Luca clearly enjoys getting to know the other shifters he now has the pleasure of working with, but working closely with one of the only humans who are part of the new founded group is proving to be even more delightful.

Luca is a character I was already familiar with having just read the 3rd installment of this serious so I knew to expect his quick wit, but overall good guy vibe. He is one of the few shifters in the serious I just could not imagine pulling off dark and menacing very well. He loves his job, loves his partner and is clearly growing to love those around him. He one of those guys you just know is the life of the party and attracts women no matter the situation. Jade is no exception to this, but this time around Luca can actually see himself spending more than a few nights with her.

Jade is clearly a very passionate woman from the very beginning. She protects her partner even when she herself is the one who needs protecting. She fights for others who are wronged as if they were her on injustices, which is a quality you just have to love in any character. I can easily see her being the glue to any group she is in because her passion is very contagious. Its why everyone around her almost immediately accepts her when the other humans are a little standoffish. It’s also why Luca wants to find out if that passion is still there in the bedroom.

This story was once again what I came to expect from this author. I feel like I am always saying that, because she never disappoints. The storyline is one that captures me as the reader from the first chapter and does not let go. Not only the romantic interest but the other plots. Jades need to protect her partner and other shifters from being mistreated, the growing threat to the coalition and those associated with it and much more. While this story can certainly be read as a standalone, if you have read the previous stories the author always makes sure to include some of the previous characters you came to love. I would recommend every story in The Shifter Chronicles series, including this story of course.

He is just an all-around good guy and considering his rough childhood, I could understand why. He clearly never wants to see people mistreated the way he was and it makes him a very enduring character.

Abilene is a strong woman who does not take loyalty lightly. She and Zak actually share many of the same characteristics so it is easy to see why they are immediately drawn to one another. Though she is not very impressed by Zak in the beginning, her kitty seems to like him and she knows there is just something about him that will keep her coming back .

One thing I have always loved about the author’s stories is that the series always incorporates characters from previous stories. This allows you to not only meet new characters but to catch up on old favorites. It also allows the overlying story line to continuously grow and develop. This story is no exception. However, the story is also not dependent on the others so if this is your first you will not feel lost, but you might have a desire to go back and read others to learn more about the characters.

As with other Crissy Smith stories, I would highly recommend this to pretty much anyone and look forward to reading many more.

Hazel is one amazing woman, even though she has had some events in her life that has left her a bit jaded. I think on a personal level I related to her; she built a hard exterior to keep others out. That helped me connect with her as well as root for her from the very beginning. I knew she could find happiness if only she came to terms with her past and I was glad to watch the development.

Dylan is just too suave for his own good. I mean, how many girls and guys can he seduce really? I can tell why people seem to love him he just has a way about him. He makes you want to accept, respect, and submit to him. Yet, he does not take it for granted which really is a gift in itself.

Ward on the other hand is a guy I could never really figure out if I liked or hated, which is exactly how Hazel felt most times, and exactly what the author was going for. Even in the end I learned to appreciate him a bit more, but I still felt like someone needed to keep an eye on that one just in case. I also understand how he added a certain level of excitement and unpredictability to the story that really brought it to a different level.

Overall, I have to say I enjoyed reading this story. The relationship development was shaky at times but still continuously progressed. I have to say however that this is not one of those stories that left me thinking “and they lived happily ever after”. I felt like in the end some things went unresolved and could have used some wrapping up, but this may just be the authors way of getting me to look forward to the next story.

With both being almost extreme cases it is easy to see why so many believe opposites attract, and with these two it creates quite an explosion.

Initially picked this story because I was looking for a M/M BDSM story. Something that would really wow me if possible. I can say that this author certainly did that, which is no easy feat. I was extremely impressed on the author’s clear knowledge of BDSM as well as her relationship development. It was not rushed as I find with some other stories. She seem to take her time and really build up the bond required between the two characters. This made it very believable in my eyes. I even enjoyed how frenzied Andy seems at times to submit to Ethan yet he keeps a cool head. I can say that if anyone is looking for a high quality BDSM story this one is a must read.

It make them more realistic and believable.

Mark is a character I did not learn too much about throughout the process. He clearly was a caring man who just wanted to find his place. I like that he is attracted to Caroline and respects his friend to allow him to set the pace and is just thankful for any involvement he is allowed. He is definitely someone I would have liked to have gotten to know a bit more.

The BDSM element in the story is something I appreciated. For the most part it was fairly accurate. It is a topic I am very familiar with and I only noticed one or two inconsistencies. For example, the author used the world flog in one scene when it was really a spanking not a flogging. Additionally, I think how the roles in the relationship were determined I would have like to have seen more of. For example it is clear by the end of the story Mark is more of a switch than a Dominant. It would have been interesting to see how he came to this conclusion. These are really minor things, and overall the average reader would probably no pick up on them. Compared too many other stories on BDSM this one is accurate as to the emotional development/discovery which I appreciate. It shows how important the decision is and that it is as much an emotional growth as it is a kink one.

I would certainly recommend this story to others, and I actually plan on doing so. Plus it has some interesting plot twists that really leave you wanting more in the end.

This latest job however leaves her spinning in more ways than one, and she needs to keep it together if she wants to protect herself and the ones she love.

Joe comes off as your typical cocky vampire, yet there is more than what meets the eye with him. He seems to really have soft spot for Bridget which I like. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of a protective vampire instinct in him however. He clearly cares for those around him, and as the leader in the vampire community for that area I just felt he should have been more furious. He certainly seemed to have the ability to take control of Bridget in the bedroom, and care for her once they were done which left me smiling.

