Hot for the High School principal?

You bet! What’s a woman to do when her former student comes back and reveals to her that he wants to keep her for detention?

Mia Bradford is the principal of Fremont High. She’s uncompromising and believes in tough love for her students. In fact, she’s helped many of them reach their full potential. She’s always happy to reconnect with them years later and see what they have accomplished in life. But one student in particular is making her more than a little nervous.

Brett Wyndam has seen and done a lot in his life, a lot of it rewarding and some of it tragic. But the one dream he hasn’t realized in his life is the one thing he’s always wanted: Mia Bradford. When he attended Fremont, he’d served detention under her, time after time. Now that he’s back in town, eight years later, it’s time to turn the tables and fulfill a promise to himself.

Can Brett get Mia to be honest with herself and explore the desires she’s harboring? Or will the past get in the way and ruin what could be a loving, but admittedly unconventional, relationship?

This high school principal didn’t know what she was missing until her sizzling former student returns. Now he is ready to fulfill her every desire. Can she break from societies expectations and finally be truly happy?

Mia Bradford has worked hard to make it as the principle of a prestigious private school. Being a female is hard enough in an uptight society of privilege, but being a black woman makes it even harder. With all this hard work and perseverance, she has sacrificed a lot in her life. She knows something is missing, but is too afraid to ask for what she needs. The demand and pressure of her job constantly takes its toll on her and all she wants is to find sweet release and freedom in her sex life. The problem is she can’t find fulfillment. One failed marriage later, Mia is ready to just settle for a quiet existence. Too bad, Brett Wyndam is done waiting and is returning to town to conquer what he left behind.

Detention is a very light BDSM story, so don’t let the thought of a D/s relationship scare you off from reading it. It is more about the release of inhabitations and the blossoming of passion. It shows that being true to yourself and allowing someone to love you can be the greatest gift of all. That age is just a number and the color of our skin should never stop you from following your heart. True love comes from the inside and the outside packaging is just an added bonus.

Detention also has a wonderful back story. It wasn’t just about two people finding happiness, but also the plight of Ghana. I was shown a sad reality of the poverty and heartache of the country, but I also felt the hope of hard working loving people. It was touching to read about selfless people giving their lives and livelihood to the less fortunate. Ms. Williams did a fabulous job introducing me to Ghana and didn’t let the sadness overshadow the joy. Her rendering of Ghana was informative without being preachy. Thank you for making Detention feel deeper than just the normal romance novel.

Detention is a steamy read that is enlightening yet sexy. It is a sizzling book and an enjoyable story. If you like a tender May-December story, you’ll enjoy Detention. If you like interracial romance, you’ll like Detention. But most of all, if you want an amazing story of two people finding love no matter what people think and discover that together they are unstoppable, then it’s another reason to pick up this book. You won’t be disappointed!
