A Ghoul Like You is a witty, entertaining short story. It’s a fast read and definitely leaves you wanting more. The author’s trademark humor is sprinkled throughout this enjoyable story. From the small details to the large, this short story is littered with great lines and sly nods. The characters and their dialogue are particular highlights and create a very engrossing story that you never want to end. The sex scene between Niall and Jamie is very sexy and surprisingly hot – considering one of the men is undead and eats flesh.

For a few dollars this unconventional story is completely worth reading. It hits many high notes and the writing is high quality. You may find yourself rooting for ghouls as the newest heroes.

In fact, when they were having their lighter moments during the story, I felt gushy and had a smile on my face.

When the action was blazing, I was on the edge of my seat. Sometimes I felt a little disoriented, just like Jessie did. Ms. De Sues occasionally used sharp cuts during the action to demonstrate how dire the situation was, and how fast it was moving. Her style made me feel felt like Jessie did, being dragged into a danger and having her guts yanked like she was on a roller coaster. It was quite effective.

This book is a non-stop thrill ride that will jerk and compel you just like Jake did to Jessie. But just as much as it is an adventure, it’s also a hot love story. If you’re looking for an action-packed romance, I recommend Triage.

The very first time a reader meets Alice it’s like a skit from “When Good Toasters Go Bad”. You know, like in Toy Story where the toys come to life except here it’s appliances. Unlike that Disney movie, the blender and stove are not sentient; they’re just very cool tools being used to scare the panties off of the heroine. It is serious stuff for her but for me the reader, I found it darkly hilarious.

Alice is a hard person to fathom because I both liked her and was irritated by her sometimes in the same scene. I guess she can’t help it. Her personality has a quirk that rears up every time she’s scared which pushes people away at the time she actually needs them the most. She’s contrary and a challenge to anyone who ends up falling in love with her. She also thinks “family’ should be a four letter word and a reader finds out why during the course of the book. As for the external conflict and villain, well one is a wuss and the other a complete shock. I liked that I was surprised. Also Lael, Ace’s brother has some nice scenes which show his growth as a character. I expect someday to read about a story with him all grown up and finding his own HEA. As it is, the happily ever after between Ace and Alice is well written, delightfully romantic and hard won.

If a reader is looking for an entertaining romance with excitement and humor, grab a seat and curl up with Banging the Superhero because it delivers the goods. The characters are likeable once you get to know them and the couch practically combusts from their passion. I had a fun time and look forward to the next adventure from Ms. Royce.

Her background and heritage aid her in discovering who they are and what they need. Trent on the other hand isn’t so ready to befriend the ghosts. I loved watching Trent’s transformation from denial to acceptance of not only the ghosts but his feelings for Simone.

Be prepared for some lovely make-you-squirm and lose-your-breath heat. Ms. De Sues has the sexy stuff down to an art. The plot is thick and smoothly builds to a crescendo that had me turning pages, anticipating the final scenes. Pick up a copy of The Seduction of Simone. You won’t be disappointed!

Her confusion continues to grow, and the unfortunate recipient of her attentions gets hurt in the process. When she discovers that Rob wants her more than she wants him, she breaks it off, and it is the only ugly scene in the book.

Wade is the most delicious vampire, but so very conflicted. I really enjoyed watching him try to find a way to have Jui and not turn her. He is so strong, and his determination to keep away from her is admirable. I love the temptation theme throughout this story, and how both of the characters deal with it. There are several very surprising twists in this one, and one was something I did not see coming, but when it did, I loved it. The trials that these two endured for their love made the happy ever after all the sweeter. This is a marvelous love story, with some unique twists to a wonderful story.

Doc Lewis had been in love with Rocky Rodriguez for more years than he could remember but he always knew that his wish to be with the man would never come true. But when circumstances throw them together in the Seelie Court, something changes and the two men give into the desire between them. Their encounter ends with Rocky making a comment that drives Doc from him with a broken heart.

Doc decides he needs to put plenty of space between him and Rocky and going on a mission back to the human world seems like just the thing. Only, the mission doesn’t turn out quite like Doc expected when he meets, Monte, the Seelie Elf he’s been sent to rescue.

Monte is unlike any man he’s ever met and Doc falls quickly for the little elf, bonding with him. But they’re being held by government scientists in a secret research facility. Escape is their only possible way to be together, especially after the lead scientist grows concerned over how close they’ve grown to each other and threatens to separate them.

Between fighting for their lives, the misgivings that fill them all when Rocky arrives to rescue them, and the lack of prenatal vitamins, can these three men find each other? Or will they lose everything because of their doubts?

Due to a misunderstanding, Doc fled Rocky’s arms and ran into another man’s – Monte. Except Rocky wasn’t going to give up on his only chance of true love that easily, even if it meant making a little more room for Doc’s new beau.

The characters’ compassion for not only one another, but others around them, really spoke volumes in this story. While all of them loved one another, they were willing to give up their happiness for each other. This was clearly displayed when Rocky and Monte both told Doc to be with the other. Finding friends in the least likely of places was a big part of this tale. This had humans, seelie, unseelie and fairies working together in a common goal — freedom. The author was capable of capturing the theme of forgiveness and understanding while staying true to the heat necessary in an erotica novel.

The internal conflicts of the characters, along with the kidnappings, really worked to make the story exciting, even though the plot was incomplete. Because this is part of a series the plotline has been left unfinished so that it may be carried over to the next story. I did not read the previous one – Dark Side of the Veil – but I was able to keep up with this plot easily. So I believe those who have read the previous story as well as those new to the series can equally enjoy this romance.

From the moment the book started you knew the relationships would work. The attraction and bond was clear, even during Monte and Doc’s first encounter. Plus the sex was spectacular. I would like to have seen a little more action between all three men together but that is just me being greedy. While it can sometimes be difficult to write about a ménage – particularly when it includes three men – the author did not seem to have any problem.

I would recommend this story to anyone looking for an exciting ménage featuring some spectacular characters.

This is a story of reunion and determination. I love the characters that Ms. Church has created. These are very real people, with problems to overcome. I liked Noah for his honesty and his willingness to move on if Reagan decided against him.

This was a hot and steamy story at the beginning, but became a tender love story and a story of growth and love and new beginnings as it continued. I enjoyed watching it unfold, and I recommend this to all the real romantics out there.
