When Gillian sweet-talked Declan into removing his shirt she knew he was exactly perfect for her. Gillian loved a well-groomed man with plenty of hair and Declan admitting he was a serious top who enjoyed getting down and dirty was just icing on the cake. They each threw caution to the wind and were happy to reap the repercussions.

Fast paced and seriously sexy, this was a fun and quick read. While the sex is deliciously steamy I found myself really drawn into the plot of the story. Declan has spent months organizing a treaty and just on the cusp of success everything gets shifted around. With a few laugh-out-loud funny moments and a good balance between sex and plot this story is sure to be a great, albeit quick, read that I feel plenty of people will enjoy.

With a few clever word-puns and plays, a few fun, modern characters and some laugh out loud scenes this was a good book I really enjoyed.

Geoff’s a medical student. Hardworking, driven, tightly wound as an entire mattress factory’s worth of bedsprings. Ross is a med student too, but unless it’s got to do with math or science he has no idea what’s going on. He kind of likes it that way. It’s peaceful. Aurélien’s a med student as well. Uber-calm, uber-zen, uber-practical.

The three don’t know each other, but with study burnout and big exams coming up fast, they’re all in desperate need of some R & R. And what better way, proposes Aurélien, than getting a little action? Together. Multiple times, and in multiple ways. Sounds a little nuts to Geoff, but he’d rather his head not explode before he’s licensed. And Ross, well, he’s up for anything if it sounds like fun.

To their surprise and pleasure, once they get started these guys “work” well together. Very much so. Maybe a little too much so. Aren’t things like this supposed to be hard? Sometimes, sure. But in this case, the answer to all their questions is three.

Geoff, Ross and Aurelien are all medical students and with enormous exams coming up the three men desperately need some well earned R & R. While they only know each other in passing, none of them can find a reason to knock back Aurelien when he suggests they get a little action – together as a threesome. None of them could have guessed just how well Aurelien’s suggestion would work, but sometimes it takes three.

This is a fun and seriously smoking hot erotic story. I thought the author took just the right amount of time – letting the reader see Ross, Geoff and Aurelien interact together as regular guys before they all hit the sheets and started burning them down. I adored Ross’s character and loved that his enormous brain had some deliciously hidden depths. I also really enjoyed Aurelien’s character and enjoyed how clearly he seemed to see both Geoff and Ross and was fearless in leading the three of them together down a twisty and sexy garden path together. Geoff in many ways was a good vehicle for the reader, trying to catch up and go with the flow but needing to have the situation explained and help get to know all three men’s characters. So this balance really worked for me and I found myself enjoying the story immensely.

Once the sexual shenanigans start these three men really steam up the page. I enjoyed not just the sex but how the three guys took their time getting to explore and learn how they fit together. Usually it seems that the threesome stories I read at least two of the partners know each other or have a long-standing friendship/relationship so I found it refreshing and enjoyable to see how three near-strangers could forge an equal and intense relationship in a fairly short period of time. I was particularly pleased that Aurelien and Geoff made a concentrated effort to include Ross in their ménage – since Ross had a tendency to get distracted and his character could have easily been lost or overlooked, which I strongly feel would have been a pity and disservice to him.

Readers looking for a quick read with three vibrant and interesting characters and a whole bunch of smoking hot ménage sex should find this short story very satisfying.

Colonel isn’t expecting to fall for any woman, but with one pitstop in a small town, that’s exactly what he does. She’s being attacked by a man, so he takes matters into his own hands and he protects her.

Piper Dawes is used to men thinking she’s easy prey and she doesn’t expect the angry-looking biker to make her feel safe. He’s not staying for long, and she has no intention of falling for him.

However, he’s not leaving until he’s had her, this untouched virgin. Only, one taste is never enough.

Colonel is a nomad, and his club has no home—just the open road. He’s found the woman for him, but can Piper leave her family and predictable life behind? Will she follow him? Or is this a fling that will leave them both burned?

