Mina has to bond with a demon. In return for his permanent protection, she will offer him unlimited power. When she asks her best friend for help, Taurinus — a deadly assassin — arrives instead.

Mina is horrified by the last minute substitution, but she is running out of time and has no other choice. She resigns herself to a passionless bonding of convenience… until one kiss changes everything.

Who knew an ice demon could be so hot? Not Mina. Mina’s in trouble so she called a friend to help her with a pressing matter. Instead he sends Taur, an ice demon assassin. With demons coming out of the wood work to get their hands on her, Mina has to make a decision and fast.

This is as unique a story as I’ve ever read about supernatural beings like Mina. The descriptions in this book are very vivid. Actually, at one point I found it slightly unsettling because the author describes another demon having an erection during a fight. It was just unnerving. Also, in demon form these guys are supposedly huge, so how did that work? Well, she is a supernatural creature so I guess it just worked, so I stopped worrying about the mechanics and just enjoyed the story.

Other than those two tidbits this was an entertaining story and kept me reading until the end.
