A twisted love story.
That’s the one phrase that just popped into my head when I started writing this review. It was a pretty short story but one I loved. The characters were different. I liked the fact that there was a past or a back story that hung over this whole story and the passion burned hot between Greg and Kinsey.
I felt the characters shined though more than the plot itself. The author did a good job of writing it but I felt that this story could do well written as a series though I couldn’t find other books in this series by this author. My reason for saying that is that the back story was heavy. I kept wondering half way through if there is a first book? Or is this the first one? It felt like I’d jumped right in the middle of the book. It wasn’t until I did a search for SOS Multi-author that I found that there are actually several books by different authors with this special division (SOS or Special Outreach Services) of the US Game & Wildlife as a running theme.
That being said I loved reading about Greg and his former lover turned agent interactions… it was breath of fresh air from the normal I hate you turned but I love you trope. ( You know, the stories where the main characters first hate each other than fall in love… Coyote Games is one of them.) There’s action, suspense hot steamy romance between the characters and a mystery that needs solving.
It’s a quick read and great for when a reader is looking for a hot love story but doesn’t have time for a lengthy novel.
