The sex scenes are sexy, the dialogue and pacing ideal for this short a read.

I would have preferred that the author turn this into a full length novel and maybe develop Laura and Gianmario’s relationship slower but other than that if you like suspense and enjoy a hot foreign locale, then I’d definitely recommend this story to you.

Although this is a short read, I felt immersed in the story and needed to know what would happen next. I liked the twists and turns as well. Just when I thought things would go one way, Ms. Kell zagged. I didn’t know what would happen next, but I sure held on to find out.

Now I did say this story was complicated. It is, but it’s a good thing. Kevin’s tired of being alone. He wants his mate, not just someone to warm the bed. I can’t say I blame him. This story was an enjoyable short read, with an almost fairytale feel to it. Even though this story was very much a paranormal, the emotions of its characters were very realistic. The fear, the hope and the desire were so believable. Aisha and Max could have been any modern day couple just trying to make their way to that one person that is the right one for them. Ms. Holt tells the story well from both points of view. I felt just as connected to Max as I did to Aisha. I felt Aisha’s desire for Max and her fear that even what she felt for him wouldn’t be enough and I could totally sympathize with Max for being reluctant to risk losing her all together.

I felt like Sav’s acceptance of Mindy in their lives is a sign of his love and trust in Aaran that was integral to making the whole relationship work.

My only real problem with the story is that I felt like I was thrown into the story with only a couple of snapshots of the past to get me caught up and invested in the present before it moves swiftly towards the HEA. I would like to have been given some more background on both Arran and Mindy’s relationship as well as how/where Aaran met and fell in love with Sav. Having said that, this is a short story and it is still an entertaining read despite its length. Tangled Up appears to be the third in a series but it works without issue as a stand-alone. If you read Must Be Doing Something Right or Learning How To Bend you’ll enjoy being treated with a visit from the co-owner of Besta Pizza Around, Nate Waterford.

Are you are looking for a sweet and unique twist on a menage in the making? If so, pick up a copy of Tangled Up. This little novella has plenty of heart coupled with some steamy heat in just the right mix to keep you reading. This is an easy read as well as an obvious recommend!

She is sassy and hides behind her humor, when what she wants is to be loved for who she is.

Ryan Black is a handsome and sexy guy. He is also able to see the spirits that walk the Earth, and in some cases, help them move on. But he is stuck trying to decide what to do about his dead wife Felicity: be true to her memory or move on? I like that he is not Mr. Perfect, confident and sure of himself. He comes off a bit cocky at first, but as the story goes on, you see that it hides his insecurity.

The secondary characters are well crafted as well, although many are actually spirits. I loved the scene where Ryan is talking to Matilda Snodgrass, the office gossip and Samara comes in and sees them talking: she doesn’t realize Matilda is a spirit, and she can actually see her. That is the first hint that Samara is more than just a normal woman, and is actually Ryan’s Spirit Mate. There are several intriguing twists that come between Ryan and Samara, and for a bit it looked bad for them. I enjoyed watching these two go head to head and learn to care about each other, and when they finally get together, the heat level is off the charts.

I recommend this for all those folks who like their heroes just a little less than perfect.
