With the help of her Punkazz Magnifiship, Mischa’s on course to break the speed record for a solo-sprint around the world—until the storm. The sky burns a sickly gold, the waters churn…and Mischa gets swept up in a wall of white fury, swallowed by the angry ocean.

She awakens on the deck of a ship, but not her own. What at first seems to be a pirate-themed cruise manned by the worst actors in the world turns out to be the real deal. A pirate ship—in 1721. Complete with a dashing captain who wastes no time showing Mischa how real pirates plunder their booty…

A Pirate’s Piece is a rollicking, epic journey packed into a mere sixty-five pages. I deeply enjoyed this story. Mischa is a modern, no-nonsense, capable woman who gets sent back in time to an early 18th century pirate ship. I loved her sense of humor and her dry but practical response to finding herself in another time. She meets many coarse, unwashed pirates and the handsome sexy pirate captain. Lucky lady. Sparks fly between them at first, Jareth doesn’t know how to handle a woman like Mischa. And folks, he’s a real pirate–he reacts to her in a way that an early 18th century pirate would, with a little rough handling. Not too much. The way they come together and overcome their animosity is well done.

This story has so much going for it. The writing has definite historical feel without being flowery or awkward. The action is described in such vivid detail that one feels like they are experiencing it with the characters in real time. The characterization is deep and believable for both the modern woman thrust back in time and the pirate captain having his world rocked by this unique woman.

The sex is hot and graphically described. Lots of wonderful verbal sexual communication between the hero and heroine during the act or if you prefer the term “dirty talk” and all of it in character for the pirate captain. I loved it. Jareth is a very sexy, creative lover and Mischa proves more than his match. Their coming together is explosive.

A wonderful happy ending to a rough, wild, sexy ride. A not-to-be-missed story for those who enjoy pirate tales.
