Cate was once a mischievous milkmaid. Now the victim of a witch’s spell, she’s simply Cat—feline by daylight, female by night. For one who knows how to make the best of a bad situation, it’s not just a curse, it’s an opportunity. Naughty adventure beckons.

Until she meets a man who makes her yearn for a permanent woman’s body again.

Peter assumes it’s coincidence that his vivid, erotic dreams began soon after he adopted an affectionate stray cat. Besides, as much as he enjoys their nightly escapades, he wants more than a sexy apparition who only comes in darkness. When Peter thinks he’s in love with another, Cat must help her beloved master win his heart’s desire. Although she’ll lose him forever, that selfless deed will undo the witch’s curse.

Will Cat’s heart pay the price for Happily Ever After? Or will Peter find that dreams can come true?

How can you not love a heroine like Cat?

Cat used to be Cate, until she insulted a witch and was turned into a four-legged animal with an attitude problem. Cat was somewhat selfish, self-centered, and sassy as can be. She was the perfect – or actually, very imperfect – heroine. I love the way she would get distracted and get herself into trouble.

While Cat is, well, a cat, she does turn into a human late at night. At first, her life is simple as she sleeps all day and indulges in all her sexual fantasies at night at the hands of Peter, her “owner” (those of you who have even owned cats know that they actually own you, right?), who conveniently thinks he’s dreaming. But when Peter starts to lust for another instead of his phantom dream woman, Cat gets a little (okay, a lot) jealous and starts getting into trouble.

And I will leave it at that as I don’t want to spoil anymore of the story, but believe me, it’s so worth reading.

The rest of the cast was interesting. The way Ms. Fox described the setting, I could actually visualize it in my head, and at times I felt like I was right there inside the book.

I read this story in one sitting. I tried to take breaks but couldn’t. This book refused to be put down. And once I was done, I was a bit sad to say goodbye to Cat. The story ended beautifully. Cat got her happily ever after and all questions were answered, all issues resolved, and I knew there will not be a Cat book two. I kinda wish Ms. Fox would have left some loose ends so that readers could demand (sorry, I meant to say “politely ask for”) a sequel.

If you’re a fan of truly hot erotic romance, a great set of characters, an amazing setting, and an entertaining plot, than you CAN’T go wrong with this story. You will not be disappointed and if you pick up this story, I bet you will fall in love with it as much as I did. Now go on, buy it!

What was supposed to be a celebration of life turns into a festival of fear…

Natalie Devonshire is nervous about attending the invitation only, annual Beltane feast. She’s heard it can be wild and naughty and though intrigued, she plans only to observe. That is, until she meets handsome William Zapata, who convinces her that trying something new can be as fun as it is daring.

William’s been coming to this festival for several years, for one reason only—to spend time with his sometime lover. When he meets Natalie outside the gates, his interest is immediate. He’s drawn to her, and as backward as this celebration makes their introductions, his intention is to keep seeing her long after the festival ends.

Not all is a bed of roses, however. Some attendees see the festival as a way to meet needs of a darker nature. Beltane not only has a history rich in fertility and life, but also has historical ties with the occult. This includes human sacrifice and all the necessary preparations are in order. When people begin to disappear and death explodes around the celebrants, panic ensues.

Trapped and confused, can Natalie and William find out who is behind the destruction of this celebration and stop the spiralling events before they become part of the sacrifice themselves? And when all is said and done, will the attraction between them be strong enough to last, or will they discover their interest was fleeting and best left burning with the fires?

Every once in a while it is fun to read a tale that takes you to a place you will never experience in real life. The Fires of Beltane is that type of story.

Natalie Devonshire, against her better judgment, has agreed to attend the festival of Beltane, but only because her dear friend has been named the May Queen. She’s heard whispers and rumors of what happens during this mysterious ritual, but she still has no idea what she will encounter once she passes the fiery gates. Just as she’s thinking of leaving, a deep, sexy voice convinces her to stay.

That voice belongs to William Zapata. This is not his first time at the festival; he’s attended several times in order to connect with his occasional lover. He takes an immediate liking to Natalie, and calms her enough to convince her to let go and have fun during the evening. They spend the evening enjoying each other, as well as several other people, before the night ends in utter disaster.

There are good and bad elements to this book. On the good side, there is a little bit of everything included, so no matter what type of erotica you like to read, you’ll find something that speaks to you in the course of the story. There are elements of male/female, female/female, male/male, menage, voyeurism and multiple partners. There are also elements of paranormal and fantasy, with scatters of some mystery and a bit of action. Chances are you will find something that you like in this short tale.

