In Maya’s Triple Dare our heroes and heroine seem to all understand that relationships take effort and understanding from everyone involved. Jealousy among Maya and the brothers isn’t an option, it’s poison.

Without giving too much away, two of the characters in this story deal with the grief of loss. The reader doesn’t have to go through the loss with them but the writing is so real, you can’t help but know there was true love lost. Never despair though; this is a romance story through and through. If lightning can strike twice (or more) anywhere, that place is Divine Creek.

If you follow Ms. Rainier on the social networks you can see her fresh, positive, bubbly personality come through in her writing. Her characters are easy to relate to, cheer for and live on in the ever expanding and vivid world of Divine Creek.

If this is your first trip to Divine Creek get ready for a fantastic adventure. You won’t have to have read the other books to enjoy Maya, Kendall, Boone and Richard’s story but you’ll soon realize that there are several reoccurring characters who’s stories have already been told as well as others waiting in the wings. Do yourself a favor and become a part of this unconventional community steeped in true love and happily ever afters!

And that was fine by me because in this short story I was more interested in where they are now and what was in store for their future.

Kylie is a fun character to read. She’s responsible, mature and level headed about everything…except the men. But who can blame a girl for not wanting to choose between three men that are so different and yet so focused and in tune to a single woman. Thankfully, Brad, Hemi and Finn have a plan that will leave Kylie breathless and guaranteed to singe your e-reader.

I liked that she never told Pierce that she was the Princess, wanting to be able to be herself around him. I enjoyed watching as she realized just what her favorite Dragon chef meant to her.

Pierce has gotten used to Selena and her pesky ways, and he has decided that it is time he took a stand. He is strong, handsome and determined that Selena will be his, no matter what he has to do. I liked watching as he set things in motion to make everything turn out for the best for everyone. I also liked that he was willing to admit his feelings and desires in front of everyone, even before Selena admitted anything.

Prince Elvus and his mate Ferrus are both very strong characters, but are both willing to sacrifice their love to get what they see as their rightful land. I enjoyed seeing Selena prove to them that they could have what they desired without having to give each other up or marry for anything other than love.

The political wrangling between the Queen and the Elven King was easily handled, and the eventual solution was perfect for all concerned. There is one very public claiming ceremony between Selena and Pierce, and between Elvus and Ferrus, and that scene heats up the story to a new level of hot. This is a terrific short story for a warm summer evening.

I was surprised that I didn’t see smoke come off the pages. For a debut novel it was full of mystery, action, and heat in a beautiful laid out plot, and I am eagerly waiting for the next tale by Ms. Cole.

Ms. Dwyer knows how to build suspense and anticipation! She teases just enough in the first two books to have readers impatiently waiting for the final installment. It did not disappoint.

She has always known that she would one day have to face the evil that has tried to capture her and steal her powers. As with Lexi and Antoinette, Charity wasn’t meant to do battle alone. They may be broken a bit but they refuse to be doormats. It’s easy to understand why the men are completely devoted to their care and happiness.

Charity’s character was slightly different than Lexi or Antoinette. After meeting the Venificus men I understand why she had to be different. These men are the Alpha’s Alpha and their mate had to be just as strong in spirit as they were. Charity has talents and skills that match her men but do not overshadow them. That ability to lead and be led is central to their relationship. One of my favorite scenes in the book is when Dante is pursuing Charity while giving her a tour of their house. The word that comes to mind is SENSUAL! I was every bit as breathless as Charity by the end of that scene!!

I don’t know if Ms. Dwyer plans to continue the series but there are some wonderful secondary characters that I would like to follow as well as some blessed events that give hope to the future of the were society.

If you haven’t read the prior two books in the trilogy then this is the perfect time to start at the beginning and read all three straight through. The stories are fast paced and the characters are wonderfully developed. If you like lots of exciting action as well as steamy romance check out Ms. Dwyer’s Were Trilogy today.

For a short read I found the story skillfully written with good editing for the most part, very entertaining and hot enough to get the endorphins and adrenaline running in the blood. I think it is a nice read, maybe pool side so you’d have a lot of cool water around to take care of the heat. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a cheerful and tension free read. It might not be one of those books I would read over and over again, but was worth reading once and adding the author to my lookout list for more of her books.

I was hoping to find a book that combined some of my favorite paranormal elements with some hot and sexy shifter action and I was thrilled with what I found within the pages of this short story.

Sometimes, I just want fun. Not a lot of heavy bad buys chasing good guys and escaping diabolical deeds. I look for entertainment mixed with a romance hot enough to give competition to the A/C. Freya’s Mates met my need.

Freya is a woman on the run. She’s looking for something that’s missing in her life and she’s getting to the point of feeling it’ll never happen. She’s down in the dumps, sad, afraid and very lonely. The author did a nice job of getting me to care for the young princess. I thought it a cute touch with the French fry frenzy and the results that came after. I got to understand her confusion and her yearning and how difficult it must have been to let go and to finally trust in another person. The treasures that come from her giving her trust are sweet but don’t come without a few scratches and claw marks to make it interesting. I liked her independent spirit and spunky nature. What worked well for this tale was the fact that she didn’t fight herself. Once she accepted that the guys were truly interested in her, herself, she jumped in with tail wagging.

Gideon, Vincent and Darius are three guys who, as a whole, fill the dark and empty places within Freya’s heart. But individually, these hunky heroes have enough depth of character to take their places by the heroine’s side. I am also thrilled that this story is very much a standalone read. I hadn’t read the first book in the series, but I didn’t need to. Ms. Espino has told a tale that is about Freya, Darius, Gideon and Vincent, and no one else. The other secondary characters bring extra zing and interest to the story and enhanced my reading experience. The editing is well done, the dialogue brisk and personable and the descriptions of them all of together, absolutely delicious in its heat and passion.

Freya’s Mates: Pack Seduction, 2 hit my happy buttons and completely entertained me. It’s a romantic and fun story that made the clock disappear. I liked reading about Freya and, because of this book, I am going to be checking out her sister’s story that had come first. If that tale is as good as this one, I’m in for another treat.

Jessie has been a favorite heroine from the beginning because of her great personality and ability to separate her desire for the men from her need to complete the mission. There were a couple of surprises revealed to Jessie in this novella that brought a whole other dimension to her story. Very revealing!

If you enjoy a fun series with likeable characters and a plot that has you anxiously awaiting the next installment, the Wilde, Nevada books are not to be missed. These stories aren’t overly long so, it isn’t too late to start at the beginning. Austin’s story can’t get here quick enough for this reviewer. I hope you join me in Nevada…where the men are Wilde and the women like it that way!
