This book is full of humor, romance and suspense. I read it in two session​s​ – would have been one but I needed to sleep. A book well worth reading.

Bette is looking down from the afterlife while Dana is the drive behind the new museum gifted by Bette to her home town in Massachusetts. The celebrity to open this museum is Patrice Clarke, a ​star who is pumped up by her own ​self importan​ce​.

The fun comes from Bette being given the part by the Producer in the afterlife and it affects ​history ​more than just the film. Everything changes to the point where even Bette decides enough is enough.

Well written and I have to compliment the author on the research into the stars and history of film. It must have taken her months to get all the information together. Well done!

This doesn’t mean the book is a catalogue of what happened in the past against what happens now, the story flows perfectly and the finale is not a bald statement of fact, more a gentle ​finish to a well written book.

All the characters are larger than life and intertwine with each other to great effect. Just when it seems things have worked out well for everyone, another event happened to stir the plot up again. Good book but not if you want something deep and meaningful; this one is for laughing and enjoying.

On the whole this was a nice tale of love and belief which could be a really good inspirational book had it been just a little less heavy handed.

The storyline is good and their evolving love for each other is well handled as is the developing attachment of their two best friends. The characters are well rounded and Jingles the cat adds a bit of humor to the story.

I enjoyed reading this book, and have to admit I guessed wrong about the final outcome several times. I believe keeping the reader guessing makes this an excellent read. Illera is a heroine who caught my interest until I had to find out what happened to her. Great book.

Their relationship develops well and the minor characters in the book lend credence and depth to the story. Also interesting is the humor that Lily brings to the situation. The differences in their upbringing cause many upsets but also a lot of laughs.

I would mention that toward the end of the story a few editorial comments have been left in presumably by mistake. These caused a hiccup in concentration and if they are removed the book would be a wonderful read. I hope the author considers writing more about the minor characters in future books as it would definitely pique my interest.

Shayla gets involved in various disastrous events and her gay friend Brice involves her in his on again – off again relationship and after the dust has cleared everyone is able to see the funny side of things.

There’s the usual ex girlfriend, ex boyfriend relationship interference which add a bit of spice to the story. There’s also an air of mystery in a will they – won’t they get together and this is not resolved until the end. Even then a disastrous decision by Shayla could make it go either way.

As I got involved with the characters and the story I couldn’t help thinking it reminded me of Janet Evanovich’s style of writing. Amusing story with a light hearted approach and an underlying serious thread.
