’s instantly fallen in love with.

I enjoyed this short story. While the plot wasn’t anything new or very different, I found it well written with a good, fast pace so it kept my attention and curiosity. I was eager to find how Ginny would deal with the strangeness of the situation she found herself in. I found it quite difficult in places to work out what was real, what was “memories” and what was paranormal aspects and I’m not sure if it was the fast pace of the story that made it confusing or the merging of past and present without any real indication of what was “real” and what was previous. While I could roll with it – my own curiosity was enough to keep me reading wanting answers – I could understand if this merging and back-and-forth is a bit too much for some other readers.

Despite the confusion I enjoyed the banter between Ginny and Roderick and found their chemistry believable even though it leaned heavily towards instant attraction. Their shared history and ancestry weighed heavily on my acceptance that their short courtship and attraction was believable and there were enough other plot elements swirling around in this short story that I don’t feel the author had many other options available.

I felt this story was more of a paranormal romance rather than strongly erotic story. Readers who like their romances adventurous and explicit might not find this aspect of the story satisfies. Personally, I enjoyed the fact Roderick and Ginny sorted out their history and the paranormal aspects first before becoming intimate.

With two interesting and very complicated characters and a lot of plot entwining them together this was a good, quick read.

Ezra had accidently walked in on his roommate getting a blowjob from his girlfriend. While the accident had completely shocked both men, Ezra couldn’t help but recall Malik had held his gaze for a few seconds longer than any straight man he knew. Ezra had so many questions about Malik and the sexual tension that thrummed between them, so during a drinking game just between the two of them he finally asks Malik and the answer that he was in completely open relationship both surprised and enticed Ezra. Can something come from the incredible tension between all three of them?

I found this to be an interesting and complex story that I really enjoyed. Through more than the first half of the story it was quite clear that Ezra and Malik were attracted to each other, and that Malik and his girlfriend Portia cared about each other but weren’t interested in being exclusive. And while I didn’t really get sold on there being the potential for anything long-term between Ezra and Portia there was clearly some chemistry and romantic tension between them as well. The complexities of these relationships and the way they were evolving was gripping and I was pleased the author kept the story revolved strongly around this. There was ample tension as well between Malik/Ezra as a “will they won’t they” sexual chemistry and I felt it worked really well and was unique enough I eagerly continued to turn the pages waiting to see what happened next.

There is only the one sex scene between the two men and while the quantity might not suit all erotica readers I feel the constantly sizzling chemistry makes up for a lot of that lack. And when Malik and Ezra finally do hit the sheets – man oh man it is well, well worth the wait. Smoking hot and extremely satisfying.

I thought this story was excellent in how realistic it was and also how modern I could see it being. This isn’t a cliched or stereotypical style of story and I found that so refreshing. While sure, I was lost a few times and I wondered a lot if this would become a M/M/F style of menage (it flirts closely with that – but ultimately doesn’t fulfil that in this story) this really is just a story about three people who are linked in various complicated ways trying to all sort out an equilibrium where they can all be happy and have their needs met. For that – and for the excellent writing unwinding all those complications, this is an excellent story.

Different and fresh, readers looking for a story somewhat outside the box should find this happy and satisfying. I enjoyed the slower pace and while I don’t feel this will be hot or explicit enough for all erotica readers I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As is usual for the Shifter world, once two shifters meet who are meant to be, it happens pretty quickly. In this though, Max is the one to keep things slow as he gives Caterina time to come to terms with her past. I loved that about him.

Plenty of characters and plenty of action to keep my attention, this was a fast-paced story that flowed from one scene to the next. Definitely recommended by me.

Bonnie was an MC princess, only child and daughter of the club prez. And now she was graduating high school – it was Hawke her dreams and desires were firmly entrenched upon. Can Bonnie convince Hawke she is finally all grown up and get his attention?

I found this to be a well written and hot story. I was pretty disappointed with the first third of the book. It largely centered around Bonnie going to prom with a scumbag teenage boy to make Hawke jealous. As the “off limits” daughter of the president and Hawke being her long-standing bodyguard and only confidant there was clearly chemistry between them that Hawke didn’t feel able to act upon. The fallout from Bonnie’s plan to make Hawke jealous was cliched to my mind and I really feel the problems between Hawke and Bonnie could have definitely been resolved in a different – and far less cliched – manner.

Once Hawke and Bonnie are on the same page though this story really lifted up to my mind. I really enjoyed the second two thirds of the story and am glad I persevered through Bonnie’s initial immature actions. Some of the club politics came into play and the whole storyline became not just interesting – but really fresh and well written. Hawke’s character was absolutely front and center – and I grew a lot more fond of him and sympathetic to him – as this part of the story wound along. I also really enjoyed Devil’s character – the Vice President and brother to Saint, the prez. I’d happily read more about Wizard – the club’s hacker genius. Wizard was a very brief secondary character but I was intrigued by what little was shown of him.

With plenty of steamy sex and some time for Hawke and Bonnie to rearrange the boundaries to their long-standing relationship this story has a lot going for it. While Bonnie is quite young this story is written with humour and some solid secondary characters and enough plot I feel most erotica readers should find it satisfying.

Considering she grew up in and around the club, Sable and Dog have known each other for quite a long time. Her mom and sister are part of the club–neither as old ladies.

This is the 6th book in the series. There is a theme of breeding. Get your gal–your one and only–pregnant. Dog is possessive and an alpha. Sable knows Dog and has been in love with him forever. The journey of her being a part of the club and suddenly agreeing to do be the bait to get information was emotional for Sable. It did feel like she was taken for granted.

There is an underlying mystery here that makes this worth the read. The authors have tried to make the reader connect with the characters but I have not been able to do it. I don’t really think this book is a standalone. I am not reading in order and I do wish there was a lot more backup or details to both of the characters. That may be something covered in other installments.

It took some time to like the characters in the first half of the book. Dog had specific characteristics in mind for his old lady–some were a bit unrealistic and made him hesitant toward having a relationship with her. That being said he does try to make up for it afterward. The book has a secondary plot which I liked. Seeing the mystery unfold and their relationship with it was great. I loved the 2nd half of the story and the climax.

I would suggest the book for readers who do not mind the topic of the series, but think they should probably try to read it in order.
