THREE AMAZING THINGS ABOUT YOU begins as Hallie goes on a journey. A donor has been found and she’s about to be given new lungs. But whose?

Imagine a life where you knew you had a short amount of time to live; how would you live those remaining days?

Hallie lives just such a life; without a very rare and risky transplant she faces the certainty of a short life. Yet, Hallie takes every opportunity to change the lives of those around her. Jill Mansell takes the reader on an adventure behind the advice columns. So often we read the columns, deliberate on the advice for better or for worse and then head off on our own lives. Yet, behind each article or column written there is a true to life person with their own hopes, dreams and fears.

From beginning to end, Jill tugs at the heartstrings of the reader and entices them into a world that many of us consider exists but are often thankful that those experiences and fears are not necessarily our own. The cast of characters including the cat which is at the center of a huge family dispute only add to the advanced storytelling that only Jill can weave together.

I especially enjoyed the various situations that Flo and Hallie end up in; especially when the men become involved. Overall the structure and plot layout was great. When beginning the read, there are an almost overwhelming amount of characters to keep track of and the reader and begin to feel a little overwhelmed. As the story moves along, the reader begins see what the author has in store and how everything flows.

This is an amazing read and challenges the reader to look beyond the superficial world that we tend to take for granted. The author challenges each one who reads the book to see more than just daily life but to see the impact that we, as an individual, have on the lives around us.

There’s something about prosecuting attorney Elle McCoy that Deputy Gabe Dawson just can’t get enough of. Even with Gabe’s family legacy in law enforcement and promising career, Elle’s smart, sassy rejection of all his charm makes Gabe want her even more.

But Gabe’s confidence is shaken when he’s shot on the steps of the courthouse, protecting Elle from a terrorist intent on revenge. Worse, Elle isn’t out of danger yet. But as they race to counter the terrorist’s next move, Gabe determines to prove to Elle—and himself—that he’s a man worthy of her.

“Irredeemable” is what Elle McCoy, a lawyer in the prosecutor’s office, calls Deputy Gabe Dawson. She’s known him since high school when he, even then, was cocky, swaggering, arrogant and handsome with girls chasing him.

She refuses to be one of his many lady friends. However, when threats and true danger come for both them and their loved ones, they stand together with firm resolve.

Love, so long denied, wiggles its way in through all the danger, strife, and ugliness and holds on tenaciously. It is like a golden thread that shines through the darkness—heart satisfying.

The anti-cop antagonist Jed Moore, with his deranged way of thinking, made this reader’s flesh crawl. The author does a wonderful job of making Jed’s character mean. What Jed has done to his own family, emotionally, mentally, and physically, is horrific.

I admit I put this good story down for a time because of the over use of crude words that did not seem to fit characters who prayed in church and who spent their time protecting and defending people. But the plot and the characters I’d come to care about pulled me back. I really wanted to know how Gabe and Elle got their happy-ever-after and to be sure Jed got his comeuppance.

The back story, the intrigue, the undercurrent of unease, the action, and the romance were well woven together to create suspense on several levels.

Rescued from an icy mountaintop by a Delta operative, Melissa Moore has never met a challenge she can’t conquer. Not only she will make Delta Force, she will be the best female warrior in The Unit, and woe to anyone who says otherwise. Technical wizard Richie Goldman is Bond’s “Q” turned warrior. A genius about everything except women, he takes point on the team’s most dangerous mission yet. When the Delta Force team goes undercover in the depths of the Colombian jungle, surviving attacks from every side requires that Richie and Melissa strike right at the heart of the matter…and come out with their own hearts intact.

Rough and ready, silent as a shadow, lethal as lightning, this Delta Force team wraps up one successful mission and sets up shop as dirty, down-on-their-luck drug-runners. However, they’ve been sent a new member for the team, a member they don’t think they need. Kyle, Carla, Duane, Chad, and Richie are a cohesive team. They know each others’ strengths and use them efficiently. They’re a little hostile about having to take on a newbie.

Melissa “The Cat” has completed all her training with flying colors. She hates being separated from her old team and has no idea how she can contribute to “the-best-of-the-best” team at taking out drug cartels both small and large in South America. How she copes and contributes is a WOW! She is no shrinking violet. How these high-octane people blend when ‘the chips are down” is exciting and fun to read about from the get-go.

Richie, the nerd and genius of the team besides being one lethal warrior, connects with Melissa in more than one special way. As danger escalates and their attraction to each other heats up, the reader is taken on a vicarious ride that sends the adrenaline racing and the heart singing then sighing with satisfaction.

