When wildling Corey Green discovers his mate is Seth Dylan, a tough as nails, dour werewolf from the McCallan clan, he thinks his life is set. However, Seth’s not out and doesn’t know if he wants to be. A pivotal sexual encounter between the men has Seth running scared and leaves Corey broken hearted. The men meet again nearly two years later and this time Seth’s out but Corey’s dark depression is about to send him behind the Veil of the Jewel Box to the fae world. Seth’s determined to make up for running out on Corey, but the wildling’s sunny disposition has gone so dark it may be too late for them to build a life together. With love on his side, Seth sets out return the sunshine to Corey’s soul.

Once again Lex Valentine does a wonderful job in bringing her stories to life. Full of well-developed characters and ripe with emotions this story does not disappoint. This is book six in the Darkworld series and in order to understand what is going on and to get the full effect of the story I would recommend that you read the other books in this series. The roller coaster ride of emotions that Corey and Seth go through makes for a great read.

Okay, I confess — I love Corey. I have from his first appearance in this series. He is such a sweetheart and when he loves, he loves with abandon. We see this with his actions towards Seth. Seth hmm… What can I say? He is a brooding young man who has yet to grow and be comfortable with his own self. It was wonderful to see Corey bring out the real Seth with his unconditional love. The two make a wonderful couple with a strong bond that no one can undo. The love and acceptance that Corey shows Seth is beautiful and Seth only becomes stronger because of it. Even with their mutual friend, Will thrown into the mix their love never dims. I do hope that Will can find some happiness of his own.

This book is full of intense feelings and as hot as the love scenes are, it’s the love that Corey and Seth share that really shines through. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait to see whose story comes next.

  1. Wonderful review! I have this book, and I’ve got to read it!
    Congratulaions, Lex!

  2. Thanks for a great review! BTW, you’ll get some Wilson North soon in BREATHE ME IN. Will’s mate turns out to be a secondary character from Ride the Lightning. I believe Breathe Me In will be a Book 6.5 and paired with Sunstroked in the print book.
