Jenni’s home improvement plans have turned into a disaster. The only bright spot in her day is watching her handyman neighbor Rick as he helps out around the neighborhood. Jenni has need of his capable hands in more ways than one, but she refuses to become just another notch on his toolbox.

Rick is entranced by his standoffish neighbor. He has no time for the neighborhood women who throw themselves at him, but he intends to get into Jenni’s house, bed and heart if it’s the last thing he does.

Jenni Collins is attempting some Do-It-Yourself home renovations, but hasn’t managed to succeed in doing more than breaking a family heirloom and give herself some cuts and scrapes. About to indulge in some wine therapy, Jenni’s problems are interrupted by her sexy neighbor, Rick Maas. Accepting his kind offer for help, Jenni is determined to keep her mind off all the other uses she can think of for Rick. But Rick has more than some strings-free help on his mind, and nothing today has been going according to Jenni’s plan, so soon her platonic promises give way to some steamy kisses, and lots more.

This is a fun and sexy short story, full of chemistry between Jenni and Rick and plenty of funny but sweet mishaps.  I had a lot of fun reading their antics. I was immensely relieved when Jenni didn’t just fall immediately all over Rick. Even though they both make clear from the outset they’re interested in one another, the author didn’t rush their coming together. As readers we’re given a bit of time to know Jenni and Rick and we can watch them interact – that sensual to-and-fro of two lovers coming together – before the main event. I found this helped with the pacing, letting it progress with a natural feel, but also not leaving us feeling shorted by a too-quick wrap up at the end. The plot of the sexy neighbor helping with a bit of home renovations wasn’t too new or fresh, but my interest in the characters and the good pacing helped me still want to know what happened next and turn the pages.

I found this to be a well written short story, with interesting characters and some smoking hot sex. Raunchy enough to need a glass of cold water nearby, but not so shocking that you couldn’t share it with your best friend, this is a good blend of naughty and nice and perfect for a quick, happy read.

Straitlaced model Britt Malone agrees to her friend’s kinky photo shoot for one reason—the BDSM magazine’s fifty-thousand-dollar contest prize. But the hot shots go missing and emerge in the magazine after she backs out on entering the contest. Her life spins out of control as she searches for the culprit who stole the pictures.

Diego is on her hit list, but she’s so hooked on his delicious kink, she can’t untangle herself from the irresistible bad-boy.

Baby, it’s cold outside but if you’re ready to suspend disbelief have I got one hot story to drive the cold away.

Britt isn’t exactly innocent but she’s certainly never been attracted to the blue collar, biker type, until she literally runs into Tampa biker bad boy Diego Mansini. There’s just something about the way he carries himself, the way he talks to her and that ‘he’s no good girl’ look he lays on her that has her agreeing to a first date with only mild hesitation. Who can truly resist a scoundrel? This is where the suspending disbelief comes into play. He screams bad news and she (seems reasonably intelligent) goes places and does things that don’t quite go along with her character. But maybe this is the real Britt, the girl who wants to experience a trip on the wild side. I can imagine it would be difficult to turn down a hot inked alpha male, so maybe it isn’t a completely unbelievable scenario.

Diego Mansisi is in lust with Britt at first sight. He sees what she hasn’t had the courage to act on until he opens a whole new world to her. Britt is beautifully submissive and he’s just the Dom to allow her to find the strength to give over control. In return, she makes him want to be a better person. He knows he’s not what she needs but he wants to be what she can’t live without. There’s a problem though, he’s keeping a secret that has all the potential to destroy their new found attraction.

Also, there was obviously something about Britt’s friend Lexi that kept me reading to see what her deal was. Is she a true friend, concerned that Britt is making a mistake, or is there something else going on? Little hints along the way kept me intrigued.

Readers who want their books filled with tension and seriously hot sex are going to eat this one up. The author has some very descriptive language that didn’t always work for me but it didn’t keep me from enjoying the overall story. There’s a back story for Diego that only comes out towards the end and it’s pretty heart wrenching. The title leaves little doubt that this novella has lots and lots of kink. There isn’t much these two don’t try. If it’s a sexy no holds barred kink fest with a tumultuous love story that you’re looking for, check out Pretty in Kink.

Ms. Dohner is one of my go to authors when I’m looking for a book that will completely capture my interest. This one was romantic; true love reunited. The plot was exciting with some great suspense. As usual, Ms. Dohner created strong and vibrant characters that pulled me right into the story. Last but not least …. the writing was exceptional. Haunting Blackie is another fantastic book.

