Ambrosia — When I went to the penthouse, I was expecting a playboy. I wasn’t even surprised when the playboy in question answered the door stark naked. The gun surprised me, but, hey. I just roll with it because it’s a job. Given my present circumstances, work is hard to come by. My crazy ex, Tyler, got put in prison, and his equally crazy father, Richmond, decided it was my fault. He’s managed to get me fired from every job and kicked out of every apartment I’ve landed since. What I need is a hero. Unfortunately, those are in short supply. Until I catch the attention of a crazy, naked man wielding a gun. Sensing a theme here?

Torpedo — After more than a month on the roof of the world, I’m ready for some sunshine. The last thing I need or expect is another woman vying for my attention. The cute little thing who has the job of being my personal butler while I’m on vacation changes all that. She’s professional and courteous, never coming on to me like most women do. Lord knows I gave her reason to, answering the door naked as the day I was born. She runs fast enough when I inform her I was in the middle of a self-pleasuring session, though. Can you see my smirk? Unfortunately, she doesn’t need a naked man in her life. She needs a hero. One to slay her demons. Fortunately for her, that man is me.

I’m glad I chose this story based on the blurb and plot and not the book cover. What’s within was well worth reading and it does reinforce that communication and maturity are definite pluses when it comes to a successful relationship.
Take note that whenever viagra canada deliver you are faced with the problem of paying for prescription medication. This is done cheap viagra by releasing greater amounts of nitric oxide in male body. The problem here: PDE6 also plays an important role in the production of semen in your pfizer viagra generic body. There is indeed viagra ordination a link between impotence and smoking.
The basic premise is of a young woman who stands up for herself, is willing to accept the fallout and muddle through life somehow with plans to stay one step ahead of her ex’s father, who has it in for her. The author presented the heroine as someone who isn’t afraid of hard work, has a good head on her shoulders (icky ex-fiancé aside), and in spite of all of it, remains sort of innocent in many ways. I liked Rose, a/k/a Ambrosia.

The hero, Gavin, a/k/a Torpedo, sure knows how to make a good first impression. I think that’s the part of the blurb that made me grin and I simply had to find out the backstory of such a choice. The author gives me enough background for me to understand why Torpedo is the man he is; rough, confident and although coarse, cleans up rather well. I like a hero that makes an effort to show himself in a good light without compromising who he is. The fact that he can be both sides of a coin is realistic to me. No one is all bad-boy or all snooty goody two shoes – the hero is sort of in the middle, tough but with manners and an aptitude to fit into any crowd on either end. Torpedo is much more interesting because he’s on that darker side. Sometimes, you need a hero with a few dents and rust on his armor and he fits Rose’s situation and needs perfectly.

The only thing about this story that I wasn’t keen on was some of the language. It’s not over the top by any means, but I would have been happier with more F words and less, or no, G words. But, it is an MC romance, so probably expected.

The author doesn’t spend much time on angst about the age difference for which I was grateful. Rose received the benefits of a man who knows how to appreciate a woman, realizes that communication defuses assumptions, fears and prevents misinterpretations, and has the patience and maturity to work through things without being selfish. I think that’s the part I liked about Torpedo; he wasn’t selfish. Well not totally. By that I mean, yes, he wanted Rose and he wanted sexual completion, but he made darned good and sure that the heroine was ready for him, in all ways. That’s where the eroticism plays out most effectively. Torpedo made sure that it was her choice and he wasn’t going to force the issue. Basically, he respected her, and gave her all the sensual tension she could handle plus more. That’s why this story worked for me.

A little bit of drama spiced up the plot and again, showed a reader just how ready, willing, and very able Torpedo and his MC family are to defend Rose. It was a tad brutal, but the author included just enough to get the point across. No one messes with Rose. Ever.

Even though this was a novella length, the author included every element I look for in order to make this a worthy read. I really enjoyed it and I have no doubts that Torpedo and Rose are perfect for each other.

This collection of steamy erotic tales includes Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, Bigfoot, and Elves, to name just some of the original titles but the reader isn’t constrained to only western mythology. They are short stories to you have to assume a lot with the world-building. However, being as they are all well-known, although not this alternative version – you don’t have to imagine too much. In homage to the original fairy-tales, some of these have an added layer of creepiness – just to keep you on your toes.

I enjoyed all of the stories which were entertaining and steamy, exactly as described. A couple of them I would have preferred to be longer, and some, shorter. A great summer read or one to curl up with on a dark night! Recommended by me.

Can she pull herself away from yet another toxic relationship, or will Caleb prove there’s more to him than just sex appeal?

Fireworks are definitely going off in this steamy novel.

