I enjoyed this book a lot. The fast paced drama and the characters pulled me into the story and then I fell more in love with the hero as each page was turned.

I loved reading Stake and Santana’s story. This is a great story of redemption and salvation for each of them. Santana grew up as a child of the Kings Of Bedlam MC. Her dad was an enforcer for the club until he got killed in prison. After that the entire club turned their backs on Santana and her mom. Santana is unaware of it but her mom had blackmailed the club and as a result Santana was suffering for it. Stake had to make a hard choice of choosing Santana or his club. He chose the club the first time but felt tremendous guilt for leaving her. When he discovered how much Santana needed him then he didn’t hesitate in making the right choice. From that moment on Santana was his first choice and he didn’t hesitate in claiming her as his Old Lady.

Santana pulled at my heart and I loved the angst and drama of her situation but the abuse and attempted rape could be an emotional trigger for some readers. If not then it will certainly be an emotional read that will tug at your heart. For myself this was the kind of story that I enjoy reading. It was easy to fall in love with Stake because he was ready to give up everything for Santana. I also liked the heat level in the story. It was a steamy read that was very well written and fast paced. It also had some intriguing secondary characters that I would enjoy reading about, especially Tiny and Gypsy.

I enjoyed this book and would love to read more books set in the Kings Of Bedlam world. Biker romance readers will love this one. So happy reading with my recommendation.

He is just an all-around good guy and considering his rough childhood, I could understand why. He clearly never wants to see people mistreated the way he was and it makes him a very enduring character.

Abilene is a strong woman who does not take loyalty lightly. She and Zak actually share many of the same characteristics so it is easy to see why they are immediately drawn to one another. Though she is not very impressed by Zak in the beginning, her kitty seems to like him and she knows there is just something about him that will keep her coming back .

One thing I have always loved about the author’s stories is that the series always incorporates characters from previous stories. This allows you to not only meet new characters but to catch up on old favorites. It also allows the overlying story line to continuously grow and develop. This story is no exception. However, the story is also not dependent on the others so if this is your first you will not feel lost, but you might have a desire to go back and read others to learn more about the characters.

As with other Crissy Smith stories, I would highly recommend this to pretty much anyone and look forward to reading many more.

Hazel is one amazing woman, even though she has had some events in her life that has left her a bit jaded. I think on a personal level I related to her; she built a hard exterior to keep others out. That helped me connect with her as well as root for her from the very beginning. I knew she could find happiness if only she came to terms with her past and I was glad to watch the development.

Dylan is just too suave for his own good. I mean, how many girls and guys can he seduce really? I can tell why people seem to love him he just has a way about him. He makes you want to accept, respect, and submit to him. Yet, he does not take it for granted which really is a gift in itself.

Ward on the other hand is a guy I could never really figure out if I liked or hated, which is exactly how Hazel felt most times, and exactly what the author was going for. Even in the end I learned to appreciate him a bit more, but I still felt like someone needed to keep an eye on that one just in case. I also understand how he added a certain level of excitement and unpredictability to the story that really brought it to a different level.

Overall, I have to say I enjoyed reading this story. The relationship development was shaky at times but still continuously progressed. I have to say however that this is not one of those stories that left me thinking “and they lived happily ever after”. I felt like in the end some things went unresolved and could have used some wrapping up, but this may just be the authors way of getting me to look forward to the next story.

As I was reading the chapter where Shannon is at the doctor discussing the results of her biopsy, I was waiting to have a biopsy done. Though at that moment I stopped reading because it was unnerving to be in a situation so similar to the character I was reading about.

Following Shannon’s results the author painted a vivid picture of Shannon’s story that I could actually picture her during her moments of questioning why her, her moments of wanting to hide. Thankfully those moments passed and she found her strength and bravery. This really touched me and though Shannon is a fictitious character, her issue is one of a real woman that is facing real life health issues. Though my biopsy results were not favorable I am glad I read this story. Shannon’s story left an impression that I will be able to reflect back on.

I felt that Jay and Shannon physical relationship took off pretty fast, but I was so happy that they both were on the same accord. Jay is such a sweetheart to continuously support and save his sister when she ask, even though she got on my nerves always calling Jay for her financial needs. Shannon’s mother is another character that stayed on my nerves but I’m sure at least one reader can relate to having a mother that can’t help but meddle in their adult child’s life.

This story has two of my favorite things delicious food and a hot man cooking it! I like the balance of personal life and work life. The chef reality show is a nice addition that makes for an entertaining and fun read.

A heartfelt book of emotions that were so poignant they left a lasting impression. In addition, I would like to thank the author for a well written lasting experience.

Though this story reflects the ordeal I am facing and that a lot of women have faced, fault, survived and unfortunately a few readers may have even lost someone close to breast cancer, Nichelle has given readers a glimpse into one woman’s story that could very well be an encouraging story to someone that may actually need to read this.

When he saw Calida, he knew right away that Calida was his soulmate. The fact that she didn’t believe in soulmates was challenging but he knew that he had to convince her of it.

I like the character of Tiarnan, he was a fighter and he had a deep love for Calida. Calida on the other hand loved him but was jealous of his relationship with another. After a while, her whining about it was annoying and for me it took away from the joy of the story. I don’t find nagging, whiny female characters engaging.

The story itself is a good one, and it should be read. As I said this is the fifth book in the series and it can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend that you start with the first book Keeper of the Stars and work your way through the series. That way you have a good idea of who all the characters are, and what their strengths are. Aliyah Burke has written a very good series and it will surely entertain you.