On the bad side, however, it didn’t seem as if there was enough time spent on the characters. The sex was hot, depending on which scene you liked, but the ultimate connection between William and Natalie wasn’t as developed as it could have been, even in the short number of pages. I also didn’t get much of a feel for why this ritual was different at this point in time, and what the purpose of it was. I can make some assumptions, but I’m not sure if another reader might assume other things. Perhaps this was by design, but I usually like to have all the questions answered by the end of the story.

We’re left with a feeling of happily ever after, though I’m not sure it’s believable after the events of the evening, but it does wrap things up cleanly. I’d possibly be interested in reading other titles from this author, depending on the genre, because other than only a couple editing mistakes, the writing was clean and easily understood.

If you’re looking for a quick fantasy filled with erotic sensuality of all kinds, mixed with a bit of mystery and intrigue, perhaps this is a title to check out!

In the time before recorded history, Jatara is a faithful priestess of the Mother Creator, Bellin. Like all Therian women, she is empowered to absorb the animal nature of the male who defines her. But her father has ordered her to mate with a rival clan’s leader, which will destroy her connection to Bellin. Angry and frightened, she rebels, determined to live on her own terms.

Jatara’s bravery impresses Bellin, who promises her a new destiny. She will become the Omni Prime, a specially gifted Therian who will work to free all her kind’s women from oppression. To claim her power, she must surrender herself to the mighty god Khonish. Jatara yearns for the joining with the sexy and intriguing god. Until she meets another whose touch inflames her senses…

What makes a woman stronger than a man?

Like many women, Jatara feels the call of duty and heeds her feminine drive to care and nurture others in need. This includes devoting her life to the Mother Creator, Bellin. Years ago, Bellin and her brother bestowed specific powers to the males and females of Jatara’s world. What the gods didn’t anticipate is the abuse of women that soon ensued. Men hungry for status raped and claimed who they wanted without regard to emotion or respect.

After seeing the exploitation of her “daughters”, Bellin grows angry. She must confront her brother, Khonish, and demand a change in terms from their previous truce. For this, Jatara will have to fulfill a bigger role and sacrifice more than she ever imagined. As difficult as the terms of Bellin’s and Khonish’s new arrangement are, falling in love is the absolute last thing she anticipates. But before she can follow her heart, she must submit to Khonish’s demands. And he’s asking a pretty hefty price for a shift in the tides, so to speak.

Jatara is both frightened and proud to accept the gift Khonish promises, including the level of responsibility that comes with it. She and Bellin have a one moon cycle to accomplish his demands—a very short time given the magnitude of their quest. While she doesn’t particularly care for the deeds she must commit, Jatara knows it is for the betterment of all womankind.

Poor Aylon, all he wanted was a refreshing dip in the sea. Catching a beautiful young woman trying to steal his clothes turned into a pleasant surprise—or so he first thought. Tiny and terrified, he had the overwhelming urge to wrap her in his arms and protect her from all things bad. That is, until she suddenly attacked him, leaving his stunned and bleeding. Despite the turn of events, this girl heated his blood in more ways than one. He could only hope to see her once again and claim her as his heart and body so desired. But he didn’t intend to leave fate to the gods. Aylon had a few tricks up his sleeve to make this mystery girl his.

Therian Priestess proved to be a wonderfully entertaining story. I loved the author’s plot line and can see this leading to more books to come. I’m a little old school when it comes to love and romance but things that would normally be a “no-no” for me worked well in this book, and served their purpose. Clean editing, excellent grammar, and consistent point-of-view made this a thoroughly enjoyable tale. I hope to see more about the Therian world in Ms. Friberg’s upcoming releases.

Bold gods who take what they want, a pure-hearted woman willing to sacrifice all for her fellow “sisters”, and a fierce warrior determined to claim his mate make for a fantastic story of power, lust, fortitude and loyalty. Therian Priestess is a story well-worth your time.

Matched to exploration facilitator Ink, Estelle explores her submissive fantasies to the full. When online sex turns into a real life ménage, will a case of mistaken identity ruin her chances with Nathan?

Or will the shifter claim his mate?

I hadn’t even finished reading this story and I was already excited about reading it again! The plot twists and mysterious, dominant men make the pages sing. This explosive short had me on the edge of my seat with everything that was going on. I was amazed at how the author was able to get so much into a short story. I feared I had suffered whiplash from all of it, but would happily wear a neck brace just to read more.

