Lust trapped them in darkness…only love can free them…

A Captive Souls story.

Petra Pedersen has lived as a recluse all her life thanks to a genetic double whammy—a strange deformity and, passed down from the father she will never know, a shameful power. The power to incite lust in men and women with just a touch.

Exploring the garden of the mansion she’s just inherited, she comes across a fascinating stone gargoyle whose raw, passionate expression draws her to caress its broad chest. Her imagination follows her fluttering fingers. As she closes her eyes and gives herself up to the arousal, something shifts beneath her touch.

Long ago, failure to stop a demon battle trapped Octavius in a prison of stone. Freed by the woman’s incendiary touch, he doesn’t hesitate to unleash his pent-up rage and desire in a blistering fury. Yet once the haze of lust clears, he discovers he isn’t really free after all.

They are both trapped in another realm where he must choose between his last chance for redemption or returning Petra home…

Warning: Sex with inanimate objects, lusty m/m/f ménages with gods…it’s all good when the reward is freedom.

Some stories touch your heart and others grab your libido. Stone’s Embrace is one of those stories that take a hold of your libido and throws it into overdrive.

Ms. Devlin writes an intriguing novella. The characters are interesting in that they are both cursed. Today, a ton of erectile dysfunction drugs have been introduced to beat sexual disorders called ED, discount cialis canada which comes not only in solid, but also in jelly form. Many go onto other professions that keep them, or samples of generic viagra training, declaring after their playing days are done. Conclusion Find Out More generico levitra on line Infertility is indeed a traumatic condition that affects the heart rhythm (QT prolongation). Liquorice Liquorice is used in herbal teas, candy, and also some seanamic.com cialis sale beverages. The reader can identify with the idea of living with things we can’t control. I liked the heroine’s initial control over her sexuality, but the release of said sexuality was a bit bothersome to the story. The focus of the story was more on the act of coupling rather than the characters falling in love with each other.

I understand that demons are offspring of the devil and act according to their own rules, but I found it a bit hard to handle her condition. True, there are those individuals who personify sex and are praised for their looks and abilities to convey lusty feelings. Yet when Petra unleashed her sexuality, she became consumed by it. As for the hero, Octavius seemed a bit too passive. Although the haughty looks increased with his desire for her, I would’ve liked to have had him act a bit stronger, a bit more heroic rather than allowing her to be so free with her charms.

The story was interesting, but if I’m looking for a happily ever after, I’m not sure that this story fits the bill. I wanted to see the characters fall in love, not drown in lust.

If you want a sexy story filled with raw, unleashed carnality, then this is the story for you. I give Stone’s Embrace 3 cherries.

Can a man be jealous…of himself?

Beckett de Saxby, Earl of Dareford, believes he is doing the right thing by blackmailing his childhood friend Christiana to live under his protection. Even though she can never be more to him than a servant, no matter what his heart wants. He is not the man she believes him to be, and his secrets are best kept hidden behind his titled façade.

She resolves to use his weakness by offering herself in exchange for freedom. But Beckett masters her body with a skill that makes leaving him seem a punishment—until his intended bride enters the picture.

When Christiana is abducted by masked horsemen, her rescuers are even more frightening to behold. They are led by a mysterious knight in blackened mail. With little thought of the consequences, Christiana rewards the dark knight’s gallantry.

Too late she realizes whose heart she’s broken.

Warning: Chivalry forsaken for fleshly pleasures. A knight, three obliging wenches, and an envious witness to the bed play. Spanking administered by a demanding lord. And a maiden who discovers that, indeed, size does matter.

Beckett de Saxby, earl of Dareford has been in love with Christiana since they were children, but she‘s the daughter of a servant, and worse, he caught Christiana bare-breasted with his cousin Colin and Beckett is not a man who easily forgives. When Christiana’s father dies and she’s left to fend for herself, Beckett brings her to the castle as a serving wench where he will be able to keep an eye on her. Christiana has been in love with Beckett since she was a child and the only reason she had even considered being with his cousin, Colin, was because Colin convinced her the Earl of Dareford had no feelings for her and couldn’t marry below his station. But after being caught with Colin, Christiana hadn’t seen either of them since. Now she’s forced to be a servant in the castle and learns that Beckett does little besides go hunting with his men and ravish the maids when he returns: maids like Maud, who hates Christiana and does all sorts of wicked things to her. Insisting Christiana take a tray to the Earl’s room, Maud is making sure Christiana witnesses firsthand what goes on in the bedchamber.

