These were incredibly fast reads that are highly entertaining and enjoyable.

It’s the paranormal aspect that allows the main characters to go from the initial meeting to ‘hot-to-trot’ within minutes of being in each other’s proximity. I like that the author included a valid reasoning and a tradition that all characters on stage have been tutored and trained in. What I liked is how the author interjected a unique conflict and drama in each one to give the plots teeth and motivation. They all worked for me but especially the last one.

Scarlet’s story sets up the world building and the crux of the story arc. Gabriella’s turn was fascinating because for all her humanness, she turns the tables on her combatant and proves she’s not as weak and discombobulated as she sometimes came across. It was a wonderful surprise. It’s amazing what love will motivate a person to do. Finally, Whitney’s exciting adventure wraps up the trilogy in a grand style because it exposes a deeply hidden lie and blows the lid off of an evil conspiracy. Ms. Kyle saved the best for last.

All the male heroes are hunky, totally alpha and aim to please their women. The author saved all the sexy fun hijinks for later in each novella once the heroine and her heroes have jumped the dramatic hurdles they were confronted with. Sex is the goal but love is the prize.

I enjoyed the dialogue, the settings and the discourse between all the characters in each book. None of them were copies of the other but were unique and special in their own ways. Erotic romance readers will thrill to all the three-way action but none of it would have worked without the wonderful plots they were couched in. Yes, they are short but Ms. Kyle focused on giving readers the best experience in the quickest amount of time. So, if a reader can only read a story a day, the enjoyment can be spread out. As for me, I couldn’t stop, didn’t want to stop until I read all three, which meant 1 A.M. Ouch.

The Alpha Marked series was a readaholic’s treat. I had a lot of fun meeting Scarlet, Gabriella and Whitney and their mates and commend Ms. Kyle on giving me a memorable reading experience. I do so love a good growly alpha, or two.

First I laughed at the term, Mr. Buick, then I giggled at the antics of Chloe’s mom, and just adored the way the heroine was open and accepting of everything about the hero, Holt. I liked that he was a big, bad, scary dude that no one messed with except Chloe. She had no fear of him. It’s that openness and enthusiasm for life that I found charming about their relationship. Holt loved her for who she was, and she him. There were no preconceptions or miscommunications. I think some of that might have been Chloe’s mom’s influence. She wanted grandbabies in the worst way and her support of her daughter’s willingness to mate with a shifter might have made the heroine more open to the possibility than most. Her mom reminded me of a 60s love guru – peace, love, and all that. To top it all off, her mom showed up in the most unexpected places and it gave me fits of giggles. I’ve read many a story about a manipulative parent but Choe’s mom broke the mold.

Wanting a Mate is a crowd pleaser; it really is. It’s quirky, lighthearted, and optimistic, and the sexy shenanigans between Holt and Chloe were well written and entertaining scenes. Mating is a growly, sweaty and sensual business but the authors still managed to imbue those passion filled moments with humor and charm. This is such an awesome story even though it moves at a fast clip. It’s not deep, but it’s huge on appeal and the relationship between the hero and heroine is engaging. I’m a satisfied reader.

What a cute and sexy story! I laughed and giggled at the heroine’s internal dialogue. With such phrases as “Go team furry!” and mentions of butter cream frosting and cake, there’s such a lighthearted tone to this tale, even when the claws and fangs come out to do serious wolf protection stuff, I had no worries that the book would go dark. The force of nature that was Brenna wouldn’t allow for it.

This novelette was the perfect size for me to enjoy while I had an hour or two to fill. I wanted something breezy, enjoyable, entertaining yet sexy and steamy and I got all of that from reading Waking up Were. I was left feeling happy and satisfied by the end.

Yes, things happen kind of fast in the story, relationship wise, but that makes perfect sense since it is a short. And, since the author slid in the fact that Declan and Brenna knew each other for a good length of time previously, it made the pace of their accelerated relationship more believable. The paranormal aspect certainly sealed it.

