Yet one thing holds him back, the mad crush he’s developed for his mentor and boss, Nick Denison, his father’s best friend.
What do you say to the man who has been like a father figure to you when you’re crushing on him? Do you tell him you’re interested in more than a friendship? Do you tell him he’s hot? Quite the conundrum, isn’t it? Then you’re living Tetsuji’s life in Barbara Sheridan’s Love Revisited: Nick and Tetsuji.
When I read the blurb for this story, I was intrigued. I like the MM genre, but wanted to see what Ms. Sheridan would do with the age gap between the characters. I needn’t have worried. Honestly, outside of Tetsuji mentioning it, I just about forgot it. The writing is smooth and I flew through the story in no time. Heck, I read it again and again, just because I couldn’t get enough.
I liked Tetsuji. He’s driven, he’s competent, and he knows exactly who he wants. For various men, the options simply might not work. cheapest levitra Problem? How to get the “him” in question. It’s an often used idea, but Ms. Sheridan made it work well. I felt the same knots in my stomach as Tetsuji did as he tried to figure out what to do with his life and how to make what he wanted work. I also liked Nick, but I have to admit, I wanted to smack him upside the head more than once. He’s very much the lawyer —controlling, calculating….and then there’s this other side to him I wanted to see more of. The side that was a little damaged. The side that practically clawed to get a hold of Tetsuji. I wanted to see more of him like that, but hey, it can always be made into a sequel.
If you want a story that’s got a little tension, a little heat, and two interesting men, then you need to read Love Revisited: Nick and Tetsuji.
