Hi, LASR! My name is Elaine Cantrell. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a social studies teacher, I’m married with two sons and three grandchildren. I also have a new puppy who is somewhat challenging to say the least. Writing wise, I write sweet to sensual contemporary romance.
I’m hoping my husband reads this blog because I have some hints for him regarding my Valentine’s Day present. I’m addicted to chocolate, but I’m trying to break my addiction. (Yeah, fat chance.) I hope your husband reads your post too. 🙂
I would love to go away for a weekend with my hubby – that would be the best gift. It’s difficult because we have two daughters with special needs.
Elie, I’m trying on that chocolate thing, I relly am. Diane, I hope you get that weekend soon. My grandson is a special needs child who lives with me, so I know what you mean.
I hope you get what you want! I’d just love an hour or two alone with the hubby. He’s been traveling so much we tend to do the family thing when he is home. I want him all to myself for just a little while!

Hi Elaine…hmmm a pretty blue sparkly – yeah probably too rich for my blood too, but I can imagine it’s beautiful! I know he’ll bring me flowers (yeah, they’ll fade, but the thought doesn’t) and I’m taking him for dinner then a movie. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
I just hope my hubby remembers it’s Valentine’s Day. lol.
I am getting dinner out and flowers, but not roses.

Chocolates and me no longer get on, so it has to be something else this year. A meal out perhps, that would be nice 🙂 But as Donna B says, it’s the thought that counts 🙂 Have a great Valentine Day everyone
a quiet weekend at home with no phone and no visitors 🙂
I hope you get your chocolate. 🙂
I would love it if hubby cooked dinner. He’s a fantastic cook–and I hate to cook.
Diamond necklace. Huge diamonds!

Melissa, my husband has been working about 4 hours away from home for six months now. Since my son and his family live with us we seldom have any privacy either. Even the dogs follow us around!
Donna, you are the sweetest of us all! Thanks for the reminder of what’s really important.
Lisa, just tell him what day it is. I always remind my husband.
Jean, dinner out is wonderful! Have chocolate for dessert.
Sherry, I hope you get that dinner. Don’t forget dessert.
Lori, I just turn my phone off. If it’s important they’ll call back.
Maria, don’t let him get away!
Kasey! Good thinking!
I want a bottle of Moscato wine and a box of Belgian dark chocolate truffles.
My valentine’s presents began with dinner last night for the three of us, me hubby and 12 year old daughter. This morning we woke up to find two boxes of chocolates waiting for us…This afternoon hubby came home with boiled dungeness crabs, snow crabs, sausage, and turkey necks. As far as I’m concerned, it’s been a great Valentine.
