She thinks this is her story to tell.
It very well may be.
But he…is fixing to rewrite it.

This book begins an incredibly dark, sexy and actually interesting series from Kim Jones. Clubwhore is an unapologetic and smutty read that happens to be different from anything I’ve ever read. I’m a big Kim Jones fan, which is what made me open this one, but I soon realized what a true gem that I had just stumbled across. Who else has the audacity to dedicate their book to the whores of this world.

“Whores.”

“Truth is, you’re smarter than most women. You get paid for sex, while the rest of us have been giving it away for years. So hats off to you, promiscuous women – you’ve figured it out.”

Delilah loved her life as a club whore for the Devil’s Renegades MC. So she told herself and anyone else who would listen. Yet knowing this author’s propensity for creating flawed and deeply troubled characters, I figured there was much more to Delilah. Don’t get me wrong now, she enjoyed what she did, but the whoring was simply another form of the punishment she craved.

Delilah was all kinds of messed up but she endeared herself to me. She was hardened by the life she led and the unique “therapy” that she needed to survive, but she was genuine, with a charming sense of humor. Bryce was a wonderful hero that I liked immediately. He was so good to Delilah and accepted all of her faults. They both had some troubling baggage that added to the storyline and made me want to delve into their dark secrets. It was so easy to get drawn into this story.

Delilah and Bryce were both such fascinating characters and the writing and depth of the story were absolutely amazing. The story was unique with loads of drama, sex and humor. It’s a dark romance with a lot of spanking and BDSM tones. It was intensely emotional at times. I’ve come to expect most of those aspects, along with a good cry or few, from a Kim Jones book. I would recommend this book for the readers who are into the dark romances and MC romance books.

Jaxson Kidman is my newest favorite author. I am absolutely hooked on the raw emotions and naughtiness of his writing style. Renegade Fire is the first book in his gritty Bitter Aces series. This story really had a bit of everything in it and I found it entertaining from beginning to end.

“It was years ago when I used to pick on the sort-of-ugly girl that lived across the street from me. She was smart though. She got out of town. Me? I’m patched into the Bitter Aces MC and we rule the town of Bishop. Nothing or nobody stands in our way.”

Gage and Willow were amazing characters. They both had it rough growing up right across the street from each other. Their backstories were richly developed and heartbreaking to read at times. As kids they were nemesis, as teens they were drawn to each other, and then as adults they shared an attraction they couldn’t deny. Their characters were complex and flawed and even Gage was vulnerable from time to time.

I can’t say there was much suspense to this story, the MC only played a small part, but it was very heartfelt, emotional and had incredibly hot love scenes. It was bittersweet and even had humorous moments too. I loved the characters, story and fast flowing dialogue. It was sexy and fun and I enjoyed it immensely.

Can love between a rich girl and a bastard survive without someone losing it all?

Emily Minton and Shelley Springfield continue their fabulous Grim Bastards MC series with book two, Filthy Bastard.

You could tell Brew and Addy had something gong on back in Dirty Bastard, and the first part of their story does coincide with that book. It was also obvious that there was something troubling happening with Addy’s family, but as we learned in this story, Brew had his own family baggage. These two had an instant connection but with so much to overcome at times their problems seemed unsurmmountable.

Filthy Bastard was a raw, gritty and completely enthralling read. Brew and Addy grabbed my attention from beginning to end. I was rooting for them and crying when the sad parts tugged at my heart. This was a sexy story and most importanly it was full of feeling. The one aspect that I disliked and kind of considered cheating was when Brew was turning to the club girls for relief. They weren’t exactly together at that point but in my mind they were already the perfect couple, so I just didn’t think it was right. Still above all, I loved this book and am so looking forward to the next one in the series. This book / series will definitely appeal to anyone who reads biker romance.

She soon discovers she also must focus on winning the heart of a handsome firefighter who understands down to his soul the beautiful heiress who lives across the street is used to a life he cannot provide.