As we all know, Blackie has been a bit of a villain in some previous books. Enough so that I wondered how Dohner would redeem him when it came his turn. Yet redeem him she did. Not only did he fall hard and fast for his lady, but he was wonderful in his support of her. We also see another side of him that explains a few things, gives some validation to his actions, so to speak. He has some regrets, and wants to make things right for everybody. So really, we see an honor in Blackie this time around. Of course, I liked that Dohner gave him a softer side here.

I think it’s safe to say that I loved Eve. She was an awesome mate for Blackie; fierce, passionate and loyal. I liked what she brought to the series. Dohner opened up a world of possibilities with this newest revelation. I for one, am hoping for more stories along this line. I think this may be in the cards with Danica, Eve’s sister.

Dohner is keeping the series fresh and creative. She seems to be taking it in an exciting new direction with the things that were revealed in this one. The story telling was strong. It flowed seamlessly, with a conflict that was intense. I liked the glimpse into the internal dynamics of the Cyborg society, as well. Most of all, I loved the romantic relationship between Blackie and Eve. It was hard for me to embrace Blackie as a hero I could love. But the author pulled this off brilliantly. Bravo ! I loved it.

I think that Haunting Blackie is a great story. It continues the series in an innovative way, and it opens up even more creative opportunities for lucky readers. The Cyborg series took some new and interesting turns with this latest book. I liked the new element that was introduced to the series. We discover that the Cyborgs have more than a few secrets to hide. Some not so honorable deeds and that some will do anything to bury the truth. So there was some great conflict here.

Overall, this was a great book for Dohner fans. Even if you are one of the unfortunate few who haven’t discovered this awesome author …. you will still love this book. Just beware that you will be hooked. So get it and enjoy it like I did. I loved it and I am recommending it to everyone.

Where do you yearn to be in the face of danger? In the arms of a man bound to serve, to protect and to love…

Librarian Melanie Falconer knows too well the horrors of war. Military men, as far as she’s concerned, are off the marriage menu. As maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding, she makes a mall run and lands straight into the arms of seriously hot marine Matt Frasier, the best man.
And in the case of corticosteroid drugs (such as Prednisone) the side effects of extended use can be traced cheap no prescription cialis back to 5,000 years. The majorities of men affected with erectile dysfunction possess normal desire and may get an erection, this means your blood circulation is not vardenafil pharmacy normal when you are suffering from acute heart disease and cardiac arrest.
Matt has seen too much violence, and his heavy attraction to Melanie promises to soothe his soul and set his body on fire. But when gunfire erupts, the game is on, and Melanie and Matt fight for their lives—and the heat exploding between them.

Melanie Falconer couldn’t help the heated fantasies she kept having about Matt Frasier. Bridesmaid and best man together, they were thrown together frequently as preparations for their friends’ wedding drew closer. At the mall for some last minute shopping, gunfire shocks them both. Running for their lives, the chemistry and need both Melanie and Matt have been fighting finally explodes. Thrown together with only each other to help survive, things certainly heat up between them.

This is an excellent story. I loved how Ms. Agnew used the tension like a master. Hiding with a maniac gunman loose, Melanie and Matt cling to each other, but also talk. Where so many stories would have had them ripping their clothes off and falling into the less-realistic, fantasy scenario I was pleasantly surprised how the author used this tension to allow the hero and heroine to get to know each other. I felt it made the progression of the story a lot more realistic and the chemistry and sexual build up was delicious and perfectly balanced between fantasy and romantic.

I also really enjoyed how neither character was perfect. Both Melanie and Matt had their own issues and baggage to work through and overcome. I thought this gave them both a far more realistic (and relatable) sense in their characters. Coupled with the action and the depth of their getting to know each other before jumping into bed together. When Melanie and Matt came together – even initially for their first kiss – the passion and release of chemistry between them that had been built up so much made the satisfaction I received from reading it that much better. Ms. Agnew is a master of pacing to my mind, it was fast enough that I didn’t get impatient or feel like the story dragged, but was slow enough to build up to a real need, a want to see Melanie and Matt come together.

Ms Agnew is certainly an author I plan to read more of, and I can strongly recommend this book for readers who enjoy adventure and tension mingled in with their smoking hot, explicit sex scenes. I found Melanie and Matt both really well drawn and interesting characters, and the pacing of the plot was amazing. Definitely a book I’d reread and an author I plan to experience again.

Jack is a very interesting and flawed character. I enjoyed seeing the lengths that Jack is willing to go in order to win Sara over.