No one does anything in halfway measures in this team! They kill when it’s necessary, they blow things up, and they outmaneuver the enemy. They do what needs to be done to get the job done. They are dead serious about their work, but the humor that threads through the relationship they have with each other is such fun to read.

I accept the names and technical terms about the planes, guns, and equipment as true since I know nothing about these things, but it sounds like they do since they use them all to their full advantage.

Heart Strike is beautifully written, exciting to the Nth degree with dangerous doings and with sensual, sizzling love scenes that heat the blood.

Once in a while a M. L. Buchman story hits the spot like a cold glass of ice tea on a hot summer day. GOOD READING!

Texas Homecoming

Violet Jacobs is fearless. At least, that’s what the cowboys she snatches from under the hooves of bucking horses think. Outside the ring, she’s got plenty of worries rattling her bones: her young son, her mess of a love life, and lately, her family’s struggling rodeo. When she takes business into her own hands and hires on a hotshot bullfighter, she expects to start a ruckus. She never expected Joe Cassidy. Rough and tumble, cocky and charming, Joe’s everything a superstar should be-and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out he’s way out of Violet’s league.

Joe came to Texas to escape a life spiraling out of control. He never planned on sticking around, and he certainly never expected to call this dry and dusty backwater home. But Violet is everything he never knew he was missing, and the deeper he’s pulled into her beautiful mess of a family, the more he realizes this fierce rodeo girl may be offering him the one thing he never could find on his own.

Violet Jacobs has “a head for business and a heart for thrills.” She is the business manager for Jacobs Livestock, a rodeo stock business. She is also a pickup ”man” in the arena during the bronc riding and the bull riding. However, working pickup in the arena isn’t nearly as reckless as what she has done after a few drinks in a bar—all of which are widely known in the rodeo world.
Eventually, your sexual organ swells and gets mouthsofthesouth.com viagra generico cipla cyanosed. But, it is also necessary to treat this disorder in men is available now, mouthsofthesouth.com viagra generika Kamagra 50mg and kamagra 100mg. cialis online go to these guys Another preferred treatment is injections, through which drug is directly injected into the penile region of the body. Just like viagra cialis cheap, they only work when the patient faints all of a sudden with or without losing awareness.
Top-notch rodeo bullfighter Joe Cassidy, manipulated by his partner and unshakable friend, finds himself working a small rodeo with Jacobs Livestock—not his usual high-profile rodeo.

Violet and Joe strike sparks off each other. Soon Violet sees beneath the cold, sarcastic, arrogant façade Joe presents to the world. They connect in a way neither had intended.

Violet, her five-year-old son Beni, and her extended family are close-knit and very supportive of each other and even include Delon who is a long time friend and the father of Beni—product of one of those reckless nights after one tequila too many; while Joe’s only true support is his meddlesome friend Wyatt—an intriguing character that captured my heart.

The undercurrents of secret desires, self doubts, and feelings of unworthiness trickle through the story. Even though the main characters have more than their share of flaws, they are loyal, strong, helpful, hardworking, and honest in their dealings. Then, there is Dick Browning, Joe’s nemesis—a villain we love to hate. He seems to have none of these good qualities.

The almost love scenes, the ones that get interrupted in humorous ways are fun to read. When that uninterrupted love scene finally comes, it is breathtaking. Two restless hearts and souls know they have come home—right where they want to be.

The dialogue enhances the story. It is sharp, sparkling, and shiny, with unique expressions that entertain. Only a few times does the F word show up to tarnish the shine.

I’m not sure I really liked the characters, but they did entertain me, and Kari Lynn Dell writes in a smooth style that is a delight to read.

On the morning of Lily’s twenty-fifth birthday, it’s time to open the very last letter written to her by her beloved mother, who died when she was eight.

Learning more about the first and only real love of her mum’s life is a revelation. On the same day, Lily also meets Eddie Tessler, a man fleeing fame who just might have the ability to change her world in unimaginable ways. But her childhood friend Dan has his own reasons for not wanting Lily to get too carried away by Eddie’s attentions.

Before long, secrets begin to emerge and Lily’s friends and family become involved. In the beautiful Cotswold village of Stanton Langley, nothing will ever be the same again…

Humor, with a delightful British flavor, threads through the story like twinkle light strung in the trees. It varies from subtle to blatant and from dark to light, adding both fun and insight.
These hormones suppress body immune function. viagra wholesale india According to a survey of the United States of America, http://valsonindia.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/2015-2016.pdf viagra on line 4 out of 10 ED male personalities have get transformed their sexual life with this world-class treatment. Uses: This solution is the mix levitra 10 mg buying that of Sildenafil Citrate that helps men to get rid of sexual weakness that are the source of all problems of relationship.
The back stories of many of the characters is sad; yet they cope with, survive, and overcome the past is a theme that tugs at one’s heart. Lily’s story is amazing.

