Mother Earth is in danger, but the colorful characters in these steamy stories are doing their best to save the planet. They’re passionate about the environment–and each other.

Often, however, their quest to protect nature takes them into risky (and risqué) territory. In Midnight at the 11th Hour Cowboy Bar, a journalist in a small Texas town struggles to free her hunky boyfriend, an animal rights activist, from suspicion of murdering a big game hunter.

As these “green” crusaders embrace their causes, and one another, they let us see the earth–and even realms beyond–through their lusty lens. Their sexcapades take us on a juicy jaunt from coast to coast, from the oceans to the mountains, firing up our awareness and our ardor along the way. These jellies work very fast as compared to tablets that are taken through mouth, as these are the liquefied solutions that free generic viagra once taken gets absorbed in the blood streams and sets the man on fire within 15 o 20 minutes. Move over, Al Gore!

Just 17 pages long, this is a classic whodunit told in the 1st person. Jolene McBride is the owner of the 11th Hour Cowboy Bar and knows all the local gossip so it isn’t too big a surprise that she has all the details about the murder of Brisbee Cole, who had more enemies than friends. The narrator is the heroine and the town reporter who not only wants to find the killer for a major scoop but to clear her on and off lover, Tobias Harper’s name. Alexander does a fine job of packing a lot of information and description into this short story.

If you’re looking for something fun to read while you’re waiting at the doctor’s office, or just have an extra 15 minutes to spare, this is one to add to your list.

Miranda Malone is about to embark on the greatest adventure of her life. While she’s on vacation in San Francisco, a masked man kidnaps her at gunpoint. As she tries desperately to think of a way to escape, Miranda notices a tattoo of the Earth on the man’s palm and remembers her beloved father’s deathbed prophecy: “Your future husband will hold the world in the palm of his hand.”

Her abductor turns out to be a gorgeous Napa Valley winemaker who’s running for his life. Eli Hart has uncovered a plot to destroy the vineyard where he works and suspects a French competitor of the crime. He’s being chased by two Frenchmen bent on eliminating him before he can reveal what he knows.

Miranda and Eli set off on an erotic, magical, and sometimes perilous journey that leads from coast to coast. As they strive to elude their pursuers and bring the criminals to justice, they meet a colorful cast of characters, each of whom represents a card in the Major Arcana of the tarot. Their journey is a tarot deck come to life, full of mystery, romance, and passion.

Tarotica starts out with a fast bang. Miranda is walking the streets of San Francisco, enjoying a parade traveling down Market Street. Although she has just put purple streaks in her hair, she still feels normal amongst the weird people. Then she is approached by a man dressed as a jester and is terrified when he sticks a gun in her side and kidnaps her. The situation quickly turns humorous and then almost scary, as Miranda first realizes that the gun is plastic, quickly followed by the realization that this man has a tattoo of the Earth in his palm. Her father’s deathbed prophecy was that her future husband would hold the world in the palm of his hand.

At that point, though, the story quickly turns unrealistic, as Miranda learns that her kidnapper is Eli and that he has kidnapped her in an effort to escape someone who is trying to kill him. Miranda decides to trust him and take him to his friend, simply because of his tattoo, her dad’s prophecy, and her need of an adventure. I have to say that their tumble was too quick, because there was very little detail and the scene just didn’t flow well for me. Miranda decides to continue on her planned adventure, leaving Eli behind, with a promise that they would be together soon.

Each short “chapter” is a different card from the tarot deck. With each card, Miranda or Eli meet someone new or have an odd erotic experience, usually with the new person they have met. Considering that Miranda believed Eli was her future husband, I admit to finding this a bit odd. In the end, however, Miranda and Eli meet back up, each having learned much about themselves and their lives.

Although most of this book was actually quite strange, it does have a lesson to be learned. At times, the dialogue was a bit unrealistic and the erotic sex wasn’t as erotically described as I usually find and enjoy. The story spans three months, therefore there is a lot of jumping forward in time in order to cover each new realization or adventure of Miranda or Eli.

Overall, I would imagine that this book would be much better for someone who knows more about tarot. Still, all things considered, this was a fun read. Ms. Austin was unique and imaginative in her creation of this adventure and plot, with characters and circumstances representing each of the tarot cards.

I enjoyed reading how two people, concerned with the environment found a way to save their little corner of the world together. The ending is brilliant, but a bit abrupt. I wanted to learn a bit more about the characters, but loved following along on their journey.

If you want a sexy read to inspire you to change your life, even in a little way, then One Man’s Trash is Another Man’s Treasure is the short story for you. I give this work 4 ½ cherries.

Penniless, her parents and brother dead, Sophia Whitfield struggles to save her beloved childhood home during the Civil War. Another bluecoat is staggering down the hill, but before Sophia allows him to rob and pilfer like the others, she shoots him. How is she to know it is Gavin, the dark knight of her youth, carrying secrets too horrific to imagine and a passion that ignites her deepest desires?

As Sophia gradually learns Gavin’s secrets-and enjoys his talents in the bedroom-she discovers how to finally know her own heart. Can she save the Land of Falling Stars, or will she lose it all to the horrors of the War and Reconstruction? And will the Southern lady and the Yankee soldier be able to recapture the bliss of their youth – this time in each other’s arms?

Shootings, rapes, burnings and blood all combine to make Land of Falling Stars not your mother’s Gone With the Wind. The story is set in Civil War times, has Rebels and Yankees and plantations burning down but that is about all that it has in common with my rose-colored glasses view of the time period.

I loved the character of Gavin Langdale. He went to war and fought for what he believed in, even though it was against what his friends were fighting for at the time. I loved that he was honest, loyal and a true hero. He was a hero for Sophia from the time he saved her from downing when she was a child. He was a friend to Jesse, held him on the battlefield and even delivered a letter to Sophia for him. Gavin was honest to a fault and did not sugar coat his words to save Sophia’s sensibilities. I was amazed at the depth of his love for Sophia and that it held true even after the hard times she gave him.

Sophia was a strong young woman who I felt had some serious growing up to do. It is generico levitra on line unica-web.com said to be quite ordinary these days. In any case, this endeavour fizzled, and a few analysts even recommended that genital arousal in ladies does not so much create sexual longing in ladies as it regularly does cialis cost 20mg in men. There are various plants and herbs that are really very helpful for curing the disorder. canadian viagra store In addition, applying a moisturizing penis creme can help to keep the package in top-notch tadalafil best buy condition. Yes, she struggled in the harsh times and survived on her estate by herself but her emotional self needed to grow up. Sophia saw the world kind of like Scarlett O’Hara. She believed her love would come back from the war and make everything right again. I enjoyed watching Sophia struggle with her feelings for Gavin but did not like that she kept playing games with him all the way up to the end of the story. The Sophia that finally emerges at the end was a far cry from the frightened little girl that I first saw at Arbor Rose.

There are quite a few minor characters, some that were a delight to read about and others that sent chills down my spine. Mule Cooper and Billy were very mean, evil men and I loved to have their characters as the definitive bad guys. Also, Vandlo and his tribe helped break the stereotype of Gypsies. I enjoyed reading about their life and loved the assistance they gave to Gavin and Sophia. One of my favorite characters was Mischief. As you read the book, I’m sure you’ll agree with me.

I thoroughly enjoyed Land of the Falling Stars and hope to read more of the people of Arbor Rose and Fredericksburg.