Sara is an amazing example of a good Femdom. The emotions evoked by the rejections in Sara’s past really brought out some serious sympathy on my part. Ms. York does a great job intertwining the BDSM and showing that woman can be the dominant partner in a relationship and that it can be just as hot as a male dominant.

There is a lot of geek speak that added humor to the story and made my inner geek very happy. This is a sweet but very hot erotic romance. The story easily held me captive and kept me reading in one sitting.

I really enjoyed the interaction between these two characters and the way Sara worked so hard to help Jack and he worked so hard to get her to fall in love with him as much as he already loves her. Sara could be a bit abrupt and a tiny bit abrasive but I honestly thought that it made her more real. With the way she’s been rejected and treated in the past, I would have been annoyed if she’d been perfect and unaffected instead she had very real human flaws that I enjoyed.

I definitely recommend this story and truly believe it could be read all by itself. It’s a great story from an author and I will make a habit to check out more from her in the future.

Tamara’s younger brother plans to spend Christmas at Oakley Park rather than with her in their London home. That simply will not do. She’s heard gossip about Lord Oakley and the scandalous holiday “celebrations” he’s indulged in since leaving the army. She sets out at once to rescue her brother from his clutches. But rather than finding a debauched rake, she finds a man broken from his experiences in the war.

Though it has been nearly two years since his injury, Lord Oakley—Ashford—still hasn’t quite recovered. He knows his family followed certain traditions over the Twelve Days of Christmas, but he can’t recall what they were. When Tamara arrives at Oakley Park, he finds a kindred spirit—someone as wounded by life as he’s been. Someone who seems more than willing to help him face the past.

Life hasn’t been kind to Tamara and Ashford. Tamara and Ashford deal with their sorrows in very different ways. However, their coping mechanisms only mask the issues that they have avoided dealing with. Their lives are beginning to spin out of control. If they don’t take action soon, they will find themselves facing more pain. Fortunately some odd circumstances bring them together. If they are willing to open their hearts, they just might find themselves on the path happiness.

Tamara and Ashford’s courtship is very unconventional for the time, but I think it suited their situation perfectly. From the moment they meet, it is clear that they have a connection, though they are hesitant to explore it at first. However, it isn’t long before they realize just how much they need each other. Tamara and Ashford complement each other very well. Tamara tends to want to control everything, and Ashford helps her learn to let go a bit. Ashford has a tendency to be overwhelmed by his circumstances, and Tamara helps him take things one day at a time. They instinctively know when the other needs to face a harsh truth, and when to simply supply a shoulder to cry on. It was a pleasure watching them help each other heal.

There is a bit of an unexpected complication toward the end of the story that I really didn’t see coming. I won’t give away any details, but I will say that the situation could have turned out very badly. Fortunately Tamara and Ashford handle the problem very well. They are truly partners, and they worked in perfect harmony to resolve the situation quickly. Tamara’s role in the solution had a bit of a humorous twist that had me smiling.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Twelve Day of Christmas. It is a beautiful story of healing, hope, and love. Fans of sweet, historical romance should certainly pick up a copy.

So who’s the woman in skintight red leather who suddenly appears on Port Mercy? The one with the massive partner known only as Forty-Two? The one asking questions about the secretive bouncer? And why do her eyes burn with familiar hunger when she finally finds him?

Corvan Jareth’s dark past is about to catch up with him. And it couldn’t be more dangerous. Or erotic.

Deadly Pleasure is Lexxie Couper’s latest excursion to spaceport Mercy, a world filled with danger, unique beings and lots of steamy passion.

Three years ago, Unit Zero Agent Thanatos trained Falynn Mavek to be the second best assassin in the Galactic Union, second only to himself. After one glorious night of hot, toe curling sex, he walked out her door to head out on a mission, one he never returned from. Now, three years later, Falynn has been sent to Spaceport Mercy to kill a man and capture a bio weapon of unknown origin, along with her reconfigured battle droid 42. The man is Corvan Jareth, and the weapon is actually a six year old girl named Emylie. When Falynn comes face to face with her target, she is stunned to see that Corvan Jareth is actually her mentor, and the man who took her heart when he left, Agent Thanatos. What Falynn, Code Name Proserpina, doesn’t know, is Corvan is not just a man; he is a Phase, a being considered myth to those who have ever heard of them. He is able to be in many dimensions and times, and can Call his other ‘selves’ to him when needed. When 42 captures Emylie after the Galactic Union overrides his protocols, can Corvan and Falynn rescue her and stop 42 from his new mission? Can Falynn accept a life away from the GU with Corvan and Emylie? Can Corvan find a way to keep them safe and stop the evil experiments still going on?