Lily Harper, who could have been SO alone from early childhood, has a bevy of people who love her and claim her as friend and family. Every one of them adds depth to the plot.

Patsy, Lily’s used-to-be baby-sitter, had me smiling and feeling sorry for her at the same time. That dear woman had “to kiss so many frogs’ before she found a prince. But what a prince she did end up with—perfect.

Patsy’s younger brother Dan who had been Lily’s teasing, pestering, big brother figure as they grew up together, grew up to be a different story, complicated, gorgeous, with a secret he guarded well. Not until Lily has a fling with the much-sought-after movie star Eddie Tresslar does Dan come clean. The foreshadowing keeps the reader in the loop and kept me turning pages to see when it was going to happen.

Declan, who had been important in Lily’s mother’s life one year between high school and college, connects with the twenty-five year old Lily and ties in with the doings in Stanton Langley in a way that makes one’s heart happy—one of the best parts of the story

The villain in the story really sets one’s teeth on edge. Keir Bourne, with his self-centered, “poor-me” attitude and total disregard for others, stirs up things in Stanton Langley—Lily’s hometown. He causes way too much hurt to Lily and her friends. How the friendships survive his machinations reveals a special strength of character in the all these interesting characters.

You and Me, Always is a captivating, vicarious visit with some wonderful, good-secret-keeping characters. It’s an entertaining get-away. I’ll bet it’s been a while since you’ve read a love story that mentions a “re-velvet coffin.” Lots of fun things in this one!

Cocktail parties, political fundraisers, and charity events are Maddy Powers’ way of life. But the daring man who appropriated her father’s yacht a couple of months ago is still out there, somewhere, and she wants to pay him back for the scorching kiss they shared.

Behind his suave smile and ladykiller eyes, Bran Palladino carries a dark secret that keeps him from pursuing Maddy… even though he can’t get her out of his head. But when Maddy is kidnapped as part of a grand scheme, it’s time to put up or shut up… because Bran can’t live without Maddy now.

Well, maybe not that many, but it sure seems close to that cialis sale in australia figure. These results affect viagra 25 mg greatly male friends normal and happy life. Julie Ann Walker and her SEALs serve up spicy fare flavored with spark-flying sex and gunfire danger. The humor, euphemisms, dark secrets, and most of all the love that refuses to be denied make Devil and the Deep an exciting, spellbinding story.

Bran Pallidino, while no longer in the military, is still a SEAL from the core out when danger threatens. The “monster” inside him roars to life, eclipsing all his charm, wit, and swagger. Because he fears the “monster” inside himself, he states firmly he does NOT do relationships.

Madison (Maddy) Powers, the little Texas-tornado-of-a-blond, whom Bran rescued earlier from terrorist on her father’s yacht, is ever on his mind. The one kiss they shared left him reeling. Their emailing and talking on the phone afterward, as Bran helps her through the PTSD she suffers, keeps his libido in an uproar.

Maddy sets her mind to see him again. With four older brothers, she is no shrinking violet when it comes to dealing with macho men. She gives tit-for-tat. Fun, a touch raunchy, and always shimmering with love, Maddy and Bran’s journey into total commitment makes heart-melting reading.

Then there’s “motor-mouth” Alexandra (Alex) Merriweather, red-hair, green eyes, and smart. She spends considerable time harassing the big, tough SEALs she works with and has the courage to tell Bran that “..it’s the love we withhold we regret the most.” However, she particularly likes to bedevil the taciturn Mason McCarthy. He claims she drives him crazy, but he’s aware of where she is always.

The heart-in-throat battles to keep Maddy from being kidnapped and held for ransom are don’t-stop, read-faster action-packed scenes that rev up all the senses and bring tears at times.

Devil and the Deep has its share of vulgar language and some very adult scenes, but it entertains from start to finish.

My goodness, I wanted to tell the Deep Six Salvage Company crew where to look for the treasure from the Santa Christiana. From the foreshadowing in the Prologue and the Epilogue, I just know they’re looking in the wrong place. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series to see if I’m right.