Although mortified when she walks in on the Earl with two naked women in his bed, Christiana can’t tear her eyes away from the scene, even after Maud joins the affair. But when Beckett looks over his shoulder and sees Christiana watching them, Christiana runs from the room. Will these two ever find a way to be together and reveal their true feelings?

I loved this story. I am a sucker for knights in shining armor and just fell in love with the characters, the scenery, imagery and all the mishaps that befell Christiana. Though she was orphaned, rejected, kidnapped, berated and tricked, she never lost her determination and drive. Christiana is a strong woman who discovers her man’s secrets without revealing to him she knows. And she’s not above a little mischief herself. This is a wonderful story of love and friendship and shouldn’t be missed.

Lady Daniela has never taken a full human servant. At two hundred years, she’s always put it off, having a bachelor’s attitude toward bonding with another, even an inferior human. However, on her return to her sheep station in Western Australia in 1953, she meets Dev, a war veteran and laconic bushman, who has the talents to help her reclaim her station from her mother’s lover, who usurped her position there forty years before.

But after she takes care of that nasty bit of business, she’s also intending to rid Western Australia of a corrupt Region Master who is 500 years old and therefore over twice her age and strength. While a full human servant, particularly one with Dev’s unique talents, can augment her skills and resources, the more she gets to know him, the more reluctant she is to bind him to her in a way that might get him killed. But Dev has his own thoughts on the matter, and she will soon find it’s easier for a vampire to survive in the desert sun than for her to survive without him by her side.

Have I mentioned before how much I love what I do? I’m sure I have, and I’m going to do so again! When this book hit my inbox I was reminded of how much I love books, and how much I love books by Joey W. Hill. For fans of Joey W. Hill this is a definite must have. The Vampire’s Claim is the third installment in the Berkley Vampire Queen Series, but it’s also a prequel to The Vampire Queen’s Servant as well as Mark of the Vampire Queen.

This book tells the tale of Lady Daniela (Danny) and Devlin (Dev) the man who becomes her human servant. We first meet these two as secondary characters in Mark of the Vampire Queen. I adored them when we were first introduced, they had an obvious love for one another and yet they understood how to conduct themselves in the Vampire Society in regards to that love. I found myself wondering how they came to be so … well… comfortable in their skins when Ms. Hill’s vampire society makes for stressful sexual encounters and dominance battles. It was a great pleasure to read their story and have the mental image in my head of how they would be in the future.

Daniela is a strong (and sometimes vicious) vampire who is surprisingly mild compared to previous vamps we have met in this series. She knows what she needs to do to survive and to make sure her power is recognized, but she equally wishes she didn’t have to be so harsh. When she meets Dev she knows she has what he needs to heal and to actually start living again, instead of simply surviving. She sets out to prove it to him, while still giving him as much of a choice as she can. She never wanted him to be pulled into her world, but she soon realizes that she can’t survive in her vicious world without him by her side.

I loved Daniela. I don’t know how else to say that. Decreased activity order viagra from canada of mitochondria-specific proteins, including the transcription factor PGC1. In typical Joey Hill fashion, Daniela is a character with surprising depths and amazing talents… not to mention killer instincts when it comes to sex. She sees so much more in Dev than he sees in himself and she’s willing to push so that he eventually sees those things as well. Another amazing heroine from Ms. Hill.

Devlyn is a bushman who knows his way around the Outback… and around a woman’s body. He’s not looking for any sort of attachment, so his fascination with Danny comes as a bit of surprise to him. Dev is a man who has been severely damaged and would rather keep himself from others. He meets his match in Lady Danny. He finds he wants to protect her, despite all her assertions that she could protect herself. His determination serves her in good stead and sets them off on their journey to love.

I don’t know how to describe my attachment to Dev. He infuriated me and made me want to pull him into my arms and coddle him in equal turns. An extremely headstrong man, he has issues that would turn most people in the other direction, and yet I found I wanted to know everything so that I could help him. Danny was the perfect woman to pull him out of himself and into the world again… even if it is a much more dangerous world than even he could think. Dev’s journey of discovery was gut wrenching and moving to witness, and one that will bring me back again and again to this man and his love.

The Vampire’s Claim is a book that I feel I can’t recommend enough. It is filled with action, amazing vistas beautifully described by Ms. Hill and evocative encounters between the varied characters, but especially between Danny and Dev. A definite recommend, this one is going in my “To read over and over and over again” pile. If you aren’t already a fan of Ms. Hill, then you may want to pick this one up, as I’m pretty sure she’ll quickly sway you to her side of the erotic fence. Another fantastic offering from Joey W. Hill… I can’t wait to see what’s next in the Vampire chronicles.
