I am a big fan of Marisa Chenery and have read just about every one of her books. This latest one is the third in the cougar series. While on the hunt for his cousin, Jase meets Katarina and he finds himself attracted to her right from the start. She is one tough lady but still longs for the softness of love. Jase must break through her defenses to show her that he is the man for her but Katarina will not make it easy for him.

I enjoyed meeting Jase and Katarina. The two make a great couple and I enjoyed watching them find their way. While I did enjoy the main characters, their story seemed a little rushed. I also found some of the secondary characters in this book to be a bit too brash. I would have loved for this story to be a little more fleshed out. The storyline grabs the reader but as quick as this book was I felt as if I was missing something. I did love watching Katarina and Jase begin their relationship. Their first date made for a neat story and the attraction between the two makes for a seriously hot read. Katarina has an interesting family and I would love to see more of that in future books.

This may not be my favorite book by this author but I still enjoy this series and her writing and I cannot wait to return to this world to see what happens next.