The paranormal element within this story was the only aspect that was less than spectacular. I think the BDSM element coupled with the awesome plot and characters didn’t really need the paranormal element. It didn’t seem to play a big role in an otherwise explosive story. Had the author left it out I would have still been equally happy.

The characterization throughout the story was just as enchanting as the plotlines. Ink has a harsh edge to him that really excites me when reading BSDM stories. While Nathan seems to be a bit softer, and caring. I was curious to see how things would work out. Then you add in Grisha, another Dom who just screams cruel sweet torment. While Estelle was the main female character, I really think the men are what entertained me the most. Part of that may have been that I secretly wished it was me in Estelle’s shoes.

I will not only be re-reading this story, but actively looking for any other stories in the Ink Series. I would highly recommend picking up this story, that is, if you think you can handle the heat.

When demons invade Detroit, four modern day pagan warriors go to work, but they need a little extra help from their favorite sexy witch. Phoebe has been their magical contact for years, but none of the men have dared break ranks to make a move. A protection spell won’t cut it this time. The group needs sex magic to boost their skills and bond them on a new level. Sharing a hot witch is one thing, but two of the men have issues that make baring their feelings harder than their bodies. Phoebe is determined to have them all and bring love to the warriors’ world.

Why double your pleasure when you can quadruple it by having four sexy warriors in the bed? Phoebe has been pining over Andy, Jude, DC and Reed. So when she is presented with the opportunity to act on those feeling she hops on to the closest hard surface and makes herself more than accessible to the men.

When I began this story I worried that I would get the characters confused, especially the four men, but that was not the case. Each seemed to have their own distinct personality that made it simple for me to distinguish each of them from the others. For example, Jude seems to have a subtle command about him that makes others follow him without even realizing it. DC is the heart of the group, his caring personality makes the others want to be around him. Andy has a spice for life, which had me smiling from ear to ear at times. Reed is the most lost of all of the characters, even so he’s determined to protect those he care about no matter the cost. Together this groups is unstable and truly entertaining.

The subplot with the demons, in my opinion, could have used some spicing up. Even though it’s the basis for everyone coming together, I felt it could have had a more dominant place in the story. For example, I would like to have seen a bit more action in the battles. I think that it would have added some adrenaline that would have helped build the tension.

The romantic plot in this story was exciting. You had couples, potential couples and a group all intertwined between these five people. At times I questioned, along with the characters, how they would make it work, but in the end everyone seemed to be getting what they wanted and what they needed, which is what all relationships are truly about.

The romantic involvement and wonderful characters made this an easy read and I would love to see more of these characters.

The game has always cast a shadow over Oriana Delgado’s life. She should hate the game. But she doesn’t. The passion and the energy of the sport is part of her. But so is the urge to drop the role of the Dartmouth Cobra owner’s ‘good daughter’ and find a less…conventional one.

Playmaker, Max Perron, never expected a woman to accept him and his twisted desires. Oriana came close, but he wasn’t surprised when she walked away. A girl like her needs normal. Which he can’t give her. He’s too much of a team player, and not just on the ice.

But then Oriana’s father goes too far in trying to control her and she decides to use exposure as blackmail. Just the implication of her spending the night with the Cobra’s finest should get her father to back off.

Turns out a team player is exactly what she needs.

Oriana has done everything all her life for her father’s approval–even dating the man he wants her to. That all ends when she finds out that Paul has been cheating on her–with her father’s approval. The act shows Oriana just how little she matters to her father after all. When Max and the other players find out Oriana needs help, many agree to come to her aide. Max has loved Oriana forever and waited for the right time. He brings Oriana into his world and hopes that she will not only trust him and the others but open up and allow all her desires to come true.

My goodness, there are so many alpha males on this hockey team and each one is a great man. I had a hard time choosing just as Oriana does. I loved Max, Sloan and Dominik just as much she does. Each man is wonderful in his own way and each needs and gives Oriana something different. Separately, they may make mistakes, but when they are working together they make a wonderful whole.

Watching each man give his heart to Oriana was a beautiful read. Sloan has built a wall around himself and his heart that slowly melts away with the help of the other men and Oriana. Max has loved her for so long he is afraid that his kink will frighten her away yet Oriana finds no fault in him and is more than willing to try. Dominik is the Master Dom of them all and tries to guard his heart but Oriana wiggles her way into it. Oriana finds herself falling for each man in return. As each man helps bring Oriana into the lifestyle and show her that what she needs and wants is more than just available to her.