Piper hates how her mother and sister allow the men in their small town to use them as if they were disposable. That’s not the life Piper wants and she hopes she can keep everything together long enough to get out of town. When she’s rescued from a horrid situation by Colonel she’s grateful, but understandably cautious. Can Colonel convince her that they belong together?

This is a hot and sexy quick read. I enjoyed Piper’s character – wanting more than just to be painted in the same brush as her family but unsure how to break out of the mould when she was stuck in such a small town with narrow minds. I was really impressed that Colonel didn’t feel the need to intimidate or coerce Piper in any way.

I’m often not a fan of MC stories because I feel they flirt just a little too close to the darker side of erotic stories but this one really appealed to me. Colonel respected Piper and was intrigued by her – wanted to get to know her and while he didn’t appear to want anything lasting for quite some time into the story, he also didn’t simply want to have sex and then ditch her. I really feel the author did a good job balancing the harder edges of a realistic MC romance with the softer and more respectful aspects of an erotic story.

I also really enjoyed Piper’s perspective – yearning for more than her small town and gossiping neighbors could give her, but still showing loyalty and caring to her mother and sister. In many ways this book ticked a lot of good boxes for me and I thoroughly enjoyed the story simply for what it was – the story of two independent people attracted to each other and slowly learning how to forge a relationship between them when things were complicated. I felt the ending was a little bit rushed but aside from that this was a wonderful short story with a good balance between Piper and Colonel getting to know each other and circle one another and them consummating their relationship.

Equal parts sexy and emotional this is a good, quick read. Recommended.

The Kaius vampires have long relied on Mikhail’s empathic skills to help maintain the peace. Incessantly pummeled by the vibes of his bloodline, Mickey teeters along the narrow wall separating his emotions from those of his hauntmates. Preoccupied with preserving the harmony of the haunt, he’s never been drawn to a woman…until now.

Audra Verdi, a psychologist pulled from the bloodslave quarters, finds herself straddling a thin line herself—between the ingrained ranks dividing the vampires from the women in their sphere. She fights to survive and establish her place in a world she’s determined to change. The sensitive vampire intrigues her mind…and her heart.

When one of their own is captured by human authorities, Audra joins the hauntmates on a cross-country rescue mission. Will she find the real Mickey underneath all the swirling feelings or will the archaic customs of vampire society send her running?

The plot to this story is rather complicated and I suggest that you read the first novel before this one. It took me a while to get into the plot and figure out what was going on. The Vampires are no longer a secret and each Haunt has its own Sire. The The story focuses on the Chaos haunt, who have the best trained tenders and one of the strongest vampires.

Their society is run by having human tenders, who are trained extensively to handle the needs of all vampires including feeding and sex. These tenders are treated like cattle, being bought, and sold to different Haunts. To me, this is a disgusting part of their society. I hate how they consider humans as lesser. The blood slaves are only used to fill fresh bags of blood and are kept in a cell with minimal amenities. Tenders are at least trained to know what their roles are, and they seem to enjoy their positions. Yet, they can be bought and sold when they become too attached to a vampire.

A connected vampire is incredibly possessive and will only drink from that person. Audra is a trained psychologist and a former blood slave who keeps an eye on Molly and her recovery. Audra is an enigma to the vampires. She is not a tender, although she was a former blood slave. Audra is worried that what she had been through would cause problems with her connected. None of them know exactly how to treat her.

I really enjoyed her character because she is feisty and no-nonsense. She doesn’t let the vampires scare her and lets her opinions be known, even if they don’t want to hear it. The fun thing is watching her grow to become a member of their family. They become protective when they have to take her on a rescue mission for one of their own. Her courage is impressive.

Nichol seems to hate females. He is also known as the most irritable. He does have a huge burden to carry. His gift is empathy, and he feels everything his brethren do and can even drain some of it into himself. Audra is fascinated by him and his gift. Later, as their relationship develops she can tell which one of his brothers he is helping by his eyes.