All-in-all I enjoyed the story. The plotline keep the story going. I did not even realize it was as long as it was, since it read so easily. I would definitely recommend it to someone, especially if the witch and vampire relationship intrigues you the way it did me. Not often you see these two unlikely creatures to get involved with each other which I appreciated. Add to it the antagonistic conflict and you got yourself a winner. I look forward to reaching a future installment of the Flush and Fevered Series.

Matt is everything you want in a man. He is kind, caring, strong, and a protector of those he loves. He is absolutely adorable both inside and outside. He too has a code of honor just like Cara that is unwaivering. Even when a bit misguided he is doing what he thinks is honorable. He even puts himself out just to try to take care of Cara because he does not want any harm to come to her. This is a couple you will root for from beginning to end.

Cara’s history is not a perfect one, but that along with the case Matt is working play a vital role in the plot of the story. She keeps herself guarded from people, and instead throws herself into rescuing animals. Matt is always looking to find justice for those who have been wronged, no matter the consequences. These facts really help to push these two together in a remarkable way. Now they both just need to open up to one another and realize what they need most in the world is right under each other’s nose.

The romantic development was definitely more important that the physical connection in this story. I appreciated that you could feel the chemistry leaping off the pages without it being overly erotic. It was the simple things that made me realize how much they grew to care for one another. I have always felt that it is the little things that matter in a relationship and these two just prove my theory. I would certainly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance novel. I for one plan on starting the second installment to this series right now.

They are only missing the submissive female of their dreams, and I so wish I was in Brooke’s shoes to be that girl to help complete their ménage.

Brooke is someone who you immediately want to protect and would be willing to fight besides. It is clear to me that she has had a rough past, but it did not break her the way it would many people. She still has inner strength and fight left in her. Enough that she ran to try to change things, shame she doesn’t think she can trust anyone, as the people around her truly want to help. They did not blame her for that and either could I. I just wanted her to realize that what she needed was right in front of her, as long as she had the courage to take it.

Gilly by far is the standout character in this story. She definitely brings a bright and at times dark aspect to the story. As it is told from her point of view, you get a lot of her quirky personality which I really appreciated. Even when her and her boys are facing possible death she still manages to keep her quick wit and smart mouth. She definitely keeps the story rolling and moving forward with plenty of entertainment.

Dusty and Warren’s characters felt a little flat at times on the other hand. They both had their own personalities. Dusty being the loveable and naive guy you just can’t help but to love. Warren very militant and logical and holding things together usually. I just would have liked to have seen a bit more about these characters as they made each character so different. They were a modern day odd couple, and seeing more of that would have made the ménage relationship felt more genuine and long lasting for me.

Dracula proves to Dusty and Warren that not only are vampires real, but they have more control over mortals and even werewolves than you can imagine. It is kind of scary how easily Dracula is able to take control over Dusty and Warren. Really makes me wonder if it is possible. This antagonistic conflict is a large part of the story, as Dracula easily makes them bend to his will and proves he can use them as puppets in any way he sees fit. I liked this element to the story, but other elements in the story felt a bit to clichéd to me and made it felt a bit disingenuous.

This story features sex, sex and more sex. There is no shortage of erotica here, and I loved it. I did label it forced as Dracula does force the parties to do sexual acts when they are under his spell, but it is done in a way that is tasteful for the genre and definitely not too much for this girl. Though I did cringe at a few of the acts wondering if it was painful, the characters seemed to enjoy themselves so how could I not enjoy it with them? I like my erotica with plenty of kink and eroticism so this was perfect for me.

I would say if you want a light, fun yet kinky story this will definitely fit the bill. It was definitely an easy read, and may even make you wish you can be mentally stimulated by a vampire or two yourself.

He has made many mistakes in both is relationship with Kelly as well as his relationship with is daughter Noelle. Good thing he is man enough to recognize these mistakes and try to make them right before it is too late. It made me like is character that much more, as I get to see his flaws as well as his strengths. No man is perfect and it make Hank a bit more real and relatable.

Kelly is a sweet and determined woman who history has not been kind too. She has suffered a lot throughout her life when it comes to relationships. With Hank as well as her family it makes her less than excited to return to the home that almost broke her spirit. Lucky she did return cause she got to have a whole different experience. I think Kelly is a amazing character as she is selfless and continues to do what needs to be done despite her own needs and wants in life. It made me want to see her get a happily ever after whether it be in the city with her high paying job, or on her grandfathers ranch enjoying the hard work and fresh air.

Noelle is a very important part of this story as well. Her character also shows a lot of growth throughout the story. She begins as a spoiled privileged child who prefers her phone to people. Only, you quickly learn this is a defense she has created since the adults in her life have not always looked out for all her needs. Yes she might have the most high tech gadgets and designer clothes but she is missing one essential thing: loving parents. I really thought her character needed special mentioning as many things in the story would not be possible without her, and she really added depth and joy to the story.

This story is not steamy and erotic but has a soft, growing love that you know is meant to be and will last forever. It made me cherish the relationship more and made the plot more warm and fuzzy. Anyone can revisit a physical connection but the emotional and mental bridges crossed in this story will last forever. I would certainly say if you want a nice, warm and touching romance you would want to check out this story and learn all about Circle P and its host of wonderful characters.