As the four sort out all of their feelings they must also find a way to fix what’s wrong with the team. I loved watching not only the interaction of Oriana and each man but also the interaction between everyone. The camaraderie of the men was a nice thing to see. Oriana has a wonderful heart and it was nice to see her open up and grow with the help of her men. I’m glad that she and all the men find a happy ending. This book does include some extreme scenes and may be a bit much for some readers. I found this book a great introduction to the Dartmouth Cobras and this series. Bianca Sommerland pulls the reader into the world of hockey and brings these characters vividly to life. I cannot wait to see what comes next for this team.

Rosaline never thought she would find a meaningful relationship at an adult party for the denizens of the preternatural community. She came to have fun and flirt with danger while hiding behind the safety of the party’s rules. And then she met Sebastian, a demi-god who demands all her attention and satisfies her every need. Even though her head says it’s nothing but pleasure between consenting adults with no strings attached, her heart is wondering if this fickle demi-god might actually want to be with her.

Who wouldn’t want chance to party with the gods.

The story begins with the main character, Rosaline, introducing herself to the group of preternatural guests at the party given by the Guardian. The Guardian is a demi-goddess who acts as Rosaline’s protector especially at these parties which was thrown every Wednesday by the Guardian. Since this was Rosaline’s first party she was allowed to set the boundaries concerning what she would and would not allow. Rosaline tells everyone at the party that she’s their “server, voyeur, and touchstone” for the night and they may use their fingers, but no other parts of their bodies may touch hers. Her job, along with the other servers, is to circle the room and wait for one or more of the guests to require her services. If they required her to just watch them then that is what she was to do, she would not participate but she would allow them to use their fingers on her.

Rosaline is introduced to the Guardian’s cousin Sebastian, who she learns is the son of Zeus, and is given a warning by the Guardian to not become too involved with him. Needless to say, Rosaline is soon head over heels for Sebastian, and she can’t wait until the next party. In times of medical cipla cialis online emergency every little help is invaluable. When men come up with the issue or buy pill viagra when they get caught. The Guardian again warns her not to get too involved with Sebastian and again she ignores the warning. She thinks that he is the only man for her until he does the unthinkable and breaks her heart.

This story took me to another level because I had to imagine a world where a party such as this could happen. This party included vampires, gods, wolf shifters, and a dog that was given the ability to shift into a man.

The character of Sebastian came off as self centered and egotistical. Not surprising since most gods especially, the Greek ones, are typically depicted that way, and he is thh son of Zeus. However, after he broke Rosaline’s heart, I saw another side of Sebastian. I got to see what made him tick and why he did what he did to Rosaline. I also got to see the other side of Rosaline; I saw that she was much more than that soft girl I met in the beginning of the story.

This story had a little bit of everything in it, the sex scenes were spicy and the characters had me rooting for them. Overall this story was good and definitely different.

College is a difficult time for the most confident student, but for Mitch Broward, college life promises to either be the beginning of a new life, or the extension of a painful lie.

When Mitch meets his flamboyant roommate Josh, he realizes just how hard it may be to find his place in the world. He is neither comfortable with his sexuality nor is he ready to put himself through the stress of being “outed”.

He’s hired to tutor Benjamin Walker and his attraction to the handsome football player is unmistakable. Mitch knows that Ben’s teammates regularly harass Josh, tormenting him mercilessly.

Mitch finds himself in a tense friendship with Ben that turns out to be far more complicated than either of them ever dreamed. Mitch’s final dilemma–is Ben is just another bigoted gay-basher, or is there more to the football player than meets the eye?

Angst, drama and hot men are in high order in this book!

In the matter of a few days, I’ve read almost all of the books by Blake Deveraux. It’s been a great few days. I’ve been introduced to characters I can’t help but fall in love with and stories I’ll think about for days to come. Mr Deveraux has a talent for squeezing every last drop of emotion out of a scene and making the reader (me) want to know more.

Lessons in Love is probably my favorite of his books so far. Why? It’s real. How is it real? These are characters that seem like they are people I know in real life. I can identify with Mitch and Ben’s struggles and how they see life. Most of all, I felt like I was there. Mitch is a great character. He’s emotionally strong and steady in the moments where he doesn’t think he can be. I enjoyed reading Ben’s determination to figure himself out. The whole book read like a movie, I could see it happening.

