One thing I loved about this story was it’s true to life feel with two characters who both have a less than rosy past trying to take the next step in their lives. And what better way to do that then to rediscover each other.

I loved the opening with Sully jumping in his car and heading out for a new beginning, contemplating the past but with high hopes for the future. Ms. Zwaduk did a wonderful job with describing the small town setting and the farm which Marley owns and where Sully finds work. Both these characters were well drawn and likeable. It’s always fun to see characters who have loved and lost, reconnect. Sully is sexy and I wanted to nudge Marley to give him, first the job, and secondly, another chance with her.

My one complaint, I didn’t want this story to end. I would liked to have seen this turned into a longer story so these two could interact some more. The pacing is fast so it’s a quick read. I was completely involved in their lives and wasn’t ready to leave.

If you’re looking for a story set in small town America with characters you could easily meet in real life I’d recommend you read this one.
