The deep emotion, the three-dimensional characters and the well-written plot really left me wanting more from Ms. Soliman and I can’t wait to read more of her works in the future. She would make a great addition to anyone’s reading list.

The reader gets to see him go from an “in charge” kind of guy, to submissive to Dana’s needs, wants, and wishes. It’s a nice change. View point, grammar, and punctuation are handled very well. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would likely read it again.

Take one tough tiger shifter; a timid, less-than-perfect female; a handful of paranormal misfits, add a little bit of magic, and you get a scrupulously entertaining story filled with witty humor, primal attraction, and some good old fashioned romance. Sahara has dreams about animals she’s never seen before. They are magnificent looking, can run like the wind, and she envisions herself riding them. But if she tells anyone about the dreams, they will think she’s crazy.

Ms. Benson picks an intriguing premise for her story line. She places the story in the future, after all cities have been destroyed by a killing flu that crossed the land, and the only survivors behave a lot like the American Indians did long ago. There are nomadic tribes and tribes that stay in one location and grow all the vegetables for the group as well as raise animals. The two tribes share their goods and it keeps them alive and in pretty good health. The author’s words take you to an imaginary world in the future that’s dangerous and unusual and holds your attention as you follow Sahara’s challenges.

This is tale of a journey from childhood to a young adult that catches your attention with an interesting plot and plenty of challenges for Sahara. You’ll have to read the book to find out why Sahara knows about horses. You’ll also be glad you did.

Let’s just say that I am a prospector of sorts. A successful one, who has never cheated anyone who did not ask to be cheated, never conned anyone who did not delight in thinking that they were conning me.

The mist clung to my face and I felt a cold resolve settle in my chest: my decision was made – he had to die.

He’s always on the move. He settles in one place for a bit, pulls his con, and moves on. He never expected to find himself trapped in one town…

This story has the flavor of a Shirley Jackson story. Mr. Thompson’s short story is just as captivating and horrifying as Ms. Jackson’s work. She wrote “The Lottery” which was about a small town, and so i Mr. Thompson’s setting.

When the main character moved to Harlton, he used the name Peter Marlow. He’d left his past behind again, had enough money to survive for a while, and he liked the quiet little town that hid in the hills. He was sure he was safe there; he was wrong.

This is the story of a bad marriage, a bad man, abuse and rape, and the poor woman who married him. Mr. Marlow’s safe little town has teeth.

I had no idea exactly where this story was going as I read along. The author had hold of my mind and enjoyed messing with it. I thought “they couldn’t be.”; “he wouldn’t!”; “why did that do that to him?” and I was still surprised by the ending. This may be a short writing piece but it’s an excellent story. Get yourself a copy and see if you can anticipate the ending. I bet not.

The highjinks that occur in the quest to save their friend and get out of the scary dark woods alive are pretty funny. This story did a good job of both scaring me and making feel all warm and fuzzy with the love these two men had towards one another.

L.B. Gregg did a great job of bringing to life the abandon little ghost town of Dudleytown. She wrote with such explicit detail I felt as if I was actually there. This story was written in first person, so you knew exactly what Alex was thinking and feeling. I’m not a big fan of first person point of view story telling but LB Gregg did such a good job of describing things through Alex’s eyes you got a good understanding of how everyone else was feeling.

If you’re looking for a love story with humor and suspense mixed in, this story is for you.