Once again, Kristen Ashley has left me stunned at the profound beauty of her storytelling. Soaring is the second book in her Magdalene series, and as much as I loved the first book, The Will, I’m absolutely crazy over this one.

Amelia Hathaway is a rich heiress who has lost everything that really mattered most to her. Her husband was a serial cheater who left her for another woman and after Amelia lashed out in anger she also lost her two children. That was a wake up call so the story picks up when she follows them all the way across country from Cali to Maine to make amends. There was some heartbreaking family drama as they did not make it easy on her, but Amelia was determined to win back not just her kid’s hearts but to make a fresh start in her entire life. On her first day she meets Mickey Donovan the hot firefighter and contractor who lives right across the street. Mickey also has two kids and his own fair share of family baggage. These two were attracted to each other but for seperate personal reasons they fought getting involved with some hurt feelings along the way. A few changes and romantic rivals later they finally give in to desire and are soon burning up the sheets in an incredibly hot love affair.

As usual, the character development was great and progressed as Amelia and Mickey’s relationship evolved into something real. For me one of the singular aspects of this and every Kristen Ashley book is how she makes me feel her characters. She brings them to life with their flaws and perfections and blends them into characters who stick out in my memory. Amelia made neccessary changes in her life to grow into an even stronger woman who never tried to hide her mistakes. Mickey was a very strong character who reminded me of Tack in Motorcycle Man, who just happens to be my all time favorite book boyfriend. I loved that they both loved their children and put their happiness above all else but that they still worked hard at overcoming the obstacles in their relationship.

This is a very long book at 597 pages, but it is so worth the read. It is emotional and steamy and incredibly very well written. The characters are amazing. I loved this book so much ! Believe me when I say it is not to be missed.

Can a bastard and a whore find love in each other’s arms?

The fabulous writing team of Emily Minton and Shelley Springfield outdid themselves once again with this novella. I really enjoyed this third chapter in the Grim Bastards MC. Guilty Bastard is a fleeting slice of life that leads up to Smoke’s book. I absolutely loved it and was easily captivated by Lisa and Round’s emotional story.

Round is an integral part of the Grim Bastards MC. He is Smoke’s dad and used to be the VP of the club but has since then stepped down so the younger generation can lead the club. He has an ongoing relationship with Lisa who is the club mama. It’s obvious right away that Round is conflicted about their relationship. I didn’t get why he continued hurting Lisa with his guilt over a dead wife who cheated on him. But I loved Lisa and it made great emotional angst for the story. Of course the drama finally came to the point where Round hurt her enough that Lisa got fed up with being a doormat.

This short biker romance was loaded with emotions and strong characters, even Lisa though at times it may not have seemed that way. Let’s just say that those who love to read about the alpha A-Hole heroes will enjoy this one. As usual, with these two authors, the story was entertaining, well written and fast paced. I was so very pleased with this book.

But when he over hears Lizzie talking about signing up for a 1Night Stand, he decides if he doesn’t make his move, he might miss out on his chance at love.

I enjoyed this second short story in Melissa Kendall’s Castle Wolves series. It was a steamy fun paranormal romp that had plenty of feeling to go along with the sexy times.

The first book of this shifter series featured Garth the Alpha of the Castle Wolves pack, and we were also introduced to his best friend and right hand man, Brute. This is Brute’s story where he finally reveals his feelings for Garth’s little sister, Elizabeth. We find out why he waited so long to make his move on Lizzie and how hard it was to be the kind of mate she needed. There were a few climactic scenes where the conflict exploded but for the most part this story was dominated by some incredibly hot sex scenes.

I liked Brute and Elizabeth. They had great chemistry together and their sex scenes were incendiary. This story was also something different for me as the reader. I haven’t read many stories where the heroine is a Domme but I have to say that I found myself enjoying this one. I liked the BDSM aspect, especially. I liked how the author showed their vulnerable sides as well.

All in all, this short story was well written and I read it at a super fast pace. As with the first book, the author ended it a bit abruptly, so there was a spot of disappointment with that. I would have liked more resolution between Brute and Garth but that won’t keep me from reading the next book. I assume it will be Mason and look forward to his story.

