Left scarred and untrusting after an attack, Kara doesn’t let people close—it only leads to heartache. When a job goes wrong, she’s stuck working with the three uptight and disapproving alphas who hired her, in order to clear her name. She has no problem sleeping with them, but that’s as far as she can ever let it go.

Cullen, Reese and Damon are used to dealing with criminals in their work as private investigators, but they’ve never met anyone like the wild omega, Kara. When working for them lands her in trouble, they have no choice but to finish their case with her. They’ve always wanted to settle down with a quiet, sweet omega who would listen and stay safe, and it’s obvious Kara isn’t any of those things. Each taste they have of her shows them how happy they could be…if only they could tame her.

As Kara and the alphas delve deeper into the shadows to track the missing omega, the differences between them seem insurmountable. Even as danger surrounds them, Kara clings to her need for freedom while the alphas believe changing her is the only way to keep her safe. If they can’t learn to trust one another in time, the secrets they chase will pull them all under.

Kara is a feisty Omega who doesn’t take any prisoners. She knows what she wants and will go for it – whether that is something she is stealing or sex. Cullen, Reese, and Damon want a domestic Omega, one who won’t cause trouble and will do as she is told. Guess they got that wrong!

This is a long book with plenty of action going on, both in and out of the sheets. I enjoyed hearing about all four main characters but Damon is the one who stole into my heart. Gotta love a nerdy Alpha! In no way was he weak but he got his pleasure in making sure Kara was looked after in every way.

I think the thing that did it for me was the constant addressing of the trust issue between all four of them. I got it the first time, maybe the second emphasized the problem, but after that, it became superfluous.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait for Liam & co’s story! I would recommend reading this series but it is not necessary to get the most out of this book, as it stands alone fine. Absolutely recommended by me.

Petyr met his fated vampire mate but did the right thing when Nora told him she was pregnant. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Petyr is left holding two babies when he finds out he is ill himself. Thinking only of his children, he returns to Rollo to ask for help. Rollo is prepared to do more than help the children and makes no bones about wanting Petyr to return to him.

This was a lovely read with more emphasis on the relationship between these two rather than just a tumultuous roll in the hay. There isn’t much ‘detail’ here which seems absolutely perfect for this story. Time moves on so you don’t feel like Rollo and Petyr are rushing into things.

I thoroughly enjoyed the world-building in here and the characters were a delight. I would love to read more in this series, and I sincerely hope Jonah has his HEA.

A wonderful, gentle read that I absolutely recommend.

Even stranger, the man can see him, hear him, and touch him–a sizzling caress that leaves Elijah aching for more.

But will Elijah return to his ghostly form when the magic of the solstice fades, or is Callum’s love enough to keep him in the land of the living?

Sometimes a story doesn’t have to make perfect sense and answer all the questions for it to be enjoyable. That’s how this book is.

There are two very different main characters – one is alive, one is dead, for starters! Elijah is a ghost whilst Callum is very much alive. These two get together although neither of them was expecting it – surprise! But then Elijah opens his mouth and inserts foot.

This is a fast-paced short novel that gives you enough story to keep your interest and turning the pages. I liked the characters but I didn’t really feel any connection to them. I am very glad they got their HEA, though if I’m being honest, I would like to have had some answers too but I guess that’s me being greedy.

All in all, this was an entertaining read that I have no hesitation in recommending.

Things change for her dramatically though when she realises the man she has fallen for is a werewolf. There is something for everyone here – mystery, kidnap, fights to the death, and LOTS of sex.

The writing style is different from others, and I didn’t particularly like the long internal monologues and reviews of what “whoever” had done and when. However, they are part of the story and it needed them to be able to move forward. I just found them to ramble on and they became a detraction from the interaction between the characters themselves.

All in all, though, this was a very good story that shows that life isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, even if you think you have it all. There are some great characters in here that I would love to learn more about. So, yep, recommended by me.

Aaron Wade is young, rich, and miserable, even though millions love his songs. He knows he should be happy, especially since his bigoted jerk of a father is finally dead, but he can’t sleep. This is a story about true love. Blake has magic in his blood and he knows the minute he lays eyes on Aaron that he has found “The One”. Only trouble is, it takes Aaron a while to catch up.

Blake was a musician but has hidden away in a small town when his parents died and he raised his sister. Aaron is a musician who desperately needs a break from it all after his bigoted father dies. On the surface, these two don’t have a lot in common, often seeing the opposite side of whatever they’re discussing.