Pulled apart by past mistakes…

Sophia Thorne was young and inexperienced when she married the dashing Earl of Averford . . . and through dark and troubled times, their relationship nearly came to an end. Now she’s determined to transform herself into the fiery, ardent lover she always wanted to be, giving them a second chance at love . . . before they’re lost to each other forever.
Alcohol certainly provokes the sexual desire, but it is often specifically geared levitra professional cheapest towards the inability of a male to have or support the erection. This inability to have and maintain an erection during sex. viagra australia price This is possible when you have a medical disorder than a sexual viagra generic sildenafil dysfunction. Driven by a passion neither could deny…

It took nearly losing Sophia for Gabriel to realize he had allowed his love for his great estate to distract him from his beautiful wife. But that time is over. Despite all the obstacles standing in their way, Gabriel vows to teach Sophia what it is to truly love . . . and to be loved by a husband devoted heart and soul to her every desire.

The Great Estate opens with a bang, with Sophia Thorne, Countess Averford, looking at her own portrait and reflecting on the mistakes she’s made. Her marriage was already on shaky ground, when she gave into temptation and kissed another man. Her husband, Gabriel, walked in to find her willingly in another man’s arms. As their marriage deteriorated further, Gabriel decides he has to get away, and leaves for Italy, where he ends up spending a year. Sophia only learns of his return to England second hand, and decides to travel to London to welcome him home, and work on repairing their marriage. As seems to happen with this somewhat star-crossed couple, Gabriel is travelling home at the same time, and the two miss each other.

I’m a great fan of the trope of estranged couples getting back together, but not when it’s due simply to a lack of communication, and this couple could win the prize for not communicating, especially Sophia. I admit that Sophia showed some growth over the course of the book, but I never totally warmed up to her. For example, she greatly enjoyed her initiation into physical love, and Gabriel could tell. Then she remembers that her mother told her that ladies don’t enjoy sex, only whores do, so she turns from hot to barely lukewarm in Gabriel’s arms, leaving him baffled about the change. I hated that she kept pushing Gabriel away after the loss of their child. When he finally stops trying, she seeks out another man to feel wanted.

On the other hand, I adored Gabriel, and found him almost too good to be true. Despite catching Sophia with another man, he remained faithful. His trip to Italy was for self reflection and to learn how to be a better husband and more romantic man in order to win his wife back. I was amazed at the thoughtful and generous gift he planned for Sophia, only to have her all but throw it back in his face.

Sherri Browning writes very well, and I found myself engrossed in this compelling story, wanting to see if this troubled couple could really make a go of it. I plan to read the first two books in this series, perhaps to gain more insight into Sophia’s and Gabriel’s past, as The Great Estate picks up at their estrangement and separation. If you enjoy a story of reconciled lovers, this one’s for you.

HARD TIMES, DESPERATE MEASURES

Sarah Winborne needed a man. Almost any strong man. As a Texas war widow with two small children, she was struggling desperately. There was no money to pay cowhands, no choice but to offer herself in exchange for the backbreaking work required to save her ranch.

Then, just as things seemed darkest, she found a prospect with the kind of broad shoulders and lean body that could accomplish anything. Here was someone Sarah could count on, someone who made her feel pretty for the first time in years. Benton Wheeler was someone who could protect her from all the dangers facing a lone woman in the West. And while their marriage was a business arrangement any man could fill, from the moment he took her in his arms, her heart said…

No One But You takes the reader to Texas a few years after the Civil War when desperate needs demanded desperate action.

Debts, anxiety, doubts, and fear gnaw at Sarah Winborne. With the only bargaining chip she has, she goes to find a husband, a good hardworking, honest man who will agree to her conditions. She needs a miracle.

When they arrive at the Randolph ranch, Sarah and her seven-year-old twins, Jared with a withered leg and Ellen a confirmed tomboy, step into a world like they’ve never known. There they see love, joy, cooperation, bickering, teasing, hard work, respect, and a ranch beginning to prosper.

This segment of the story is a delight. The characters come alive with the excellent writing of Leigh Greenwood. The young, pregnant Rose rules her houseful of men with love and with a firm hand that her men honor.

Here Sarah finds two men willing to consider her conditions. She plans to be practical. However, when she voices her choice, her heart shoves her brain aside and speaks loud and clear—Benton Wheeler (Salty). He’s a man from war ravaged Georgia. His back story weaves a strong thread through the tapestry of this story—compelling and heartbreaking. He is unforgettable—a man with every reason to be bitter. But he chose another path.

The villains, with their self-centered desires, create some heart-stopping incidents that threaten not only the livelihood of Sarah, Salty, Jared, and Ellen but also threaten their lives. One particular conflict set in the thorny thickets of South Texas had me reading at breakneck speed as I struggled to help with the escape—scary; then comes comic relief from the intrepid Ellen who made me smile so often throughout the story. Children add a captivating, special dimension to the story.

Not to be missed is the golden thread in the tapestry of Sarah and Salty, neither of whom has ever known love. As they set in to make a practical life together, love wiggles its way in among the doubts and fears. Love not only works its magic to bring about oh so satisfying physical ecstasy, it also brings a trusting, caring, forever love that encompasses the children.