Imogen sort of likes Caleb and he’s infatuated with her. There’s one or two issues. She’s super buttoned up and he’s a pill. No one thinks he can do his job because his father is hard on him. She refuses to let anyone in because she’s convinced they’ll leave her.

Conundrum, isn’t it?

I liked this story and read it in the course of an afternoon. It’s a quick read and the writing flows well. I felt like I was right there with the characters. Caleb is more than he seems and I liked seeing him grow through the book. Imogen was more of an issue for me. She’s a nice girl and a good character. I rooted for her to have her happy ending. The thing is, she can be incredibly distrusting and overthinks a lot. The overthinking was a bit much, but some people are like that. The scene in the club is hot, hot, hot. She is soft spoken with few friends and she rarely says no. She also likes to make people happy but this was one such occasion where it backfired. Beast is the Enforcer for the Salvation Bane and is used to blood on his hands. Though they are opposites, I love how comfortable she becomes with him. Their interactions are fun to read because she is not afraid to speak her mind with him. I have learnt that is unusual for her. But going through what she has gone through and meeting him, I can see why she would go through those internal changes.

A few possible trigger warnings: I would like mention that there are scenes of torture. The next point I would like to mention is the sex scenes do include anal sex/anal play.

This is not the first book in the series and it is a pretty short story. However, it did keep me connected and reading until the end. Fleur and Beast have an explosive chemistry which is exciting to read though there is much more to the story.

This is wonderful story for readers who love MC, who are okay with reading some harsh scenes and enjoy love’s explosive chemistry.

Now The Stag, Kern, is on the prowl — but he wants more than a one night stand with his perfect Faunus. If he can only convince his little mate to take a chance on him, and still protect his not-so-innocent lover from those who would do him ill for the magic contained in his body…

Who would have thought that going to a nightclub could completely change your life? Thomas certainly never imagined that but change it did.

This is the first book in a series so you get the introduction but not much of the nitty-gritty of our main characters’ histories. You do find out why Thomas is skittish at the thought of being with Kern but that’s about it. There is an amazing cast of supporting characters that I can’t wait to find out more about – whether through the continuation of Thomas and Kern’s story or their own.

The set up for the world isn’t exactly clear but I’m thinking it’s contemporary with a dash of fantasy. In other words, supernaturals are amongst us, we just don’t have a clue. I love the history about Manx and their protection but still, I want to know more.

This novella does end on a cliffhanger so consider yourself warned. Personally, all it’s done for me is make me want the second book immediately. I thought the ending was brilliant and perfectly fitting for this portion of the story.

If you don’t like cliffhangers, then it may be best if you wait for them all because, trust me, this is a fantastic book. Highly recommended by me.

The highlight for me was when Helen goes from not trusting him to falling in love with him. That kind of change takes time. I loved it because it showed both of their personalities. Mikayla had come to Pelican Point to enjoy the summer, but also to try and sort out her life. When her old bodyguard shows up she’s surprised, but Austin has news that will rock – and forever change – Mikayla’s world.

This is a short and fast-paced erotic romance story. I enjoyed Austin and Mikayla’s characters and it was clear their long and deep history together had been leading to this exact point where Mikayla was all grown up and Austin was ready to claim her as his own. Readers looking for a deeply paranormal story with intense world-building won’t find that here. While there are magical elements to the story I wish there had been a bit more depth to the world-building. The author handed out some excellent snippets – the looming “Council” position that Mikayla was destined to take up, a potion and a few short bits of performing magic – but overall it felt like the world was just like ours with a few paranormal elements thrown in. I would have enjoyed some more depth to history or explanations about the Council and how/why some people had magical abilities and how they worked.

I enjoyed the romance and steam between Austin and Mikayla and it was deliciously clear they were destined to be together. I couldn’t help that feel both Austin and Mikayla made enormous, life-changing decisions with serious implications rather suddenly and found the situation jarring. Each of them made a complete about-face (Austin about his betrothal and Mikayla about the Council seat) with very little build-up and while I can appreciate there wasn’t a lot of room in such a short story it really felt to me like they were bolts out of nowhere. I would have felt a lot more confidant in their decisions had there been a little more build up, or explanation as to why or how they came to make these important choices, particularly since mere pages before the decisions were made they were expressing polar-opposite opinions. As the reader I wanted to see the lead up both from Austin and Mikayla as to how their opinions changed so drastically and be led with them on this choice – rather than just be told “bang” they had completely changed their mind and were making this life-altering decision.

The last third of the book was absolutely the high point for me – with both a strong magical thread running through the plot and Mikayla and Austin both embracing their love and future I thoroughly enjoyed the way in which the author wrapped up this short story.