This is a dangerous world Ms. Couper has built, a world I found intriguing and pulse quickening. It is a dark world, and the characters are edgy and lethal, but with hidden gentleness and complexities. I like this world, for the adventure and passion Ms Couper brings to it.

Falynn Mavek, code name Proserpina, is a strong and independent woman. Trained by Unit Zero Agent Thanatos, she is the second most dangerous assassin of the Galactic Union. When her mentor Thanatos leaves on a mission, then vanishes without a trace, he takes her heart with him. She goes on to become an emotionless assassin, determined to care about no one or nothing. When she gets her new assignment, she comes face to face with the one man she could never get over. I liked Falynn for her pragmatic approach to life, but enjoyed watching her come back to life as she confronts Thanatos/Corvan, her target on this mission. I also liked that she was able to see past the dogma of the Galactic Union, and think for herself.

Corvan ‘Thanatos’ Jareth is a dangerous and intense individual, deadly to any he believes to be his enemy. But he has a gentle heart, and knows his last official mission was wrong, and so instead of killing his target, he rescued her, and has kept her safe and alive for three years. When Falynn confronts him in his new life, he knows he has to convince her to help him, because he never forgot how she felt in his arms, and in his heart. I liked seeing him seduce and then convince the woman he couldn’t forget to join by him to protect the child he rescued so long ago. I like Corvan for his strength of character, and I really enjoyed his special talents unique to his species.

There is action, danger and adventure in this one, and a struggle by Falynn’s android companion when the Galactic Union overrides Falynn’s programming, sending him on a destructive path toward the child Corvan has fought to keep safe. But there is also passion, love and, since this is a Lexxie Couper story, lots of screaming hot sexy action, especially when Corvan brings several of his temporal selves in to one place to bring pleasure to Falynn. After all, what woman wouldn’t want her man to be able to answer her every desire with only his touch? I recommend this for those who like adventure and passion, in a small spaceport called Mercy.

Lena will do anything to protect the shifter child her family takes in, even turn herself into bait. Although she knows better than to fall for a shifter, Devin, the man who captures her, is unlike any she’s ever tangled with. Their desire is unquenchable and the draw to him is undeniable, but their relationship is challenging from the start and loving him has the potential to destroy her.

After shouldering his twin’s torture, Devin hovers on the verge of insanity. His life revolves around his family and recovering kidnapped shifter children. He never thought he’d have a mate or kids of his own until a rescue mission turns deadly. The beautiful female caught in the crosshairs stirs his mating instincts and tames his wild nature. Only her confusion over their intense attraction stops him from finishing their bond, but Devin’s persistent. He’ll convince his stubborn female that he’s the man she’s been waiting for—one passionate encounter at a time.

The second installment of the Royal Pride series explores how a tortured man finds redemption. It’s not an easy path and that becomes clear right from the get go. There are chases, fights and crucial decisions that have to be made in a split second but one of those quick actions ripples through the rest of the entire book. It’s a plot conflict that flavors all of the characters’ actions throughout most of the hero and heroine’s growing relationship.

These signs show clearly they are related with sexual dysfunction. cialis cheap prices Unlike the first book in the series, this one has a larger internal conflict: his, hers and what they do and say between each other and with other secondary characters. Whereas the first book was more story than sex, this one is more sex than story. The sex scenes are various and it’s clear the physical side of Devin and Lena’s romance is not a problem. It’s one of the things that is very strong and well defined all throughout with clear descriptions and solid writing.

Devin is a character I initially cared for from the first book and indeed, I was very happy to hear that he was going to get his happy ever after. The delivery wasn’t what I’d hoped for however. Yes, he’s strong and he survived a lot and he is described in yummy fashion and most certainly he knows how to make Lena’s body sing but that’s not enough for me to be a happy reader. He even makes a lot of mistakes so he’s not a perfect hero. I was okay with that because it made him more approachable and I wanted him to heal and find happiness. No, what made me unhappy about this story wasn’t the hero, it was the heroine.

