Need a date? Or a temporary boyfriend? How about a husband in a hurry? The professionals at SASS—Singles Arrangement Service Specialists—are here to help.

Nikki Baranski would rather be running her own vintage clothing boutique instead of working in her grandmother’s thrift store, she’d also rather be more confident than hesitant, and she’d rather put her ex-boyfriend in the past. Unfortunately, she has to hear him on the radio every day. And when her self-absorbed, narcissistic ex invites her to a swanky party after years of not seeing each other, she knows what she has to do: prove he didn’t crush her self-esteem and she did fine without him. Unfortunately, she needs a fiancé and a lot of fantasy to make it work.

When he puts himself in SASS’s catalog hoping to make money, he has no idea the girl who hires him as her husband-to-be might also be the answer he’s looking for. After all, he’s not aiming to be Mr. Right, just what she needs right now.

Despite their business arrangement, Nikki and Gabe discover humans are more complex than a contract—money and playacting aren’t enough to dampen real attraction, chemistry, and emotion.

Sometimes, the things you want in life just seem too far out of reach. That’s the case for Nikki. She wants to run her own vintage shop and she wants a boyfriend. Neither of those things seems possible until she hears about the SASS. Then she gets more than she bargained for.

This is a sweet but steamy contemporary romance, with characters to make you smile. Gabe and Nikki both have their own quirks, concerns, and foibles, but together, they support and help each other. Seeing Nikki regain her self-esteem was a delight to read, as well as Gabe’s reactions to when she was being ‘naughty’. Both of them have serious issues to contend with though and it is done in such a way to make them ‘nice’ people without giving the reader tooth decay.

There was also one scene where it looked like communication had faltered but Nikki decided not to be a pushover and to find out what had happened. For me, this was the turning point of the book as it could have gone oh so very differently without them talking to each other. I like a bit of angst but not when it’s completely unnecessary.

This is the third book in the series and yet I would definitely say you can read it as a standalone, as I have. Following on from this one, I would love to read the others. Absolutely recommended by me.

Aubrey was too young, too innocent, for that kind of burden. Now he’s recovered, but then Henri tells him she’s been arrested. Liam’s probably the last person she wants to see, but in the end he’s the only one who can help her.

Unfortunately, the Joy brothers aren’t finished with Aubrey…

This is billed as the third book in The Coldwater Pack series, but I was able to read it as a standalone without losing any of the story. Saying that, I do think it would be a good idea to read them in order as I have wondered if Liam’s illness was mentioned in any of the other books.

Brey just wanted to be with Liam yet he walked away. Brey leaves too, choosing to go to a university far away from the Pack. However, her hormones kick in and things need to change. This is definitely a case of the male choosing for both of them, not even considering that his mate may actually want a say in her own life. There is danger in here for Brey and Liam wants to protect her. He will need to ingratiate himself though, as Brey has been badly burnt by him before, and isn’t keen to repeat the experience.

This was an easy read, with plenty of steamy moments. Brey isn’t a walkover though, and Liam has to work to regain her affections. I enjoyed the writing style and found it flowed smoothly. I’m always a sucker for an epilogue and thought this one was brilliant.

For a steamy paranormal romance with a hint of suspense, then I can heartily recommend this one.

A sex tutor.

The devastatingly hot jock Austin Jacobs is just the man for the job. As the reigning campus sex god, he has the playboy act down pat. But underneath those six-pack abs beats a broken heart. He doesn’t trust people and he sure as hell doesn’t believe in love.

The odd couple strike a deal. Four weeks of ‘tutoring’ for five thousand dollars.

When Austin coaxes Elizabeth out from behind her computer screen, the attraction they feel is undeniable. They’re both a little broken, but somehow their jagged edges fit. And when their world comes tumbling down on top of them, they each have to decide if this weird thing called love is worth fighting for.

This trope is one that has seen a fair few stories – a shy, nerdy girl with an outgoing, athletic boy. Add into this the opposite wealth status and I thought it would be a fairly standard, run-of-the-mill story. I was so wrong!!! Elizabeth is a character that will charm you with her social ineptness. Austin will make you smile as you see past his defences and understand why he acts that way. And you will cheer for Elizabeth when she is strong enough to go for what she wants, rather than what she should accept.

