I think the thing that did it for me was the constant addressing of the trust issue between all four of them. I got it the first time, maybe the second emphasized the problem, but after that, it became superfluous.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait for Liam & co’s story! I would recommend reading this series but it is not necessary to get the most out of this book, as it stands alone fine. Absolutely recommended by me.

This is one of the shorter books in the series but there is still a great story here. I would have preferred it to be a bit longer but that’s just my preference. I loved the relationship between the three alphas together and the three with Farrah.

I wasn’t too sure about the big bad in this one. With it being a novella, it wasn’t completely clear who he was or what he had done, just that he wasn’t ‘nice’. It would have been better if that had been fleshed out a bit more but then the word count may have gone up!

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read. It’s great being in their world, even though none of the other characters from previous books made a showing here. If you are after a quick coffee-break book then I have no hesitation in recommending this one or the series as a whole.

She was a tad annoying at times but then, what nineteen-year-old isn’t? They all have baggage in their pasts and it takes the four of them as a unit to work through some of the problems.

This was a great addition to the series that I enjoyed reading. Full of steam, sass, and sheer alpha-ness that I can definitely recommend.

It was great to see not only Tracy grow and thrive, but Karen too. Dylan also has to have his epiphany and ‘Come to Mama’ moment, so having time to read about each character without feeling like it is rushing to the end was wonderful.

The world-building is excellent and the characters likeable – apart from those you’re not supposed to! The author definitely researched the emotional and psychological states of an abused spouse and was able to eloquently give that information to the reader without it being an info-dump.

This book does share some page time with Claire, Bryce, Joshua, and Kaiden from book one, Owned by the Alphas, but you don’t have to have read that for this one to make sense. This was a brilliant read, thoroughly enjoyed by me, and highly recommended.

Granted, she also sends out a couple hot bodyguards to trail her so, eventually she’s not completely alone.

The book packs a whole lot of heat and is just long enough to be honestly entertaining. Sometimes with insta-lust all you get is a whole lot of bedroom action but no real story. Not the case here. My main problem with insta-lust is that I feel like I lose the relationship build up in favor of fast tension that always leads to sex and chemistry is implied rather than seen or felt.

Having said that, the author does a good job of keeping the reason Brooklyn is on the run important to the story. Sure there’s plenty of open door explicit happy time between Brooklyn, Liam, Callum and Aidan but I expected that. I also wanted to actually see them figure out the mystery and there be some real closure. The author didn’t disappoint.

Readers who want the menage fantasy but love a good thrilling mystery on the side should give In the Flames a read. Lust turns to love in this fast paced HEA.

She admits to smelling them. Is that part of the world or just them, in those circumstances?

Saying that, though, this was a good easy read that kept me turning the pages. I did love the three men and their differences. If you are looking for something that isn’t too in-depth or bogged down with details, then I would have no hesitation in recommending this book. It is the fourth book in the series but can definitely be read as a standalone.

Oh, and one last – that forced seduction tag? I wouldn’t worry too much about that. They all want it, they just agree the timing is bad!

The characters all work, both separately and as a group. They all have baggage and reasons to be the way they are, and you can’t help but feel for them. This is billed as the first book in a series and I would definitely like to continue, just to see where this is going to go next.

With a smooth pace and an HFN ending, this was a great story that I thoroughly enjoyed and have no hesitation in recommending.

On the one hand it felt pretty clichéd (and the three bears…) but on the other it really helped lighten what could have been a rocky introduction and I feel it’s certainly possibly the author wrote this with a bit of tongue-in-cheek whimsy – which I enjoyed. The story as a whole felt equal parts clichéd and amusing, the tequila fueled party-night after seeing her ex, the dreams and the beginning of the relationship itself all were well-written but nothing new. What really drew my attention though was Christa’s style and tone of voice. I really related to her and empathized with her situation a lot more than I expected. I wanted to see how she dealt with three enormous men. I found myself invested very early on and this helped sway me into enjoying the book rather than finding it too over the top or clichéd.

Readers looking for a complicated plotline or a paranormal tale won’t find that here. Considering the cover art, the “three brother Baers” and a few other tid-bits I expected this story to be a Paranormal about three bear-shifters, which wasn’t the case. I wasn’t disappointed – but I was a little puzzled and surprised. That said, I found this to definitely be a fun, sexy and slightly cheeky story with oodles of steamy hot three-on-one sex. The main aspect of the plot is Christa developing her relationship with the three Baers – Asher, Felix and Tate – and them all working out how they fit best together. I believe that readers who enjoy strongly erotic, emotional stories should find this hits all the right spots for them.

With a delicious – but again slightly clichéd – ending, three hot, handsome brothers and more erotic interludes than you can poke a stick at, I found this to be a light, entertaining and fun story that left me smiling and feeling good.

It absolutely has some strongly worded language and if you blush easily I’d recommend you read this in private – not on a public commute to work or where you’ll get curious glances. I loved the pacing of the story – I felt the introductions to Ruby and Joshua in particular were excellently written and drew me right in almost immediately. As a reader I felt initially that I connected quickly to Ruby and found her to be a relatable character I could sympathize with. She had plenty of desires but after being burned in the past she squashed them all firmly. After the story swapped to Joshua’s perspective I also found him a lovely character I really wanted to know more about. As the story progressed there are some strong secondary characters that are also introduced and (I hope!) main characters of the two upcoming books in the series.

I found there to be plenty of sex, and while kinky and extremely detailed I also definitely found there to be an emotional connection between Ruby and Joshua. It’s a very fine line, but while I liked the emotional connection between them I didn’t really feel like there was a romantic link between them, and for me this was the main thing I found lacking in the story. I had no doubt that Ruby and Joshua lusted for each other, that they were sexually attracted and fitted together well. Their needs and desires were very well suited. But I didn’t really feel that the spark of romance was there between them and annoyingly (for me) I felt this was in large part due to Ruby – who simply would not let go of her previous bad experience and trust Joshua.

Why Ruby couldn’t see how she was constantly being set up – even after Joshua had proven himself and assured her multiple times – really annoyed me and squashed a bit of my enjoyment of the story. Mis-trusting your partner once, or in trying circumstances even twice, I can understand. But Ruby doubted Joshua over and over and it just got to the point where it really dragged the story down for me. A BDSM relationship in particular needs to be built on trust – if she constantly questioned his loyalty, how can I believe she’d trust him to do kinky things to her? I really wanted to shake Ruby near the end of the story, which was sad because there’s so many other excellent things that I genuinely enjoy here. The sex scenes were delicious, I was very intrigued by Joshua’s friends and hope they get their own stories and much of the BDSM club scenes were really interesting.

With a couple of major exceptions this is a good story and strongly written. I will certainly be keeping an eye out for the next two in the series.

This was a sweet sexy shifter story. It was short but interesting and I enjoyed reading it.

The plot of this story was interesting and the characters were likeable but I was expecting more than the bit of low suspense. Ruby stood out to me as a very strong heroine who was willing to stand up for the right thing for everyone. She took the situation in stride at discovering her origins and that she would have three shifter mates. Get ready for some hot mating sex in this one. I was fine with that part but felt that the conflict ended a bit too suddenly. I liked the story, but it was missing something for me. To sum up my opinion, it was nicely written but not very exciting. A good read for a couple hours, anyway, and onward to the next book by this author.

I recommend this short sexy book as a quick and satisfying read for those who enjoy hot shifter romance.
