Erik and Lion have been friends since freshman year in high school and regularly catch up over dinner. But this time, Lion can tell something is going on with Erik. After a bit of nerves, Erik finally works himself up to asking Lion for a big favour. Erik wants to lose his virginity. As a Dom he’s enjoyed his fair share of sex, but he’s never trusted anyone enough – or wanted someone enough – to let them fuck him. Lion taught Erik the ropes of being a Dom and while he’s startled at first, he soon realizes he doesn’t trust anyone else to do his best friend except for himself.

I always enjoy Sean Michael’s writing and this was no exception. The friendship and camaraderie between the two men was a pleasure to read and very realistic. I was attached to them immediately and knew the sex would be smoking hot. The pacing was fast enough that I didn’t need to skip ahead any, but not rushed. I felt Lion and Erik eased into the growing change in their friendship and the clear deepening of their attraction felt natural and right. I particularly loved how Lion so clearly tried not only to put Erik at ease, but give him a real experience, not just a quick wham-bam-thank you quickie. Each man made a concentrated effort and it paid off both in the emotional intensity of their lovemaking but also in my reading pleasure. Chemistry and laughter mingled perfectly with these two guys and I found myself eagerly anticipating Erik losing his anal cherry and was thrilled Lion was the man to do it.

Not for the faint of heart, there is plenty of steam and sexy M/M action. I didn’t feel this story was hard-core (there was no massively kinky play here) but there were a number of references to the BDSM lifestyle and plenty of anal play and action. Readers who *need* a happy ending or full resolution might find the open-endedness of the story frustrating, but personally I decided to imagine for myself what would happen next. This short story was full of laughter, male ribaldry and sexy, hot erotic scenes. The characters are vivid and I was attached to them both and their situation from the beginning. This was a fantastic read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