The ending was a little rushed, but that may be because the third book picks up directly from the second. In this book, the reader is left hanging, with a big decision Audra needs to make.

All in all this is a good book after I got through the first part and figured out which character is which. I would recommend this to anyone who loves vampires.

This story takes place right before Christmas, which forces Paul and Ryan to confront their sadness, but to do it together.

The beginning was rather slow, I have to admit. It took me a while to get into the story and to know what was going on. I wanted to like Ryan and Paul from the beginning, but at times I got confused as to who was alive, who wasn’t and who was dating whom. It needed just a bit more editing to smooth out some of the edges–there were a missed word here and there and a few other oddities, but nothing that would take away from enjoying the read.

Once the story got going, it really sped along nicely. The connection was odd, but deep and I liked Paul and Ryan together. I certainly felt the angst and the creative genius in them. Plus, the hot scenes are hot.

And once a week, for just a short night, Jane belonged to Jacob – she submitted her whole life, her entire world to him and his delicious demands. Their single weekly evening was long-held and well established in it’s boundaries. So what happens when they each begin to crave more?

I really enjoyed this short story. Both Jane and Jacob have their problems – neither are the textbook perfect Dom or sub and yet this helped make them feel both more real and more relatable to me. Their imperfections and flaws helped make these two character memorable to me and helped me see that despite their seemingly perfect lives they each wanted something more from the other and were terrified in their vulnerability – scared that they might risk losing the one thing holding them both together.

I thought despite the short length of the story that the pace of the changing and growing relationship between Jane and Jacob was really good. Such a significant change when their current routine was so well established would have felt weird and unbelievable to me had it occurred too quickly. So I was really pleased with how the author paced the whole story. It was also very clear from the very beginning that Jacob and Jane were both on the same page – just each reluctant to be too forthright or enthusiastic for their own – very different – reasons. This lent the story a real air of believability to me and made it eminently relatable. Changes – particularly such drastic changes in such important relationships – can be fraught with worry and danger. So the slow, gradual easing away from the old and toward the new was wonderful to read and I really enjoyed it.

With some pretty intense BDSM scenes and a lovely slow build up this was a great, quick read and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Each man holds the friendship dear, but what happens as things slowly start to change between them?

I adored this modern and realistic short story. Both Noah and James were vibrant and layered characters who were more than just two single men with kids on the prowl. I loved how they complimented each other – Noah so calm while James could be so fearful and nervous about his child’s safety, or how James is so self-assured and knows himself inside out, but Noah is still trying to learn about himself and find his niche. The two men were far from polar opposites, they had plenty of similar characteristics, but they just seemed to mesh and work so well together as a team – to cover each other in so many respects.

I also really enjoyed how the pace of the story and romance was slow enough to be believable but fast enough to not drag. James and Noah had been meeting at the park for a number of months – so much of that “getting to know you” initial phase was completed and didn’t need to bog down the story. But each man was only really starting to come to grips with the depth and strength of their feelings for the other so I felt the story was really balance and just the right sort of pace for me.

This story was equal parts humorous, sexy and uplifting – I adored watching Noah try to grapple with his sexual identity, I loved watching James learn to trust and conquer his fear and grow strong in himself and best of all I was totally in love with the solid, romantic and sexual relationship Noah and James began to forge together through their friendship, support and shared experiences raising their children and trying to piece their lives together.

I found this to be a delightful story and one I will totally relish reading many times again in the future.

Ah, this is Esme’s story. Obviously she’s going to be the one who will save Bale from turning into a giant piece of stone but the question is, how? In books 1 & 2, she was the ultimate victim – helpless, a pawn and seemingly weak. Dragon Fall has a huge challenge to overcome and I’m happy to say I liked how the whole story arc got wrapped up. It was quite the journey getting there.