Lena drove me nuts. The word stubborn doesn’t even come close to describing her. As the story gets told, I learned more and more about why she was so hesitant to trust and I can agree it’s a sound reason. But her excuse/reason/justification got old. It was repetitive and by the three quarter mark of the book, just plain annoying. Devin deserved better. In fact, Lena needed to get out of her own way. If the book were shorter, perhaps her curtailed whining ways would have meshed better with the flow of the book. As it was, it was “sex, whine, sex, be confused, be affronted and huffy and angry but have sex again” on and off almost until the end of the book. That kind of internal conflict can only carry a book so far. Okay, so a few hyenas were thrown in for external plot stirring but even that didn’t engage me. I adored Jazz as a heroine in the first book because she was a strong female character and I really liked getting to know her. I can’t say the same for Lena. She had her good points, like loyalty, quick thinking and the fact that she calmed Devin but her good points simply didn’t outweigh her faults.

Even with saying what I have about the heroine, there are many appealing storytelling aspects of Beautiful Mistake that made reading the story worthwhile. Like I said before, when Lena and Devin do get into the physical side of things, it’s hot, well written and potent. I continue to be fascinated by Kade, Xander and now, Vader. Ms. Corrigan remains sturdy in her ability to hook a reader with her secondary characters so that I absolutely do want to read about another one of them in a next book. I swooned for Rafe in Unexpected Find so I know the author is capable of some high powered storytelling with a meaty plot. I guess the romance was the focus in this novel and usually that is fine, but there was too much reliance on the internal angst. Although it slowed the story down, it didn’t kill it. I still enjoyed reading this book and was very happy to have Devin find peace and his happy ever after. I wanted him to be contented and I got my wish.

As for meaty plots, there were quite a few dangled threads presented in this installment of the series that beg to be answered because they were not addressed in the course of telling this tale. Some were a mechanism of getting the ball rolling and others provided questions, and curiosity that was left unsatisfied. I am hoping either Kade or Vader tackle those and then there is the dilemma of Molly and Gwen. There is enough fascinating world building going on even in this second book that sparks imagination and wonder. And those are also more reasons to want to read more in this series.

Beautiful Mistake was a good read. For erotic romance readers who are looking for a heavy dose of sensuality and satisfaction, this book provides that in spades. For readers who see a man who is damaged and who lost hope and want to see him finding his ‘one’ and embracing happiness, this story can be beautiful. For the scenes of action and real drama, they’re well written and effective; I just wish there were more of them. All in all I’m glad I had a chance to read this book because not only did I get to see a previous secondary character I liked get his HEA, I got to catch a glimpse of Rafe and Jazz’s continued happiness. That sure made me happy too.

He counts it as a win every time his beloved human gives in to their passion and takes him to her bed. But Rafe’s patience isn’t infinite and he’ll do whatever it takes, face any danger—past or present—to ensure that Jazz becomes his. Forever.

This was a paranormal romance I could sink my teeth into. Ms. Corrigan actually skirted the pesky overused “smell the mate/love at once/HEA sealed and delivered” type plot. The recognition was there but the hero had to work for it and there were absolutely no guarantees. The heroine felt something, yes, but she exercised practical caution and held out, making the hero work for it. And work he does — I enjoyed every pant, growl and sensual adventure he shared with the heroine to convince her that she was the woman for him.

So, one can look out for healthy midwayfire.com viagra in the uk options that do not pose threat to the overall health of reproductive system. This may explain why I hate click these guys cialis uk winter so much. generic sildenafil india The real thing is this: the pill is instrumental in helping you hold onto the erection. Hormone can also effect levitra 40 mg on impotence. The backdrop of a demented, deranged and violent serial killer dogging their footsteps insured that the plot tension simmered throughout the story, pitting the determination of both hero and heroine against the bad guy in order to protect those they loved and cared for. The bad guy didn’t play fair and was nasty – a solid depiction of evil. The only weak part was not letting his vileness reach its full potential. He just seemed to pop out in places but I never felt his true potential for evil. Everything he did was basically off screen and the protagonists had to deal with the fallout. Not that I wanted darkness to overshadow the romance, far from it. I actually appreciated that the author didn’t do that. But I also felt the villain could have benefited from a bit more detail, in dialogue or action, which would have made him more tangible and a more fleshed out nemesis. As it is, he came across as one dimensional.

I enjoyed Jazz’s self-doubts. Usually they’d drive me nuts but the author justified them by being logical, pragmatic and didn’t have them muddy the romance overlong. They were in the right amount to deliver a realistic dose of internal conflict without coming across as ditzy or whiny. I also appreciated that Jazz knew things were happening fast but balanced it with the knowing that the shifter world had rules that weren’t the same as humans. She only had to be given the right incentive to get on board with accepting the changes. Two things helped with that – her kids and Rafe.