Erin M. Leaf is a brilliant author and I have simply adored most of her work. This one, though, just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. For one thing, the constant true love comments started to drive me insane, and I’m sure they did Aaron too as he had no idea what was going on either! I felt it was mentioned a few too many times, ramming the thought home instead of allowing it to flower.

On the positive side, the writing, in general, is brilliant, giving you plenty of clear descriptions so you can see what is happening in your head. The characters have their roles to play and even manage to surprise you along the way. I did love the ending and thought it perfect for this story.

A really good story with supernatural hints that I can definitely recommend.

Dakota is a dancer who wants to become an aerial dancer instead of a stripper. Reed is a bisexual Patrol Officer who shares custody of his daughter with his wife. When these two meet, the attraction is instantaneous. Strip Search is the seventh book in the Sin City Uniforms series but you don’t necessarily have to have read any of the others.

There is a lot that goes on in this book. You have Dakota’s ex-boss, new jobs, missing brothers, family life/tension, and not forgetting a custody battle. It is a fast-paced story with insta-lust/love between our two main characters. There is little to no angst between the two of them. All the angst is caused by circumstances going on around them, rather than them themselves.

I have enjoyed every book I’ve ever read by Morticia Knight but this one is not one I would read again. Part of the problem for me is that it is the next in the series after a brilliant read. Searching for Shelter was the best book in the series and then Strip Search followed it and it just didn’t hit the same buttons. Although I am a fan of epilogues this one felt like it was a way to give the reader answers without having to go into too much detail. Just accept and it’s done.

This is still a great series and I loved reading about how other characters were getting on in their lives. I enjoyed Reed and Dakota’s story but just not as much. I still have no hesitation in recommending it though!

The four work together to find Knox, but their past—the secrets, the guilt, the regrets—isn’t so easy to resolve. Can they save the child they share and heal old wounds, or will their happily ever after slip away yet again?

This book is about second chances and what to do when you get them. Farrah made her choice long ago, when she was a lot younger and didn’t have as much of an idea about what to do. She didn’t have it easy but she made it work. That’s okay until her son disappears.

This is one of the shorter books in the series but there is still a great story here. I would have preferred it to be a bit longer but that’s just my preference. I loved the relationship between the three alphas together and the three with Farrah.

I wasn’t too sure about the big bad in this one. With it being a novella, it wasn’t completely clear who he was or what he had done, just that he wasn’t ‘nice’. It would have been better if that had been fleshed out a bit more but then the word count may have gone up!

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read. It’s great being in their world, even though none of the other characters from previous books made a showing here. If you are after a quick coffee-break book then I have no hesitation in recommending this one or the series as a whole.

Tiffany is rescued from a bad situation but has to go to hospital for treatment where she meets Marshall. He is the ‘calm’ one of the bunch. And Kieran is the one who holds Tiffany’s contract. When the three of these get together to try and protect Tiffany from an unknown threat, sparks fly and everyone gets hurt!

I enjoyed this book and loved reading about the characters and their histories. I found Tiffany to be a very well-written character as she tries to figure out who she is and what she wants. She was a tad annoying at times but then, what nineteen-year-old isn’t? They all have baggage in their pasts and it takes the four of them as a unit to work through some of the problems.

Lotte pairing.

With the help of his sister, Gwen Lotte, Arthur, and two twins visiting their uncle for the summer, Mordy and Morgan Lafayette, Lance learns the true meaning of friendship, and just how far he will go to save the people he loves.

Life can throw many things at you, especially when you are young. For Lance, one of those things was something some of us never even have to consider. For Lance, it was his whole identity.

The writing in this story gives an eloquent picture of the struggle Lance had, not only to become the person he knew he was inside but to also fight the uphill, never-ending battle with people who knew him ‘before.’

Add into that someone who loves him as he is plus someone who wants to love him and you get a very confused Lance. And then there is the other side of this story. The story involving Arthur, Mordred, Morgana, Viviene, and Emrys. Some can do magic, some can’t. Some believe in their past lives, some don’t. There is a mixture of magic in this book, from Celtic Wicca (Gwen) to Santeria (Mordy and Morgan) to Bruja (Lance).

This was an interesting read with plenty of action to keep the reader turning the pages. Not only do they have the big bad to figure out but also Lance and Arthur have to figure out themselves too. The character relationships were brilliantly written as they interacted with each other.

A different book in the mix of King Arthur books out there but one I thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely recommended by me.