I found this to be extremely well-written and was taken into the story from the very beginning. There are characters here to love, and those to dislike. One thing I loved about this story is what you see isn’t always what you get. Jessie is a brilliant character who added to the story, instead of being a one-dimensional Barbie!

I do love a good epilogue, and this one punches well above its weight! Superb, to put it simply. The story brought tears to my eyes, the epilogue set them free. A brilliant book, first in the series, and highly recommended by me. Can’t wait for the next!

In Claire’s world, Omegas are good and Alphas are bad. It’s that simple, and nothing she has seen has changed her mind. She is in for a bit of a shock though!

This is an intricate tale of love and betrayal, with a whodunit thrown in for good measure. The mystery side is there but it does take a back seat to the relationship between these four. You find out their backstories as the story progresses, in a relevant way to the story and not just an info-dump.

The characters all work, both separately and as a group. They all have baggage and reasons to be the way they are, and you can’t help but feel for them. This is billed as the first book in a series and I would definitely like to continue, just to see where this is going to go next.

With a smooth pace and an HFN ending, this was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.

A BDSM club is the perfect place for Jake to manage his endless need for dominance and the underground world the Talents inhabit. When Zoe needs him, Jake must lead the charge and take on the only power greater than themselves—a superhuman army modeled after the Talents—and the one woman who can threaten his entire world.

Imagine being told for your whole life to keep a secret. And not only that, but you have no desire to share said secret, and just do whatever is necessary to keep your family intact and functioning whilst keeping all your heads down. This is what life is like for Zoe, at least to begin with. All that changes when someone walks into her café and tries to rob her.

This was a great take on Talents, and each chapter gave you something else to think about and focus on. The connection between Jake and Zoe was hot, even more so when it becomes clear just what he did to Zoe when they were younger. There are hints of BDSM in here (they are based under a BDSM club, after all) but the reasons for this all become clear. About Jake – I understand why he did what he did, but I don’t like it. As for Zoe, she is doing what she thinks needs to be done. As for whether it will work or not, well, that remains to be seen.

The writing is smooth, with plenty of steam thrown in too. There are plenty of characters here to like or loathe, and some you won’t even know which way to feel.

As you may have guessed, this book ends on a cliffhanger and will definitely leave you wanting more. This was a new-to-me author and one I will absolutely be keeping an eye out for. Plus, I need to continue with this series!! Cliffhanger, remember?!

But Olly has a powerful enemy on the Llŷn, an ancient king who would like to end Olly’s story-telling permanently.

Everyone knows the question about which came first, and it’s usually about chickens and eggs. However, in this instance, which came first – the Greek Sirens or the Welsh Morgen? I’ve finished this book and I still don’t know the answer. What I do know is how incredibly well-written it is, being full of Welsh mythology, legends, lore, and magic.

There is a haunting quality to this story, from beginning to end, with a touch of mystery. The romance side is full of problems and setbacks, being the ultimate slow-burner. There are a couple of love scenes that go into some detail, but nothing too detailed.

This is a long book with plenty of detailed descriptions. An excellent cast of characters helps to build this story up to it’s perfectly paced climax. Although this is the first book in the series, I feel it is a complete standalone. I would love to continue the series just to see where it takes me next.

I have enjoyed every single scene in this book and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it.

In order to protect Seth and his new friends from Alex’s big fists, Mike may be forced to make a decision he’ll regret for the rest of his life.

If you are looking for a light, fast-paced cowboy romance, then you will be happy with this one. This is definitely a case of opposites attracting as Seth and Mike appear to be different in every way. Mike won’t have any of it when Seth knocks himself down though.

Although the pacing of this book is fast, though I’m not sure if it is just how it is written – with time disappearing in a couple of sentences. The story goes from now to next month in the blink of an eye, and then it feels like significant time has passed but then references to ‘yesterday’ will be made.

This is the start of a new series so there is the world-building of the Seven-Plus ranch and its owners, Parker and Royce, as well as the story of Seth and Mike. There is also another character, Randy, who shows up at random times and I’m not yet sure if he will play a bigger role in the stories yet to come. The issue with Mike’s past is easily and conveniently dealt with, leaving Seth and Mike free to get their HEA without any interference.

A short, light read, perfect for a coffee break.
