At first, Sky is all too eager to give her acceptance and worry about the repercussions later. I just adored Sky. She had spunk and brains. There was some humor in this one when the men went all he-man alpha male to impress Sky and it had the opposite affect. Seriously, it didn’t go over big with Sky. But they know what she hasn’t accepted…yet. On a world where women are coming up missing and telling the good guy from the bad isn’t as easy as it might seem, Sky will have to be careful. On that same note though, Sky isn’t helpless. Not even close. Did I mention the spunk? This girl is fierce!

The heroes weren’t hard to read about either. Alien warriors, alpha male to a fault and they share. The chemistry is heavy between Jaxt and Zoen. They’re bonded and I could feel their connection in the looks and touches.

There was a nice hot scene with a knife. I loved it!! A few other scenes were just as hot and well written. My next book in the science fiction world will be Proposition, the 3rd book in this series. I hope she chooses to really go deeper into the characters and the whole back story of Earth’s demise over the next book or so. This one was fast paced, almost too fast in areas that glossed over opportunity to insert details. Still, it was a good read in that it kept the story progressing from the first book and had me yearning for more. So, yes and yes, I’d recommend it and I enjoyed it. Props to you Ms. Leaf.

This was a quick read with not a lot of background dragging down the pace. The plot, while unique and attention grabbing, felt a bit incomplete, almost as if this were written in outline form. I think that if Ms. White had given me a better idea of what the characters looked like and where they came from they would have felt more real. Having said that, both Cedric and Miranda become endearing fast.

Cedric has a sincere need to find the woman who would eventually be his Queen and Miranda needs to feel that she’s loved for herself even though life dealt her a pretty intense blow to her self-confidence. The situation Miranda finds herself in will only make her strong enough to handle the next ones. I don’t if the heat increases over the rest of the series but this was one, while sensual, wasn’t very spicy.

Ms. White weaves a world of magic, shifters, danger and love. This is the first book and it really is more of a introduction to the characters and a lead up to the real plot that will be played out over the next two books. In short, this is one has a cliff hanger. The good news, the other two parts of this story are already out so it’s not like readers will have to wait months to see what happens next. This is an interesting read. For readers who don’t have a lot of time to read but want to dive into the beginnings of a potentially good series, I would recommend Becoming the Lion’s Queen.

Even though its the third book in the series, I don’t see why it can’t be read as a stand alone. None of the other characters are directly involved in either of the other books. Proposition is a short read, with just enough detail to make the story flow. I loved all three characters.

Geof is a strong character. He helped Keirah when they were young and made it his sole purpose to make sure she would be safe. I’m not sure if he thought everything through. Earth is dying and Keirah’s husband has made plans to get them off the planet. How? The plans are to Auction themselves off as a couple to an Alphan warrior. The Alpheans are short on women and some will take a couple just to have the wife. Knowing what he had to do to keep both him and his wife safe didn’t make it any easier to do. Imagine being sold to the highest bidder in order to help repopulate a alien world.

As short as the story is, you can still feel the emotions run wild. Keirah a loyal wife that is to be a mate to a man she’s never met. Geoffrey fights with his status. How will he fit in? Better yet, will he fit in? Krig wanted a mate. Now he has one and also her husband! What is he going to do with him? Just to mix it up, the writer throws in a bit of danger. Nice. There was a few scenes that had me fanning my face. The author didn’t push the male-male interaction other than a bit of touching. I really like the series and the style of the writers. I think there are two different writers in this series. That was very intriguing and they both made it work. I look forward to reading the rest in the series.

I love finding new authors because it opens the world to new and exciting reads. It’s a pretty common shifter story in that the humans accept the shifter, but only face to face. There will always be some type of organization after the shifter community.

I love a strong female character with a good mix of sass and brains. I really liked Theana because she’s a little strong in the first chapter, then she toned the whole I’m better attitude. Translation: she’s a bit spoiled. Her father let her run wild most of her life. Theana isn’t quick to lie down and take orders, nor is she in any hurry to be mated. She has made a point of only being with wolves lower ranking than her, although that didn’t make much sense to me.

The males were the typical alpha type, but I liked the alpha right off. This alpha cares about his beta and knew how to put his beta at ease. How the Alpha and beta grew up together and how they formed a bond was really good. They’ve shared women before but a mate? No. And if they did, where does the beta fit in? Is there rank in a relationship?

There was the nice show of strength, power and passion along with a few yummy scenes to sweeten the story. I liked how the authors threw in a wee bit of danger as well as keeping the conflict simple.

This looks to be a first in a series. Because of the secondary characters I’d think, that another book will come at some point. The writers didn’t leave me hanging though, which I liked. The length was decent and there was just a bit of back ground. It wasn’t a knock my socks off read, but I liked and enjoyed it. If you like wolf shifters, then hop over and grab this read. I’m sure you will enjoy it I did.

There wasn’t a lot of back story on either character, but I was still be able to get the feel for Tanner and Natalie.

As naive in the ways of men as Natalie is, she is rather accepting of new experiences. I’ll be interested to see if she loses any of herself. For Tanner, the need to control is what drives him and its how he was conditioned. His controlling way is how he was raised. Add a very independent young woman with not a lot of world experience with a slightly older man of the world and you have sparks. Even with the dire warning that Tanner kept sharing with Natalie, will they still take a stab at a relationship?

I just loved their first date because it was so unbelievably sweet. For all the hopeless romantics out there, that scene will be a definite “aww” factor. There wasn’t too much BDSM in it. The bondage was hinted to in the introduction where needs, pleasure, and limits were discussed, but nothing to definite. There wasn’t a lot of sex, but the scenes where well written. Kymber was more accepting of her fate than I’m sure most would be. But as Kheelan explains her life to her, things kind of slip into place. The loneliness, the isolation… how many Reapers do you have as friends? Kymber handles herself remarkably well and that is what is endearing to me.

Is it love at first sight… or lust at first touch? If you love magic and the Fae, then this cute little story will surprise you. Mix in some heated bed scenes, and you have a short story made for your reading pleasure.

The scenes were both hot and I could tell the writer didn’t just put words down. This is book three so for readers who jump into the middle of the series, a bit of Grisha’s reasons why he is like he is might be missed. But it really didn’t take from the actual story, so it may be able to be read as a stand alone.

I picked up this book, because of the fire play, which turned out to only be a small scene but the content of the story made up for the small bit of fire. Readers who look for some variety in their BDSM but also want the love and erotic romance should give this novella a try.

Even as jaded as I am, I had a few awww moments quickly followed by the thought that I might need a cold shower. This one is hot, hot, hot. The running theme of this story is most surely communication or the lack there of. As often happens, the hero and heroine could have avoided a whole lot of conflict by simply communicating.

Still, it was easy 4 star rating for me, with the biggest reason being the book was truly fun. It was a quick, easy read, and the story flowed well. The dialogue was good and the sex was scorching! The main characters and the secondary interacted well, and I will be looking forward to the next two books in this series which are already out. I’d recommend this to any Sci-Fi lover out there. I loved it!
