Reviewed by FuchsiaMike has watched Lynda for months. He wants her. He’s asked her out several times only to be told “no.” Her reasoning baffles him; he sees no problem with her being eighteen years his senior. He doesn’t believe it’s anybody’s business that they work together. If she would simply give him a chance, he could show her exactly how much fun they could have.
Lynda has done everything within her power to discourage Mike’s attraction to her. He’s idealistic. However she resides in the real world, and at forty, she has certainly learned a few things. To top it off, she’s his boss, and she can’t keep avoiding him. Her only option is to nip his growing infatuation in the bud. She simply has to figure out how to do that when she wants him as much as he desires her. All things considered, she has her work cut out for her.
Sex Oughta Be Luscious was one of those tales that had you smiling from beginning to end.
Mike works as a stock boy for the Just A Buck store. He, along with his co-worker James, have a serious crush on their supervisor Lynda Chambers. Too bad there’s a No Fraternization rule between staff and management that Lynda likes to repeatedly bring up. There’s also the small matter of their age difference. Lynda was forty and Mike only twenty-two. How could he get her to see him as a potential lover?
Lynda Chambers knew that Mike had a serious crush on her, but he was just too young for her. She has a son older than him, for goodness sake. Lynda was flattered by Mike’s attention and it didn’t hurt that he was gorgeous, but dare she take that step and go against what she knew was right?
I knew that somehow these two would get together, and it was fun to see the events that took place that changed Lynda’s mind. The banter between the characters was light and humorous which made me wish Sex Oughta Be Luscious was longer. Lynda and Mike had nothing in common, but the chemistry between them was evident. This reader couldn’t wait to see the fireworks that I knew would happen when these two got together. Sex Oughta Be Luscious was a fun read that I would enjoy seeing put into a longer version to really give Lynda and Mike a chance to develop their relationship.