For erotic romance readers, this book is on the light side. It has plenty to satisfy but the sex scenes do not take two or three pages to describe. The author gave me just the right amount and balanced it wonderfully with Brenna’s coming to terms with her now being a werewolf, and the fact that her yummy boss, Declan, is not only a wolf but is determined to claim her as his own. That push pull was further complicated by the demands of her own horny wolf. I grinned a lot while reading even while appreciating the heat between them.

Waking up Were is a rollicking good time and I’m really glad I picked it to read. Ms. Kyle has a reputation for clever quips and cute sayings throughout her books and this one is no exception. It’s light, it’s fast paced and, it’s romantic and fun at the same time. This is the kind of story a reader picks if they want to just sit back and be entertained for a bit. I recommend Waking up Were for that reason and more.

I liked the world building, the dialogue, the atmosphere and the relationship between Mia and her dad. I also liked that the author surprised me with hidden layers and depths of her characters. It made up for the speediness of Ty’s manipulations in getting Mia into his house and into his bed. True, the heroine put up a good fight and made Ty work for it, which I appreciated, but there was a quickness to the process that seemed rushed and a tad unrealistic. Then again, this is a paranormal romance and bears aren’t exactly patient creatures with social graces so actually, that impatience of his was part of Ty’s charm.

The bad guys are bad on various levels. I liked that Ms. Kyle stated matter-of-factly the damage that was done to one of the betrayed bad guys. I didn’t need to read graphic descriptions to understand how vile and blood thirsty and deviant they were and I am very glad the author handled it the way she did. It provided drama and suspense and action but the story did not come across as dark. It was a very good balance.

I laughed quite a bit during Ty and Mia’s courtship. Seemed they always got interrupted and Ty’s reaction was funny. There were emotional highlights that stemmed from the little cub and the affectionate term, “little cub”. I won’t say much more than that but it definitely touched my feelings and engaged me and solidified my attachment and caring for the main characters and some of the secondary characters.

I also enjoyed meeting Ty’s brothers. To say they were yummy is an understatement. The author provided just enough character reference to make me very interested in following the brothers to see just what kind of HEA they end up getting. They were a solid hook.

Paranormal romance readers can’t go wrong in giving No Ifs, Ands, or Bears About It a try. It’s quirky, fun, sexy and highly entertaining. I greatly enjoyed this author’s storytelling voice and heartily recommend this to anyone who likes their shifter romances and heroes on the lighter growly side.

There’s some humor, some sadness, but most of all a sexy hero, who just happens to be a lion shapeshifter. He comes across as caring while being dominant which I felt added to his appeal. And then there’s Tess who, although this is paranormal story, you can bond with and cheer for. She’s been through a rough time and Harding is the mate who will help her heal.

What I liked most about this story was most of the scenes just featured Tess and Harding. Sometimes they were intense and the sexual tension sizzled which turned this into a fun read.

After reading Sealed With a Purr I’ll be checking out more of the series. And if you enjoy shapeshifting stories that feature creatures besides wolves, this might be a good pick for you.

I am not usually a big fan of short stories but after seeing book two of this series and wanting it I had to pick up book one Jennifer’s Lion to read as well. I’m one of those people who hate to read a series out of order. The cover was nice and the excerpt was good so I didn’t pay much attention to the word count which was a good thing or I would have passed over it, and missed out on a thoroughly entertaining story.

What surprised me was that, for such a short story it was full of details and action that kept me from feeling as though I was missing something or had been dropped into the middle of the book. The plot was full of action and fun that kept me entertained until the end.

The only thing I disliked about the book was that it was way too short — I didn’t want it to end. I wanted more. Ms. Lee is one author that I will be keeping an eye out for. I hope she’ll start writing longer stories in the same series because I found Jennifer’s Lion yummy and would love to read more!

Sarah Whitaker is one woman who will leave the reader laughing and admiring her guts in times of danger. I spent so much time laughing at the characters and their antics. However, I need to add that if I came face to face with a lion I would not cream my panties as Sarah did. Wet them, maybe! But that is one of the exciting things about reading paranormal romance right?

I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a short but good shifter book with a cute and entertaining plot. I will never look at a big cat on the internet without remembering a few of the details from this book.