Can a one-night stand bring two people the one thing they most desperately want, or will the reality of what they are send them both running?

I enjoyed this short shifter romance. The story had some great aspects like true mates, insta-chemistry, wolf pack suspense and hot sex. It kept me interested from beginning to end.

It was need and desperation that drew Garth and Madeline together. Garth stood to lose his position as Castle Pack Alpha unless he had an heir on the way by his fiftieth birthday. I was left feeling a bit disappointed about that, but it won’t keep me from reading the next book. I’m already looking forward to What She Needs, book two in the Castle Wolves series.

Can love between two rival clubs survive without someone taking the ultimate fall?

Dirty Bastard begins a new series and collaboration for two amazing authors, Emily Minton and Shelley Springfield. It is an amazing read that already has me hooked on the series.

The plot had an intriguing setup where a betrayal ended an uneasy friendship between two MC clubs but also for a young Boz and Trix. Years pass before they meet again. Boz is now the president of the Grim Bastards and when an important gun shipment goes missing he is manipulated into thinking it was Trix’s dad’s club, the Satan’s Revenge MC. He makes the choice to kidnap his rival’s daughter, namely Trix, and she is taken along with her best friend Addy. Trix has grown into a strong beautiful woman perfect to be an Old Lady. The attraction is still as hot as ever but they fight it at first because of hurt feelings and the trouble between the two clubs…until Trix is put in danger and they finally give into their desires. Even then the drama wasn’t quite over as Boz continued to be betrayed over and over with Trix caught in the middle.

This plot was fantastic ! The authors played up the gritty club life, the corruption, greed and betrayal. It had plenty of smoking hot sexy times and even some sad sweet moments. It was well written and flew by at a lightning speed. I loved the characters, even the interesting secondary ones, especially as the story left off with something going on between Brew and Addy. I can’t wait for their book. I’m sure that other biker romance readers will love this book just as much as I did.

We met Mattie and Julian in the first book, Holding Out, and I just wanted so badly to read their story. Lila Rose has an incredible talent for bring her characters to life and making you want more. They are funny and sweet and sexy and complex. I loved Mattie and Julian from the first moment I met them and couldn’t wait to dive into their story.

These amazing characters drew me in from the first page. Mattie was living a lie because he was so afraid to come out as openly gay. It took Julian and his charming personality to bring him out but it was still an angsty process. Despite his quiet personality I still had no problem in connecting with Mattie. I saw him as a silent alpha because once the story got going I could see that he kind of had a dominant side too. He was as different from Julian as night and day. Julian had a loud personality. He was open about being gay even though it brought him pain from his family and others. Julian beamed warmth and sweetness and charm but he had a sadness that was always there too. These two were a perfect balance for each other and somehow Lila Rose brought it out in every scene.

As always, Lila Rose was at the top of her game when she wrote this book. It is beautifully written and incredibly developed. This emotional sexy story is fast paced and the characters were simply amazing. I recommend this book/series to everyone.

Hold onto your hat because Reaper’s Kiss is a hot one !

Reaper’s Kiss is my first time reading a Jaxson Kidman book. Now I am hooked like an addict because I absolutely adore his writing style. This exciting story was dark and gritty and sexy. I couldn’t get enough. I loved the main couple, Jace and Ava, who were so flipping hot together. Jace was the alpha bad boy boy biker who always put the club first until sweet innocent Ava came into his life. Ava’s father gets into some serious trouble and sends her into the Outlaw’s arms for protection. I really love these kinds of stories because they never fail to reel me in and captivate until the end. Ava and Jace were characters who both stood out and they had an intense sexual tension that was almost palpable. Good lord those sex scenes were unapologetically raw and smoking hot. The storyline easily captured my attention with a slowly developing suspense and unexpected turns that held my attention all the way through.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book and really hope that Jaxson Kidman will revisit the gritty world of the Bitter Aces sooner rather than later. When I get this far hooked on a series then I’m always anxiously waiting for the next one so I can fall in love all over again.