First, her kids needed to be safe and there’s nothing safer than being with others that have teeth, claws and fur. The second is the hero, Rafe. At first, he was reluctant to admit to what was happening between Jazz and himself. Sure, it’s only sex, no big deal. Except it was. Watching him realize it was fun. I even think there might have been a bit of back door teasing but nothing blatant. I liked the sensual tension that surrounds biting – it has so much meaning in this tale. As much as the hero seems more than capable of dealing with the main conflict of falling in love, Jazz called him on the carpet about a certain aspect of their relationship and he denied it. At that point, he was such a bonehead. Such a typical male, but the heroine sure showed him up. It took her actions, which if I may say so were way more heroic and impressive than his, to show him the error of his ways. It was dramatic and a very pivotal moment.

On a personal level, the explanation of shifter souls and connection caught me off guard and gave me a twinge. However, reading fiction means I have to engage “willing suspension of disbelief”. I had to turbo charge mine to get through that explanation but I’m sure most readers wouldn’t give that issue a second thought.

Secondary characters abounded. Ms. Corrigan took her time to introduce and tease a reader with Kade, Devon and Mira, and a very suspicious sounding Xander. It sounds as if each of them has their own baggage to deal with and their personalities were presented in such a way as to hook my interest. That bodes well for my getting to read more in this world the author created. Maybe I’ll even be able to catch glimpses of Jazz and Rafe in future stories… you know, just to see how they’re doing? Because even though the happy ever after was complete, I got a sense that it’s just the beginning, not the end. I like that.

Unexpected Find was a very enjoyable and entertaining read. I liked the author’s spin on the shifter world and appreciated some of its unique points. For erotic romance fans, there’s a lot to enjoy and for those that like suspense and a more detailed plot, this book provides that too. This story is worth spending time with and I had a lot of fun meeting Jazz and Rafe. I heard that Devon’s story is coming out and I can guarantee that it’s going on my TBR pile. I like this world that Ms. Corrigan has created and look forward to visiting again.

Dutiful, practical Lydia Potts knew that her father, a wealthy commoner, planned to announce her engagement to a nobleman at their Christmas house party. But she didn’t expect her prospective fiancé to be in love with another woman!

Anthony wasn’t usually so reckless but something about the unknown lady’s sweet manner and big pansy-brown eyes made him want to share a bit of juicy gossip with her. Everybody knew Lord Danville needed to marry an heiress to save his family from financial ruin, but nobody but Anthony would mention it to the heiress herself.

To fix the mess he’s created, Anthony must woo Lydia on his noble friend’s behalf—and Lydia will have to decide between duty and desire.

Anthony fully intended to fix the mess he’d made, but his heart has other plans.

I immediately felt sorry for Lydia. Not only is she about to enter into an arranged marriage with a man she barely knows, but she seems to be the only one who doesn’t know he’s already in love with another woman. Lord Danville is only marrying her for her money. Lydia is absolutely mortified. I’m sure anyone who has ever been the subject of gossip can relate. Even though the news about Danville is a severe blow, I think Lydia handles herself very well. She holds herself together in front of her guests, determined not to cry in front of them. Lydia also tries very hard to please her father. She knows that a marriage to a nobleman will bring her family the respect that money can’t buy. She tries very hard to envision a life with Danville. However, that becomes more difficult as she spends more time with Danville’s charming friend, Anthony.

Anthony is a hero in every sense of the word. He is clever, caring, and the perfect shoulder for Lydia to lean on throughout the story. Lydia isn’t used to playing hostess to a house full of wealthy and arrogant guests, and she finds herself overwhelmed on more than one occasion. Anthony always manages to come to her aid at just the right time. Anthony has a great sense of humor and I found myself laughing and smiling along with Lydia as I read.

Anthony frequently puts his foot in his mouth, especially where Lydia and Danville are concerned. His attempts to convince Lydia that Danville likes her are hilarious. Anthony truly tries to do the right thing by his friend Danville, but Anthony’s feelings for Lydia grow stronger as he gets to know her. It was clear to me that Lydia and Anthony make a great couple, but I wasn’t sure how they could ever be together without someone getting hurt. I was pleasantly surprised by Ms. Etter’s satisfying solution to this problem.

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read Lydia’s Christmas Charade. Anthony is thoroughly entertaining, and I truly enjoyed watching his romance with Lydia bloom. Looking for a sweet and charming historical romance? Pick up a copy of Lydia’s Christmas Charade today.