Out of all the six books in the Astral Guardians series, I have to say that I enjoyed this one the most. Dracen Lloyd is fierce, strong, deadly, and she didn’t show fear. However, there was a vulnerability within her that the author brought out which drew you into this character. Lucas Kyle brought that vulnerability out of her which made his character the perfect complement to hers. He was strong as well, never one to be left behind when there was a fight pending. The love that developed between these characters was rich and even though Dracen did not want to admit it, she loved Lucas. I loved how throughout the series the author Aliyah Burke kept her female characters strong, because I never want to read a story with a weak simpering female as the main character. The male characters were just as strong and they stood toe to toe with their mates, especially in battle.

I really loved this story, once you start reading you don’t want to stop. All of the books in this series were good, each one showcasing the different powers and strengths of each guardian. This is a series that should be read from the beginning starting with the first book Keeper of the Stars and ending with Moon fire. That way you can get to know each character and the struggles they went through to find their mates and their artifact. Aliyah Burke has written a strong series that I can see myself reading again.

Ethan on the other hand is a no nonsense type of guy who seems to have everything in life worked out. He is one of those characters that you just know always had it together even at a young age. With both being almost extreme cases it is easy to see why so many believe opposites attract, and with these two it creates quite an explosion.

Initially picked this story because I was looking for a M/M BDSM story. Something that would really wow me if possible. I can say that this author certainly did that, which is no easy feat. I was extremely impressed on the author’s clear knowledge of BDSM as well as her relationship development. It was not rushed as I find with some other stories. She seem to take her time and really build up the bond required between the two characters. This made it very believable in my eyes. I even enjoyed how frenzied Andy seems at times to submit to Ethan yet he keeps a cool head. I can say that if anyone is looking for a high quality BDSM story this one is a must read.

William Dunwick, the Earl of Greystone, was a loyal advisor to King John, and he was the friend who helped Simon and Elise in the first book of this series. Still, he was bound and determined to do his duty when the king orders him to escort an recalcitrant, and independent window to the alter. Blanche really does not want to marry, so she tries to run away, only to be tracked down by a clever Will and then chained to his side for a hasty trip back.

Unlike in the first book, I wasn’t as completely convinced of the romance for Will and Blanche. However, the sexual tension was incredible between these two. Despite her anger, Blanche was fascinated by Will, his size, his handsome looks, and bold manner. She wanted him in her bed even as she fought for her freedom. For his part Will was just as attracted to Blanche, so he decides to teach her a few sexual tricks that he picked up along the way. As with the first book, this was a sultry story, with vivid sex scenes, and anal play. Will and Blanche grow even closer and realize that they share common sorrows, but by then their time together draws to an end amidst greedy power plays and political intrigue. Will has a choice to make, either bow down to King John or somehow convince him to change his mind.

I was easily pulled into this story. It was well written and fast paced, and I liked the vibrant, and likeable characters, rich history, and steamy sexual tension. So now it’s on to the third and final book in this exciting series.

I absolutely loved this sexy, medieval romance by Cerise DeLand.

The plot was interesting. Once, long ago, Simon and Elise were childhood friends. Then as young lovers they were forced apart by her father, who maried Elise off to an older man. Now her husband is dying and without an heir, so the Earl concocts a scheme for Elise to conceive a child with another man. He chooses Simon de la Poer who by now is a legendary lover, and the man that Elise still desires. Simon and Elise want each other and now they have her husband’s full approval to fulfill their every naughty desire. They begin a scorching erotic affair, that inevitably gets complicated by greed and political intrigue.

This was a short story, but incredibly rich and vibrantly descriptive. It is romantic because Elise and Simon were in love all along, and the author managed to convey those feelings, so there was a definite emotional connection. It was suspenseful with a betrayal and murder to keep it interesting. It was steamy, Elise and Simon made up for their lost time with lots of hot, vividly detailed sex. I did feel that Simon belonged more in a BDSM novel; he was a naughty dirty talker with some kinky tricks up his sleeve. Lastly, there was a bit of voyeurism, since Simon and Elise had sex while her husband was in the bed with them. This only happened the one time, but it’s still worth a mention.

All in all this short story was an incredibly sensual read, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I was so captivated by this story that I hung on every word of this emotional story. Here was a love story that was rich in emotion and history, for Kat and Geoffrey had loved and been torn apart in the past. Years later, Kat has refused a greedy king’s lust for money, land, and her own body. In retaliation King John had her imprisoned, tortured and starved. This story snagged my attention, and my heart, with Kat’s desperate situation, and Geoffrey risking everything to defy the tyrannical King John and rescue his lost love. So much turmoil was heaped upon these two star crossed lovers in this story. It was truly heart wrenching reading in some parts. Now, as much as my heart broke for Kat, this was also an incredibly sensual story. The intimate scenes were heated with scorching passion, and of all things, raunchy sexual toys.

Honestly, for a short story, this plot was put together perfectly. The author slowly unraveled the intricacies of Geoffrey and Kat’s relationship. It was revealed that their bond had never been broken. They were tied together in more ways than one. I was absolutely delighted as each new secret was revealed.

At heart this was a very romantic story about two people who had to defy a king to be together. For me that is the best kind of romance, and when it all came together for them in the end, I rejoiced for these fictional characters. I really can’t say enough good things about Cerise DeLand’s writing style and the Swords Of Passion Series …. just that With Her Kiss has to be my favorite. I am happy to recommend this book !