No One But You is a joy to read and so polished. It is a winner. Leigh Greenwood writes in a classy style that gives the reader an emotion-filled, vicarious journey with well-developed characters. EXCELLENT READING!

With unknown dangers on the prowl, Pepper is tempted to give in to her attraction to Eric and align her pack with his. But Pepper’s been pursued by many alpha males–all out to take over her pack and gain her hard-won territory–and Eric is a born leader. How does Eric earn the trust of a she-wolf who’s been betrayed so often in the past?

It helps Going Here cheap brand cialis to trap more blood and gain firmer and stronger erection for pleasurable lovemaking with your beautiful woman. One of the best sources on line viagra of buying kamagra products online also eliminates hassle and embarrassment of buying some medications. For a change, an alpha female wolf is calling the shots and the male has to dance to her tune. I liked the switch up and enjoyed meeting Pepper and her pack. Eric, the hero, I’ve met in past books but he was always on the periphery. He’s center stage this time and yet for all his yumminess and alphaness, he’s walking on eggshells around Pepper and that was fun to watch. How does a man who likes to take charge, who thinks he’s right and steamrolls over others with his ideas, (because they’re usually great, so he says), temper his natural inclination? His dilemma intrigues his alpha and pack to no end, and the resulting story is amusing.

The beginning of the book introduces Eric as a man of action, integrity and honor. All good qualities to find in a hero but they are useless when a woman won’t trust those qualities even though she values them. Pepper’s experience with male alpha wolves has been a bit warped. A reader will see through examples shared in the novel just how skewed and twisted her exposure has been. They have formed her, hardened her and fed her determination to not only not mate an alpha wolf, but to not mate at all ever again. How is Eric going to get around that hurdle? By just being himself, which is pretty awesome as I’m sure he’d agree.

The internal conflict comes from Pepper and her extreme distrust and reluctance to even consider allowing Eric to pursue her. But she’s charmed despite herself, so I enjoyed watching her get seduced. The only drawback is the repetitive nature of her resistance to not wanting to be mated to an alpha. The author made that abundantly crystal clear early on; the constant reminders wore thin after a while and made me want to yell, “I get it! I get it!”. Eventually, she stops resisting because Eric is irresistible. The external conflict comes from the kind of alpha male that she abhors and he’s as stubborn, wily and ambitious as any criminal who wants what others have. The depth of his determination stems from something that happened in Pepper’s past and it was a surprise to find out how it played into the drama and suspense of the plot.

The author took some time to explore Pepper and Eric’s jobs and responsibilities, and gave me some idea of each of their personalities, character and quirks. It fleshed them out enough for readers to feel connected and interested in what happens to them. I know it did that for me.

One thing that happens, and what romance readers enjoy, is when the main characters succumb to the physical passion that drives them. All scenes were well written, steamy and effective.

Alpha Wolf Need Not Apply is fun, steamy, interesting and a page turner of a novel. I did enjoy myself. I liked the happy ever after ending and I thought it was romantic. Pepper and Eric went through a lot to get there but the journey was worth it. I’m pretty sure fans of the series will enjoy this story and since it’s a standalone read, there’s plenty for new readers to enjoy too.

There is also references to other characters that more than likely appear in a different series and have crossed over to help give older fans a feeling of continuation, especially if they are well liked characters; and for new readers, a reason for curiosity about how the couples found their own HEAs. As it is, the secondary characters help smooth over the major transitions both Rory and Amber experience.

The positive strength of having all these sub-plots and secondary characters populate the novel is a dual-edged sword. It also has the unfortunate effect of keeping a reader slightly off-balance. If not for the extreme likeability of everyone, the constant shifting would have turned me off. Too many things going on make the story seem like a three-ring circus – I feel like I’m missing something somewhere because I can’t concentrate on all three at once and I feel disjointed because the focus is constantly fluctuating. I like a book with a smooth flow, this one doesn’t read like that. Nevertheless, it is entertaining, fast moving and its gem is the romance story.

Also, this is a perfect book for readers who do not want a dark edge or intense, stress-filled drama. The conflict is rather mild but it certainly did its job in affecting the plot. Sometimes, people’s personality conflicts and how they face life’s challenges creates the clash one needs for an interesting tale.

I Dream of Dragons is an easy recommend, especially for dragon fans, paranormal romance fans or anyone looking for a fun, light and briskly entertaining read. The chemistry between Rory and Amber is very apparent and I enjoyed meeting them and watching them navigate their path to love. I had fun.
