In this modern retelling, Zeus is from the stars and lusts after rock star Ganymede. In any setting, their love is legendary.

Once a rock star, always a rock star?  Not if Zeus has his way.

I love a Jack Greene story. Why? They’re short, quick, and so sexy. In just a few words, Greene conveys a slew of emotions and has me right in my seat needing to know more. I liked the character and the way they ended up in the same room.

Zeus and the other gods are not just gods, they are there to observe the humans. Keep them safe but don’t get involved. It’s a novel idea. The gods aren’t the gods in the usual trope in this short and it’s a good thing. I like the change. Ganymede, the rock star, was easy to relate to. He feels like he’s living in a fishbowl. He wants to be himself and love who he wants. But there’s a few issues. He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. When he and Zeus come together…whew! Hot.

My favorite character was Eros. Now there’s a guy I want to see a story for. Heck, I wanted to see him jump in the fracas with Zeus and Ganymede. Talk about hot. That would’ve been so good. I liked the ending, just throwing in my two cents.