Okay, so there are a couple of typos and a few odd line breaks. Trust me, those really don’t matter. I got so caught up in the book that my inner editor totally shut off. It did.

I think my favorite character was Josh. Flawed as he might have been, I liked him. Again, he’s one people can identify with. Plus he’s got that great snark going for him. His defense mechanisms are what made him memorable.

If you want a book with steamy love scenes between hot guys, a dash of action, and enough emotion for three books, then this is the story for you.

What is more dangerous than a lie?… The truth.

Doctor Joeseph Demitri has met the man of his dreams, his practice is just getting on its way and happiness seems an attainable goal. When his former lover, Andy resurfaces and works his way back into his and Charles’ life, he knows the man holds the power to destroy the life he’s building.

Even as the two men discuss marriage, Charles is getting closer and closer to the truth. One question remains, will the truth bring them together, or will it be the final blow to their love?

I wanted Joe’s story and boy did I get it!

In the space of three days, I’ve read the entire Men of Danger series by Blake Deveraux. Was it worth my time? Absolutely. I can’t think of better characters to sit with for a few hours. I got wrapped up in them, wanted to hug all of them, and thought about them long after I closed the book. Dangerous Deceptions is the third book in the series and it was worth the wait. Joe and Charles needed their story told and I’m glad Mr Deveraux listened.

Dr Joe is a complex man. Most of the time he’s cold and distant. Then there’s Charles. The younger man has the power to draw Joe out of his shell. There’s a lot of love there in Joe and way more than meets the eye. I liked seeing him come into his own. I also liked how his secrets come out. Yes, there are secrets, but the book wouldn’t be nearly as good without the angst.

Then there’s Charles. Back in Dangerous Liaisons, I wasn’t sure how I felt about him. He’s very moody and dramatic. But that’s his charm. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He cares deeply, even when he’s not sure what he’s caring about or how he’s supposed to deal with it. Seeing him in action made it easier to identify with him. Without giving spoilers, there’s a moment with Charles that made me cry a good cry.

As with the other books, there’s a bit of telling over the showing, but Mr Deveraux gets better with each book. This is probably my favorite of his tales. The sex is hot and there are secondary characters I’d love to get to know more. Andy should have a story if he doesn’t already. That guy needs his HEA. Plus, I’d love to see Quinton and Ben again for old time’s sake.

If you want a book, or rather a set of books, with characters you won’t forget, then this is the one for you. I recommend all three Men of Honor books.

Why would a happy couple risk everything when they have just begun to find happiness?

Daniel Deveraux and Brandon Matthews have just bought a new home. They have spent months working on their relationship. Things are finally going their way.

After losing a close friend, Brandon befriends a handsome young mover, Charles. Daniel and Brandon take the handsome man into their home to help protect him from his abusive father.

Charles, confused about his life and his sexuality finds himself wildly attracted to the two men. Unwilling to risk his friendship with Brandon, instead he finds himself in an endless cycle of failed relationships.

Will Daniel and Brandon allow the handsome man that has already found his way into their hearts, into their bed?

The angst is back and ready for round two!

I had waited quite a while before I picked up my first book by Blake Deveraux. I’ve since remedied that fact. This is the second book in his Men of Honor series. I got to visit with Daniel and Brandon all over again, plus meet a few new characters along the way. There’s angst in this book, but it’s well founded. Mr. Deveraux has characters who have been through the wringer and desperately need what we all need…love. I enjoyed how Mr. Deveraux snared me right into the story from the first page. I even tried to put the book down once or twice – the family does need to eat – and as soon as I could, I ran back. I had to know what would happen next.

There are parts where the story gets a bit telly versus showing and a couple of times when I wasn’t sure who was talking. But all in all, it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book.

There are wonderful surprises in this book. I got see more of Daniel and Brandon’s past and seeing the issues made a lot more sense. Although some of the issues between them are more fleshed out, I can say that the sex is still smoking hot. The emotions run high. Mr. Deveraux writes scenes to scorch the pages, but in this book there aren’t as hardcore of scenes. This is a good thing in that there aren’t as many surprises for the casual reader. But, that also means that there is more tenderness in the love scenes. Either way, it’s a great read.

I enjoyed the views of the secondary characters as well. Joe and Charles will have a great story to tell and since they are next, I can’t wait. I liked the chemistry between them.

If you want a book that sizzles, then this might just be the novel for you. Enjoy!