The author really focused on the plot in Dragon Fall. Every thread, plot twist and emotional conflict fed the suspense, drama and action as Esme came into her own – as a woman and as a worthy mate for a dragon. It was Bale in the previous story that figured out her engagement ring was bogus. What it did to her was pretty nefarious.

Bale used to be a true alpha dragon, but the sickness he has is killing him and it’s only a matter of time. His character is the perfect example of a tortured hero. In the previous books it sounded like he was giving up. I’m so glad his tune changed in this story. Of course romance readers are going to credit Esme, her being the heroine and all, but it’s true. She inspired him to fight, to reach out for what he wanted which was her. Staying in a dark cave on the top of a casino can’t earn him any more brownie points. Now, Bale has to come out into the light. I got a kick out of Ms. Jade’s description of the hero’s clothes and Esme’s initial reaction when he interrupted her playing the slots. Very sexy and quite fun.

There are sexy shenanigans once Esme’s effect on Bale takes hold. I was so happy to read them. Yes, they were well written but they were something I craved to read because Bale and Esme deserved every delightful groan, sigh and big O experienced between both of them. Their chemistry was irresistible and it made me happy that they were happy – eventually. They had to suffer through a lot of challenges to get to that point.

The suspense and action comes from the villainous (as Esme, Piper and Anjali liked to call Lars Ashcraft), and I quote, “ash-hole”, finally getting what he deserves in a most ironic twist. I smirked every time I read that nick-name. It’s so appropriate and I think other readers would agree once they get to ‘know’ him.

First it was Rave, then Torch, now Bale has his happy ever after. There’s nothing like happy alpha dragons loving their mates. The ending was dramatic, heroic and fitting. Dragon Fall was the perfect wrap up for a wonderful paranormal romance trilogy. I’m so happy skippy I got to finish the series. And now that I have, I can tell everyone what a fun trio of stories they are and perfect for fans of sexy dragons in love.

A casual submissive at best, Mallory isn’t keen to do more than dip a toe into the world of BDSM, but when she finally meets Mason again he tempts her to break all her own rules.

I found this to be a lovely, kinky and spicy short story. I mentally gave Mallory some major kudos for sticking to her rules and not just immediately taking Mason up on his offer when he asked her to play on their first meeting. Mallory had a fairly firm personal rule of keeping her BDSM light and uncomplicated – a bit of fun and spanking then heading home by herself and giving herself sexual satisfaction. While it slowed the story somewhat I felt respect for Mallory that she knew her person limitations – and knew that Mason would blast through her reserve and change her needs and desires – and she was reluctant to just throw caution to the wind. Her strong sense of self and sticking to her guns appealed to me and I loved this aspect to her character.

I felt quite conflicted about the paranormal aspect to the story. While I could see it added an extra element to the story – having shifters “out” in the world and the complexities that added to human and shifter interactions, in many respects this extra element felt a bit lost amongst the BDSM aspects to the story and the complexities of Mallory and Mason’s growing relationship. It felt a little like there was just one element too many in such a short story – and while individually they were all excellent plot points and very well written, it felt a little crammed together to me and there just wasn’t the time and space to really unpack and enjoy each one.

Readers who enjoy BDSM scenes should find this story really suits their needs. There is quite a descriptive scene shared between Mallory and Mason toward the end of the story and I feel it’s quite well written. Steamy and sexy I enjoyed the chemistry between Mallory and Mason and feel it should definitely satisfy most erotic readers. I personally felt that Mallory’s capitulation – both sexually and in relation to their bond – was a little sudden and didn’t feel overly realistic or logical to me. I think in large part this was due to the short length of the story and Mallory leaned a lot of new data in a short space of time and so her decisions from this appeared at least to me to come quite suddenly. A part of me wished these aspects were a bit better explained and there was more time for the reader to keep up with everything that was happening.

Sexy and kinky with two interesting and well-layered characters this was a good and hot read.