With plenty of plot and two interesting characters this overall was a good read.

Ardie and West have been best friends since the first day of grade two. Through all the highs and lows, the laughter and tears that life brings the men remain friends – the bond formed on that first day never wavering. And when West eventually calls as his life shatters, Ardie doesn’t hesitate, leaving behind his farm and siblings to be there to help pick up the pieces, to remind West of the simple family love that’s been constant throughout each of their lives.

This is an absolutely amazing story. Readers who love a long, slow drop into love, particularly those “friends to lovers” style of story should find – as I did – that this one is just perfect. A little over the first half of this book shows Ardie and West’s friendship, life and love from the beginning. At first I was a bit nervous, worried the background would bog down the story – but I feel the author did a really amazing job managing to balance this side to the story.

The pace moved fast enough that I didn’t feel in a hurry to get to the present day – where West calls Ardie for help – but instead this helped show the rock-solid foundation of friendship and life that the two men had together. It showed them growing up from boys into men and led us on the paths their lives each took. Woven throughout all this was the friendship – and love – that carried the men through the usual highs and lows of a lifetime. I particularly loved how there wasn’t drama merely for the sake of it – Ardie and West’s lives each held plenty of peaks and troughs and this was ample conflict, plot and tension, the solidness of their friendship, the unwavering love and support didn’t need mis-communications or drama or angst to make it interesting and vibrant and I am so very glad the author kept away from those kinds of tropes.

While the first half of the book focused on how the boys became men and reached their early thirties in life, this slow romantic pace felt just right for such a lovely full length novel. It gave me as the reader time to really relax and enjoy and get hooked on each man. This is the first book in a very long time – months for sure, if not the whole year – that had me reading long into the night and finishing it in one sitting. It was addictive in the most wonderful sense and I simply couldn’t stop and put it down to go to sleep. When West finally reaches rock bottom and calls Ardie, the second half of the story shines even brighter than the first. I was particularly pleased the two men – after a lifetime of being there for each other, supporting and helping one another and loving each other – didn’t simply fall into bed. Their pace increased, sure, but it was still natural, logical and so realistic I wish I knew them for real because it was just a beautiful, wonderful story.

Readers looking for something kinky or crammed full of sex won’t find that here. This book is one of those rare gems that, sure has some smoking hot M/M sex, but is full of all the other wonderful aspects of a solid romance. There’s a large and strong cast of secondary characters, primarily Ardie’s family and a few important people coming and going in West’s life. There is the wonderful road of two lives – similar but different and inextricably woven together forever. There is laughter and tears and so much joy and love it makes me want to burst and go right back to the start immediately and re-experience it all over again.

This is a wonderful, heartfelt and amazing story, one that is absolutely going onto my keeper shelf and one I can most strongly recommend.

As an ex-military man, Mason appears to be the perfect PA, and even though Stone is blind, he knows when he’s attracted to a man and Mason is just what Stone wants.

I enjoyed this lovely short story. While I didn’t find the speed with which Stone began to trust Mason to be very realistic I was pleased with the chemistry the two men had from the start. Keeping in mind both that this is an erotic romance and a short story, I couldn’t really fault the author for the overall pace of the relationship.

Where I found this story really excelled was in the day-to-day aspect of Stone and Mason growing together and learning the differences between their lives and seeing how they meshed together. Things like Stone focused a lot more on sounds and scents – giving Mason a different perspective on “seeing” the world. It was also lovely, of course, to see Stone trust Mason and get to “see” the world through his descriptions and comments.

I have to admit, at points the similarities between the two men’s name (Stone and Mason are so similar at least in my mind, both referencing a rock/brick/concrete/hard surface etc) that while they were two very distinct and different characters, the similar reference at least in my mind meant I mixed them up a number of times – which truthfully surprised me a little as that almost never happens to me. It’s a tiny niggle – and one that might just be me and my brain being odd – but it happened a number of times throughout the story so I presume at least some other readers may experience a similar thing.

The sex between the men was also smoking hot and deliciously explicit which helped the story speed along at a super fast pace. There is a lot of sex – perhaps as much as half of the story – which I feel readers should expect in an explicit romance story like this. Personally, I felt this was balanced with the growing relationship between the two men, but there wasn’t a lot of plot outside of this so readers looking for a convoluted or layered and deep story might want to consider this.

Romantic and emotional I found this to be a lovely story and despite a few quibbles about how fast it all happened and how very well the two men connected, this was a strongly written and really lovely story. Readers who like heroes that aren’t the cookie-cutter standard mould and relationships that are emotional and heart-felt should adore this story as much as I did.
